What do you mean Proxy settings problem?

Ok, it happened after my issue with a virus/malware that I've wiped off of here.

I had to change my Firefox Proxy settings to 'auto-detect for this network' so that my Firefox would even connect to the internet. And now all of a sudden it's connecting, but neither my YIM or MSN will connect with the internet, citing a Proxy problem, even clicking 'troubleshooting' on the MSN error box went all weird on the site itself, talking about Proxy settings.

I am left with a WTF kind of look.

I am computer illiterate.

I don't know where in each IM program specifically, but they also have their own proxy settings that might have gotten hijacked on your machine as well. If you see something like Network Settings / Use Proxy Server / SOCKS(maybe a number) options, that's what you are looking to turn off.
