Harem shows. If you've ever watched anime, you've come across them - Tenchi Muyo, To Love-Ru, Love Hina, Negima, Ranma 1/2, Ai Yori Aoshi, I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job... the list goes on and on, for literally hundreds of shows.

The idea of there being one male character (usually clueless in the ways of sex and seduction) that is being chased after by several (or many) female characters is a popular theme, and it's not limited to just anime shows. It's shown to be one of the most successful ways to make a romance story appealing to both men and women. Even stories that aren't officially harem-based often have harem fan ideas - I'm sure you've seen some picture of Batman being fawned over by all of the female characters, heroes and villains alike, that are in his orbit. But there's always a catch that's almost never addressed - what happens when the man chooses? Does he pick one woman to be his wife, and the rest give up and move on with their lives, looking for another man? Is he fundamentally unable to make a decision, and keeps all (or most) of the ladies in an illicit harem relationship? Or is there some middle ground?

We're going to explore that here. This is going to be an open-themed free-form game, with a possible ending scripted down the road. The plot is simple - A very rich man has died, and his only son, who has been estranged for years and sent to a boys-only boarding school, is now coming home. But there's a catch - the boy only gets to inherit if he provides an heir himself, continuing the family dynasty.

The family estate has many women who work there, some of whom might be interested in having the place become their homes permanently, by becoming his wife. Some of them knew him when they were young, some have never met him. Some of them are around the same age he is, while some are older... possibly much older! And the heir, himself, hasn't seen women since before he went through puberty, and hasn't got the first clue of how to deal with women.

Is this a way for me to have sex scenes with lots of different female players/characters? Well, yes, that's part of the point. ;) But it's also a way to expand the theme - the character set will be open to men as well as women. The butler, the gardner, the mail man... there's a lot of options for other men to take interest in the goings-on, and perhaps some of the ladies will decide that they're more interested in love with someone else than competing with a gaggle of other women for the heir. And perhaps those men might decide to simply take advantage of some of the blossoming beauties in the household, not even waiting for the Heir to make a decision. Perhaps they've been lusting after the ladies for a while, but worried about losing their job if the elderly rich man found out about it. The possibilities here are just as broad as the ladies. And perhaps some of the ladies aren't really interested in the Heir, so much as the other ladies flocking around the Heir...

I'm not going to set an upper limit on the number of characters, but the female cast must equal or exceed the male cast (and ideally be 2:1 or so). Having 12 ladies and 8 men - fine. Having 3 ladies and 10 men - not so much.

Will love conquer all? Or will the frenzied attention of the ladies make the young man simply accept as many of them as he can? Our role-playing will give us the answer to these questions and more on the next episode of Soap! Wait, forget that last part... =>_>=

The basic plot: *Heir* is a young man, only 19 years old. He's returning home after years at a boys-only boarding school, because his father has died. His family is rich beyond compare - money isn't a problem, at all, ever. And Father's only Will statement is that in order for *Heir* to claim the entire Family fortune, he has to get married before he turns 20, and demonstrate his attempts to *ahem* foster an heir himself, to continue the family dynasty through another generation. The problem is that *heir* has no real understanding of women - he's been in the boys-only school since before puberty.

Note that when the story starts, nobody (other than the Lawyer) knows about the Will clause, and are only about to find out about it after he arrives home.

Story Elements: There will be love, lust, hot sex, cold panics, jealousy, and more, for sure. Possible sex scene elements includes: Straight sex, Harem-ish gang-bangs, embarrassed interruptions, spying voyeurs, bisexual and lesbian scenes, the full range of BDSM, non-consensual rape, semi-consensual manipulation, and more. What there won't be are the more extreme elements in the kettle - no vore, necrophilia, coprophilia, limb removal, and so on - the items commonly set in players' "hell no" categories. ;)

World Background: The game is set in a "modern-fantasy" world. The technology is a bit behind modern day - cars are rare and generally only owned by rich people, the internet doesn't exist (but Paranet, a magical communication network, does), phones and other devices are partially magic and partially technology. Magic isn't common, but it isn't very rare, either. Players can ASK if their characters can use magic, but the answer is probably "no" if they're in their teens or very early 20's. Nonhuman characters may have minor magical abilities, however.

