"In normal times, evil would be fought with good.
But in times like these, well,
it should be fought by another kind of evil."
-Aereon, Chronicles of Riddick

Greetings writers, welcome to Hellions.

Hellions is a Science-Fiction/Cyberpunk Storytelling Sandbox that takes place in the year who knows on the planet called Kintar.

People have been living on Kintar now for just over four hundred years and things were going great until about thirty years ago. That's when the Usoba showed up and things got messy. Humanity ended up out here in deep space a long time ago, the details of which are either lost, kept secret or so warped at this point that it's impossible to distinguish what was fact from what is fallacy. The story goes something like this:

Humanity was on earth and they were doing their thing. That means strutting themselves all over the place, grabbing their nuts and giving one another the bird, and firing nukes off at one another. That last bit is really the part that sticks out in most peoples minds though. There was a big war, but the details on that war are a bit hazy. Some people will tell you China got sick of the USA's bullshit and decided to expand; others will tell you Russia unleashed their not so secret arsenal in a power play to reestablish themselves; still others credit the event to some terrorist group that found the long lost Weapons of Mass Destruction hiding in Iraq. Truth is that it doesn't matter what the fuck happened, the point is that it did happen and then shit got real. The world nearly bombed itself into the next dark age - and they probably would have if it wasn't for one very strong independent woman named Adelae Haynes.

Adelae was already a pretty significant person, because she was leading the field in deep space exploration efforts and reinvigorating the space programs across the globe. It was her idea that all countries should be working on this together, and ultimately she became the head of Sexto Orbis - literally Sixth World. Why Sixth World? Because she broke down the worlds major space programs - NASA (Nation Aeronautics and Space Administration), ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), ESA (European Space Agency), CNSA (China National Space Administration), JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and RFSA (Russian Federal Space Agency) - who had full launch capabilities and brought them together to work together. About ten years into their joint research is when the war started and it was this organization that brokered peace... eventually. Needless to say at this point the world had suffered pretty heavily and so they took their research and crafted the future of humanity.

They called them Genesis Ships and they were supposed to be all inclusive. They contained enough materials and technology that the people living on the habitable deep space worlds that had been discovered by Sexto Orbis could colonize and grow much like they had on earth. Of course people would never survive the flight and they didn't have a neat answer to that problem. So they didn't try. Instead they took volunteers - five hundred per Genesis Ship - and put them into chemically induced comas. Then through the power of advanced technology and calculations they began breeding these five hundred people on board, literally growing their babies. Each of the six ships was designed to hold a hundred thousand people, of which they expected to be full and cycled some generations before the ships arrived at their destination planets. Then as promised each of the Genesis Ships was flung into deep space, and contact with the home world hasn't happened since.

Floating through space the machines on the Genesis ships kept the coma induced people in check, while using its automated parts to continue breeding them, growing new people and allowing population not only to stay healthy but grow. The ship was actively working to fill all one-hundred thousand containment pods. As people aged and decayed they were recycled. Genesis Ship code named Aphrodite was the ship to land on Kintar. That's also when it woke up what records would come to call Generation 1.

Truth be told Generation 1 really had a shitty job; they had to settle Kintar. Luckily they had been provided everything they needed to do exactly that. By breaking apart, slowly, Aphrodite they were able to rebuild human society on Kintar at a level roughly equal to where Earth had been when they were sent off. With the added benefit of having resources on Kintar that weren't available on Earth, that generation built great cities the capital of which was called Ohio. It didn't stick and by the time Generation 4 came around (approximately 300 years ago, counting Generations every 25 years) the newer (and more advanced city) of Tokyo had become the capital. What happened next was really boring, but people started spreading across the planet and building more and once again humanity became to flourish. Many attempts were made to contact Earth but to this day no such attempt has succeeded. They also set up the official timeline of Kintar - the current year being 418KWL.

This is where the story takes a dramatic turn for the worse. 386KWL is when the Usoba war ship literally warped into the sky over the city Moscow and wrecked it. Not small wrecked, but just blew the fucker off the side of the planet - this is not an exaggeration, there is now a crater in Kintar called the Moscow Dent. The Usoba were the first - in theory - interaction humanity had with life from another world and it was a really, really bad interaction. There's not a whole lot of information as to why this happened, why they attacked or if there are others. Luckily for Generation 15 humanity liked its guns and had prepared for the out come of hostile alien life, and so they were not sent defenseless. Of course the war was going pretty badly until one guy stepped forward and took control of the Armed Forces of Kintar and turned the tide of the war against the Usoba.

