Betrayed...but by who

[Lady Jenn]

"Like I said they give you free rein to use whatever means you deem necessary to complete your mission," he replied. "Clearly if you break the law then they aren't going to come rescue you but as long as you don't do anything crazy then you can deal with it as you see fit. They're often used if there are drug lords or terrorist leaders who need to be taken out but are in places a normal agent or a commando team would struggle to safely reach."

"Quite interesting. I wonder what it would be like to spend a day in their shoes. It must be tiring... When they complete a mission how much therapy do you think they go through?" She joked, knowing full well the amount of stress that type of work would put on somebody.

[Lady Jenn]

"Well its said a Terminator doesn't really HAVE a life," Turk replied. "Because they can never be sure when they'll be activated for a mission few can balance a home life with vanishing for days on end with little or no warning. Often their only contact with the outside world will be their handler, an agent who any missions will be passed to them through. I'm guessing that's what Fizz's job is, that would explain why she knows how to contact Tyler and Izzy doesn't."

"Well that's always a good point. Still it's always a good idea to get some therapy every once in a while. I am almost positive that I'll need some after this is over." She sighed, thinking about what life would be like if they actually succeeded in bringing Firebrand down.

[Lady Jenn]

"Tom doesn't mean to be angry with you," Turk said. "His sister and his nephew are all the family he has left, he tends to get quite protective at even the slightly hint either of them is in danger. Hell, I'd probably be like him if I thought someone was going to hurt someone I cared about." He was silent for a moment, checking they were taking the right course. "There should be a codeword on the piece of paper with Fizz's number," he said to Skylar, "a way of her knowing we're friendly without having to get inside the building first."

"Be my guest and take a look. Izzy just told me to tell Fizz that we were sent by her... I don't know what else to say." She said, unfolding the paper to glance it over.

[Lady Jenn]

"It just says tell her Ranger sent her," Turk said with a shrug. "Maybe its Izzy's callsign, if you just said to her that Izzy sent us then you could be referring to anyone, can't go around telling just anyone who Tyler is and what he's doing there."

"That's true... Didn't think of that, but now I kind of want to know the story behind that callsign. Sounds like it might be an interesting one."

[Lady Jenn]

"As a guy who grew up during the 90s I'd love to think she watched Power Rangers as a kid," he said with a laugh. "Sadly I suspect its got little or nothing to do with cult kids TV shows. We're almost there," he said, pointing to a small row of lights which were surrounded by a large patch of darkness."

"Back in my day the Power Rangers were cool... Nowadays they seem really lame." She laughed at the fact that she was barely even 20 years of age and yet technology had advanced quickly enough that she now had a back in the day. Her smile dropped as she saw the landing strip and she sighed. "Here we go."

[Lady Jenn]

He landed the aircraft, getting out and dialling the number for Fizz, hoping she wasn't at work.

"Its 11 at night, you better have a damn good reason for phoning me," came an irritable voice from the other end of the phone.

"My name is Turk, we need to speak to you. Ranger sent us." For a few moments there was silence from the other end.

"Meet me at Sheldon's Cafe," came the eventual reply. "Its on the corner of 34th and Leighton Street."

He hung up and suddenly clicked the car keys he had been holding in one hand, the lights on a sleek orange Lambourghini suddenly bursting into life.

"What do you think of the car?" he asked her.

"Cute color." She smiled, running a finger over the hood. "I wouldn't leave the keys unattended... I might accidentally slip them into my pocket." She winked and slid into the car with a huge smile. "So, what did Fizz say?"

[Lady Jenn]

"To meet her at Sheldon's Cafe," he said. "I'm surprised I've never met her, Sheldon's was my favourite cafe when I was growing up. At least it means I know where we're going without having to check a map or a GPS system."

"Interesting... Perhaps you did meet her and didn't realize it before. It's not like she is going to walk around with a sign that reads 'Hello my name is Fizz and I am a super secret spy'. We will just have to see about it when we get there now won't we?" She said, looking out the window. "We will just have to see."

