The premise of this roleplay is the reverse of one of my previous roleplays, wherein the creatures of fantasy were hunted down mercilessly, the people of good and bad (human and non-human alike) would have to flee a city besieged by an army of horrors. I want to start with three or four survivors and maybe two or three monsters, (Template below) the survivors, (Women preferably, but female monsters would open up an entirely new realm of possibilities, doesn't matter), will have to flee from safe point to save point (different threads), being picked up by the monsters and dealt with, leaving it up to the other survivors to either leave the member, or save them (If left, the number of posts is sorta left to the monster, but you can decide whether or not you want to keep your character or create a new one.). A multitude of characters would be used, the monsters need to be unique, I don't just want three tentacle monsters, maybe a ravening swarm of small monsters, maybe a gigantic daemon, or a hellhound, (tentacle monsters are cool, just not en mass. I'm going to write the first paragraph and give an idea as to the sort of Armageddon will be happening.

Sitting at the base of a towering mountain, a city for all goodly folk shines brightly, clean white rock making up towering spires and flying buttresses. A bustling market in the height of growing season is the centerpiece of the large city, a place where every race is there to buy or sell goods of their craft, Orcish hides, Dwarvish smithing, Elven art and human agriculture. The people in the square were as diverse as one could imagine, but in a single moment, all eyes turned skyward. The sun was being blotted out, a sudden solar eclipse was upon them, followed by great fissures opening in the ground, gouts of flame hundreds of feet high flaring out. A rumble could be heard, and the mountain seemed to crumble, a great torrent of rock beginning to slide and tumble towards the city. Then, the monsters came. From the seas came great serpents and writhing masses of tentacles, from the earth sprung forth demon hounds and hellish lords and the skies rained fire and blood, winged devils bringing terror and death. The world went mad then, rivers of blood to come.

So the survivors would start out in the city and escape via a tunnel in the mountains, running from sanctuary to sanctuary. The demons would of course, pluck the survivors from the locations, prompting the gauntlet run to the next safe-zone and they would have their way with the captured survivor until rescue or the decision to create a new character happens.

Survivor

Name:

Gender: (Female until special circumstance.)

Bio/History: (Who they are, what they did, how they survived)

Appearance: (Picture or Paragraph)

This is the first time I have done a roleplay like this in particular, and I hope you take interest in the idea.

Wyrd

I'm interested. Does it matter if I'm either a monster or a survivor?

Vaulera

First come first served, make whoever you want.

Laughing Hyena

Didn't you do something like this already? ;_;

Alright I'll play along. Since I never play female it looks like Im a hideous monster. ^_^ Maybe its better that i get to indulge my bad side now and then.

TheHangedOne

Question. Is this going to be like a survival/horror game with a sprinkling of smut, or is it going to be more like smut with some survival/horror aspects?

Either way, I'd be interested in playing a monster.

To be honest, since i'm not planning on playing myself, I was going to leave the actual content of the roleplay to the players. For example, I have an addition to that template there that adds things like their "Class" and their particular abilities and weapons. I didn't pull that out immediately because I didn't know whether or not people wanted smut or an actual horror/survival rp, because I am fine with gming either, but if I wasn't playing, the latter seems to be more fun.

Sonja

I guess I'm the first interested escapee player then.  I'm just settling on a picture.

ExisD

I'd be interesting in playing one of the girl who's trying to run away if this idea is still open.

schnookums

I'd also be interested in playing a survivor as well, I figured I should get a go ahead before coming up with the character though. :)

Vaulera

I was pretty sure that this thread was murdered, but if you want to try to revive interest, I certainly won't object.

schnookums

Heh, I should have checked the dates on the other posts...but I blame the person posting before me for reviving this ;)

ExisD

Sorry, I didn't think a week was too long for something since I've seen interest threads be silent for longer then suddenly come back and begin in the past.

Vaulera

No guys, I'm thrilled that there is still interest, If you want to make a character, make one.

ExisD

My big question is, one you asked before, but I don't think it was answered. Is the game going to be more smut or survival horror focused? I ask because I have an idea for both, but knowing which ahead of time is important.

ivygrowth

I'd be interested in playing a survivor as well if this game is still going.

I thought I answered it I thought, but either way, I would cater it to what the majority wants, so I might run a poll, but at the moment it is smutty.

Well here's my current character submission then. Does this sound good?

Name: Samantha Estevan
Gender: Female
Bio/History: The daughter of a minor merchant Sam had lived a live of relative luxury for most of her years. Her father had provided her with whatever she asked so long as it was within his means. What she chose to learn was horse riding and how to survive in the wilderness. Though her excursions were always with some sort of escort she eventually learned her way around the surrounding landscape.

It was thanks to these skills that she was able to survive. Without any real combat training, she'd only learned how to use a staff properly by her teacher's insistence, Jessica stayed to the shadows and managed to evade capture so far.

Appearance: Picture here

Vaulera

That's a good start, if this thing manages to revive itself after all this time, I will be amazed.