Aaron Marx lead humanity to not only come back, but ultimately defeat the Usoba, literally blowing their war ship out of the sky. It was at roughly this point that Aaron became Kintar's very own Hitler, and formed the Kintari Directorate to ensure peace, prosperity and secure the future of the people of Kintar. The Directorate locked the world down and instituted harsh regulations to govern the people, but in many ways this was a welcome change given what Aaron had accomplished and people, being the sheep that they are, flocked to the idea of this sort of leadership. Two things happened when the Usoba were defeated. The first was that alien matter rained down over Kintar and got all up in its atmosphere - and the ramifications of this particular problem wouldn't be discovered for a while yet to come. The second and better for everyone was that the top minds of the newly formed Directorate were able to take the Usoba ship and greatly improve the lives of the citizens. A lot, and I do mean a lot has changed. With the technology of the Usoba in hands of humanity they were catapulted into the future. We're talking holograms, artificial intelligence, cybernetics, the whole nine.

In the year 397KWL the resistance group - labeled terrorist organization by the Directorate - called the Heirs of Kintar is formed and starts taking huge measures to undermine the Kintar Directorate and free people from its tyrannical grasp. The Directorate at this point is pretty much absolute law, and in hopes to establish the world as its own entity - after all, Earth isn't picking up the phone, so fuck them - they abolish the Earth-style names of the world and cut ties to that part of their history. Tokyo, now rebuilt and renamed Emperios sits as the capital of the Directorate - and what an amazing place it is. Now it's a big ol' fuck fest between the Heirs and the Directorate and people are caught in the cross fire all the time. All in all life isn't too bad, but it's certainly an interesting time to be alive!

Did you think we forgot about that first point though? Nope, not at all. That's probably the biggest reason it's an interesting time to be alive. That Usoba matter that rained down on the world? Yea well it spawned a new sub-species of people that are lovingly called Species X003; or more commonly: Freaks, hybrids, oh god not you, what the fuck are you?!, monsters, aliens, and a crowd favorite devil spawn. They prefer the term Outlanders, and among themselves - not that they're a particularly common occurrence - this is considered the "socially acceptable" name for them.

This is where we come in.

My name isn't important right now, but you can call me The Iceman, and you? Well I know all about you. Looking at this rap sheet, looks like you've got a pretty extensive history of being a problem child for... Well everyone. Oh and that stuff that they don't know about, you know your extra super secret stuff? Yea I know about that stuff too. Silly, did you think in this age you could do anything without leaving some kind of foot print? Nope, that's not how it works. Don't worry though, it'll be our little secret. And it also happens to be pretty good, because all of that stuff... And more, I really hope you don't mind escalating... is exactly what I'm looking for.

What the hell you ask? Well you see I'm putting together a little team of people just like you. I mean just like you. Cowboys, outlaws, rogues... Mercs. This is a glorious time to be alive, and with your skills? Well we can have a lot of fun. Oh, I know you're having fun on your own, but trust me, join my little group, my little team of Hellions and you can have a lot more fun. Oh and make loads of money. Maybe do some good too even, who knows. We'll just have to wait and see. Oh, and did I mention that the other Hellions are just like you? Ya, that's right, all of them are Outlanders.

Choice is yours friend. If you don't want in you'll never hear from or see me again, and that's just fine by me. You're going to hear about me though, and you're going to envious... Man I can see the red in your cheeks once you see what we're going to be doing. It'd be your loss, and well ours too I guess a little bit. Have I mentioned with your skills you'd fit right in here? It'd be just like a new home for you, a real home. Because we're family. Not that blood shit, I mean real family. If you want to see more, tap the button on the left and you'll be given a place and a time. Tap the button on the right and I blow up the records of your rap sheet and you get to start over just for hearing me out.

Choice is yours hot shot,

But I'll see you soon.

What is Hellions?

