It is just days after the Alliance victory over the Empire, with the destruction of the most powerful weapon the galaxy had ever seen. As the Alliance sets about gathering forces and rebuilding, a plan is put into action. Intelligence networks, seeing a chance to undermine the Empire, reach out with information that could lead to it's collapse. To this end, Task Force Banshee was formed. The goal is simple, break the Empire from within their own lines. Agents from across the galaxy were gathered to this end, and of those six would be chosen.

This is an interest check for a star wars game using the FFG system, nominally involving Age of Rebellion but accepting Edge of the Empire and Force and Destiny heroes. We will use duty while jedi will also have morality. Everyone will have a choice of an x-wing ot y-wing with an R2 to handle things like hyperspace navigation. I will be taking up to 6 characters. Characters will start at knight level play.

So many ideas.

Mind if I go for a Mirialan combat medic?

TheFourthShade

I don't have a definitive idea beyond a bruiser with a big heart, but I'm interested.

Captain Whitebread

I would like to throw my hat into the ring.

I’m considering a either a Togarian or Cathar pilot/hand to hand specialist, because I’m fairly certain that they didn’t include Carcardins in the allowable races yet.

If people need help with characters or the system just let me know.

I cheat. I have a character generator. Doesn’t detail skills or talents but it does reference where to find the descriptions

Let me guess, Oggdudes? I use that one too.

Forgot to put in that we'll be starting at knight level play and everyone will have an R2 astromech droid to help with the starfighters. You should also plan on playing a race that can fit in a cockpit, playing a wookie piloting a snubfighter might be hard.

What is Oggdudes? is the correct answer.

Character Name: Kohoutek
Species: Dug

Description:Dugs were recognizable for their unique gait. As opposed to walking on their feet, Dugs moved about on their hands, while their feet, which also acted like a second pair of hands, hung in the air, giving Dugs an inverted appearance. Dugs had elongated snouts, which sometimes grew fleshy tendrils that gave off the appearance of having facial hair. Dugs could often be found with dark purple skin that dominated their bodies. Their front sides were often lighter in color, and their faces could contain reddish hues.  He carries
two sai stun batons
and a matched set of
Madeltech Model 14s blaster pistols

Background: Kohoutek wasn't born with the name he goes by; it was given to him.  He doesn't even remember his birth name or his parents.  All he knew was servitude under the Gran, as a freighter pilot.  A chance encounter with the rebels introduced him to freedom and he jumped for it with both hands.  He is considered by many to be a prodigy of starfighter combat, mastering several different craft before his peers could master one.  He is still a long way from becoming any kind of a leader and has difficulty remaining calm in situations that bring him into proximity to Gran or the slave trade.

Personality: Most Dug are  known for their ill-tempered demeanor, and many were bullying thugs. Kohoutek was never permitted to experience that side of Dug culture, so he doesn't espouse it.  What he does do is work tirelessly for Dug emancipation from the Gran.  He pursues things that interest him with a single-minded intensity, whether it is flying or the freedom of his species.  He firmly believes that the Rebel's role as partizans demands that they work towards peace, while also requiring them to be martially superior.

Character sheet to follow.

fighter....

I'll propbably go with a Squadron Leader/gambler/ mixed with either a gunner or hot shot combo. Haven't quite decided yet.

Pumpkin Seeds

Might go Medic / Vanguard.  I like the idea of a sort of in your face, grab'em and run type that is focused on protecting her fellow soldiers and can kick some ass.

Captain Whitebread

Har-Vey comes to mind.  Just a little more agro.

She will probably be a bit intense.  Also probably change her over to a human or maybe a Mandalorian.  Heh..their version of a medic.

ShadowFox89

I just imagine Chains from payday 2 picking someone up. "Get the fuck up!"

Updated the initial post slightly, will add a full character form some point this week.

FFG SW! awesome on itself...

As noone have dared to post force user... I try my hat on that...

Twi'lek Padawan from the Republic times, saved by the last ships that fled the temple before the purge, now raised to adulthood... with "new breed" of Jedi.. following the Green Jedi teachings, and beef with the Empire.

