(Interest Check) New Pokegirls RP

So, the search I ran verifies that the last pokegirl rp seems to have died somewhere around July. My apologies if that is incorrect, but reading a bit on what they tried to do, I have some slightly different ideas in mind concerning the system. If anyone objects to me doing a complete reboot... I'm not entirely certain there is much anyone short of a mod can do to stop me.

Also, this RP really only runs with the concept the original fanfiction group developed. Beyond anthropomorphic pokemon females being trained for sex and combat by their trainers, there really isn't any further connection or inspiration.  

Concerning the battle system I had in mind, it involves running some simple formulas on the base stats of all the various pokemon presently available. A combination of the results and die rolls will determine the outcome, which will be RPed by trainers and their girls. If enough people commit, I'll do a full write up with some explanations and maybe even examples, and field any questions or concerns. 

In order to get this off the ground, I want AT LEAST five OR seven more people. One woman will play my three 'girls, one couple we can partner up with, and another couple or two to play our rival(s) or antagonist(s). One person will be the trainer, the other will play three pokegirls. For simplicity's sake, that's the limit for how many 'girls a trainer can have. 

Please proceed to serebii.net and choose three relatively basic pokemon between the two of you. They don't have to be the useless 'mons like rattata or pidgey or whatever (unless you want to) but absolutely no legendaries or particularly powerful rares or uniques. I'm trying to base this off of brand new trainers just starting their journeys, so nothing too awesome. If this can last more than a few pages, then we can capture cooler girls and evolutions can happen.

Note the base stats of your choices, and their first six techniques. Those things, and their elemental typing, are critical when it comes to combat, so the sooner you get them down, the easier it'll be to start kicking ass. 

When it comes to cross genders or men playing as the pokegirls, so long you find a partner, it's ok. But I cannot stress this enough: GET A PARTNER AND HASH THINGS OUT WITH THEM BEFORE SAYING YOU WANT IN. This goes for everyone across the board. If you don't have a partner, then I will happily answer any questions, but I will not budge on this point. If the two of you can't commit to what I hope to make a longterm RP, don't ask for special treatment.

If no one objects, I'll GM and play as well. If there are objections, then we will put the word out. I only have the beginning of the RP plotted out though, so I figure we can collaborate on how to proceed after that.

This is just an interest check. As I said, if we can get either five or seven people together, then we can proceed to the next phase of official character development and laying out the system as a whole.

I've never played in a pokegirlds RP, but have seen many other games fail due to gender imbalance, which pokegirls often leads to.  Also, allowing someone to play multiple characters puts the game in a huge bind if that person drops or needs to take a break.

Well, I get that there are some inherent difficulties. I certainly think this is worth trying to get going, but I sure won't cut my wrists if it dies too. So long people have fun for a while.

Also, thank you very much for the interest, Kitten and Fox. However, just to clarify, this is kind of like and alternate universe pokegirls. No Sukube, no Goths, no anime based girls. What I envisioned has much more in common with the video games and the anime, just adapted for furries, basically.

Yeah, girls based on eevee and vulpix are absolutely A-OK. If you want to base your characters off what the pokegirl world project had, that's ok. Just so long they are within line.

Based on pokemon, yeah. What they actually look like or act like is completely up to you. I'm just trying to distance this game from the pokegirl world project a bit, because that's a whole lot of stuff I'd just kinda rather not deal with. I'm trying to make it a bit more open to people who haven't heard of it before or got into it because of all the extra elements.

I don't know how you guys feel about parody and satire in this, but I could certainly see running with it. The pokegirls are just out there hiding in the tall grass waiting to pounce on trainers, just like in the games. If you do want a bit more serious of a take on it, then yes, the pokegirls are a natural part of the environment, completely replacing pokemon in this world. I was thinking they could speak English, but their level of intelligence is whatever you opt to make it.

Pokeballs are available to transport many pokegirls over long distances, or to keep an injured one stable until medical attention can be had. Whether they travel around with their tamers in them is completely up to their owner. A popular light punishment for girls that prove particularly difficult, jealous, or spiteful is to "ball" them for a day or two, basically grounding them so they can think about what they did.

The win/loss conditions are determined before each official battle. But if bandits or thugs like Team Rocket win, the owner needs to be quick to prevent them from stealing her and having their way with her.

And hey, if two people want to do double battles, there will be double battles.

Go to serebii.com or bulbapedia or whatever site you like and put down the first six attacks, as well as the chosen ability if there are multiple ones for each of your pokegirls. Then look at the base stats. Divide HP by 10, and divide all the other stats by 20, rounding up or down where appropriate. We'll use those stats, in conjunction with die rolls, to determine the effectiveness of attacks, but both partners are heavily encouraged to think up strategies and combinations and try to take advantage of feasible circumstances.

For example, flying types fighting out in the daylight, or in an arena with stadium lighting can make a roll to put the sun or lights at their back, making it harder for the opponent to see and target them. If you roll evens, you get the bonus, and then your opponent will have to roll at least a three before every attack to hit you until your next move. Of course, you are so high up there as well, so unless you have a ranged attack, you can't hit them. Seriously, be creative. So long it's feasible and you make the roll, I won't raise a complaint.

Remember, basic pokemon only. You don't have to choose starters (though they are recommended). Nidoran, Caterpie, Sentret, Mareep, Poochyena, Swellow, Shinx, Budew come to mind, but they are only examples. And yes, Unova pokemon are fine as far as I'm concerned.