Well it's a lot of things. First it's a game about a group of individuals who are willing, happy, and eager to go to extremes and do extreme things. These are factionless brothers and sisters working together with unique skills and histories to be fucking awesome. Iceman will be a central GM NPC figure who operates the team, covers their tracks and keeps them rolling in things to do. He's their contact point and in some ways the father to this big happy family. Happy might not be the right word, but family is. The Hellions are a group of Outlanders - people who are already pushed out of society because of what they are - who are brought together and can find solace in one another. While this need not be the only family they've ever known, the bonding of this group as they come to rely on one another is a major point of the game.

It's important to know that the Hellions are not heroes, but they are villains either. These are mercanaries who exist outside the law. Before they were Hellions they were something else, someone with an expertise and that's why they were called here. Specialists if you will, all with one thing in common: they like to raise a little hell. This game is exploring people who could be good guys one day, bad guys the next and are ultimately completely out for only themselves and one another.

In Hellions you'll be playing an Outlander, which is neither human or alien but something in between. Creating an Outlander is pretty easy and comes with some really fun perks that make this team especially unique and hard to deal with for both the Heirs and the Directorate.

Outlander Traits
  • Outlanders have only been around for about 25 years, characters may not be older then that.
  • Part of their Usoba altered DNA allows Outlanders to communicate telepathically with one another over great distances. Each Outlander has a unique 'mental frequency' that can be tapped into and form a telepathic bridge for communication and sensory sharing.
  • Additionally all of the Outlanders have a small level of telekinesis. With their minds full grown Outlanders can freely move roughly fifty pounds with their minds, while normal peak capacity is about seventy-five pounds.
  • The most exciting part of the Outlanders is their Alien Mutation. Basically, every Outlander is a mutant and has some kind of supernatural power that is, usually, unique to them. These powers have a wide range and vary dramatically from Outlander to Outlander.

Game Information
  • Who is running this game?
    That would be Wispyr
  • How many players will there be?
At this time I only plan to take five players on this journey with me. That means that this game is not first come first serve and will instead use a brief application process, of which I will select those I feel will be best suited for the game.
  • Who can play?
    Anyone and everyone.
  • What about posting guidelines?
Enough content in each post for players to work with, however we'd like to see a bare minimum of roughly 300 words (3 solid paragraphs) per post. Posts should be written in the third person past tense. The aim of this game is to have a slightly faster posting rate, we would like to see at least one post every three to four days, with an absolute limit of at minimum every seven days.
  • What board will this play in?
Extreme. Please note that this game is very likely to get extreme. The very nature of this game leads the characters to doing some very seriously fucked up shit and far more importantly can lead to having very serious fucked up shit happen too the characters. This includes but is not limited to: serious battle wounds, potential non-con (full blown rape themes), and extremely graphic content. While this game is likely to have a light hearted and fun side, it is just as likely to have an extreme and in your face heavy side. Please keep this in mind. While character death is a possible out come this game does not seek to kill players, however in character actions have in character consequences, please always remember this. Please remember that randomly raping characters and killing them isn't the point of the game the big point here is only that these things could happen not that they will happen. Though graphic themes and content (not sexually speaking) is likely to be a reoccurring and constant theme. Characters are just as likely to end up in brutal assassination scenarios as they are stealthy vault robbing ones.
  • Can I play a bad guy?
Please read the information above and figure it out.
  • Can I play a good guy?
No. Frankly no genuinely good person would fit into the lifestyle the Hellions have selected.
  • Can I play a non-outlander?
No. Part of the games core premise revolves around being an Outlander. Besides who doesn't want telepathy, telekinesis AND a cool power?
  • Where should character applications be submitted?
    In this thread.

How To Apply
There are two easy steps to applying to play in Hellions.

Step 1: Voice interest in this thread.
Step 2: Fill out the application mini sheet.

SURPRISE...

Step 3: Wait for recruitment to close and the choices to be made.

Things that will be looking for in character creation:

Equal(ish) gender/orientation pairings. Unique specialist skill sets (no one is a jack of trades, or if they are they can do anything okay, but aren't nearly great at anything) that will fit well into the team. Unique Mutation ideas. Cool, fun and engaging character concepts. Feel free to go as detailed as you'd like in the concept, so long as in general I can get a feel for the character you are wanting to play - please give me more then the examples, as those are decent but do not paint a solid image.

