Wormhole Problems. (Sliders based RP, Non Con/EX Interest Check. 5 or 6 people)

I know I just had another RP idea up here earlier, but I deleted it since it was no good.  My success with Welcome to the Multiverse, which is sci fi based, has led me to make another RP that is also sci fi based upon a show I have been watching on Netflix for the longest time, called Sliders.  For those that don't know what it's about, the basic idea is that the main character of the show makes a device he thought would be an anti-gravity machine, but instead he accidentally opened a dimensional rift, or wormhole that would allow him to travel to a parallel Earth.  It's always the same year, the same day, and so on, and he's the same person, but everything else is different.  He and the group he gathers, mostly by accident, find out that time still passes normally no matter what 'Earth' he's on, and they can't find their way home.  There's five seasons, and all of them were quite good except the last one I'm on now kind of slid down my respect ladder a bit, I won't ruin it for anyone though.  At any rate, I want to 'slide' into an RP of the same idea that someone makes another sliding device and we get sucked in for the ride.  I have may have a solo game of this already, but I plan to continue that as is and let others into this little adventure I hope to get off the ground.  The setting will always change since we can go anywhere between a futuristic city like landscape to Wild West like places, to even where people have wings to countless other scenarios, but here's the catch.

EVERYTHING MUST BE EXPLAINABLE!  There was no fantasy involved in the Sliders universe, and I want to keep it that way as much as possible.  If you want to incorporate viruses that change a person into werewolves or other were-creatures, fine.  If you want laser weapons, done, but it has to be explained how the world got to where it is and what changed from our own Earth, if it's as small as a simple mistake leading to a cure to cancer, I want it detailed, documented, and written down so to speak lol.  I'd prefer that we all start in the same world, but if not at least have another person in the same place so you're not wandering around aimlessly, so PM your possible partners about placement or talk in the OOC if I get enough interest to have a reason to make one.  Ok, now that I'm done rambling at a hundred miles an hour, let's get a CS Sheet going.

Very cool, glad to have you aboard.  I'll get a CS Sheet going here but I want you guys to start thinking about that and where you would wish to go.  Remember, everything has a scientific explanation of some kind, and so no magic or any of that will be allowed.  ESP and other mind abilities, go for it.  Mutations at a genetic level, I'm all for it, but summoning powers from the ether, not going to happen lol.

History;  Zachery Thomson is just finishing high school, at the very top of his class despite a few issues with proving his teachers wrong on a few subjects during his time in classes.  Still, he doesn't do it out of spite or to prove he's smarter than everyone else.  He's always been the brightest, but also a bit isolated because of the same thing.  That doesn't stop him from pursuing his goals though, and his latest endeavor is just the start of what he hopes will be a bright future ahead of him....

Rules to remember about Sliding for those that haven't seen the show.

Number 1; Never lose the Timer.  Without it, the deadline for the next slide window won't be known and you can't get offworld without it anyway.  Once a wormhole is open, you have 60 seconds to get through it before it closes.
Number 2; Missing your slide window is not optional.  Doing so will close your chances of getting out of whatever world you're in until 30 years pass.  There was an explanation for why that is but I can't recall it at the moment.
Number 3; Travel light.  You never know what you're going to be heading into when you jump into the next world, or if you're being chased you don't want to be dragged down either.
Number 4; Time passes normally, no matter what world you're on, so if you're gone for a year back home, you might come back and see that things have changed a lot...

As far as the physics/rules of sliding, we'll have to decide how close to canon we want to it be.

As for my character, likely it will either be a nerdy female, or a male who, while not a Black Hat®, does have a rather shady side with scruples thin enough to read a newspaper through.

I'm not one to blow a gasket if it's not canon, so that's not a big deal for me.  However, I do want to at least try to make it believable as far as the whole physics and all that goes, but unfortunately I am not up to par on all that lol.  Also, your PC sounds good, now just need to apply it to a CS Sheet my friend.

Now we just need a guy or two and maybe one more girl and we're set up for a good RP I think.  Good PCs so far and Abandoned, I can already see her accidentally getting sucked into a wormhole like they did in the shows lol.  That first episode or so with the Crying Man and Professor Arturo was hilarious, except when they almost froze to death on that ice world.  Guess the Ice Age never truly ended lol.

Too early for that Elfguy lol.  Something simpler will do for our first outing.  Maybe our fourth or fifth slide though I wouldn't be against the idea.  We want to have a GOOD first couple of slides and then go to Hell and back lol.

We can do that.  First though we have to actually set up everything though lol.  Also, I forgot to mention it everyone, but the wormhole device, far as I remember, had a fifty mile radius, so since I saw LA in one CS Sheet, unless she moved elsewhere Elfguy, this will most likely be set at where everyone is at least close by and at hand.  At least at first it had a fifty mile radius at any rate, then it got upgraded to five hundred for some reason if my memory serves, but for the sake of sanity I think I'll keep it relatively small lol.

You have enough sliders but I'm in for the Earth by Earth extras, they seem to have major folks show up to help or hurt on each Earth. I just would like the variety sort of a sub-GM if that is ok.

I was thinking I could be the same woman on each Earth in various roles some good, some bad, some neutral as a in-game schtick.

So it's been a while since I saw the show but basically one person (I assume your char, Vegil) has the device to locate the wormhole, and then when it pops we all have 60secs to go through it and end up on Earth in dimension #71283, right?

Lol something like that yeah.  Here's the link for you guys to enjoy at your liesure.  Also, the wormhole is opened up by the device, not located by the device persay, although they did have to find a place to use the Timer in one episode I watched recently while they were up against the Cromags.  Something to do with the atmosphere having far too much magnetic energy and so it locked the Timer up until they could counter act the whole thing.  Anyway, here's the link in Non Con Exotic.

For a Greater change how about a world where the reconquista failed and so the new world was colonised be andalusian Muslims that are today secularised making Caucasians a minority.

That has potential...some sheikh could want my uppity blonde character as a member of his harem.

This dimensional rift shit was going to take some getting used to!

It's certainly something that can be cleaned out, but the profile for a character like this is fairly to the point. I can flesh out the "what he did before" kinda history, if you want. That's no biggie.

Actually, I like the idea.  Gives the character a foible.  We could use a character or two whose "alignment" is just a wee bit south of Neutral.  IMHO.
