Anyone know how to take a screen shot with windows7?

Autumn Sativus

You should have a "print screen" button somewhere on your keyboard.

Press the button, then paste into paint or whatever image editing program you like to use. Crop (if you need to) and Save. ;D

The other way (a Win7 exclusive) is something called the Snipping Tool.  More info here.

Thanks Saff that did it! The prt scrn was on the 'end' button and I had to press a button on my laptop to switch from end to prt screen. Then ctrl v in paint.

Thanks for the tip Oniya Ill take a look at that. :)

Laptop keyboards can be fun that way sometimes. xD Press "alt" for this function, press "fn" for this one, press "shift" for that one. ::)

Glad you found it.

Yep for mine it was FN...

I thought you had to hit ctrl+prtsc.

You only have to hit the one?

Kurzyk

Usually yes, but for my laptop it's FN+prt sc.
