Well, this is the roleplaying thread..I'll try to start ^^ Not that good at starting...
----
Loud music. A pet peeve of Mask's, he much preferred calming classical music. But the loud rock wasn't that bad, he admitted. Shifting the glasses he wore to hide his blindness, he listened contently.

Hiddenhart

(I didn't write a story...I figured leaving it rather open-ended allowed for a more open RP...if you want a story, tell me ^^)

The music pumped loudly and abusively through the speakers strategically positioned all about the stadium. Daria and Rivers moved along to the tunes belting out, glancing occasionally at one another with massive grins spread across their faces. They had waited for what seemed like forever for this gig and now it was here, they were getting their monies worth for sure. After sleeping rough with their sleeping bags out at the entrance since the following day, they had choice positions now near the front rail. Only problem was, Daria needed to move and fast. Bathroom breaks were crucial but annoying. She shouted her intentions to Rivers, who merely rolled his eyes at her before she began to push and shove her way through the throng.

It took her nearly ten minutes to get through and another ten minutes to find the port-a-potties, all lined up neatly but stinking like the dregs of hell within. She got in and out as fast as she possibly could before she gagged herself senseless then made her way back into the stadium. People jostled her as she moved through them but she could careless, still a fair distance from where Rivers was, Daria gave a low whistle as she spotted a black haired guy looking nothing but cool with his shades on. She had to approach, she would have been mad not too and Rivers wouldn't care. He'd have taken one look at the guy and hi-5'd her for her choice.
"Hey there!" she shouted over the music, biting her lower lip as she let her gaze travel up and down him, "enjoying yourself?"

[ooc - it's okay honestly, post anyway you want too Hart ;) ]

Hiddenhart

"Hm?" Mask could swear he had heard someone call out to him...but the loud music made it all the harder to hear if someone had. He moved away from the speaker near where he was just in time to hear her yell. He then took his cane and held it out; despite the close proximity of the people around him, he had no problem manuevering over to where he thought he had heard Daria. He ended up in front of her but facing the wrong way. "I...I guess I am." He sounded quiet, yet interested, "And yourself?" he askd her.

(ooc- Okay. Thank you ^^)

Kendra

Daria's mouth hung open when he turned, she saw the cane and bit her lip for a whole different reason. She had nothing against guys with disabilities she had dated one who had only half a brain once, though that was because he was a jerk and nothing more. So he was blind that didn't make him less cute in her opinion, she actually got a bit of a thrill musing over how effective his other senses must be. She couldn't resist grinning broadly when he turned the other way and with firm hands on his shoulders moved herself to face him.
"Not that you can see me" she muttered, shrugging as if putting herself in his line of vision had really helped, "having a blast."
Shouting over the music was just part of the process and one that didn't bother her at all, she liked that she had to move in closer to say it into his ear. The scent of him tantalising her nose and causing her to close her own eyes for a moment.

Hiddenhart

Mask nodded as he heard her answer and felt himself face her. "Good to hear! Waited forever for this." He smiled but the smile faded a bit when he partially heard what she had said before that. "She can tell that I'm blind...well, it's not a hidden secret so..." Mask smiled to himself as he listened to her. "I hope...that she isn't going to make fun of me for being blind." He could smell her, not in a weird way but because his sense of smell was (trying) to compensate for the lack of sight, as she leaned in and spoke. Then, smiling a bit, he tried to picture what she could look like. "So...I take it you love this band?"

Kendra

Daria felt a bit put out that the awesome outfit she had worn for the occasion was not getting its full attention with this guy but she was a sucker for cute guys like him and wasn't now tempted to walk away. Her skintight hipster brown leather pants had already gotten enough wolf whistles from guys as she had passed back and forth earlier and the body hugging red tank top with the band logo on it was perfect for showing off the huge cobra tattoo she had on her back that snaked down her right arm to the wrist. Her hair a homecut bob with a home dye of intense orange was a powerful sight to behold, she looked wicked hot and she knew it.
"Love them?" she grinned turning around to stand along side of him so she could continue looking at him, the scent of elderberrys subtle as she did so, "I'm going to name any kids I have after the band members."
Her laugh was as distinctive as she was, loud and raucous, completely infectious.
"How about you?" she asked looking at him steadily as she did so.

