    Those that are packless are called mutts.   Mutts are usually hunted down for they usually succumb to feeding on humans.    For most mutts are not born as a werewolf but instead turned into one with being infected by the saliva of a werewolf bite.   One that does not kill them.    Again as with births of male sons inheriting.    A male is better suited to surviving the change.   A female werewolf is indeed a rare occasion.   

    Candice Tunnery grew up with her mom and father separated since she was little.  When she was five years old.   Her father left,  leaving just her and her mother and brother of seven.   For nearly  a dozen years they  had no contact with their father.   Then when her brother turned eighteen he showed up.    She wanted nothing to do with him.   He had no right coming back into their lifes.    But her brother to her dismay left with him.
