Beacon's Hidden Fantasy (M seeking F)

I am currently engaged in many stories, and I love all of them... But there's one thing that I haven't found yet, something that I have really been looking for. It's rather a complicated storyline, and also requires a very special kind of partner to play, because of my particular quirks.

I really want to do a roleplay set in the universe of Anne Bishop's "Black Jewel" books. If you are unfamiliar with the series, it is a very rich fantasy setting in which, culturally, women are the dominant gender. Whether they rule through the bonds of love and loyalty, or whether they rule through the harshness of cruelty, they are the unquestioned, UNQUESTIONABLE rulers of their world. Service is not enforced in men; it is instinctual, as much a part of them as hunger, or lust, or the need for sleep.

I am normally a very dominant man, but I have recently read the series at the suggestion of the friend who first introduced me to this site, and I was intrigued by the way the world, the politics, the culture, and the characters meshed. I am thinking of either simply taking character roles already extant in the books (the two which come most readily to mind are Daemon x Jaenelle, and Lucivar x Prythian), or creating unique characters and playing with me as a male serving in the court of a Territory or Province Queen.

Even if you aren't familiar with the series, if you like fantasy and think you can play a dominant role (even if it's very different from the traditional), I would love to hear from you. To those of you who read this far, thanks for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon. :)

I'm familiar with the Black Jewels trilogy - what sort of plot are you looking for?

Well, like I said, either hijacking characters who already existed elsewhere in the books and playing out new storylines with them, or perhaps creating new ones (Lots of leeway, there... including race choices. I am particularly fond of the idea of playing an Eyrien, myself... Probably one that had one of the other races in his bloodline, like the Dhemlan or the Hayllians). As to plot, that would depend on whether we went with stolen characters (in which case, swipe a plot and put our own twist on it), or made up new characters (would depend on many factors, including what kind of Queen you were, what my position within your court was, etc.)