TheHangedOne

What sort of character sheet would you want to see for a monster?

From what I have seen, the likes/dislikes of the roleplayers volunteering are pretty okay with extreme (I guess this kind of thing attracts that) so I would make it as unique as you can, with tentacles or hounds or humanoid but different, what I really want to see are extremely unique demons, I don't want to see your cookie cutter eight feet tall humanoid stuff.

SeriousMoonlight

Is there still room for survivors? I'd like to try this out if there's still room for another :>
Hello, I'm Moon!
My preferred pronouns are they/them/their/theirs/themself! Thank you!

Ideally, I want three or four survivors and two monsters, mind you these monsters have to be unique as all hell. Submit as soon or as late as you want, I'll call it when I think i've reached the limit of my GMing Capabilities. Again, looking at the ons and offs, everybody is okay or into extreme stuff, how do you guys feel about that?

Name: Crystal
Gender: Female

Bio/History: (Who they are, what they did, how they survived)
Crystal was an apprentice hunter, working for her father, before Armageddon  They were well known enough, providing a range of hides and meat to the markets and tanneries.  She was a quiet, introverted person even at seventeen years of age, and had never liked the hustle and bustle of the city.  She loved nature, and spent entire days just watching the animals live their lives.  She hunted by necessity, and was sure to use every bit of the animal, and honour its death.

She was in the city selling a load of hides when it happened, and only survived through a combination of her skill with the bow and dagger, and her willingness to run like hell.

Alright, here goes my monster... tell me if it's good enough, or if it needs to be toned down/beefed up. Also, not sure if I should go straight into XXX territory when describing his appearance, so I played it safe, and didn't. I can go back and add that, though.
Name: Ixilthuth
Gender: Male

Bio/History: All Ixilthuth has known is hunting, and fleeing from stronger hunters, in whatever hell that spawned the infernal beast. Now that he has been unleashed into a world of weak things, he plans to glut himself and sate himself upon these creatures.

Appearance: At only five feet tall, this creature could be considered small of stature.  A smaller size has actually been quite beneficial to it, allowing it to hide with greater ease.

Ixilthuth has the appearance of some sort of chimerical creature. The left "arm", if one can call it that, is more like a round orb upon the left shoulder with multiple holes in it. He is able to deploy up to six very strong tentacles, up to a distance of twelve feet; he is also capable of retracting them inside the pauldron-esque "orb", to keep them safe. These tentacles are good for not only grabbing things, but also aid in swimming, in a somewhat obtuse fashion.  Suction cups on the end allow him to hold onto objects.

The right arm is quite human, but hypertrophied; even when standing at full height, his arm is long enough to touch the ground, though it is typically kept braced along his stomach. The hands have two inch long, knife-like talons, which are good for ripping and tearing. Long fingers (between  eight and ten inches) have far more muscles and bones than a human could ever have, giving the creature a high degree of dexterity, and also endowing it the ability to handle very large objects.

Ixilthuth's legs are far more uniform and utilitarian in design. Thick and powerfully built, like a racing horse, they are, however, distinctly human in shape. Leather-like skin along the bottom of his feet allow him to shrug off the pain of traversing rough terrain, or things like broken glass. Tendons in the legs are possessed of an extreme elasticity, which allows for greater-than-human jumping.

The upper and lower chest of Ixilthuth is distinctly human in shape and size, and very athletically built; very sleek and angular. The head is semi-human in shape, being somewhat smaller. He is possessed of three eyes, two in the area where a human's would be, and a third slightly above and between the two (center of forehead). These eyes contain nictitating membranes, which protect against dust and irritants, and enable him to go several minutes without blinking.  His eyes are also capable of seeing well in low-light conditions, but as a consequence, the creature is dazzled and blinded by bright lights.

Three horns jut out from the forehead, and curve around it, creating a sort of armoring.

Over all, Ixilthuth's skin is obsidian black in color, which allows him to blend into darkened areas quite well. Even the horns, despite being made of bone, are black in color.

That is a really good monster profile, right on, he is unique in the extreme.

Sonja

Name: Vanessa
Gender: Female
Bio: Vanessa was one of the city's most sought-after and highly paid dancers.  Rumor had it she would do more than dance for enough gold.  She was performing at a tavern when the attack came.  The bouncers did their best to hold the intruders back and Vanessa managed to sneak out the back while they were being overrun.  Now the young woman finds herself out on the dangerous streets in just her skimpy dancing silks.  She'd better make it out quick.

Name: Hunter
Gender: Female
Bio: Hunter was a courier for many of the city's elite, delivering both goods and messages. What was much less know were two major facts: She was a spy, and she was not a boy like she presented herself as. Having grown up on the streets she quickly learned that being seen as male was marginally safer. Her cunning and skills allowed her to rise in station, but with the downfall of the city and the monster attacks none of that mattered now. She was able to use her cunning and knowledge of the city to escape, but now she was out of her element, with only her wits and her few belongings to keep her safe...

