Luckily Miranda had the nerve to calm down enough for her to realise that there was simply too much blood for all of it being Melissa´s. And Melissa certainly didn´t have a tatoo.

Lifting the covers of the bed so she could see better, Miranda slowly crouched down next to the bed but far enough away in case of the pale arm still being alive.

The smell of fading glamour and the appearance of the mortal seeming shows Miranda that it was another fae that had met her unfortunate end. Miranda recognised Waif, a fellow slaugh that she had dealt with several times before, trading secrets. She specialised in moving along the immigrant families and the seedier clubs, which made her black-dyed hair and tattooed body a necessity. An expression of agony was locked forever on Waif's face, claw-marks dug deep inside her body. It was difficult to tell if the Slaugh had crawled under the bed to hide or to die.

Miranda sighed deeply and pulled down the bloodied covers to hide her fallen kin out of respect. She would have to call her uncle, ask for help to clean up. And she would have to tell him that his youngest niece was kidnapped.

Shaking her head Miranda got up, scribbling down a couple of notes to not forget them. What was Waif doing here anyway? She was not the kind of person that just happened by, especially not at this hour. Miranda would have to enquire a bit about this, the sooner the better.

Finishing up in Melissa´s room, checking so that she had not forgotten anything or missed something, Alessandra went out in the living room, pouring herself a whiskey before picking up the phone to call her uncle.

Glancing outside, Miranda could see claw marks running up the building to her ruined window, and a large number of broken branches, hanging in the foilage below.

Once the fae called her uncle, the phone rang three times before being picked up. "..Hello?" Asked her uncle's voice in a half-drunk slur.
