ADWARE/CrossRider.Gen2   Anybody heard of it?  What's the best way to get rid of it?  I'm using Avira now, and the damned thing just keeps moving I think.

You might want to get 'Spybot: Search and Destroy' - It's a free and rather hefty program for dealing with this sort of thing. It takes care of most of what I run into. At any rate, most Adware is relatively harmless - I believe my laptop was stuck with Crossrider for a while and it didn't really do anything, since my Adblock took care of the ads it wanted to show me.

A nice combo I like to use for my machines is AVG 2014 Free + Zonealarm Firewall, then Spybot: Search and Destroy to deal with anything either of those can't handle.
