Setting: Modern Day, Contemporary
Genre: Crime, Drama, Romance

Concept:
There was nothing ordinary about the crime let alone the victim.  DCI Lauren Ellison had been murdered in her own home.  It was not the call in which her daughter expected from the Metro Police.

There was an unexpected journey home—back to her mother’s house--back to London. Details of a life had to be sorted, arranged, and the privacy that DCI Ellison once had, it would unravel. Everyone knew of her estrangement with her husband, of why Caitlin left to live on the Isle of Man, but it was in the past. All families had difficulties, after all.

It would be an ex of Caitlin’s who would extend his friendship to her in this troublesome time, their past ‘break up’ being a mutual decision; better friends they were than lovers, or at least nearly six years ago when work and education seemed to dominate their time. At least Caitlin would not feel alone, lost, …other friends felt peculiar, not knowing how to even address Caitlin while other friends had moved away from London.

All things change with time.

This is a tale about re-discovery, second chances, sex, love and murder.