Hiddenhart

Mask couldn't help but smile, following the elderberry smell as he turned to face her. He ran a hand through his messy black hair; being blind did have some major disadvantages but it was somewhat of an excuse to not be too concrned about appearance. He judged from whistles he had heard earlier (and was hearing now) that she was quite hot and he felt somewhat happier to be talking to her. "Loved them since they first came out. Best band in the world." He tried to remain calm; he was normally incredibly shy around people. "Naming your kids after them, eh?" He laughed to himself at that one

Kendra

She stuck her tongue out as he made a jest at her wanting to name her kids after the members, perhaps that was a bit much considering one called himself 'The Reaper'. Maybe she'd call her first born son that one. The crowd moved against them and she used this as an excuse to put her arm about his waist, when quite frankly she never needed excuses.
"Steady there, the masses are vying for blood" she grinned, knowing that this particular tune always elicited strong reactions from the moshers in the audience.
"I'll protect you."

She wasn't trying to sound condescending, was actually trying for cute but when the guy couldn't see her adorable dimples it was highly unlikely he would take her at anything but thoughtless.
"So you go to all their gigs?" Daria saw a hand wave in the air and her name being called out before she also saw Rivers getting sucked back into the crowd again. A small giggle escaped her as she sidled up closer to the strange hottie, "what's your name by the way?"

Hiddenhart

Mask could sense the crowds moving a second before she said she would protect him. In response, he put the cane away; it would do no good here and could actually cause injury. He smiled in her direction, blushing in his cute, slightly-innocent way as he felt her place her arm around his waist. "Thank you for the protection, miss..." He took it as kindness as opposed to anything else. "So far, she hasn't insulted me. That's a good start." He thought.

"I go to all the gigs I can. Which is all of them...I assume you do as well?" He smiled as he heard the faintness of someone calling her name. "And my name...is Mask." He gave a half-hearted smile; his was an odd name, or so he thought. "And your name is, kind miss?"

Kendra

She felt a distinct excitement flare through her at being called 'miss' thinking him very chivalrous for doing so. Slightly old fashioned perhaps it was but it was also sexy as anything. Daria wondered at his name and figured it had to be just a nickname, who would seriously call their kid Mask but then again, the lists of celebrities naming their children anything from a flower to a planet these days was endless so it didn't surprise her what people called their offspring.
"Strange name" she told him standing a tad bit closer than necessary as she spoke directly in his ear, "why do they call you Mask?" Her body naturally brushed against his but compared to the many that pushed and shoved against them, this wasn't really that bad or that provocative either.
"Daria" her voice rose an octave as she said it, "my name is ...Daria!"

Hiddenhart

"I like that name...not a common one." Mask laughed softly to himself at the change in her voice. He felt her speak directly into his ear and his blush returned, stronger then before. "I'm not really sure why I was called Mask...my parents had named me it and it stuck..." He declined to tell her that the reason for the name was that he liked to mask/hide his emotions around strangers. Yet, around her, he found it easy to be himself. Feeling her body brush, he smiled softly. Mask listened for a minute, then nodded. "So, any reason your parents picked your name?"

Kendra

She laughed loudly when he asked about her own name, she had simply looked at him all agog when he had admitted that his parents had actually named him 'Mask'.
"I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you" she grinned before sighing and turning to speak into his ear again, this time she let her other hand hold onto his shoulder as if to steady herself. Daria was not exactly famous for being shy and retiring, she had always been pretty forward in her manner and now was no different.
"My parents were on a cruise sort of a last minute thing, to relax before I was due to arrive. I came early... while they were on the boat. The captain who helped deliver me was called Darya which means 'sea' so my mom thought it was perfect and changed it a little to Daria" she shrugged her shoulders again and though she should have given him his personal space back she didn't but stayed routed right there in front of him, unable to take her eyes from his face.

Hiddenhart

"Ah..." Mask was unable to answer for a second, surprised at her story. He then realized how close she was and blushed, smiling. "That makes for an interesting story..." He whispered back. He didn't know how he was this close to her without either panicking or retreating but he felt comfortable around her. He then hazarded a guess that she was looking at his face and for a second, he felt self-conscious and saddened. But then, he smiled and removed the glasses, revealing his calm brown eyes. "Do you like the view?" He teased her, meaning his face.

Kendra

She watched him move his hand to lift his glasses up only to look into sightless brown eyes. They were beautiful however and she couldn't help but gasp.
"Sweet mother" she softly whistled, then with a hint of laughter in her voice she smiled at him. Wondering for the briefest moment if he truly was blind because those eyes were simply breathtaking.
"I like the view very much" Daria bit her lower lip and thought hard for a moment before taking his glasses from his hand, "bear with me here okay."
The glasses she slipped into the front of his ti-shirt so he'd know where they were, but it was to his hands she moved. Picking them up gently and holding them to her face.
"This is how you do it isn't it? I mean ... to get a visual of me?" her voice for the first time in her life sounded unsure and considerate as she waited to feel his hands upon her face. She felt herself inhale in expectation and didn't think she'd be able to breathe properly again for a long time to come.