Quan Frey' lia
Species: Twi'lek (Green)
Age: 29 (born 23 BBY)
Homeworld / Sector: Nal Hutta's moon, Nar Shaddaa [Nar Shaddaa coordinates: S-12]

Childhood:
Quan was bought from the Grambo the Hutt, by the traveling Jedi Knight, who sensed her force sensitivity. She never learned who was the Jedi knight who got her out, as the Jedi Purge destroyed most of the Jedi Lore. When the order 66 hit the galaxy, Quan was 4 year old and was made to board one of the last shuttles that fled Coruscant temple into the galaxy.

Adolescence:
Quan lived in constant flight or fight mode, as the empires inquisitors were hunting those who managed to flee the Jedi Purge. She managed to evade the hunters for years, and when she boarded an Merchant Explorer ship that was going to the Wild Space, she managed to find relative peace. Ship headed to Trianii Space, and she left the ship on planet Trian. She worked on the small spaceport in odd jobs and translator. Years went by, and the she found her link with the force grew stronger. Quan toke part on an exploration grew that wanted to made contact with the tribes deeper in the wild and during that trip, she stumbled on an ancient structure, that was an enclave of an ancient faction of the Jedi order, and from within, she found an recording datacron. She begun her training as an Green Jedi, bright sword against the Sith. Sure, Siths were long gone, but there were legion of the Fallen. Jedis turned to the darkside. [Trian coordinated: R-3]
Adulthood: She toke the fight to them for the first time. She was so out of the loop, what was going on around the galaxy at large, but she was living in target rich enviroment. First she started to do small scale sabotage on anything Imperial, and as her skills grew, she turned her attention to more surgical, targeting local Imperial key persons, dispatching them, trying to keep her powers hidden and using more mundane ways, as she knew using her training lightsaber would be sure way to call Inquisitor heat on her.
As she was scouting an Imperial convoy in Malastare, she noticed their reason to be there. They were scavenging an old ruins, which belong to the old Jedi order, and their leader was some guy in black overalls. She made her way to his tent, and started to loot the place. She made an mistake, as the Imperial leader got his job done quicker that days before, he caught her redhanded and when the fight started she was forced to use her training lightsaber and cut her way through. She stole Imperial transport shuttle and escaped, but now, she knew that the Inquisitors would be after her trail.
On the ship, she started to go through her loot and found an uncut Kyber crystal among them and instantly, as she touched it, they formed an bond.
She used her time to craft her lightsaber out from the crystal, knowing it will be the tool she needs to survive. During the months after that, she managed to evade the heat, but knew they were after her. As the Force willed, she was cornered by the Inquisitor and his croonies in Ingo System. She made short work on the croonies, but during that lightsaber show, bystanders got wind of what was happening. As the Inquisotor turned up, and was about the unleash on her, out from the blue, heavy blaster fire shrew him in bits. Quan was stunned by the even and when someone was motioning her to jump into the ship and she did not thing twise. Ship belong to crew that was flaged for the Rebellion, and it was Quan's entry to the cause. [Malastare coordinates: N-16, Ingo System coordinates R-8]

I think most of who play FFG SW cheat :)

I could not think of running my campaign without Oggdude's generator and discords dice app....

now, my campaign is on its 6th season 6th episode (each season has 12-16 episodes) + 1 spinoff season (10 episodes) + 1 standalone movie (6 episodes)..

(so there is quite a long list of NPCs, Locations, Vehicles, odd tech, organizations, and everything between ...

Wow that is amazing.

I have made star wars crawler for each season, spinoff and standalone movie..

Premise of the serie: Rebellion lost in the battle of Endor, but emperor Palpatine was killed. Rebel fleet fled. New emperor emerged from the chaos, Anakin I. He slaughtered Darth Vadar, descimated teh Imperial Inquisition and dismantled Moff rule and reinstalled Republic's senate. (aka. Julius Caesar, but remained imperator and head of the imperial navy). Galaxy was at peace.
For next 50 years... until.....

Do you have room for a complete novice at Star Wars FFG and FFG system in general?  This game sounds interesting. :)
By accepting what is and making the best use of every situation, life can be fulfilled without a constant demand for more. --Wen Tzu

In writing, a flaw is not the interesting part of a character.  What is interesting is how a person overcomes a flaw.  I want to read how a person overcomes a flaw, not how the flaw overcomes the person.
