I said just a few days ago my suspicions were with you Mith, and only now after we lose a great number of loyal people do people listen. But late is better than never, and I am glad to see you finally receive that which you deserve.

"I still believe that Mithlomwen has something to hide from us," Caeli murmured with soft conviction.

Mith looked around to the others and pointed to Caeli.  "Does no one see the deception here?  Caeli announced herself as the Weaponsmaster early on in the game....and I have reason to believe she is not telling us the truth.  I believe it is in fact HER that has something to hide, not myself." 

[SleepyWei]

"I agree with the majority. Perhaps Mithlomwen indeed has something to hide?"

[Ryven]

This majority of votes is causing me to think otherwise.  Either Mith is not a rebel or the rebels are willing to sacrifice one of their own.

[Caeli]

Caeli raised an eyebrow. "I did not such thing, unless being the Guildmaster of the Weaponsmith's guild has recently become the qualification for being the weaponsmaster. I am but a loyal Councilor, and more and more your words lead me to believe that you've something to hide."

[desert ashes]

"I place my vote with the majority -- Mithlomwen."

[Mithlomwen]

Looking at Ryven she nodded her head and shrugged her shoulders.  "I keep trying to tell you that I am no rebel, but no one will believe me.  So when you all wrongly send me to the gallows, and it is proven that I am merely one of the Queen's loyal subjects, you will be bringing the rebels one step closer to victory." 

She turned her head away from the rest of the group, growing silent now as she figured no argument would sway them otherwise.  They were all convinced that she was a rebel, so only her death was going to prove to them that she was not. 

[Ryven]

It appears I can trust no one.  If there is but one certainty in this entire endeavor, it is uncertainty.

[sinera]

sinera cannot but shake her head. "Mithlomwen convinced me early on that she was not a rebel, though I do find it interesting that all her other allies have abandoned her. However, even though my vote isn't going to make a difference, I yield to the majority. For what it's worth, I am sorry, Mith."

Mithlomwen quietly but firmly protested her innocence, but all her arguments were for nothing.  She was taken to the block, where so many of her compatriots had lost their lives, and joined them in death with one swift blow of the headsman's axe.  Another Councilor was gone.

Now their numbers were too few to shield their young Queen from the Rebels.  They moved openly now, seizing the throne and putting their own ruler in the Queen's place -- a cousin of hers, a wild young man, known to be far more interested in ladies than in ruling the land.  But he was willing to let the remaining rebels guide him, and with their powerful backing, none dared to oppose the new ruler too openly.

In the strictest secrecy, however, just before all was lost, those few loyal councilors that remained spirited the Queen away to safety in a distant land.  Perhaps, someday, she might reclaim the throne that was rightfully hers...

I kept guarding people I thought might be councilors, but they were never attacked.

That last night was just awful, you were so close.  The Rebels were debating back and forth between Ket and you; and just after you decided to guard yourself that night, they settled on Ket.  I felt the frustration on your behalf.  :(
