Haunted Apartment Building (ghosts only)

The Setting:

Snow has been forecast, but as usual it isn’t accurate. The half-inch that they announced was far under what is really going to happen. By dinner time, there’s about a foot of snow in the streets, and the blizzard doesn’t seem to be clearing out. The city isn’t prepared for such a heavy snowfall, advises his citizen to stay in their home. During the evening, the electricity fails.

The Building:

The building is old, and on campus there are rumors that is it haunted. Nothing was ever proven, but many witnesses saw a woman in the kitchen of the different units, there are sounds of someone's heavy steps in the stairs but there's no one there and some people reported hearing children play in the halls. While the building itself isn't new by any stretch, nothing horrific has happened there. Rumors, of course, are filling in; the building was built after a fire took a house where lived a man, his wife and their four children.

The rent is cheap, but the comfort and privacy is taking a hit. Hot water is long to come, some windows are leaking, or letting the cold air in... The rooms are small, the walls don't stop much in terms of sounds. The vents carrying warm air from the furnace also carry sounds quite well. There are two apartments per floor, joined by their bedroom and bathroom wall. The door out opens on a common, enclosed hall (no need to brave the snow to go to the neighbor's).

There are 8 apartments. Apartment 1 and 2 are on street level, 3 and 4 are on the first story, etc.

• Keep a good grammar and spelling. I am no nazi, english isn't even my main language. I want to understand without having to dissect the post.
• At least one paragraph per post (5-6 sentences minimum).

Personality: She’s reliable, calm and laid back. She enjoys a laugh and likes to tease people. The more they blush, the better, but she’s not mean. She’ll avoid conflicts, may walk away and try to solve it later when everyone has had time to cool down. She’s not a pushover, though. She doesn’t believe in ghost stories, doesn’t believe in heaven and hell and everything in between. To her, when someone dies it’s over.
Sexuality: Straight but curious, just never had the courage to act upon the latter.
Sexual Quirks: Vanilla, she’d be okay with light bondage.



Other notes: She’s lived a pretty normal life, between divorced parents. School was also rather normal with a nice circle of friends that wasn’t overly large. Jade discovered her passion for languages early on and her easiness to learn them as well. After learning Spanish in high school, she went to college to learn French, in hopes to become either an interpreter or a translator. She’s never been in any serious relationship, even if she doesn’t really have commitment issues. Jade just believes that she has yet to meet the right guy.  Working at the coffee shop is something she mildly enjoys.

Appearance: Jack as a decent enough body build, kept on the leaner side but two days a week at the gym and lifting heavy things at work. Allows his facial hair grow a bit, forming a short beard, barely more then thick five-o'clock shadow. His face is a little on the narrow side of things, with a slightly hooked nose but bright eyes, which draw attention away from his weaker features.

Personality: Quiet and rather a loner, he can easily slip into a social situation but would really rather stay in and read a book or take time to paint his miniatures. Other notes: Sophia grew up as an only child in a fairly wealthy family with both parents in the medical field, and they expected her to do the same. It's not what she always wanted to do, but not wanting to disappoint them, she took up pre-med. Her parents pay for her school, but she pays for everything else, hence the apartment.

This isn't a requirement, as Drake will go for any slim girl who likes to party and doesn't mind his cigarette smoke. He makes good money, and he's still sane. Despite self-loathing, his disruptive behaviour, and his addictions (weed, tobacco, alcohol, sex, pain, etc.) Drake is incredibly exciting to be around, he's attractive, and he knows it, and remarkably interesting to learn from. He knows toooo much about physics. His record collection is large. he breaks the smoking rule at the apartment constantly. He doesn't work far away. He doesn't have cable, and he doesn't have a cell phone. Drake is a bit of a nostalgic work. He likes the way old things feel. I won't go into any more now. That's for the game itself :)