Sample Applications
Gender: Male.
Orientation: Homosexual.
Concept: Rough and tough brawler type. Probably a bar goer, lots of drunken fighting in his past and in his future. Not great at the going under cover thing, but exceptionally well connected and exactly the guy you want on the front lines. Loud and obnoxious, extremely opinionated.

Specialist Skills: Bare knuckles fighting. If you want someone in close quarters, that face to face, bloody type of engagement, this is your guy.

Mutation: Unbreakable - you can kill him, sure, but it's going to take a lot. His bones are harder then the hardest steel, so doing lasting damage can be a real problem. His heart is, obviously, his biggest weak point and he can still die to normal things that don't involve breaking him. This also gives him an amazing ability to endure blunt force, since his bones literally can't be crushed.

Gender: Female
Orientation: Heterosexual
Concept: She's sly, intoxicatingly so. She likes to know her marks before she takes action. She's in it for the money and the fame (read: notority).

Specialist Skills: Cat burgler. She's great at getting in and out, breaking security systems and being undetected.

Mutation: Pyromancy - When it gets real, she turns up the heat, literally. She's got the ability to generate flames and throw them in various shapes, sizes and intensities.

Sample Character Sheet

-Hellions Character Sheet-
Victor Daniel Archibald III
Iceman

The Handeler

David Rosenberg
Male | Pansexual
College | 29 | European
Blue | 5'10 | 168lbs | Brown

Description
Victor was born into the illustrious Archibald family, a bloodline that was - some say - bought onto the Genesis Ships and kept a strong bloodline because of commands given by the ship’s computer. The truth about this isn’t much known, but it is known that the Archibalds have been major players on Kintar since the legendary Generation 1 that settled the planet. Before the time of the Kintari Directorate they sat on the council of leadership, and it’s in part due to the families support that Aaron Marx was able to forge such a strong presence and get the Directorate going in the first place. Victor should have been the heir to that name, as his father Victor Daniel Archibald II had intended, but little Victor had other plans. Young Victor saw all that his family had to offer and realized that it was a fate worse than death: a boring life. So he took the skills and knowledges his family’s status and wealth afforded him and then he just up and left.

He vanished and changed his name, plunging himself deep underground where he was certain that he would not be found. As the world grew with Usoba technology, he learned and adapted, and found that he was very good with technology in general. That was when the alias, Iceman, was born - and Victor hasn’t looked back to his old self since.

David is a guy who has grown to love fun, excitement and breaking the law. He doesn’t believe in the Directorate or what it stands for, but he sure as hell doesn’t agree with the agenda of the Heirs either. He’s changed himself so much over the years that the look of the Archibald family is gone from him, so that he can freely walk around the city without being recognized. He keeps himself fairly well groomed, but has been known to sport the scruffy look from time to time - typically when he’s forgotten to do anything about it because of business. Morals, for him, are a thing that need to change constantly to handle the situation at hand. Sticking with one set always seemed, to him, to be a really bad idea. Victor has exceptional organizational skills as well as very solid logic and reasoning, which make him great at planning for most contingencies.

Of course the last little note that his family never got to learn about, as his mutation didn’t present itself until after he had fled them, was the fact that the great and pure Archibald line had been corrupted by him - an Outlander. Just one more way he fucked up his parents plans.

Know For
Six years ago Iceman launched a cyber attack against the Archibald family as well as the Kintari Directorate. The actual amount of money that was taken between the two is unknown as the details were never released - however it became quick knowledge that however much was taken from the Archibald family was enough to crash their entire hold on the Directorate and bring the family to ruin.

Iceman is on the Kintari Directorate’s list of most wanted individuals, ranked Number 3 with a bounty of over five million credits for his successful capture - alive or dead, with subsequent rewards of one hundred thousand credits to any individual who provides viable information that results in flushing him out.

Alien Mutation
Victor’s mind is almost as advanced as an artificial intelligence. He can process information at incredible speeds and actually record things that he sees, hears, and otherwise experiences and commit them to a seemingly endless memory. An extension of this ability allows him to literally project images from his mind’s eye. As he desires he can project holographic like images to display what is in his head.

