Can't you just tell that there's no substance behind it when they spout that? Like if you asked them to elaborate, it would be like when someone asks a child who's been trained to spout bible verses what they mean and they have no idea what you're even asking, let alone how to answer. No thought whatsoever in the 'why', it's all about the 'what'. It's like the blank-eyed, cultist-smile missionaries that knocked on my door last night.

Significance of Stone

Stone was the campaign's primary link to WikiLeaks.  Among the things he was found guilty of were false statements to Congress/Mueller.  Some of the evidence that came out in the trial also points to Trump giving incomplete or misleading answers to Mueller about whether or not T. knew about the contents or timing of future WikiLeaks releases - although 'I do not recall' allows a lot of wiggle room.

When the witness leaves the stand, and the gallery gives her an ovation, the defense really needs to re-think their strategy.

I came upon his (D.T.'s) book Think Big And Kick Ass! at the local thrift shop the other week, and it was hilarious because the tone of it is so instantly recognizable from Trump's twitter feed and speeches a decade later. The same flood of "I know what it's like, they don't"- style pronouncements, the same overuse of "fantastic", "great" "worthless", exclamation marks and business anecdotes, the same refrain of "we need to be great again", all of it. He does think and talk just that way. :)