Hiddenhart

He sensed she liked his eyes and he smiled despite himself. His parents had told him he had beautiful eyes; he, however, in typical rebellion, had considered them ugly. Hearing that she liked the eyes made him happier then ever. "T-thank you..." He then felt a twinge of fear as his glasses were slipped into the front of his shirt; it was the first time in ages he had removed them for more then a few seconds. He then let her move his hands, trusting her entirely. When he felt her face, though, he jumped softly; he hadn't expected that. "Y-yes...I f-feel to see.." He whispered, very unsure as he slowly moved his hands over her face, avoiding her eyes and mouth and nose, not wanting to hurt her as he felt. He then pulled softly away. "You s-seem beautiful..."

Kendra

Daria felt his hands upon her face and wondered why he did not touch her nose or mouth or the eyes that she shut for the occasion. How could he visualise all of her if he didn't have the full picture? Disgruntled she shrugged when he said she 'seemed beautiful', wanting to kick the guy in the shins for a lousey effort. If he had touched her face properly then he might actually have put some confiction behind those words. She was beautiful and she knew it. Granted her hair colour was less than normal but seriously who cared? It wasn't like he could see the flaming orange hair anyhow! She moved away from him casting the odd disparaging look his way wishing he actually had the use of his eyes, it made flirting so much easier somehow and then with a resigned sigh Daria simply stood before him again.

"You ... did ... not ... look ... properly" she told him as again she cupped his hands and placed them on her face herself, leaving her hands on the fingers to guide them over her closed eyelids and long eyelashes, her own which she was very proud of. The amount of money other girls she knew spent on falsies was ridiculous. Over her slender unbumped nose to the full rose petal mouth beneath, covering her high cheek bones and oval face right down to her chin.
"Now tell me I seem beautiful" she sounded afronted but highly indignant about the matter and for the briefest of minutes was glad he couldn't see her standing in the maddening throng of people with hands on her hips, tapping her foot impatiently while trying to impress the blind guy with her goodlooks.

Hiddenhart

Mask didn't see her look but felt it and he shifted away for a second before she took his hands. "S-sorry...d-didn't know if you'd l-let me do so." He then felt her eyes, her nose, her mouth, her chin. He was nearly blown away...she was gorgeous, or so he thought. "If I said beautiful...that woulld be an understatment...goddess-like...would be more correct." He looked away, a deep blush on his face.

Kendra

Now she grinned satisfied completely with this answer as she let his hands go.
"Sorry about that, I get a bit temperamental" she told him over the noise again roaring from the stage, "do you want to go get something to drink?"
She felt demented shouting at him but what else could she do when the music roared about her.
Sliding her hand into his she waited for him again, wondering not for the first time why she felt compelled to persue Mask, when there were obviously so many other great looking guys about.

Hiddenhart

"It's okay..." He answered, smiling as he managed to hear her. "A drink would be nice." He nodded. He had no clue of why he was still with her; she seemed the complete opposite of him, but in a good way. "Lead the way." He readied his cane again as he took her hand. He had no clue of why her focus was on him and not, perhaps, on someone who wasn't blind or was better looking. But he'd enjoy this while it lasted.

Kendra

She watched him take his cane back out again but looked about her and seeing the hoard of people before them knew it would do him no good here. Shrugging she turned back to him and completely out of character for the feisty young woman she pressed close to him and gently removed his cane from his hand as she spoke in his ear.
"That won't do any good getting through this lot," her hand in his she squeezed it gently, "just don't let go okay, trust me."
Knowing that she was probably asking a lot of him, she turned to begin the push through the crowd ignoring again the jostling people dancing like frantic animals but kept Mask as close to her as feasibly possible as she made her way through them. It took about twenty minutes to the early ten she had made by herself but for some bizarre reason she didn't care. When at last she was able to break through the crowd she turned to face him with a huge smile on her face.
"We made it!" enthusiastically she hugged him as if they had just made their way through the Gobi desert.

Hiddenhart

"Ah!" Mask felt naked, strangely, without his cane as he felt her remove it. Yet, like he had before, he trusted her entirely and he allowd her to lead on. "I trust you..." He said, more to himself then her, as he let her lead him through the crowd. he did his best to stick with her, feeling people bump into them and feeling awkward. After what felt like an eternity, he sensed they were free...