Now for my character. The character sheet will likely receive some updates by the time I've approved some people... But this will give everyone an idea of who I am running - and nothing should change much about that, just some things will be added for everyone's sake.

-Hellions Character Sheet-
Mikhail Crowley Sokolov
Eclipse

Frontal Assault

Adam Cowie
Male | Heterosexual
H Standard | 24 | Russian
Brown | 6’2 | 179lbs | Brown

Description
Mikhail was born into what should have been a pretty average life, and if he wasn’t an Outlander, it probably would have been just that. Average. Mundane. Luckily - not not, depending on perspective - for him, he was born an Outlander. His early childhood was pretty quiet. He grew up with an average family, in a pretty average city, in a pretty average neighborhood with pretty average everything else. Right until he was in his early teens and his power manifested at school of all things. Some punk kid got in his face, decided to bully Mikhail and he had enough - a cloud of blackness enveloped them and only horrified screams followed. Moments later the darkness receded and Mikhail stood over his broken victim. That was also the moment that he was taken away from his family and imprisoned in a Kintari Directorate research facility; surprise, this turned out to be code for Kintari Directorate prison facility.

In this facility the Directorate had taken in others of the still only just becoming discovered Outlanders and were doing research on them, trying to identify exactly what they were in the first place. They treated them, sort of, like people. They were educated, clothed, and even fed. Which was nice except the part where they were also subjected to pretty awful testing, beatings and stress in the name of science and security. All in all it was a pretty miserable experience. One that Mikhail ended as he entered his young adult life. He’d been taken in when he was twelve, and by the time he was eighteen he’d pretty much had enough of their shit. During what had become a pretty standard rotation from one place to another, he called up his power, killed the guard and stole his weapon. Sheltered by his darkness Mikhail, along with other freed prisoners, made his way through the facility and ultimately broke out - but only after inflicting terrible vengeance upon his long time captors.

Into the world, with no home that he remembered and all but deleted from society, he had to live a very different way. He became a sell-sword of sorts, offering skills to the highest bidder. Sure the jobs weren’t always nice, or the greatest, but they earned him money and gave him a life. It took three years before Mikhail had actually defined himself as a person again. During this time he discovered that he was good at what he was doing, and that he liked it. He also realized that he could take on bigger fish, and upped his game.

Mikhail is a tall guy with a build fitting of his activities - which means he’s exceptionally well defined. Muscular might be an overstatement of his form, but certainly on that side of well toned. He’s a man with simple tastes, both in clothing and actions and typically prefers the quickest most no bullshit method of getting things done. Plans that require you to jump through hoops, cut corners and are overly convoluted tend to annoy him - especially if it can be as easy as ‘go in, get it done, leave’. Having been shown limited kindness in his life, he’s not what anyone would call a kind man, that said he isn’t one to go out of his way to be cruel either. He’s not fond of liars, and cheats - people who double cross him do not live to regret it. He’s proven that he has a penchant for surviving bad situations, even if it’s not always in the best of shape. He’s a fighter who prefers the up close and personal kill; he’s the mercenary who is driven as much by thrill and challenge as he is by profit and opportunity.

Lastly Mikhail is a lost soul with a lot of demons to fight against. His time in the Directorate facility did a serious number to him, and while he’s learned to cope and put on a good face, the truth is that he’s haunted and tormented by the past - in addition to things that have happened since then. Because of these two things he is fiercely, even savagely, opposed to the Kintari Directorate.

Know For
While Mikhail has performed a number of impressive feats, without a doubt the thing that he is most well known for - both publically and by his enemies - is the escape from the Directorate facility. It happened during a time when the public opinion on Outlanders was just forming and they were being painted by Directorate propaganda was making them out to be monsters. Mikhail’s escape and killing of many Directorate officers and scientists was a public affair that only further depicted them as monsters. While his escape has made him a person of extreme interest to the Directorate, and a desperately wanted asset to reclaim, he has not managed to make the most wanted list.

