The plot
This RP follows a group of villagers as they are conscripted into the Imperial army to fight against the Dark Army. The group of mere villagers will have to leave their small village and travel to the nearest hold, where they will be trained and armed to fight for the living. Though they were mere villages when they were drafted, together the group will use their skills and determination to climb up the ranks and become officers, eventually assuming command over large portions of the army.

Once the Dark Army has either been defeated or forced back into its tomb the group will set their sights on the downfall of the corrupt government. With the respect and leadership skills they have gained from the war, the group will have enough power to face the Emperor on even footing, this does not mean that destroying the empire will be easy and though the group will have a large backing of both humans and the other races, they will still have to fight a bloody civil war against the Emperor, his loyalists, and those he has made to believe that humans are rightfully the dominant race.

In the end the group will go from lowly villagers to the most powerful individuals in the land, and this RP will follow them as they fight and bleed their way to the top.

The Empire
The Empire was formed 100 years after the first Dark War. Lead by a group of powerful human lords the Empire fought and won the Unifying War that forced all the races and lands of Dhalia into the Empire. Since the Empire was led by humans and since they made up the majority of the Empire's subjects the humans quickly established complete control over the government and appointed the first human emperor, Nicolas Walton. Since its founding the Empire has brought a sense of peace and prosperity to Dhalia, though non-humans have suffered greatly at the hands of the ruling elite to provide this sense of peace and security.

500 years after its founding the empire has continued its rain, though under the current emperor, Nicolas Walton the 4th, tensions between humans and non-humans has grown greatly, as the Empire continues to deny the other races a place in the government.

The Dark Army
Captured in a magical tomb after the first Dark War, the Dark Army has been awaiting their eventual freedom and a chance to return to the surface, so that they can turn the land of the living and light into darkness.

The Dark Army is made out of undead creatures that now nothing but pain and hunger. The bulk of the Dark Army is made out of skeletal knights, with monsters and other un godly creatures serving under them. Like dementors everything The Dark Army conquers dies. The Dark Army would have remained captured in its tomb for millennia if it had not been for one of the lord's believing that he could control them and use them to overthrow the current emperor, but the Dark Army only seeks to destroy the living and the light they create.
Some insperation for the Dark Army:
Skeletal Knights
Monster
Ungodly Creature

Dhalia
Dhalia is a content that is home to many different races and magical creatures. Currently Dhalia is ruled by the Empire, though it’s control over the content is under attack from upset citizens and the Dark Army that has returned to cover the land once more in darkness.
map of Dhalia

Some key locations:
Torsinkarn
Torsinkarn is the capital of the Empire and the largest city in all of Dhalia. Torsinkarn is considered the birthplace of the humans and as such has an overwhelming population of humans. As the seat of power for the Empire Torsinkin is heavily defended, Torsinkin also receives the largest portion of the Empire’s taxes, so it is by far the most beautiful and prosperous city. Most humans see Torsinkarn as a shining light of beauty and prosperity, while the other races see it as the heart of a corrupt and evil power.
Golliford
Golliford is a small castle ruled by the Golliford family and loyal to the empire. Unlike some of the other cities run by a human lord Golliford is rather accepting of different races, though they are welcomed the other races can still not hold any power in the city.
Merton
Merton a small mining village in the mountains above the town of Unta, it is also the village where the RP will begin. Merton has a rather diverse population and since it is a smaller village most of the races get along quite well.
Tomb of the Dark Army
]Hidden in the Blades the tomb of the Dark Army is not plotted on any maps as its location is kept a secret from all but a few. The tomb of the Dark Army is a deep mine that was sealed at the end of the fist Dark War to contain what remained of the Dark Army that could not be destroyed.

Some of the races that inhabit Dhalia
These are just some of the races I created for the RP if you would like to create another race just let me know.
Humans

Humans:

Humans are the predominant race in Dhalia making up one third of the total population.

Humans are a very divers race that can master a verity of skills and arts, not having any one skill that they are predominantly known for. The fact that they can become skilled at many different things and their surprising reproductive speed has made humans quite adapt at surviving and concurring.