"You made it. I merely followed." He smiled, blushing as she hugged him and hesitantly hugging back.

Kendra

She grinned again but shook her head.
"We made it" she told him, "It wasn't like a walk in the park for you was it?"
Unfolding the cane she placed it in his free hand while keeping her other firmly in his, there was no way she was letting him go and if she had to use the excuse of guiding him along then she would use it shamelessly. The open bar was only 100 yards or so away so it was no trouble but after the way he had held her she was in no rush to move away.
"Mask .. you said you trusted me didn't you?" she didn't wait for an answer however but moved in the small distance between them and touched his lips with hers. The gentle brush felt like an electrical current racing through her and suddenly she didn't want the kiss to stop.

Hiddenhart

"True...much as I hate to admit it...not easy." He panted out, smiling in her direction. He felt the cane in his hand and felt as if he had rediscovered a body part. He held tight to her hand nonetheless....he wanted to be with her. "I said I did trust you...entirely...don't k-!" He was cut off by her sudden kiss. So taken aback, he almost forgot to kiss back but...kiss back he did. "This must be love." He thought. "I can't explain it otherwise." He smiled to himself as he kissed.

Kendra

His mouth moved against her own and Daria sighed leaning closer into the kiss. It was blissful, beautiful and she could happily have continued to kiss Mask but for the tap on her shoulder and the familiar voice asking her where she had been. Reluctantly breaking from the kiss she turned to see Rivers standing there looking as devastating as he always did and sheepishly she smiled at him.
"Hi, I got sidetracked" she told him with a grin, moving a little aside to reveal Mask, "Rivers this is Mask, Mask this is my best friend... Rivers."

She wasn't going to wait around to see the fireworks in case Rivers got angry with her but patted him on the arm and told him to get the drinks in and to take care of Mask while she was gone. With a swift peck to the blind boys cheek she reassured him that she would be back, nature was calling again it would seem.

Hiddenhart

Mask sighed as the kiss ended but he sensed a friend of hers and retreated a bit. "H-hello, Rivers.." He said softly, hesitantly hoolding a hand in Rivers' direction. He felt that he could trust her to come back, so he stayed by Rivers. He tried to sense how Rivers felt but couldn't read him. A sense of unease filled Mask as he waited for her to return.

Kendra

#26

Rivers had waited as patiently as he could for her to return, the band were awesome of course but he would have preferred to enjoy it with Daria. After enough time had passed, he grew worried and decided to relinquish their awesome position near the front railing and go in search of her. Once he thought he had seen her but he got jostled so badly by the crowd. After waiting for that particular song to finish he went on in search of her again only to find her snogging the face off of a complete stranger, albeit an extremely cute one by the time he did find her.

He watched her walk off to the bathroom and turned to look at the guy she had called Mask. He held out his hand to him deciding it best to start off at least on the right foot. Damn, he mused but that girl had excellent taste.
"Mask is it?" he asked again to make sure, "Rivers...enjoying the gig so far?"

Hiddenhart

"Y-yes, enjoying it quite a bit." Mask said, feeling around for and taking Rivers hand. He shook it and smiled a bit. "The band is g-great and your friend is n-nice..." He then regretted saying that and fell silent. He sensed discomfort and annoyance of some kind from Rivers. Even though he knew it was technically his fault (though how that was, he had no clue at all) and he knew Rivers had every right to seem bothered, Mask was still nervous about it. He tried to remain nonchalant on the outside but inside, he was shaking.

Kendra

He leaned back against the bar rail and ordered two drinks for himself and Daria before looking at Mask, something seemed off about him but he couldn't put his finger on it. His eyes seriously didn't seem to even notice him.
"Did you want a drink, my treat?" he questioned turning to look at the guy and wishing for once he had Daria's goodluck.
"So how  did you meet Daria?" he seriously had to know this one, had she literally just run into a complete stranger or did they know one another before now. Surely he'd know if they had though.

Hiddenhart

"A drink would be nice..." Mask smiled a bit but then felt self-conscious again. "He doesn't know I'm blind..." He thought, wondering if his eyes gave it away. He sighed a bit. "We just ran into each other...or rather, she ran into me." He smiled a bit wider, feelign happy to have met her. But the same suspicious feelings about Rivers plagued him and he didn't feel as comfortable as he normally would be....