Alien Mutation
Mikhail can exude an inky blackness, the initial burst can instantly cover nearly ten feet in all directions centered on him. After that he can continue to pump the darkness out and cause his black cloud to expand, and with enough time he could fill a theoretically limitless amount of space with it. This darkness is not like night, but rather like the abyss. It is absolute and can not be seen through by normal means, and within the cloud it is almost as if things don’t exist - things such as sensory equipment and special versions of sight (night vision, infrared, etc) can’t penetrate the outer limits of the cloud. Mikhail, however, is able to see through his cloud as though it weren’t there, while gaining other benefits so long as he remains within the confines of the cloud. He is keenly aware of the location and movements of others within the cloud, able to track the slightest tremble of bodies. Further, so long as he remains within the cloud he is considerably stronger and faster then normal. Mikhail can pull all of his blackness back into himself over a few moments, literally absorbing it back into his body - though if he doesn’t recall it any blackness left after he leaves the area (such as creating the initial cloud and then moving forward enough that his continued production of the blackness is not connected to the original cloud) rapidly dissipates over roughly one minute.

This makes a lot of sense.

To me, this game looks like it would clearly be in the Extreme board. If I join a game that is going to that board, I know full well that I may encounter absolutely anything that fits into the Extreme categorization. To take it a step further - I assume that the GM may do anything to my character that fits that as well. It doesn't mean I'm expecting to necessarily write it all out, but I also would never really say 'you can't do that to my character'. Using the non-con as an example: I might possibly say that I'd prefer it happen off panel, or I might ask you not to maim my character in a way that fundamentally changes who they are (Sorry Mr Marksman, you're now a triple amputee with vision impairments!).

I suddenly feel like I maybe wrote too much for this concept but. Uh. INTEREST.

Application HEYO
Gender: Female
Orientation: Omnisexual
Concept: Once upon a time there was a sweet princess. Then an army came and burned her kingdom down. It wasn't that the princess didn't want to weep for all that had been lost. It was just that she wanted the army to burn more than she wanted to grieve. So you see the princess became a dragon. The army burned, the world burned, the universe burned. Happy. Ever. After.

Contradictory as fuck, essentially. Most of the time she comes off as sweet and endearing and delicate. She likes pretty clothes, sparkly things, and the color pink. Half the time she can be found singing the kind of things that sound like sugar tastes. All her holodisks are fairytales. Such a princess. Then she engineers a bomb out of spare parts and blows up a half dozen people for the fucking hell of it and suddenly everyone sees the monster on a leash. (Who's holding the leash?) Probably she has some tragic backstory to justify the mass murder sprees. But she doesn't really care about justifying anything to anyone.

Okay, so she's a public menace of the first order. But that doesn't mean she doesn't have her uses. Every good band of mercs needs an engineering and demolitions expert with no pesky moral compass to get in the way, right?

[OOC Note: While it's not strictly necessary, this character could definitely use a "handler" or two. Or four. This doesn't necessarily mean someone more stable than she is or even that they necessarily wanted the job. Just someone who, for whatever reason, she's ride-or-die loyal to. The person holding the aforementioned leash to the monster.]

Specialist Skills: Highly skilled engineer. Can fix just about anything mechanical made in the last fifty or so years. It may take a while, depending on how familiar she is, but she can do it. Demolitions expert. Can build a bomb out of nearly anything.

Mutation: Fire Rebirth - Not your mama's brand of fireproof. True, she actually is fireproof. Flames won't hurt her. But when she's in (or on) fire, she actually heals. Re-energizes. Gets generally more awesome.

Dominique

This is my application. There are many like it but this one is mine.

Gender: Female
Orientation: Pansexual
Concept: The doctor. An educated, gifted surgeon with a little bit of crazy on the side.

A trained surgeon with a -brief- military past. She's an angelic looking, talking and working girl with a deceptional innocence. Dedicated to her trade, she can make the impossible happen like any good miracle worker. And though first impressions are often far from the truth, at first glance you'd count her among heroes. It's only when you dig a little deeper that there's a bit of an unsettling truth.

The girl carries a curiosity and has a vast imagination, meaning that in her work she'll resort to methods you wouldn't easily find in any medical book. Some would be frowned upon, others could serve to horrify you at first and, perhaps, make you question the legitimacy of her diplomas. True, she does cure, heal and mend her patients, but her true interests lie in the augmentation of people, in making them better than they were before they were injured or fell ill. Unfortunately, most of her patients do not share such enthusiasm, and an inability to find an outlet for her more creative outbursts cause her to resort to less... conventional solutions.

