Twisted Crow

I'll be playing it on my Xbox1 in an hour and a half. A friend wants me to stream it on Twitch, even. :)

Ironwolf85

Penumbra, I'm doing a let's play of it.

Also looking forward to Darkest Dungeon

Rented (yes that's still a thing here) The Walking Dead game. Honestly kind of split on it. It has its good moments but is extremely slow paced, and I have a feeling its going to end with a cliffhanger, which will be annoying.

Galactic Druid

I'll be following people's opinions on Type-0 here, as I've been trying to decide on whether to go for that one. I want to give it a go, but I have a real love/hate relationship with Final Fantasy sometimes...

Revelation

I had played type 0 before it got announced for localization by SE.

In my opinion it's the best FF in a long time.

I'm a little, ok a lot out of the loop. Is Type O available on PS3 and is it online only? Please say yes and no in that order. lol

Oreo

Sorry, only available on XBone or PS4, single player game.

Well thats a bummer. I'm a FF fan but can't upgrade yet

Oreo

The only way I managed was on no interest credit. >.<

Yeah, I was pretty happy. Shame I can't afford to go try to make them buy me a PS4 too.

I actually got my Xbone in a summer radio giveaway last year. The funny thing about that is that I was actually trying to be a cheapskate and win a $10 ticket to their 80s throwback cover band festival.

The really sad thing is how much more satisfied I've been with the Xbone over my PS4, which I had to scrimp and save for. The controller for that thing is amazing, and even works with steam. The whole having exclusives worth playing thing is nice too.

That's an endorsement I can get behind. Out of curiosity, what did you think of the first XIII? Also, hey Saint, been way too long!

Personally I really didn't enjoy 13 much at all. I didn't really like the combat that much, the story felt fairly lackluster and at pretty limited in scope and the only character I liked was Sazh. Overall, FF13 really disillusioned me on Square-Enix's quality pretty heavily. They have released some games i'd consider quality since then, but i've been wary of buying from them since.

Edit: Not to mention i've been rather unhappy with some of squares tactics and/or localization efforts (Or lack thereof) for some of their games. but that doesn't specifically tie into 13.

Spoony Bard!

Believe it or not, I personally really enjoyed XIII. I understand why so many people didn't, but there was something about that game's pacing and setting that made me unable to give up on it. I love those kinds of magic-fused tech settings.

Speaking of, anyone else here excited about the new Torment game coming out set in the Numenera unimultiverse? I am so pumped about that, Numenera is easily in my favorite tabletop games.

Heeeeeey. if square doesn't want the west to get Dragon quest 7 on the 3DS with Nintendo offering to publish it for 'em, that's on Square! Same with not giving us Type 0 for 4 years :x.

If someone likes 13, that's cool. It's just not my game. I found a game like Xenoblade Chronicles to be a much better FF game than 13, was all. I have Numenera backed, but I admit i'm gonna remain wary of it till I have it in my hands. (Metaphorically speaking as i'm getting a digital copy)

Galactic Druid

Xenoblade was great, I'm considering getting a New 3DS to play it again.

I have ridiculously high hopes for Torment, especially with Fallout's Brian Fargo at the helm.

It's funny. Final Fantasy 13 basically turned me off of Japanese markets nearly wholesale. I still buy a few here and there, but they're ones no one would dispute were crafted specifically for Western audiences.

I'm not disparaging anyone for enjoying any game, but 13 was a big spoonful of disillusionment. Kind of makes me see the Japanese market as the weakest runner in the video game markets.
If you're searching the lines for a point, well you've probably missed it; there was never anything there in the first place.

Type-0 is holding up to be amazing for the few minutes I've played.  A friend of mine finished the XV demo and had little to no complaints so I am looking forward to playing it to completion later tonight.

I know very little about XV so far, when it comes to RPGs, I try to ignore them beyond review scores, since so many sites are just terrible about spoilers. I know I'll give it a chance unless the reviews just tank, so I don't really want much more.

At the start of XV the game is a little odd, once you get used to the combat and that you have to camp to get your xp totaled up and levels gained the game becomes a little bit easier.

Arrrggg, I want to play so bad, but I can barely sit up tonight.

Talking in this Thread is really giving me a Final Fantasy bug. I think I may need to cave and give Type-0 a shot on payday. I've got a HUGE overtime bonus coming in, I need to decide how to spend it.