Kendra

Rivers sighed, it sounded pretty much like something Daria would do, pick up a guy in a concert but he marveled that she had not simply snogged and snook off as well. He glanced back at Mask again after ordering some beers and passed one over, watching him very carefully. The guy was beautiful there was no denying that but Rivers had been of the impression that this evening was theirs alone to enjoy, so he felt slightly disgruntled that she had chosen to pick up and keep a hanger on.
"I see" was all he said on the matter before taking a sip of his drink and placing it down, "you usually pick up stray girls?"

Hiddenhart

(Like your avatar ^^*)

Hearing the sigh, Mask sighed himself. He sense annoyance as usual and he felt awkward. "No. I don't usually pick up stray girls." He smiled a bit but this one faded far quicker then his other smiles had. He realized that Rivers had probably wanted to be alone with Daria and he began to feel like Rivers was hinting at something. "Thank you for the beer..." He said, more for the reason of filling the empty space then anything else.

Kendra

Rivers sighed not sure why he was choosing to dislike this guy from the get-go, perhaps it was simply that he found him as delicious as Daria did and he was merely put out that he had not found him first.
"You're welcome" he smiled, always willing to be gracious. Taking a drink from his own glass he rubbed his head, the volume from the front had been glaringly loud and he knew his ears would be popping before the night was out while a deep ringing would echo about his head. Others were now filing back to the bar area which meant the supporting act were back on stage again.
"We best move from the bar or it'll be crowded in a few" he shrugged taking his glass and moving off across the room, expecting Mask to simply follow him.

[ooc: thank you ;) ]

Hiddenhart

"Hm...okay." Mask heard footsteps, lots of them, heading his  way. He then heard Rivers move away. He grabbed his cane, expecting Rivers to help like Daria had but he hadn't. Not miffed, Mask took the cane and tried following...but was soon buried in a crowd of people and seperated. He managed not to be washed away, so to speak, but he was far from comfortable. Alone and seperated, he sighed and tried again...

Kendra

It was of course only when Rivers had stood by the high rounded table, taken a sip from his own drink and wondered what was keeping Mask did he turn to see the him being crowded by those entering the  bar. It had not been all he had seen however and knowing it was possibly stupid to just leave perfectly good drinks alone at a table, he went through the still light crowd of people until he found him. With his hand on Mask's covering the cane he sighed, he seriously should have known something was up. Daria was always one for her strays and the underdog.
"Come on, I have you now. Just follow me" Rivers turned once again and began to walk slower this time back to the table, "I didn't realise."
He said in way of explanation hoping this covered a multitude of his other transgressions as well.

Hiddenhart

Mask had continued to remain lost until Rivers took his hand. He nodded and let Rivers lead him to the table. "Very few realize." He knew Rivers was coming back for the drinks as well and it bothered him. But, he somehow stayed under control as he sipped his own. He missed Daria a bit but kept it to himself. "Thank you for your help..."

Kendra

By the time they reached the table again, Rivers actually sighed with relief. The drinks were still there and turning his gaze around saw Daria walking towards them with a huge smile on her face. He frowned at her however but held his tongue. What was she thinking picking up a blind guy at a concert for crying out loud? His hand wrapped around the warm glass and he gulped back half of the beer still refusing to say anything.

Daria had gone as fast as she could to the public toilets, the queue this time had been larger than before and the mess within had left her stomach feeling decidedly nauseous. Gone for longer than she would have liked, she was glad at least that the boys were still together on her return. As she came to stand between them her arm automatically went around Mask's waist and her mouth gently brushed his ear.
"I'm back" she told him, her forehead resting against the side of his head a moment before she turned to smile at Rivers. She recognised the look immediately and wanted to tell him to get off of his high horse, that this was different. Mask was different but she didn't know how to explain it and this certainly wasn't the place to try.
"The queue was outrageous, sorry you had to wait" she grinned instead, "thanks for getting the drinks in ... been getting to know one another?"

Hiddenhart

"..." By now, Mask had confirmed in his mind that Rivers didn't like him very much. The sound of gulping beer confirmed it. He then heard Daria return and a smile crossed his face. His suspicions were confirmed by her hand on his waist and her whispering that she was back. "Welcome back..." He allowed himself to smile as he sensed somthing was off between her and Rivers. "We were fine with waiting, right Rivers?" He asked gently. "And yes, we've been catching up..."

