Evening ladies and gents, I've been mulling over some ideas for a DH game and am looking to see who's interested.

The basic premise is that the characters would be deployed to locate and eliminate an inquisitorial agent who has gone rogue. It would be set within a hive city and the players would know that the target is in there somewhere but little else about her. All the local resources (Arbites, local law enforcment, etc) would be at your disposal but I'll leave it to the players to decide if they want to storm in waving badges or try and take it a little more subtly. I'm not anticipating a ton of combat or sexytimes related stuff, but this is Dark Heresy and E, people will be shot at and if someone decides that they think the target is hiding in a strip club no one is going to stop you looking there.

Ideally I'd like a group of 4-6 players capable of posting at least once or twice a week as needed to keep the game moving at a decent pace and post at least a couple of decent paragraphs at a time (I understand sometimes you need to make a post where literally all you do is nod and agree with someone or shoot at the same target again but outside of that longer, more descriptive posts are appreciated).



One last thing, I was thinking I would limit characters and equipment to say rank 3 Acolytes from the core book only but if people are interested the Beta of 2.0 is floating around the net and I'd be up for trying that.

Dark Heresy is the game I always wanted a good group for (admittedly, I always hoped for a tabletop group) that I never got around to enjoy. If it can happen on the internet, I'll take it. Posting once or twice a week suits me too. Usually I'd lean towards Guardsman or Assassin, but I just might lean towards Psyker.

A balanced group would be nice instead of ending up with 3 assassins and a psyker or something so I'm inclined to say try and try and keep it to 1 per class (other than guardsman and arbites, nothing wrong with doubling up on them) and first come first serve. I'm flexible though so for now we'll just see what happens.

That's fine, I'll probably actually just go with a Guardsman. 



Though, JohnTheGreat, assuming I am accepted and you aren't running the beta version, would you be opposed to me making a character randomly?  (random world, random career, etc.  Using the dice bot here)

Lets remove the class restrictions for everything but Psyker (I've had problems with them in the past).

Sororitas I'll tentatively allow but reseve the right to restict starting equipment, I'll have to look into it when I get home.

It'll be a while before I do get to check, but from memory they get light power armour and maybe some kind of bolter from the get go. That I think does not suit low ranked acolytes at all.

One of the people in my rp group im GMing is playing a sororitas......OP is an understatement. BUT They aren't allowed money. And they are only allowed two weapons (more if they can prove that they are using them consistently), and their equipment is requestioned from the echlesiarchy.

I mean, you can give them the kickass gear but they don't actually own anything.  So make the wrong person angry and suddenly no more toys.  So you can tie a lot of strings to the gear.

If you strip away the OP gear and replace it with more standard stuff do they still have unique skills and faith powers or are they just female guardsmen?

The one in the inquisitors handbook is toned down but still has a wandering sororitas vibe. Can have money and no power armour.

They probably get faith stuff by level 3...I don't have my book on hand to verify.  So they are a little different from Guardsmen.

Working on Devi now.  She's an acrobatic/melee type assassin, a young woman from dusk wiht fair skin, long black hair and purple eyes.  She has a crush on either our inquisitor or one of his higher up acolytes, whichever works better for John.

Extra month of money sounds like a good idea, as for your characters crush your handler will be a senior acolyte who is a former arbite. He'll be you only contact with the higher ups and was handsome once but since you've known him half his face is a mess of burn scars.

Quick clarification.  You said we had 500 EXP and are rank 2. 

A starting character has 400 EXP to customize.  Does that mean we have 400+500=900?  Or 400 +100 = 500?