Specialist Skills: Certified Trauma Surgeon. Steady hands, incredible medical knowledge and a genius in their field of expertise. Can handle a ton of pressure, in fact, has a way to focus under the most extreme circumstances.

Mutation:The ability to see and move through solid matter. This includes organic matter, allowing her to see into the body of her patient (and reach inside if need be).

Hope it works!
Gender: Male
Orientation: Homosexual

Concept: Just a boy growing up as the child of single mother who served in the resistance against the Kintar Directorate. Having lost her and still believing in her cause, he grew up in the care of is mother's friend, an uncle figure and lived in the slums of Emperios. Even though he lost his mother, he maintained contact with some members of the resistance and they offered tutelage in some espionage skills. Of course when his powers kicked in, that's when life got super interesting.

A few members of the resistance had been confined to one of the Kintar Directorate's Prison Facilities. He infiltrated the facility and once in, he initiated a system failure for the facility as a reminder that the Directorate's were not all controlling and knowing...and because he was bored of playing along as one of Directorate's piggies. A riot ensued as it allowed his captured resistance members free...along with several hundred criminals. He took his leave among the chaos.

His job was done and he decided to take a break from 'Fighting the Oppressors'. If anything all he wanted was to live life on his own terms. Living comfortably without one fuck to give about the nonsense of wars and dictatorships. Instead he ended up becoming something of a freelance agent able to work for whoever for the right price, primarily as as a thief for hire.

Temperament is pretty laid back, fun and surprisingly upbeat; borderline sociopath displayed with black humor that he enjoys trolling people with by giving disturbing and violent suggestions on how to deal with a situation before actually coming up with a true solution. Has a weakness for frozen drinks and gummy candies. Also has a habit of shapeshifting into important figures and doing bizarre things to stir the pot by causing scandals just for the lulz.

Specialist Skills: Espionage/Escapology; he's able to creep and go undetected. He prides himself in being able to get in and out with little sign left behind he was ever there save for the fact that whatever he's after being missing. Which leads to...

Thievery; A beloved skill of is and there nothing more thrilling than a successful heist. He knows the thieving standards of lock-picking, safe-cracking, evading alarms and cracking safes.

Acrobat/Parkour/Free Running; Life as a thief requires a lot of running and agility since he's almost always hauling ass for his life. He's very nimble and acrobatic, using that to is advantage in combat and making a getaway through complicated environments by climbing, flipping, sprinting and jumping across obstacles in his way.

Tinkerer; He's tech saavy mechanic often building or improving on gadgets to suit his needs. Some of his self improved/made gear include:

Cybershades: a tech set consisting of an earpiece that turns into a pair of shades with a wireless broadband computer network and a wrist watch that provides a holographic iconographic keyboard for language decryption. These shades can be interfaced with any external data network to further aid him in research for when he's on the go. These shades also allow him to view surroundings through various ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum, such as infrared and ultraviolet light.

Grappling Gloves: He also wears gloves that each contain a cable grappling device to scale walls and swing between buildings too far to be reached by sprint-jumping and makes a nice make-shift whip weapon in combat.

Taser Pogs: He also carries self-made taser disks. He's modified them and called them pogs because they often have some silly emblem on it like so as sort of his signature. He uses them to throw out and stun whoever is chasing him to earn himself more time for escape.

Also as basic combat skills and is a pretty decent shot with a hand gun. He wouldn't go around robbing people blind without knowing how to defend himself at least just enough for him to think up a plan of escape. He won't engage in a fight longer than he has to, especially if his opponent is more skilled in martial arts.

Mutation: Imperceptiblility; he'said able to completely mask his presence by rendering himself invisible along with psionically masking his mind, heat signature of, his odor, smell and voice.

To give people an idea of both what a character sheet would look like... and who the Iceman is I've polished up his sheet. There may be some minor edits, but this should all be mostly correct. Will be added to the creation section as well.

Wispyr

For double clarity in case it was missed... Iceman is not my character, but rather a central NPC figure who operates the Hellions and recruited them all. He's the thread that binds them.

Terian

Potentially interested, that being said, what kind of roles and tech base are we looking at here?  Generic Cyberpunk where the focus is on being sneaky and precise, or are there options for bringing in the Big Guns?
