Celestial Goblin

Grasping the balance between being able to survive and still a typical human is key to a game like that.
A doctor with military training but no practical experience will be an interesting concep.
"You're supposed to know how to shoot!"
"Yeah, but i'm not a damn butcher, it is, at least it WAS a kid..."
"Youre also a doctor, shouldn't you be used to corpses?"
"I was a FAMILY doctor your heartless bastard!"
"It saw us!"

My char's gonna be that woodsman i guess, though he'll be in the city to enjoy life, and won't need his chainsaw with him...

Natalie C. Barney

Heh she would have been in war games at the end of boot camp so can at least shoot some, I would say maybe in the old rules 2 dots since she would have used a rifle more than just a shooting range. Plus as a hobby she could enjoy hunting so could hit moving targets at least slow moving zombies- fast moving zombies will have problems. But would you want the only medical doctor to get killed I think your going to keep her nice and safe.

Oh would opne of you like to play her lover- preferably a woman? [Why do you think she left the marines?]

For her military specialty I'll look a good one up.

In nWoD. You get three specialities at creation.

And in nWoD. You do not need an ability at 4 to take a specialty.

You know, it's rather reasonable for her to be an accurate shot, but not used to killing. Even 3 dots are reasonable. My char might be an oaf and blatantly make advances despite the lack of compatibility. It will keep the party relations nicely tense and nervous.

ZK

It all depends on how important she took her training. A usual 2 dots would be profficient enough for a Doctor's case. And usually, whilst being a doctor. They give you mainly sidearms training before the actual rifle training. They're taught to survive on the frontlines. Not to be an actual rifleman on the frontlines.

It also is determined about how much usage she kept the abilities afterwards. Did she keep the training or did she force it from her mind?

As for the relationship thing goes. I'd prefer it to be that everyone are strangers. To build more suspense.

Well I found her MOS I went for a nice one that would be normal for a woman soldier going for the US Marine Corp: Field Communications Specialist. They operate radios and other systems, maintain and repair them and handle scrambling of sensitive communications. So I would think that would work and they are more aggressive in boot so she would have had extra experience in combat situations. Plus with a college degree first would generally go to NCO school for corporal. And Family Practitioners that are board certified would be very heavily educated just is much more broad even would have surgical training just not ADVANCED so can for example remove bullets if not lodged anywhere sensitive. But in this setting you need a broadly educated doctor not a specialist, I could be a Podiatrist that could be funny? A bullet if its not in his foot your out of luck now that infected toenail I can handle. LOL

No the Board Certified Family Physician would be better.  ;D

Well, the city I decided to use is Atlanta. Those who has never been there. To sum it up, it isn't a bum-shit redneck town. It's more like LA meets New Orleans. (Well, since the hurricanes, that's become more of a truth)

Oh no Zombie red-neck hick zombie hoards, ok first we kill the New Orleans vodoo people that moved to Atlanta first clearly they did something bad! *loads her hunting rifle* LOL  ;)

On the plus side we might get a New Orleans Chef with luck so the food might be good.

Well, my char will be certainly not have his neck in the colour of crimson. He might do a job where he meets a lot of such types, but at least there's a chance of meeting somebody civilized in the city...
A week to have fun in Atlanta, no smelly people from the lumber mill, no crazy sherrif, no annoying hunters that treat forest as an amusement park... And that indian guy who bugs people until he gets booze...
Damn, it's time to see some normal folks again.

(oh how wrong he was.)

We just have Six Flags, world's largest aquarium and oh, the CDC main facility and storage here. ^_^

Also, if people were wondering about their gunlaw. You have to be eighteen or older to buy a shotgun or rifle and it's ammunition. You have to be twenty-one or older to buy a handgun and it's ammunition.

As for both of them. It takes an one to two day FBI and GBI check to see if you can indeed purchase guns.

Of course, there is always the black-market.

Muse

Why do I keep thinking of the movie "Death Becomes Her" and the plastic surgeon who could win dart championships wiht scalpels?  ;)

I'll probably hold out for a nWoD game where I can play a mage or werewolf, if the werewolves are still of intrest to me, but I keep thinking about a skater guy or a young man who with a mideval lit degree, hugely popular in the SCA but works as a gas station atendent in the real world.  ;)

Well, as things look, perhaps we'll have to host the nWoD game on another forums board due to certain rules, if not, I will in fact ask for a spot for it in "Normal Games". I'm already completely planned and whatnaught. ^_^

As for the other nWoD game, It's still in concept stages of "Where, When and What" more then the "Who and Why" sections of the game.

So, give me a bit and we'll see. ^_^

Well, if Angel and the Dark Lord are around to help, then I'm just going to have to join in whatever site you're on Zulo......I just crave the attention of two of my most favourite men.....*sigh*

Awwwww. I liked the idea of a mortal zombie fighting game. Just saw LAND OF THE DEAD and it was so full of cool ideas.

Sure, we'll wait.
But i really think that the rules are about sexual gore being banned, not gory fighting.
Hmm, so you have two games in mind?

strangely made

If there's space DZK, i'd like to play ..........Probably something alaong the lines of a normal bloke whos scared shitless but wants to survive.

Natalie C. Barney

Actually gore is allowed, just not violent gore with sexual overtones included. If I read the site rules right.

Yeah, otherwise there would be problems with 'i hack the orc with my sword' gaming.
We're not having such plans about the zombies, don't we?
*coughs nervously*
Yeah, asking just in case.

ZK

Okay then, I'll get the game going. And yes, I'm currently still accepting "applications" to the game. But, as for the premise. I want "Normal" people, not some super-human undead slayer. As for the prelude. It all starts with a bar crowd (So everyone should be 21 or at least with a fake ID to get into a bar) on New Years Eve. Right when hell breaks loose.

Then at the end, we transfer it to an adult game after all the killing is done for a survivor orgy!