Two Potential Monster Bios - For Your Consideration
Please let me know if either appeal to you, and if you have any questions or concerns please let me know and I'll be happy to alter.  There is also a third monster I can describe upon request who is, essentially, a combination of the two below.

Name: Halna

Gender: Masculine

Appearance: Black anthro-serpent.  Standing far taller than his prey, a wide tail curves and rising into a vaguely human upper torso, but longer, well built and wide but with the muscles following the long curves of a female figure.  From above the torso the long neck reaches down to the wide, diamond serpent's head, tilted so that his one good eye can better see.  A main of braided hair pulses red light from the crown of the head, down the back and all the way down the long, curling tail.  As the pulses flow over the silky black skin and lithe muscles, they illuminate the many, many lines of scars too deep for his skin to shed - the lines of blades, the diamonds of stab marks, the circular punctures of fangs and the parallel slashes of claws, all littering his tail, arms and wide torso.  Yet all these old wounds have done nothing to damper the stare of that one good eye, as the expanse of orange blinks sidewise, the slitted pupil focusses, and the line of the jaw splits into a long, jagged white smile.

Bio: Like most demons, Halna feeds off negative emotions.  But his own favourite flavours are fear, and helplessness.  Fear that the shadows are watching you, that something you cannot see is closing in on you, chasing you, hunting you, breathing down the nape of your neck.  And the helpless knowledge that, sooner or later, it is going to find you, catch you, use you, break you - and that there is nothing you can do to stop it.  That is this demon's second favourite meal.  And his favourite - that comes later.

Extended:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
The demon realm borders many worlds unlike our own.  One such world, whose name requires a far wider mouth and more teeth to pronounce properly, is the world where Halna died.

When one is cast into Hell, most sane minds simply break under the weight of horrors engulfing them.  But a very rare few react differently.  They react by learning, by understand what's around them, and becoming worse.  Halna was one such as this.  He has spent his unlife constantly striving to understand the inhabitants of the demonic planes, to learn what makes them fierce and frightening, and how to frighten them in return.  Fear has become his power, and the machinations and manipulations of fear, his utter obsession.  And one of the greatest tricks he ever learned is the power of not being seen.

Halna's chief ability comes in the form of portals.  An ability he observed from night haunts, and then adapted himself, initially for defence - to disappear and reappear elsewhere via a plume of black smoke - an ability he quickly re-adapted to offence.  Being able to disappear from his demonic pursuer at will, and reappear somewhere else, anywhere else - in the shadows nearby, above, right behind them, an unseen whisper promising their end - that has become one of his favourite methods of exciting fear.  Over time he has taken the ability further, learning how to create openings in the world around him - vortexes that pull someone off their feat, rifts that suck the skin off a creature, or just holes through which to summon lesser creatures he has already broken to his will.  His favorite are those creatures he sees as his kin, and who he has dedicated much time to learning how to control with a direct accuracy.  Specifically - serpents.

Now, with the rise of Hell on earth, Halna also rises, a plume of black smoke falling of his oily shoulders, as he raises his diamond head to the strange, solitary sun, and smells the absence of sulphur in the clear, spring-time air.  And having spent an eternity finding all the ways to make demons cower with fear, he smiles his long white smile at the sight of so many small, fragile mortals for him to play with.  It's going to be a busy apocalypse.

Name: Lilith, The

Gender: Feminine

Appearance: Her favourite form of late is that of a young woman, with waves of orange hair and pale, supple skin.  Her face looks young and very beautiful, a smattering of freckles across her cheeks and small nose making her look nothing but playful and innocent.  But the illusion is shattered by her eyes, green and sparkling with a dangerous hunger.  And by the lips, smiling with the same danger as those eyes.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Bio: Lilith, as the original succubus, was the first to discover a new way to feed on a human's lifeforce - a much more pleasurable way.  Lilith enjoys the pleasure of her partner's climax, and is very practised at achieving this.  Perhaps not the worst way to go.  Though given that she enjoys pushing her victim to new heights of pleasure, letting her feel their climax stronger each time - and that her appetite can never be filled - given that, the question becomes: how long can you survive her embrace?

Extended:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Adam's first wife, created at the same time as him, as his equal, cast out by him in favour of the more subservient, unthinking Eve.  The original serpent, and since then the original succubus.

Needless to say, she harbours a... special place in her heart for the sons of Adam.  But she retains an even more reserved place for the daughters of Eve.  It has long since become her joy to play with the hearts, minds and bodies of her weak willed usurpers.  As a succubus she feeds off a human's life force, as contained in sexual climax and fluid.  Once fed, she gains access to more of her powers.  What we would call telekinesis, telepathy and astral-projection are her favourite three, often accompanied by visions of coiling black tentacles.  Three abilities she has become more than experienced with using to extract yet more life-force from her victim in new and ever varied, ever building ways.  And all this comes with the added benefit of letting her see just how much the sons and daughters of humanity can take, before their bodies, minds and souls break completely.  All while she innocently smiles, and continues to watch the show.
