It seems like the roster of rebels must be filling out fairly well at this point.  Is there any room for PC controlled villains or is that purely going to be GM territory for this one?  I wouldn’t mind playing a space Nazi Imperial or two, even if it was just a limited sort of deal.  :-)

I could use imperial test subjects on which to do unethical mad science on ... muhahahahaha

BlackStone

Or the Imperials can interrogate and torture some rebel prisoners before we execute them.

Should have my character up in a bit.

RedEve

Nice work on the characters so far folks.

I am going to be rather busy today and tomorrow, so I hope to start the OOC thread on Friday.
I'm aiming to start the IC thread this weekend.

Name:  Aran Vos

Age:   24

Species: Kiffar

Gender:  Male

Height:   6'3

Weight:  240lbs

Abilities:   Melee & Ranged Combat Mastery, Wetworks, Infiltration, Subterfuge, Interrogation, Piloting, Cooking

Specialty:  Combat Specialist/Battle Tactician

Equipment:  Extensive Cybernetic Implants, Collapsible Force Pike, Knuckle Plate Vibro Blade(2x), DC-17m ICWS, DC-15s Side Arm(2x), Body Armor

Biography:   Aran was born into Clan Vos on the plant Kiffu located on the Inner Rim. His father was the current Sheyf of the Kiffu Guardians, and as such Aran was raised to lead from a young age. Private tutoring, combat training, politics, etc... He was taught all of these things rigorously to make sure he would be a good Clan Leader. He excelled in his studies, and seemed to be on the fast track to success.

However he never got to make his father proud, and he never got to lead his people. On a routine supply run that his father Krellan thought would be good to ride along with to show his son how things worked, they were attacked by Imperials. His father had never been a fan of the Empire even though the Kiffar people were human enough to be forcefully annexed into the Empire. Apparently him speaking out against the Empire in what he thought was the privacy and safety of a few friends around the Sabaac table...wasn't.

He was betrayed by a man who wanted more power than he saw himself able to attain through simple hard work. The Imperials hit them fast and hard, disabling their ship with a quick barrage of Ion Blasts. It didn't take long for them to board, and once they were inside the skills of the Guardians didn't seem to matter against the sheer numbers of the Stormtroopers. Men he'd trained with, who'd been like family to him were cut down before his very eyes because the Imperials didn't seem to understand the concept of mercy or even simply focusing on the person they'd come for.

They just killed everyone. Aran managed to kill four before a stun bolt knocked him unconscious. He awoke in a cell with his father, who was badly beaten, but still alive. He explained the reason why was because the Moff assigned to finding him, Brelkin, wanted to torture and kill him personally. Brelkin had been aboard the ship, and he was the one who stunned Aran. Several hours later, Brelkin arrived and had both father and son taken to the torture chambers. He took great joy in trying to break Krellan, but less when the man refused to divulge any information.

After making Aran watch his father being slowly tortured to death, Breklin informed the young man of sixteen that he had impressed him when they stormed the ship. As such, he would be given an opportunity to escape his fathers fate. Join the Empire willingly, or die. What choice did he have? If he died, that wouldn't solve anything. He needed to live; his father would want him to live. He accepted the terms, but just to make sure, Brelkin made sure his training was extra difficult and something akin to brainwashing.

For two years he was put through grueling training to make him even better at killing, and when he turned 18, he was given his first assignment and posting. He was with a small wetworks squad deployed in the Outer Rim. Their job was simple. Eliminate anyone in their power found guilty of going against the Empire in any way. He was a very efficient soldier, and his higher ups quickly noticed just how ruthless he could be. He hated every moment, but what choice did he have? Brelkin always kept a close eye on him as he was something of a twisted project for the man.

He saw Aran's potential true, but he also loved seeing what Krellan had left behind and seeing the barely restrained pain and resentment in his sons eyes when he looked at his killer and was forced to acknowledge him as his master. For five years Aran unwillingly served the Empire, yet excelled due to the realization that his death would be immediate if he failed. And during those five years, Brelkin kept a hawk eye on him. Finally one day, Aran was informed that he'd been chosen for a procedure that would make him an even better soldier. He was told only the best were given this treatment.

What he wasn't told was that it was still highly experimental, and the odds of survival were extremely low, even for someone like him. It didn't really matter though, as it wasn't like he had much choice in the matter. Also to make matters even more painful.

Because the body and brain reacted differently to stimuli when asleep as opposed to being awake...they couldn't sedate him for the procedure. Even with the small bit of anesthetic he was given, he could feel them cutting him open. Shoving cybernetics into his body. He watched as they were implanted into his eyes. The entire procedure took place over the course of three days as they crammed every type of cybernetic he could handle into him.

At the end, he finally passed out from the agony. They left him in a Bacta tank for a week to recover, and thankfully most of his scars healed. After a recovery period, he was put right back to work and was tested to see how he took to the implants. He performed beyond expectations and was considered a resounding success. But he'd finally had enough. Being turned into a guinea pig on subtle threat of death was the straw that broke the Nerf's back.

On his next assignment, he killed the three soldiers with him and disappeared. They'd worked together for years so they didn't expect for him to turn on them...it was actually pretty easy. He resurfaced several months later on Kevaan III looking for work. He'd become highly successful as a Merc & Bounty Hunter in his short time since leaving the Empire, and people this far out were willing to pay top credits for the type of services he could provide with no questions asked. He found himself in Ventra Kazar, and after getting paid rather well to negotiate a hostage release.

