Of course. Well, I have thought about a few, alas not too many as Vaas was the first that piqued my interest. Given a little time, I would round up a few more.

As it stands; Varian Wrynn, Grommash (Grom) Hellscream, Vol'Jin of the Darkspear from World of Warcraft/WC3. Edward Kenway from AC: Black Flag. Steve from Tekken 6.

Characters only briefly touched, but of some interest to me.

Laughing Hyena

Big warcraft fan eh? Well I can definitely relate there. Have you done your homework with the whole situation concerning WoW? Arthas has already been killed off by the team as a heads up.

Diingo

I am indeed a warcraft fan :) And sadly, I have not done my homework on the WoW situation, yet I saw some thread or link on a character sheet that lined up different "boss fights" if you would call it that and I spotted Arthas' name.

Laughing Hyena

All i can say is make a character and submit him to us so we can see about getting you in.But seeing as how we are on the fence with one choice, namely Vaas, I'd suggest working on the backstory first and seeing if we approve that.

Prudence, justice, temperance, courage, faith, hope, love...
debate any other aspect of my faith these are the heavenly virtues. this flawed mortal is going to try to adhere to them.

Culture: the ability to carve an intricate and beautiful bowl from the skull of a fallen enemy.
Civilization: the ability to put that psycho in prision for killing people.

This is an incredibly interesting concept; it has the scope for some varied and diverse character stories.

Are you still accepting new recruits? Or have I, sadly, missed the window of opportunity?

There is always room for more, but you might have to PM "Laughing Hyena" and PrestaDGTation since they are the GMs and let them both know you want to join.

So there's a chance? Thanks very much! I'll drop them a quick message then.  ;D

Double-post! Sorry...

Just to clarify something in the character sheet:

QuoteNew characters will start with 4 points to spend. Strength, Agility, Stamina, and Power will all start at 1

Does this mean they start at 1 before I add my 4 points, giving me eight points to start? Or that I can't push them beyond 1 at my starting level?

Thanks in advance!  ;D

They all start at 1 and you get 4 to add wherever you feel appropriate for the character.

Ike - 'The Radiant Hero'

Current Occupation: Farmhand, because he hasn't fought in some time.

Home World Information: Ike hails from the continent of Tellius, a massive landmass divided into three kingdoms ruled by Beorc (Humans) and four by shape-shifting therians known as Laguz. Both communities do their best to live in harmony with the other.

Appearance/Style Description: Ike is a tall warrior, clad in medium leather armour with segments of weighted armor at key points on his person. He wears a long headband and billowing red cape, symbols of his warrior pride as much as his sword.

Sexuality: Living, generally, around warriors and armies Ike has no distinction of male or female on the battlefield. But once a camp is set up, and everyone can relax and unwind, Ike is no stranger to allure of the warm embrace of a good woman.

Personality: Having grown up within a mercenary group founded by his father, Greil, Ike has developed a very principled and altruistic mind, having witnessed the plights of people at their darkest moments. He strives to live up to the example set by his father; follow through on any contract but never give up ones crucially held values to do so.

Unaware of the Laguz during his young life Ike grew up bearing no pre-planted prejudice and judged each and every person individually based on their character, as he hoped they would with him. He is kind, brave and rather humble, never seeking reward for his actions and only desiring the wage to pay his loyal mercenary party. Ike will always defend tooth and nail those he considers friend and family.

History: Taking over the Greil Mercenaries following the death of his father, Ike lead his band to join up with the forces of Crimea and their princess, Elincia, to fight back against the tyrant Ashnard and his Four Riders. They succeed in liberating the country, defeating Ashnard and Ike is recognized as the hero in the conflict that was dubbed 'The Mad Kings War.'
Months passed following this and conflict blossomed anew; the corrupt senate of Bengion, largest and most powerful of the Beorc countries, liberate Daein, Ashnards kingdom, and install a puppet ruler. This 'king' would lead a powerful priestess against Crimea, hoping for the conflict to awaken Lehran's medallion and release chaos on the world. Sick of watching constant conflict Ashera, the fragmentary Goddess of Order, attempts to destroy all life and restart the population of the world. Taking in hand blessed weapons Ike and his friends defeat the goddess and reunite her with her missing fragment Yune.
Peace followed and Ike, having no more need to serve as a mercenary, departed Tellius for lands unknown, leaving behind the story of 'The Radiant Hero.'

Current Situation: Living in a small but stable country Ike enjoyed the stillness of life without conflict until one day a threat presented itself that was unlike anything he witnessed during the war against Ashera. Massive mechanical devices, piloted by men but controlled by magic invaded the world, led by a menacing pierrot calling himself Kefka. He laid waste to the country despite aid coming from larger Tellius in the form of the dragon Laguz of Goldoa.
Kefka released one last weapon that turned the battle in favour of the Legion; a gelatinous parasitic creature, with three visible nuclei and two prongs that allowed it to latch onto opponents and drain their powers. These creatures were called 'Metroids' and their influence on the dragons allowed them to be easily defeated and Kefka's army began their sweep over the whole world.

