Trump then told reporters: “I think it’s going to pass and it’s going to be very popular.”

He added: “It’s going to have lots of adjustments before it ends. But the end result will be a massive – the largest in the history of our country – tax cut.”

With crumbling infrastructure, underfunded schools, a wall to build, and a war looming on the horizon ... what could go wrong with a tax cut?

He's just going to have to print some more money, it costs no more than rolls of paper and coloured ink. ^%^

Who is surprised by Don the Con's giveaway to himself while screwing over the working and middle class with his clearly documented history of bankrupting businesses (even CASINOS) and leaving contractors and employees holding the bag while he makes a mint off of anyone stupid enough to trust him? Anyone? Anyone at all?

Not surprised at all.

Steve Bannon is now throwing in his support for Roy Moore.

Trump retweets videos from a far-right British hate group. Are we really surprised anymore? We already know he sympathizes with these people. Now he's just making it that much more obvious.

He's also doubling down on the birther conspiracy shit again.

Mexico will pay for the wall, maybe Canada will pay for the schools?

Don't give him any ideas. He's already trying to screw us over by trying to kill NAFTA.

Just when you thought the orange one couldn't get any lower he retweets posts from Britain First.

The BNP used to be the UK's extreme\ultra nationalist\racist party but when it disbanded a lot of the supporters went to UKIP the others formed Britain First because the BNP wasn't being racist enough. Trump has now thrown his support behind a Fascist political party, a party who's deputy leader is on trial both in the UK and Ireland for use of language designed to incite racial hatred and violence. Remember that when MP Jo Cox was murdered, her attacker was shouting "Britain First" as he did it. Trump is lending his voice to a group that is connected to the murder of a British politician.
What a fucking scumbag.

*nods* This really should be enough for May to cancel the misguided early invitation to DT to come to the UK for a state visit. Let's spare both Trump and old. venerable Queen Bess (not to mention the two young princes and their spouses) the unease of having to go through a joyless visit with all horses and carriages, massive anti-Trump demonstrations and lots of enforced security up and down London.

Trump is scheduled to visit the UK in 2018 but it was downgraded from a full state visit with carriage rides and banquets at Buckingham Palace etc. to a normal working visit a while ago. l don't expect the protests to be downgraded.

They won't; in fact the protests are actually going to be upgraded in a big way  ;D :https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/oct/12/britain-donald-trump-hatred-theresa-may-state-visit-protests

Word on the street also indicates that Labour MP's are once again pushing to outright cancel his visit in the wake of his tweets.

It might be one of those over 3000 website domain names owned by Trump himself...

Oh FFS....

Trump's response to Matt Lauer getting fired:

Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. Check out Andy Lack’s past!

I mean.....how much more can/will he get away with before he gets impeached?

Can't be soon enough for me....

I'm guessing he'll continue to get away with it for as long as American centrists continue to lend any sort of credibility to the GOP...

Today the Senate will cast the vote for their version of the tax cut bill: https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/11/28/us/politics/republican-tax-bill.html?referer=https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/11/28/us/politics/republicans-tax-bill-senate.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

I'm sorry to say that I can't watch this revolting vote move forward...

Something else that...I don't know if frustrates is the right word....but in the article you linked, I found something I'd heard on the news this morning.

Quote
Mr. Trump attacked ‘Chuck and Nancy,’ and then they pulled out of a White House meeting.

The two top Democrats, Senator Chuck Schumer of New York and Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, refused to attend a meeting with Mr. Trump and congressional leaders that was scheduled for the afternoon after the president posted on Twitter this morning that he was meeting with “Chuck and Nancy” to discuss ways to avert a government shutdown and wrote “I don’t see a deal!”

“Given that the President doesn’t see a deal between Democrats and the White House, we believe the best path forward is to continue negotiating with our Republican counterparts in Congress instead,” Mr. Schumer and Ms. Pelosi said in a statement. “Rather than going to the White House for a show meeting that won’t result in an agreement, we’ve asked Leader McConnell and Speaker Ryan to meet this afternoon. We don’t have any time to waste in addressing the issues that confront us, so we’re going to continue to negotiate with Republican leaders who may be interested in reaching a bipartisan agreement.”

(emphasis mine)

He got butthurt that Schumer and Pelosi refused to show up for an afternoon meeting with him to to try and work out some sort of deal, when he tweeted earlier in the morning that he didn't see them working out a deal.

And then Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had the nerve to call Schumer and Pelosi 'petty' for not showing up to the meeting.

Welcome, folks, to the last 20 hours of formal democracy in America!

In a 52-48 vote, the Senate version of the tax cut has now moved forward onto the floor for a final debate on the contents and the legislation of the bill thereof. Tomorrow they will make a vote to pass it through, consolidating the rule of Corporatism across the land, and thereby complete America's transformation into a right-wing hellhole.

All I have to say is that, once again, those who vote Republican are fucking idiots.
