Not a clue what that even is, but I'll look into it.

Collegiate Arcanist

They get druid spells (of max wiz spell level -2), and a buncha other fun good-related goodies. Protection from evil! As a constant effect! Feat requirements less than awesome, but hey, is otherwise good class.

eBadger

Hmm...will ponder.  Not a bad class, although most of the requirements are meh.

And I'd have to be Good!

Dracorion

Pfft, who wants to be good? Being neutral or evil means you can take advantage of others.

eBadger

Or play pranks on them without that irritating twinge of guilt.

Muse

So, this is a wee hint of the hyperactive dwarf girl I'm working on:

Tarkanna's family were a low clan on the totem pole.  The dealt with outside.  They bread war mounts for alongside the mountain—great, fierce boars. They did mercenary work for human clients, and even pansy elves.

That’s reputation never so much bothered the Stoneskulls.  They work hard, fight hard, and love their family very much.

When Tarkana was a young solider, she captured some magical trophies from a goblin pyrotechnicst.  They were treatises on transcendental alchemy, along with some other trinkets.  She became very curious about the art, and eventually joined a mage guild to continue the study.

I've having trouble deciding honestly. A favorite of mine seems to be elf wizards, but a gnome illusionist sounds fun, then again a cleric of a magic deity could work too.

Muse

Cleric would be a roll no one else is filling, E.F.A.

And my alchemist wouldn't have to spend all her money on healing potions to keep us alive.  :P

Healing potions are a waste of gold. Better to buy a wand, and if 3.5 material is allowed, the Healing Belt from WotC's MiC is always a good decision. Might even go Mystic Theruge(sp)

It is! And we can keep the arcane trickster, because she's an air elementalish person. And because we might need one. Do we need more healing than my Wand of Infernal Healing? (hint hint. Maybe our kitsune transmuter could go Collegiate Arcanist, add druid spells to spell list.)

Yes, yes!  Can't forget the adorable Sylph Arcane Trickster  ;D

Again, A) I bought a wand of infernal healing. Like a wand of lesser vigor, best level 1 downtime heals.

B) Oracles also get the spontaneous cure/inflict and often allow for fun if you don't wanna be a cleric. Potions are bad.

Hmm maybe wizard/druid.

Edit: But if the guild is based in a city, not too sure how well that'd work.

Kizer Manawire has been completed... it kept deleting all my work :( mean website.

And hold on.. why am I left out of the harem... I'm imagining a random human watching the furry, scaly, fiery, elven fun and sulking now lol

Several problems with that character. There is no way you could afford a +4 int item, +4 dex item, and a +4 armor with 33,000 gold.

Zounds, indeed.

Also, it's very hard to find a decent non-animated image of a fox girl.

Urban Druid.

Yeah but the picture I had in mind doesn't really work with that. Of course the guild house could always be on the outskirts of the city, or the city includes a large forested park.

So, I mentioned this in PMs but never in the main thread:

Item creation feats specifically allow the player to start with spending the cost for an item instead of the normal price out of their starting gold.  However, I'm still capping that at only half of your starting gold can be spent on item cost, as the assumption is that you still need to do something to actually earn all that gold that doesn't involve sitting around crafting magic items all day.

Specifically, you can get both belts with +4 for 16k total, and spend another 17k on the armor (for both mithral material and the enchantment, which you can't make yourself, as that requires the Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat), but that puts you exactly at your limit, which means you can't learn any spells beyond the free ones you get each level.

Re Z L

Na'vi Liss is coming along, should be finished sometime tonight.

Could we have a bit more information about the starting area?

Sethala

Still working on it, but....

The guild is in a large city.  There are a few small parks in the city, but mostly it's just a lot of buildings.  The city itself is in a mostly flat plain, with some farmland nearby, and a large forest, with several main highways leading out to other cities.  The city's population is around 50,000 people living within the city walls, with about another 10,000 living in the nearby area.

There are two other guild branches in nearby small towns, each with a population of around 300, which are connected to the main guild house via teleportation runes.  Guild members are free to use them as necessary, and it's not uncommon for people in the small towns to come to the branch and ask a group to teleport out to help.  Your guild is the only guild in those towns, but there's four other major guilds in the large city, and a dozen or so smaller guilds.

I'll plan out more about the area in a bit.

EDIT: Aaaaaand guess who didn't see the GM's response to this.

Dracorion

Sorry, I was actually talking about myself with that edit. I had a response to Nicci there originally, and didn't see Sethala's.

Sethala

And some threads!

The only vote I saw for the guild's name was Nicci's "The Sultry Paw".  Everyone else OK with the name or want to propose a new one?

Yukina

I don't really have any other ideas, but "sultry paw" doesn't fit too well with our party.

I disagree. We have many sultry women, and we have someone with a paw. We could call it "The Pet Shop", as we have an ifrit, a catfolk, a merfolk, and a creepy guy. (All we need is a sentient plant and it could be the little shop of horrors.)
