Shadowrun 4th Edition: Dunklezahn's Blood

After the last run, Miss Johnson had offered to take them out to dinner and said they could call her Shanon.

It was their 12th job working for her unkown employers.  This one was lucky thirteen.

The petite but fit and sexy Chinese girl waved the twin orcs, each girl a skilled gun fu artist they knew from experience with having their drops ambushed, outside and had a seat at their table after offering a bow that tossed her hair.  "Thank you all for sticking with us this far.  You've earned our trust in you, and we're prepared to begin investing a great deal more in your services.  The coming mission will be long and dangerous.  We mean to pay you 50,000 new yen to accept it, and another 250,000 if you complete it.  I know that's enough money to scare any number of veteran shadowrunners, but not only have you proven your worth, this is also a mission that could require multiple stages and take several months.  It should test the full array of your abilities.

"Fortunately, the first part should be fun."

"I've learned to count on you, but I won't tell you the exact objective 'til you've agreed to the mission, but I will tell you some of what it entails.

"I won't tell you exactly what we're looking for 'til I've given you some idea what you're dealing with."

She passed around a set of microCDs marked Briefing A.  Her own trid display ran the CD, showing a 3-D model of a comely red haired human woman.

"There's a party being held at the uptown Hiat, a meet and greet between the local office and the home office.

"This is Miika Shirona, a computer guru who does brilliant things with both security programming and expirmanetal science scenarios.  She's a well known bisexual, so any one of you has a chance of working your wiles on her.

"And this," a new image shimmered into existence, "Is Miika's twin brother Lance.  Minimal combat abilities, but considered by his employers to be an extremely valuable geneticist.  He started his career working on biotechnology, but has since branched out into genetic engineering and cloning.

"We believe he keeps personal back ups of information nessicary to identify something we wish to acquire.  However the data is coded and split between the computers of brother and sister.  We believe the most efficient way to access the nessecary data is to infiltrate the escort service hired to entertain at the party, seduce them, and steal the nessicary information while they sleep."

Not even a peep?  Am I loosing my touch?

I might give this a try, but I'm unsure what sort of character to play (and it doesn't much matter if no one else is interested)...

Wow.  There really aren't that many worthwhile character types in this game.  Lemme think on this...

Well I have been making an adept Face character, but that doesn't exclude you from doing an adept, or magician, or anything else.

Almost finished writing him up, and out. The numer crunching in this game, especially if you are not deliberately trying to munch, is horrible.

the no decker part astounds me...  kinda makes me sad.

"Hackers" are pretty much the same thing as deckers (except that the Matrix is now wireless) anyway.  The terminology doesn't make much difference.

Not quite sure. I am playing a male Adept. We have Sereph looking into a technomancer. I think we have another Adept coming up and a possible mage. Pretty much the field is yours to choose from.

On another note.. I came up with the following spell, using the Street Grimore rules.. if your worried about gender inequalities, maybe it could help.

Self Designed Spell - Manipulation,  Physical, Range - Touch, Body Resists, Duration - Permanent || Name: Sex Change || Drain: (F / 2)

This spell does nothing but permanently alters the targets sex, turning males into females, and females into males..  It doesn’t alter attributes or anything else.. But the change is total, and true, a male turned female can indeed get pregnant and bear a child, and a female turned male can impregnate a female as any male can.  It is completely ineffective on a pregnant female

I don't really do well with large groups.  When you have 5-6+ players, it's pretty much impossible to not be redundant without playing something grossly suboptimal (*coughEpicIntelligencecough*).

I remember I was still struggling very hard with the Shadowrun system.  I know it a lot better now. 

I also remember that the time I was trying too run our poor hacker got into an erotic cyber combat with no combat programs whatsoever and that was as far as we got.  Was that this attempt?

tbh.....don't remember that....I was waiting forever for the person that wanted to play my sister. And then waited even longer for the run to begin. As far as we got was the Johnson meeting....
