Hey now. No gossiping about me. :P

My remark about it when my manager brought it up was along the lines of since other girls are allowed to read Fifty Shades on their kindles and have the books at their desks, then there is nothing wrong with my book. He agreed and said to just not worry about it

To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.

One of the big things that truly bothered me about the book, was the strange idea of how 20 year olds talk. Mean machine? Never had her own computer but graduated College? Never used email before? Changing the subject for every email?

Laters, baby?

It just seemed so... dated.

lol Yeah. It also seems that she lives an EXTREMELY sheltered life. Saying "Oh my!" during a sex scene? Talk about killing a mood.

Well, not that there was ever a mood to begin with. But if I was having sex with a guy, and he just exclaims "OH MY!" while he comes... I think I'd have to punch him in the face... WTF?

I used to think the excerpts of the book were faked.

Until Christian introduced Anastasia to his penis.

I still wish the 'mother hamster' quote was real.