Kendra

Rivers merely humphed a reply to which he got a glare shot at him by Daria. She couldn't believe he was behaving so childlike, they were friends with perks sure but they had never been possessive about one another ever so this behaviour she could not understand at all. Choosing to ignore it she turned her attention to Mask who was genuinely at least trying to make an effort. She kissed his cheek and smiled.
"You're incredibly sweet you know that?" her eyes took in the crows milling about them and sighed. A swift glance to her watch told her the gig was only halfway through and yet she was suddenly not keen on sticking around for the rest of it. Picking up her beer she sipped at it, glancing at Rivers and wondering what he would think if she suggested they leave early. Another glance at Mask as she wondered the same of him before Daria decided to simply ask.
"Anyone fancy calling it a day here?" she shrugged lightly as if it wasn't a big deal or anything.

Rivers glowered at her, "Well I'm staying! Do you not remember the trouble we went to just to get our tickets? Or sleeping rough last night just to get that perfect spot which I may add is now gone... " He was understandably annoyed with her but still she smiled at him convinced this act alone would win him over.

Hiddenhart

Thank you..." Mask smiled as he heard Daria, but then he heard Rivers and lost confidence. "....I get the feeling I'm not wanted here.." Mask muttered. "....I should let you two be...since I seem to be intruding." Mask then faced Rivers, though he couldn't see. "Want the perfect spot you mentioned? Watch." He then sighed, sadness filling him as he grabbed his cane and made his way back to Rivers' perfect spot. He then whacked from side to side till the crowd grudgingly moved.

She had no time to say or do anything it seemed as whatever had transpired between both guys in her absence overflowed into Mask feeling he had to leave them be. Watching him walk away she turned on Rivers immediately.
"Are you happy now?" she asked pushing her glass back onto the table, "I like him, okay. I just do and ... if you're not happy about that, then tough Rivers. I know ...okay, I know how long we've waited for today but ... this just happened and I can't explain it. I really like him."

Rivers frowned instantly as Mask went away, that had not been his intention at all. He was seriously getting everything wrong here and he knew exactly why. Daria's declaration of her feelings towards the guy were made clear and he felt more uncomfortable than ever.
"It's not that ... I am .. sort of happy for you" he hung his head in mortified silence for a moment, "I think I'm jealous is all. Not of him with you but ... of you with him. He's lovely."
Shrugging his own shoulders as he pushed his hands into his pockets he waited for her to explode on him but it never happened. Instead she flung her arms about him and chuckled lightly.

"We always did have similar taste" she winked releasing him and standing back a little, "So what happens ... I don't want to leave him. I want to be with him, Rivers... but our friendship means the world to me, you know that. If you tell me to back off of Mask then I will." She waited for his verdict knowing in her heart exactly what he was going to say before he even said it. She watched him shake his head and give a little sigh. His right hand coming up to brush some of her hair back from her face.

"Go get him... I'll be fine" he glanced about the room, "seriously I will, look at all the hot guys in here."

Daria grinned but knew she couldn't leave him just like that, she grabbed his hand and attempted a gentle tug.
"You don't have to be on your own, come with me. He'll understand. I'll explain everything" she smiled though the widening of Rivers eyes told her he was not happy with that scenario at all. He shook his head vigorously.

"No Daria, that would be seriously awkward. Just go ... I mean it, go before I change my mind" he turned her around and pushed her towards the exit, watching as she turned to face him, gave him a small wave before disappearing into the throng of people listening to the supporting act.

Jostled and pushed this way and that she felt as if it was forever before she finally saw him. An elbow into her shoulder and a tug of her hair as she continued to make her way forward, casting disparaging looks at the offenders before at last she was beside him again.
"Mask" she was breathing heavily from her exertion through the crowd. She couldn't believe the rush of emotion that overcame her on seeing him again and sliding her hands about his neck pressed herself closer to him as she hugged him.

Hiddenhart

Before Daria had gotten to him, Mask had cleared a tiny spot. Of course, whacking people with a cane drew all kinds of angry glares but not seeing them made them easier to bear. What made it harder was the fact that he was now, alone, and he felt Daria was out of his reach. "What did I do, Rivers, to hurt you? Why did fate choose me as a punching bag?" He said softly.

Then he felt Daria hug him and he felt happiness return. But he still felt awkward; what if Rivers still liked her? He smiled in her direction, though. "Hello again..."

Kendra

She debated a moment whether to break it to him about why her best friend had behave the way he had but decided for now against it. The supporting act were now leaving the stage to roars of applause from the crowd but she didn't bother. Too busy holding on to Mask she moved herself slightly so she could gaze at him. He still had his glasses off and she smiled.
"Would you like me to put these back on?" she asked tapping them gently against his chest, "I'm sorry about all of that back there, really I am. He's not like that usually..."

