Tons of spam

I use ad blocker on my browser and I unlocked once. After I unblocked it on a single site that I frequent, I began receiving over a hundred spam emails a day from swinger, dating and other "hook up" type websites. I went some of them at first and unsubscribed. That seemed to just make it worse. Since then, I've just started emptying my spam folder. But it is annoying when I have to locate something gets put into that folder by mistake or the like.

Is there anything I can do to get these emails gone, or at least the volume of them to go down?

I set up filters on some of the common words in those sorts of spam-mails, and direct them straight to the trash.  You can usually filter by domain as well (such as *@hotkink.com).  There's one spam-group that always used the name 'Adrianna' - filtered to the trash.  (That one was always something like 'Did you get my message?' in the subject, with a link to some porno chat site in the body of the email.  Good thing I don't actually know anyone named Adrianna.)

Most email servers have a 'Settings' area.  GMail has a gear symbol for example.  Look in there for either 'Filters' or 'Blocked Addresses'.  You'll get a screen where you can select to create a filter based on any of the fields of an email (From, To, Subject, Body).  It will also give you an option of what to do with filtered mail - anything from sending it to a special folder (like if you were running a business and wanted 'ORDER' emails to be separated out), to just deleting it completely.
