How was it to do a semi-lottery story pairing?

Semi lottery? 

It’s been fun plotting with my writing partner, coming up with an idea to write about and getting it started.  It’s also been fun meeting someone new and getting to know them OC, that I may not of found using the other routes of finding partners to write with.   

I definitely recommend giving it a try.

They try to match you with people, so it's not purely random.  Which is good, because I've done full lottery rps and... well... they are more misses than hits.

I participated last month, but my lottery partner and I really weren't looking for the same things in a story.

It was still a worthwhile discussion, at least on my end.

Even if it doesn't work out, there's still the possibility of a good discussion and a new acquaintance.

My experience has been good so far. My partner and I tossed some ideas back and forth until we came up with an idea we both liked. It's been a good opportunity to write something that's a little outside of my normal repertoire with someone I probably wouldn't have approached under other circumstances. I suspect there will be some times where preferences still aren't compatible enough to last, but I think the profile is detailed enough that there's a decent chance it will work out.

I'm definitely going to do it again though I'm still trying to decide if I have the cycles to add another story at the moment. Probably not, but I may give in to temptation anyway.  ::)
