The King's Champion

Once long ago and far away, the king decided to find which of his knights was indeed the best and worthy to be his champion.  However, after many turnaments and challenges he found that there were three knights who seemd equally strong and manly.

He called them before his court and shook his head.  "If one of you can prove that you are the best man, you will be the royal champion."

The first knight stepped forward and called for a piece of robe and a weight.  Then he dropped his trousers and tied a one pound weight to his manhood.  He groaned and struggled.  Sweat beeded on his forehead, but the weight rose. 

The men cheered!  The women swooned!  The band played patrotic music!

The second knight, looking a bit worried, stepped up and took a piece of rope as well.  Then he dropped his trousers and tied a two pound weight to his manhood.  He groaned and grunted and struggled.  Sweat beaded on his forehead but the weight rose.

The men cheered!  The women swooned!  The band played patrotic music!

The last knight looked quite nervious, but he steped up and took some rope as well.   He droped his trousers and tied on a five pound weight.  Then he groaned and grunted and struggled.  Sweat broke out and poured down his face but slowly the weight rose.

The men cheered!  The women swooned!  The band played patrotic music!

The king watched all three of them with a frown.  After the last knight's display he stood up and waved them away dismissively.  Then he stepped over, took the rope and a ten pound weight and dropped his trousers as well.  He tied the huge weight on and it sprang up with hardly any effort at all.

The men cheered!  The women swooned!  And the band played God Save the Queen!