Ike, in his attempts to stop Kefka, was thrown into a dark abyss, one from which he was about to emerge....

Weapon: Ragnel - A large golden sword with a black hilt, this weapon was blessed by the goddess Ashera, and used by the first Apostle to defeat Yune, making it unbreakable. This blessing also prevents people other than Ike from wielding it, unlike its sister blade, Alondite, which can be handled by any proficient sword master. Has the ability to launch a crescent of energy when swung if one chooses.

Special Powers:

Sol - A vertical slice, imbued with the power of the sun. Ike's attack with this move restores his health equal to the power the strike inflicts.

Luna - A horizontal slice, imbued with the power of the moon. Ike's attack with this move halves, and in uncommon instances negates, the defence of the target.

Aether - Ike's signature ability; combines the attributes of both Sol and Luna for a truly devastating attack. He throws his sword into the air, bringing it down heavily for the first strike, before slicing it violently upward for the second.

Strengths:

Sword Master - Ike is proficient with any blade that finds its way into his hand. He can control any weapon with the strength, finesse or both needed to wield it properly.

Born Leader - Circumstances lead Ike to take control of his fathers mercenary band while he was still inexperienced, but it invaluably matured his sense of team structure and co-ordination. Coupled with what he learned from his strategist, Soren, Ike is an essential front man for any army.

Null Prejudice - Ike takes no unwarranted umbrage with any kind of xenoform he encounters due to witnessing the racial biases against other species he's met in his lifetime.

Weaknesses:

Magic - In Ike's world magic exists as another form of warfare, one which is particularly effective against armored knights and warriors with little resistance. Ike falls under the latter and because of his close-quarters fighting style a powerful mage could easily take advantage from a distance.

Agility Specialists - Ike is proud of his strength, that which allows him to wield a two-handed sword with just one, and effectively. This, combined with his large frame however, makes him an easy target for enemies who are fleet of foot. If ninjas or assassin's get close it could spell the end for the Radiant Hero.

Idealism - Following his fathers beliefs Ike will never execute a defeated enemy, always opting to show compassion, either capturing or releasing them with a second chance. He is unable to bend this principle, even for some truly horrible individuals.

Inferior Rabbit

Was thinking of joining up as one Jotaro Kujo, one of the most powerful stand users of his time.

For those of you who don't know, Jotaro's deal is that he's a stand user. A Stand is a spiritual image of himself, which he can physically manifest, and use to fight others. Obviously, I'd tweak the rules of stands a bit, so that other people can see him and actually be able to harm him.

Jotaro Kujo

Current Occupation: Marine Biologist

Home World Information: Jotaro is from Earth, in the early nineties. It is virtually the same as our own Earth, save for the existence of Stands.

Appearance/Style Description: Jotaro is a tall (195 cm/6'5"), handsome and well-built man. He has dark hair, a strong jaw, bold eyebrows, and light eyes.

His trademarks are a visored, ornamented cap, torn at the back and blending with his hair, and a black, roughly mid-calf-length coat with a standing collar and chains attached.

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: - Jotaro is introduced as rather rough and delinquent; but he is dedicated, fair, and loyal. He is highly perceptive, intelligent and quick-witted while keeping a perpetually cool, slightly neutral or disinterested attitude.

Jotaro loves his mother and respects his grandfather, although he may not be overt about displaying it. It is not that he is unaware of his own love and/or respect - rather, he thinks anyone can tell his emotions just by looking at him, and probably thinks further effort in portraying how he feels to be a waste of time, making others tend to perceive Jotaro as a very aloof and callous person when he is in reality caring and reverent.

Jotaro is as fierce as he is gentle, as he will fight with an unreal brutality, but in victory, will almost always be willing to spare anyone, unless he deems them too much of a threat to be allowed to live(ex., Dio).

History: - Jotaro’s story began back when he was a young man, at the age of 17 who lived with his mother in Japan. He had been a troubled youth, and looked down on upon society for his disrespectful attitude. Despite that though, he did well in school, and was well liked by many of the girls in his school. Everything changed though, when the vampire Dio, his family’s ancient enemy, returned from his slumber at the bottom of the ocean.

Dio, in a quest for power, awakened mystical beings known as Stands, across the world, including Jotaro’s and his family’s. That was when he finally met Star Platinum. However, his mother on the other hand, suffered because of it. Her spirit wasn’t strong enough to control her stand, and it began eating away at her, slowly killing her. In order to save his mother, Jotaro would have to battle a reawakened Dio, who like him, wielded an unimaginable amount of power.

He took up the challenge of course, and with comrades as well, including an Egyptian fortune-teller, Jotaro’s grandfather, a fellow Japanese student, a Frenchman seeking vengeance, and even a dog. Together, they travelled to Cairo, facing many other Stand-Users on their quest, to ultimately fight Dio. In the final confrontation, Dio and Jotaro faced off. It was a close match, but after Jotaro’s discovery of the Time Stop, he was able to defeat Dio, and save not only his mother, but the rest of the modern world as well.