[Lady Jenn]

"Well we're hardly blending into the background driving this car," he said with a laugh. They reached the cafe, seeing a young woman with bright blue hair sat near the window sipping from a coffee and reading a book. "So, which of us is going to go speak to her or shall we both go?" he asked.

"I think we should both go, just in case... I do look like my sister after all, don't want to give the wrong impression or anything." She smiled sheepishly, looking out the window at the woman. "Yeah, I don't want to go by myself..."

[Lady Jenn]

"She's a Terminator handler, the worse she can do is shoot us for trying to blow Tyler's cover..." he paused, laughing slightly nervously. "Okay, point taken. You go over to the table, I'll get us a couple of drinks. Otherwise we're going to look really out of place in there."

"So you want me to go and sit at a table with some stranger I have never met before, looking like a bad guy if I might add, and just sit while you get drinks? Are you crazy?" She grimaced, looking at the terminator handler. "Just be quick about it." She snapped getting out of the car and walking at a steady pace to the table at which the woman sat. Taking a seat across from her she smiled brightly. "I like your hair."

[Lady Jenn]

"As weird as it sounds the weirder my hair colour is the less people notice me," the girl said, laughing as she put the book down on the table. "Fizz McIntyre," she said, offering a hand. "Officially I don't exist, unofficially I'm part of MI6. Although I'm guessing Izzy's told you that already if you used her old undercover codename."

"We also know about...you know who," Turk said as he came over with their drinks, aware that she might be wary to mention Tyler in public even to friends. "Turk Watson, I'm...well, technically I don't belong to an organisation, not any official one anyway."

"What about you?" Fizz asked Skylar. "You don't look much like a secret agent, not to me anyway."

"You would be right to think I wasn't an agent. I'm a soldier. I assume that you heard the news of the helicopter accident that resulted in the death of an entire squad? I was hand picked to go on that mission and just after touchdown the thing exploaded. I was a lucky survivor of an attack that none were meant to survive. My name is Skylar Brookes. It's nice to make your acquaintance."

[Lady Jenn]

"I heard about it," she said with a grimace. "Someone I cared about a lot was on that helicopter. MI6 wouldn't confirm he was dead but through...unofficial channels I discovered locals had ID'd his body from the wallet he still had on him. Since I'm guessing you're not here to talk to me you must be wanting Tyler."

"Well, Skylar wants to contact Tyler," Turk replied. "I'll let her explain, not sure its my place to say."

"Thanks Turk." She paused a moment, gathering her courage and picking her words carefully. "My sister, Maya, works for Firebrand and I need to get her out. Unfortuneatly she is at some "care home" that people believe is a deserted farm house... The only two residents are my sister and Tyler. It's urgent that I retrieve her and as far as I see it, Tyler is my only hope for the moment."

((I will brb... Have to get dinner.))

[Lady Jenn]

"That...might be a problem," Fizz said, moving slightly uncomfortably in her seat.

"We know about the guards," Turk said. "I'm sure with Tyler's help..."

"The guards aren't our problem," Fizz said, shaking her head. "There are hostages, Tyler wouldn't tell me who although he said Mandy knows who they are. Anyone tries to retrieve her and the hostages will be dead within hours. Believe me I've tried locating them but whoever abducted them is damn good at covering their tracks. Plus, there are...other problems."

Something in Skylar's stomach dropped with each word that Fizz spoke. "Other problems? What do you mean?" She shifted uncomfortably in her seat looking from Turk to Fizz. "What else could possibly be a problem that isn't already?"

[Lady Jenn]

"She's his target isn't she?" Turk asked, grimacing as Fizz nodded. "There's a reason they're called Terminators Skylar, they're only deployed when they have a target that has to be dealt with permanently."

"His orders are simple," Fizz said. "Act as her bodyguard for as long as she needs it, but if it becomes clear the hit on the President is going ahead then he has orders from MI6 that she has to be dealt with. He has two sets of bullets: one is equipped with an antidote which they hope will cancel out the serum. I don't need to tell you what the other bullets are."