Hiddenhart

"it's okay..." Mask sounded a bit saddened but very happy to be by Daria. "No...I will go without the glasses, since you seem to like me without them." He replied, listening to the supporting act leaving. "Did I do something wrong?" He asked curiously as he helf onto her gently, never wanting to let go but knowing he had to.

Kendra

The audience now seemed content to chatter amongst themselves while music by the main act piped through the speakers, keeping them all warmed up for when they appeared again. She could  hear the change in his voice and sighed, sometimes she could happily kill Rivers but she did love him to bits and of course she understood exactly why he had behaved that way.
"I don't mind either way, don't do something just to please me" she smiled at him, then shaking her head slowly as she gazed at him, "You did nothing wrong, nothing other than be your gorgeous wonderful self."

Daria knew she'd have to say something now, there really wasn't any point in keeping it hidden and somehow she figured it might bridge a gap between the two boys. Providing of course that Mask didn't become upset or offended that Rivers could fancy him. Tracing a finger tip along his jawline she watched the journey it made.
"Rivers likes you. He's jealous, that's what it was all about."

Hiddenhart

"Gorgeous wonderful self..." Mask smiled at that; fires tim anyone had ever called him that. He hid his grin adn hugged her again. He still didn't put the glasses on, though. He didn't want to give another obvious sign (as if the cane was not enough) that he was blind, both for her and selfishly for himself. He blushed as he felt her trace his jawline and heard what she said next. "He likes me? As in like-like me?" Mask wasn't upset; just curious.

Kendra

Her mouth gently brushed against his own before nodding her head.
"Yes," she assured him licking her lips as the very taste of him excited every nerve end within her, "He like-likes you."
Her hands slid around his waist slowly reaching down to rest within the band of his jeans. Fingers barely touching the curve of his backside but knowing it was temptingly close she stroked her fingers back and forth. A soft sigh escaped her as she pressed herself closer.

"Are you interested?" she grinned, it certainly wouldn't have been the first time a guy she fell for had taken a shine to Rivers. Their taste in guys was so similar that both of them often fell for the same person but they never left that stand in the way of their own friendship. Her teeth nipped his lower lip gently before her mouth sought his again and delving her tongue within the crevice of his mouth savoured the moist warmth within.

The feel of her mouth brushing his made his heart race. And her taste made him smile more; he had missed it, even for the short time he had been alone. But the statement she made had him apprehensive; he trusted her to tell the truth but the way Rivers had acted made him wonder if that was true. He was jolted from his slightly melancholy state by her raching down and stroking her fingers within his jeans, pressing closer; he instinctively responded by putting his arms around her.

"Am I interested? I don't know..." He replied, smiling. "I do know I am more interested in you then him....but then again, I only remember the angry or annoyed Rivers..." He felt her teeth on his lower lip as he finished answering, opening his mouth willingly and feeling her tongue entering his now-open mouth. He playfully, shockingly for him, pinned her tongue for a second before releasing it, face blushing

The audience about them gave a massive roar again indicating the emergence of the main act and Daria knew she had better tear herself away from him before she did something exceptionally stupid. A slight moan escaped her as she tore her mouth away, relishing how he had held her tongue. The sensation had made her only want to press closer to him, but the jostling crowd though helping with that part, hindered her more radical behaviour. She was many things but an exhibitionist.

"He's not always angry and he's seldom annoyed" she told him as the music began to kick in again, "I'm glad I interest you more... but just to let you know" she was now shouting over the loud music, "I've lost guys before to him and vice versa."
She moved behind him this time, sliding her hand along his shoulders as she did so, then snuggling up close from behind let her arms wrap themselves about his waist. He was adorable when he blushed and she had little mind on the concert now but more so on time alone with Mask.

Hiddenhart

Mask simply smiled as she pulled away. He knew the crowds were to blame and he chuckled softly; he never had enjoyed crowds before. "I see...sorry for judging him..." In response to her second statement, he laughed louder. "I don't think you'll be losing me. I don't intend to, anyway." He then became confused as she moved...but then felt her hand on his shoulders and relaxed. He sighed blushing as she snuggled close from behind. He could guess at her thoughts and he smiled, for he felt the same.

Kendra

Though the rest of the audience thrashed about like absolute devils at a virgin market, she stayed behind Mask holding him close to her. She could not understand the feelings he wrought within her, could not comprehend now being without him and was content to stay holding him for however long he wanted her too.
"I think maybe we should get out of here... I want to be alone with you" she shouted over the music, receiving knowing winks from those close by. Glaring at them she wondered if Mask too would think the same sordid thoughts as they had, so clarified just incase.
"We could talk a lot easier for sure."

