So, last time I've seen an Indian movie, it usually just had a lot of dancing and singing in it.

Clearly something happened since then...

Anyone know the name of what I suppose is a ridiculously awesome movie?

Google says Singham 2011, although I saw something similar in R.E.D. with Bruce Willis pewpew'ing as usual.

Reminds me of that .gif of the cop who plays hackey-sack with his pistol clip for a few seconds before kicking it into some guy's face.

So lulzy it's awesome.

Thanks, Elenwe :)
I think I'll go and see if I can find it.

It's just so over the top that it's probably the best mindless movie to watch.

That is just AWESOME!  Please, is it that film?

So I make a A&A thread but do I put it here?  No.  Of course not.

Also, I now come with Kung-Fu Blog action.  Here:  Where I talk about comics and all sorts of gaming

Found the clip I was thinking of. Apparently it's from a Swedish comedy.

Impossible.

A movie that awesome cannot exist.

Ong Bak hasn't graced your television, I take it.

And everything has to be bigger and better choreographed than anyone else's. ;)

Into the queue it goes, though I'm very much afraid nothing could live up to that trailer.

Howbout the movie from which this selection of action sequences is taken?

At some point with the huge robot I expected Godzilla to appear! It was funny anyway and Aishwarya Rai is as pretty as always.

Shjade

Honestly, Ong Bak's overrated. A couple of good fight moments doesn't make up for the excessive double/triple repetition of things as awesome as "guy jumping over a fruit cart." Really? We needed to see him jump over a cart two more times before the chase scene could go on? In slow motion? Why?

It's an okay action flick, but hyped far more than it deserves.

Also, it's a Thai movie. Not Indian.

Heh, yeah, the bullet time replays overdid it more then Power Rangers, and THEY know how to flog a shot like a still warm but not breathing horse. Still, that fire kick scene was worth a whole movie >.> Oh noes, my legs are covered in burning petrol! What is the most logical course of action in this most dangerous situation? FLAMING HURRICANE KICK!

Not a Devil

So it seems no one's heard of Chiranjeevi here? Seriously, name any hollywood star-- he's got nothing on this guy. He skids under trucks on horses, jumps with tractors as if they were bicycles....

(since I can't post vids, search up his name on youtube =P)

Jacqueline

Tom Cruise keeps doing all the action scenes himself (I just saw what he did on the last Mission Impossible, and he's on his 50's!), and I think that the blonde 007 has a tendency for little accidents while filming.

Lilias

MI 3 was filmed in 2005, when Cruise was just 43. :-) Though actors who do their own stunts deserve respect at whatever age. Getting killed in action (literally!) is as probable in your 20s as in your 50s.

No, no, I meant the new one, MI4 it's called... Ghost Protocol I think.

Lilias

Ah, didn't know there was a new one slated. Been a long time. I'm gonna see it out of principle (big fangirl that can't miss anything MI), but also for Simon Pegg's scenes, psycho that he is. Look up Hot Fuzz for some impossible stunts. Not necessarily wow-spectacular, just... impossible.

Yup I love most Tom Cruise movies, I can't help it. I will look up that one, the trailer looks funny.

Sabby

Ya know why he's always running in his films?

Jacqueline

I don't know, because he's dodging paparazzi err, missiles and explosions?
