There was a prophecy long ago, longer now than it seems, there would be a dovahkiin born under a solar eclipse blessed by Akatosh himself. This prophecy recorded by the Akaviri though often ignored because of the damage the wall had sustained.

One shall be born when the moon takes the suns place in the sky and yet no stars in the sky shine. This one will receive the blessings of Akatosh. The breath they hold changing the world. None will be like the blessed. Time will bend to the blessed like fabric to twist.

This dovahkiin would be the greatest fighter that Skyrim has ever seen with apt natural abilities unlike previous dovahkiin. They would be able to bend the very fabric of time itself, or so the prophecy says. With Alduin slain and dragons having returned to Skyrim, it has become more natural for those of Skyrim to not only see dragons but some even have made peace with a few thanks to a now long deceased dovahkiin.

The world did not know what this prophecy meant until the solar eclipse moved through the sky. A baby boy was born to the Jarl of the Pale, Jarl Gilfried the Wise and his wife Wilhelmina, often rumored to be a very powerful wizard. The whispers of the forgotten prophecy began. Surely this was the one meant to rule over all of Skyrim, to unite it on a whole as Jarl Ulfric had not been able to a century ago.
A part of the prophecy that had never been heard before had been discovered when the boy turned 20. Written in a dusty tome within Blackreach. The validity of it many questioned.

One shall be born when moon darkens but is whole within the sky. They shall receive the blessings of This part of the prophecy was far too smudged and faded to be read properly. They shall bring the return of Alduin. Only one shall live. 

Every child born under the lunar eclipse was taken before the Jarl of the Pale. Whatever happened to them after that no one new as the lunar eclipse only happened every few years. The Jarl's son grew strong, powerful, and learned the ways of the dovah. If one di challenge hm he was sure to win the battle with dragons on his side.