Hiddenhart

Mask was happy to have her with him; he felt safer wiith her. "Okay, there's some quiet places nearby..." He then turned and felt for her ear, gently, before leaning in and whispering. "Don't worry, I'm not a pervert. I understand." He then realized something. "But....what about Rivers? Are you going to tell him?" He blinked, torn between happiness and concern for her friend.

Kendra

Daria smiled and took hold of his hand in her own as she turned to face the throbbing crowd again. Squeezing his hand gently when he spoke in her ear she chuckled lightly at his pervert comment. Sometimes she thought it was as if he could read her mind.
"Rivers has gone to find his own amusement for the evening, he'll understand. He let me come back here to you didn't he?" like Rivers really had much of an option there she mused to herself, "no doubt he'll phone me later tonight wanting all the details ... mainly yours of course."
Another smile his way though it was lost on him completely, she tugged his hand gently then and slowly began to wade their way through the throng.

Hiddenhart

"I see....that is true." Mask smiled as he heard her explain heself. He blushed, though, when he heard about the phoning for details. "Okay...w-where to?" He held her hand tightly as she led him through the crowds. He felt like a drowning man, clinging to a life preserver...but he didn't mind, long as it was Daria. "T-thank you for b-being with me..." He sounded mostly happy, a tinge sad as he said that.

Kendra

She shook her head telling him that there was no need to thank her, she was more than happy with how her evening had turned out. It took almost twenty minutes to push themselves through the throng of people and make their way out to where the merchandise was for sale. Daria had bought her ti-shirt earlier, as had Rivers a tradition for every gig they went too. They never wore them but pinned them within frames and hung them on the walls of their flat.
"Well... we could go for that walk if you like" she asked him as they slowly made their way out of the stadium. Standing on the pavement she turned to face him, her free hand gently letting her palm rest against his cheek.
"unless you had something else in mind?"

Hiddenhart

"A walk would be nice...I think there's a park nearby where we can go as well." Mask smiled. He was relieved to be free of the crowds and the noise, as his head re-adjusted. He then felt her palm on his cheek and blushed, enjoying her touch. "I hear they have some nice places to sit and talk there." He laughed softly and then took his cane and put it away...a sign he trusted Daria entirely.

Kendra

They walked hand in hand to the park nearby, Daria noticing how he folded his cane away letting her hand in his guide him along the way. When they came to the edge of a footpath she whispered the word 'down' and 'up' when the had to step onto another one. The park seemed empty and with night closing in it also seemed such a romantic place to walk. She spotted a bench surrounded by a semi-circle of trees and guided Mask towards it. Sitting down she nestled into his arms, smiling softly to herself.
"This is nice" she whispered, still able to hear the music from the stadium. Turning to face him she let her hand reach up and tilt his face to face hers. Gently she kissed him, her mouth moving in slow sensuous motions across his own.

Hiddenhart

Mask allowed his mind to relax as Daria led him along. Even though he knew the paths by heart, having spent a lot of time here, he felt safer with Daria and appreciated her telling him when to step up and down. The cool air was a relief after the heat of the concert and he wiped his forehead softly. Upon reaching the bench, he managed to sit down without incident; he was surprised, however, when she nestled into his arms. He held her gently but protectively, smiling in what he hoped was her direction...and a kiss from her confirmed it. He kissed back, the hesitant and yet somewhat passionate kiss that he knew how to do. "Indeed, it is nice here...I spend a lot of time here.."

Kendra

His mouth felt perfect on her own and she sighed into the kiss, delighting in the feel of his mouth and the passion with how he returned it. As he broke from her mouth and spoke she sighed once again, this was nice but she wasn't used to nice. Daria was too free spirited, too wild and outgoing and Mask seemed an unlikely choice for her no matter how handsome she considered him to be or how wonderful the last few hours with him were. She bit her lip gazing at him, seeing him through Rivers eyes and seeing a perfect match for her wayward best friend but she had found him first. Had taken possession practically of him before Rivers could lay any sort of claim to him and as it stood Mask did not seem to like Rivers in that regard.

Leaning her head on his shoulder she gazed out across the park and wondered what it must be like for him not to see anything at all. Closing her eyes she knew it was not the same and slowly opened them again.
"Have you been blind all your life Mask?" she asked.