Humans are the ruling power in Dhalia holding most of the control over the empire and it’s many cities. As such some humans consider themselves to be the perfect race rightfully placing them on top of the other races of Dhalia. Humans can be found in almost every village and town across Dhalia, but the seat of their power is Torsinkarn, which is also the capital city of the empire and seat of the emperor.

Orcs

Orcs:

Orcs were a nomadic race, before the rise of the Empire. After losing the Unifying War the orc population has drastically declined, and the number of true born orcs has never really been the same since the war.

Orcs are a brutish race focusing on using their physical strength to archive their goals. The focus on physical power has put the orcs at a disadvantage in the Empire, where brains and gold make the rules.

Orcs were one of the few races that fought the empire until the very end refusing to give up until all the orc chiefs had been killed. With their dwindling numbers the orcs have just merged in with the other races working jobs that are more physically demanding not really able to carve out a place of their own in a world ruled by humans.

Dwarfs

Dwarfs:

Dwarfs are a short stubby race that are known for their skills at the forge and in a mine. The dwarfs call the Morto Duchy home.

Like the orcs the dwarfs are a physically strong race, but unlike the orcs that is not all they are known for. The dwarfs run some of the largest mining and forging operations in Dhalia.

Unlike some of the other races the dwarfs were quick to join the empire and as such they have been able to hold most of the power over their lands and they are the only race other than humans to have a seat at the imperial court advising the emperor.

Serpents

Serpents:

Serpents are a race of female serpents, that for the most part call the city of the Mount home.

The serpents are a magically inclined race which makes it easier for them to connect with the magic that flows through the world, many serpents are gifted with foresight. There are no male serpents and as such the serpents are forced to mate with males from other races, this has kept the number of serpents much lower than the other races. For the most part the serpents stick to themselves only venturing out to mate.

Ents

Ents:

Ents are a race of tree people that live in most of the major forests across Dhalia.

Ents are a magically inclined race, having the ability to connect with mother nature and help nurture life. Ents usually just tend to the forests and help keep them healthy, only ever fighting to protect their forests. There are a few Ents that have wondered out of their forests to live amongst the other races, but they are very few.

Magic
Dhalia is home to two types of magic, active and passive magic. Active magic is hard to control and takes many years of dedication and study to master, but when mastered active magic can shift the tide of battle by summoning forth unseen forces. Active magic can be mastered by any being, though those that possess passive magic usually have an easier time learning to use it, even with passive magic it still takes many years to master active magic. Some examples of active magic are fire, thunder, and famine, for the most part active magic is for destruction.

All beings able to use passive magic are born with an innate ability to connect with it and do not require the years of study that are needed to use active magic, though passive magic is nowhere near as powerful as active magic and it tends to be useless in combat. Passive magic also tires the user out and can cause death if overused, as it feeds on the user’s essence and needs time to recharge and rebuild inside the user. Ents, Serpents, and Elves are just some of the races born with passive magic. Some examples of passive magic are healing, foresight, and nature, for the most part passive magic is for growth and preservation.

Technology
The technology of the people of Dhalia varies greatly, but for the most part it is medieval level technology with some magicians and master craftsmen creating specialty items. The most advanced weapon invented is the crossbow, though it takes much more time to reload and does not have a very good track record, so most archers opt to use a long bow.

There are some weapons imbued with magic, but these items are extremely rear and require mastery of active magic, the only known magical weapon is the Emperor’s sword which is said to be able to kill any enemy with only a single cut. Though weapons are extremely hard to imbue with magic, magic users can use their skills to create lighter and stronger items then none magicians.

Additional information
This RP was started, but two of the players ghosted so we are looking for two or three active players to join us on this adventure from conscripts to lords. The RP is more about world building and character development, so potential players should be actively willing to contribute to the story instead of just going with the flow.  Characters can be of any race, age, or sex. The only restriction on characters is that they cannot be undead or immortal, because they would have to be part of the Dark Army to possess such an ability. Though there will be some opportunities for smut I want the focus of the RP to be on story development and the conflicts of the world.

I redid a lot of stuff and gave more details pertaining to the history and lore of Dhalia, such as key locations and some of the races I created for this fantasy world.