The journey had taken weeks, and not everyone survived, but they finally did it. With that, Jotaro went his own way, hoping to live out the rest of his life in relative peace.

Current Situation: - Jotaro had been researching the Atlantic ocean for three weeks then, at the request of the Speedwagon Foundation. They had reported some unusual seismic activity coming from the bottom of the ocean. What was bizarre about it, was the fact that the activity was centralized only to a square mile radius, affecting only one sensor, off the coast of a remote island.

He had been considering putting on a scuba-suit, to go down and investigate the wildlife for some clues to the disturbance, when it happened; a rift in the waves, as though Moses himself had come to ruin Jotaro’s day. The depths of the ocean seemed to open, like a gaping maw, and within a moment, JoJo’s little boat was free-falling, deep into the chasm below.

He awoke later, coughing and gasping for breath. His bones and muscles felt as though they had been torn apart and put together again. He found himself in a strange new world, with a people that didn’t know him. It seemed as though he was taken from his world, and now he only had one option left to him. Find out what happened, and make it back home... if there was even a home to go back to.

Weapon: - Star Platinum, Jotaro’s Stand. Stands are spiritual images of their users, given physical form in our dimension. A stand’s appearance, powers, and even their personality all reflect their users soul, as a means of projecting their will onto the world around them.

Special Powers:

Star Finger - Star Platinum can extend his index and middle fingers up to a meter, shooting it with the force of a bullet. A minor ability, but it’s always something he keeps up his sleeve, as a sneak attack to catch his opponents off-guard.

Self-Preservation - Just because Jotaro is down, that doesn’t mean Star Platinum is down as well. Star Platinum will actively defend Jotaro, without any command from his human master.

Star Platinum: The World - This is Jotaro’s #1 weapon; the time-stop. He discovered this incredible power in his fight against Dio. He is capable of stopping time for a maximum of five seconds(in his frame of reference) and move around in it. He can use this to move other objects and people around him, and even inflict thousands of punches on his enemy, before they even know what happened. This power is exhuastin however, and can only be used for a maximum of two times, maybe three if he doesn’t go the full five seconds.

Strengths:

Super Speed and Strength - Star Platinum is an incredibly deadly close-range fighter, capable of throwing a thousand punches in a matter of seconds. Jotaro’s stand has punched its way through stone, steel, and even artificial diamond.

Superior Reflexes - Star Platinum’s sight, and other senses, are much stronger than the average human’s, to the point that he was able to catch a bullet fired at point blank range.

Intelligence - Jotaro, while not a particularly knowledgable person, is an extremely clever fighter, capable of turning any situation to his advantage. While powerful, Star Platinum is not as versatile as Jotaro would like, so he needs to always be on his feet.

Cool Demeanor - Jotaro, as part of his personality, never expresses any real emotions, both in and out of battle. He knows how to keep a level head.

Weaknesses:

Range - Star Platinum is a close-range stand, meaning he can only move within two meters of Jotaro. This means that if he is fighting a long-range combatant, there is little he can do, aside from the Star Finger, which can be shot an extra two meters.

Shared Pain - Star Platinum, after leaving Jotaro’s version of Earth, is now visible, and tangible, to anyone with eyes. He can be attacked, and any wounds inflicted on Star Platinum are inflicted on Jotaro as well. If Star Platinum were to be killed, then Jotaro would die as well.

Spirit Strain - Jotaro’s powers are only as strong as his body, and will. The more injuries inflicted on Jotaro, the weaker Star Platinum becomes. In short, the longer the fight goes on, the weaker Jotaro becomes.

The Time Stop - Jotaro’s most powerful weapon has the capability of killing him as well. As a human, it is incredibly straining on his body to stop time for even five seconds. Every clock-stop is extremely exhausting, to the point that he could pass out with repeated use. He can perform the time stop a maximum of two times, before he is forced to stop.

Lack of Weapons - When it comes down to it, Jotaro isn’t much stronger than any other human. Aside from his intelligence, and individual strength, all the power is his stand’s. If Star Platinum were to be separated from Jotaro, or suppressed with magic, he’d be relatively defenseless against any other enemy in this new, crazy world.

I'd like to apologize for dropping off the map and then going off into another game.  RL take a hit on me last time and when I got things back in order I completely forgotten about this as I had put that all on the backburner.  I am very very very sorry for all of that.  If you'd still have me and get something whipped up.

DazzlingCockroach

Hello! I'd be interested to play a Drell Vanguard, from Mass Effect. Would that be OK ?

Mr L

Hello DazzlingCockroach! I was just curious to know if you were going for a Drell Vanguard from the multiplayer parts of ME3, or a specific Drell from the storyline :P Either way, I don't see it being an issue, but then again, I'm not a GM for this lovely game. Laughing Hyena or PrestaDGTation should be along to give you the okay in a bit.