He decided to spend his hard earned money at a cantina. Jack-A-Dale was the first one he saw, and he spent most of the night there, drowning himself in women and booze. Apparently a regular didn't like that Aran had taken his usual booth though, and decided to raise a fuss about it. Aran wasn't in the mood for bullshit, so he floored him and his friends, then went back to his drinks.

A few minutes later, Aekar Paguo came over and introduced himself as the owner. Aran didn't want more trouble than he already had, so he paid off his bill and prepared to leave. Until Aekar asked him to come into the back room and discussed his skills. They'd been in need of a good Security Chief, and the Dathomirian liked what he saw in Aran. It wasn't as well paying as mercenary work, but it was also less dangerous and less likely to get him found out. He agreed. He was also informed that Aekar was a member of the Rebellion. If he hadn't been convinced to work with him before, knowing he could strike back against those who'd done him and his family and his people so wrong pushed him across that threshold.

Just some good natured Imperial officials who have your best interests at heart.   :P

Major Zeera Helflux

Name: Major Zeera Helflux

Age: 29

Species:   Human

Gender: Female

Height: 5’7”

Weight: 121 lbs.

Abilities:  Multilingual, Intelligence Gathering, Interrogation, Torture, Counterespionage, Loyalty Discernment, Narcotics/Pharmacology

Specialty: Imperial Intelligence

Equipment: As a high ranking officer in the Imperial Intelligence bureau, Zeera has access to a wide range of equipment.  If it is available to be had on Keevan III, even if only to Imperial officials of rank and privilege, she can likely get it.  On her person she normally carries a light blaster pistol as part of her military uniform, typically travels with an armed escort, and often makes use of droids of varying types to help with translation, interrogation, data analysis, and to otherwise serve her every need.

Biography: Zeera is the fifth and youngest child of Moff Ansiv Helflux, a figure well-known in The Colonies for his shockingly brutal policies in putting down civil unrest and strangling any hints of indigenous insurrection in the crib through mass arrests and disappearances.   His children have followed in his footsteps with Zeera gravitating towards Imperial Intelligence over her more militaristic siblings, looking less towards the glory of conquest and victory in combat, than the sublime satisfaction of destroying the enemy’s morale, instilling hopelessness in their hearts, while weeding out traitors from within.  Serving with some distinction in her home world of Ralltiir where she helped expose and exterminate a number of rebel cells, she made the mistake of refusing the advances of a senior officer in a very public way.  The result was a ‘promotion’ to the relative backwater that is Keevan III, where she now assists General Vathaan in seeing that the planet remains firmly in Imperial control and quashing any rumors that there is an increasing rebel presence in Ventra Kazar.  Privately, Zeera hopes the rumors are true though and that she can oversee the rebels’ capture personally, impressing her task masters back home and perhaps paving way for a return to a post someplace nearer the Inner Rim, which is to say true civilization.  In the meantime she is of course sending regular reports to Imperial Intelligence about her commanding officer and his diligence in dealing with these threats to the Emperor’s just and proper rule…or his lack thereof.

Zeera Helflux is a determined dogged talented counterintelligence agent, a ruthless enemy with little empathy for others, an arrogant scion of wealth and privilege, a virulent bigot against lesser species much like her father, and a thorough sadist who never tries of hearing the screams and pitiful pleas of those who cross the Empire.  Or her.

Commander Tark Wasso

Name: Commander Tark “Bloodfang” Wasso

Age: 52

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Height: 6’2”

Weight: 196 lbs.

Abilities: Heavy Blaster, Light Blaster, Military Command, Heavy Vehicles, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Heavy Artillery

Specialty: Armored Division Commander

Equipment: As a field commander in the Imperial Army, Tark has access to a wide range of equipment and the full support of the military garrison on Keevan III.  He typically wears heavy blast armor and operates heavy blaster carbines when engaged in combat.  He also has his own personalized armored unit known as the Bloody Twelfth, a mix of AT-ATs, AT-STs, and hover-tanks, some of his men taking to painting the hulls or their helmets with the red fang that is their trademark.

Biography: Tark is a native of Keevan III, a former careerist in the military of little distinction -- known best for having nearly earned court martial for assaulting his fellow officers and cadets on several occasions -- who was among the very first to turn coats to the Empire when Imperial troop carriers arrived on planet.  He assisted in pointing out and rounding up local Republic officials and commanders still loyal to the old order, easing the transition of their military overseer.  His quick and vocal allegiance to the Imperial cause saw him rising rapidly in the ranks, and he is one of the few natives of the planet to hold high rank in the Imperial garrison.  He is no less brutal for that fact however and has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most feared figures in General Vathaan’s army.  He earned his unique sobriquet after putting down an uprising in the southern port of Jorul Kazar.  After forty-eight hours of constant artillery bombardment, reducing most of the city to rubble, his men then stormed the streets, engaging in a butchery not seen on the planet in centuries, some of the survivors reporting bodies left strewn in the streets that looked as though they’d been torn to pieces by wild animals.  Thus Bloodfang.

Tark and his men have committed several other smaller atrocities since then to the point that his name alone is often enough to instill fear in the General’s enemies.  Just the threat of loosing his dog on the populace is usually sufficient to bring even the most rebellious subjects in line.  Tark is very likely one of the most hated men on the planet…and the most feared.  He is ruthless, cruel, stubborn, crude, and above all violent.  He is not without a certain low cunning, however, and has surprised his opponents more than once through his quick thinking… and utter cruelty.
