Okay, here's a bizarre news piece from over here...

A situation: in one Polish city, in one of the local branches of one bank (whose name has been withheld), a phone rung. When the branch employees answered it, they heard:

- Hello, this is the police. We're conduncting a special operations against a group of criminals. We require your bank's cooperation - specifically, we need to borrow a large amount of cash. In a few minutes, one of our officers will arrive, we require you to give him the amount of money he needs.

And the bank employees replied to that:

- Sure, no problem!

Not too long later, a man dressed in a police officer's uniform entered the bank and was presented by the bank employees with a package of cash worth around, oh, $50 000. He took the money and left the bank with no incident. Never to return, of course...

Seriously, how naive can you be...???  :o

Pipe Bombs hidden in a trash can exploded in New Jersey targeting people in a race. No injuries/fatalities.

Thank God there were no injuries or deaths as the bomb went off to early and none of the runners had reached the area yet.

Yeah NK has been a problem for decades and the news is always the same old flavour of boring shit.

I'm not terribly excited by anyone getting nukes though that doesn't already have them.

Stumbled on that one after another member here got into a private discussion with me about Hart and his eighties bids to become the democrat nominee for president. Notice the date of that article - the prediction came true only a week later, and the rest of his conclusions also ring true, with a distance of fifteen years.   :-(

(There were other people who suggested that some kind of massive terrorist attack was coming soon, Richard Clarke for example, but I've rarely seen it put so clearly, and in print, before things went red).

Sad thing is...I kind of believe him, but im not really afraid of the attack believe it or not.

I don't feel fear whenever I hear a terror threat, iv e grown numb to it, im not even all that afraid of my own death. What I am afraid of is the death of Freedom. Everytime something like this happens, we tighten our grip on society for security, chocking out more personal freedoms.

And ive sadly found myself welcoming it sometimes.