Female Character Details: Female characters are generally expected to be more or less attractive, by any definition possible. Tall and thin, short and plushy, huge breasts, Itty-Bitty-Titty-Committee, whatever. It's your character, not one of a bunch of Stepford Bishojo girls. The creators of female characters CAN choose to have them know *Heir* from when they were pre-teen kids, before *Heir* was sent off to school. The creators of female characters can also choose to make it so that they're unacknowledged (and unknown, officially) half-siblings of *Heir* - Father liked to get around and play with ladies all over the place! Yes, even if you're a half-breed non-human race, this still applies. Father was kinky. But it's your decision to make, and if I end up having zero potential incest partners, I'll be absolutely fine with that.

Male Character Details: Male characters are also expected to be more or less attractive, because that's the way anime shows are. ;) Male characters can also know *Heir* from childhood, or from school. If they know him from school, then they'll have to be in the 20-28 year old range.

Character race details: *Heir* is human, and so was his father (and mother, for that matter, but she's been gone for years). Characters can be human or almost any demihuman race you can imagine. That means that they must have two arms, two legs, a more-or-less normal (and cute/attractive) face, and so on. Wings, tails, etc. are fine. A small list of possible character races: elf, hobbit halfling, cat-girl (both the kind that look human with cat ears and tail, and the kind with fur), dog-girl (same), human-sized fairie, mermaid (if she has human legs while not in the water)... the list can go on and on. They can also be cute monster girls (or boys), typically explained as being a half-breed. Again, if I end up with all Human players, I'll be fine with that. Play what you want to play, not what you think I (or other players) think you should be. ALSO, monster-girls (or boys) can have a "monster-mode" if appropriate (such as a "werewolf" looking human most of the time, but going wolfy now and then).

Relationship details: You can set up pre-starting relationships between other characters if you have their agreement. Does the Cook want to have an established relationship with the Butler when the game starts? That's fine, if he agrees to it. Are the Chauffeur and Gardener really close friends? No problem. Does one of the Maids get kinky with another Maid when bored? Also fine.  :o

As a side note: I'll expect the OOC thread, or possibly a separate thread dedicated to it, will involve discussions of harem anime shows. I've got a few that are my personal favorites. =^_^=

Accountant (M/F) - The person who helps the Heir take care of the economics of the Family's money and investments. Possibly the job that spends more time with the Heir than anyone else, with the possible exception of the Butler. Claimed
Butler (M) - the Butler's job is to take care of the Family's needs. With the Father dying and the Heir-son gone, he's been trying to keep himself busy, but it's time for him to get back to work! Claimed
Chauffeur (M/F) - The person who drives the company vehicles. Not only is the Chauffeur responsible for driving the Heir around, he/she is also involved in supply runs and other instances of driving the household vehicles. Limit of 2. 1 left
Chef (M/F) - This is a catch-all for anyone who prepares food. Your character could be the master chef, the sous-chef (second-in-command), or any of a dozen other specialties - or just one of the kitchen workers. Limit of 4. 2 left
Gardener (M/F) - Someone who takes care of the plantlife outside of the mansions. A fairly free-form job, the gardeners can probably wander the premises at will. Claimed
Groundskeeper (M/F) - The person who keeps the rest of the outside repaired and in good shape. Works closely with the Gardener. May double as a repairman/repairwoman at times. Claimed
Guard (M/F) - It's this person's job to keep everyone else in the household safe, but especially the family members! Claimed
Housekeeper (F) - The person in charge of the Maids, this person's job is to keep track of what cleaning work needs to be done. Limit 1.
Lawyer (M/F) - The person who is managing the Father's will and testament, and the only person who knows what the Will's actual achievement goals are... Claimed
Maid (F) - A mansion this big needs a lot of people to keep it clean! And the Father had a definite preference for young, cute, and scantily-clad. The Maid Uniforms are fairly skimpy and sexy! No limit - a dozen maids is fine, too. ;)
Nurse (M/F) - Responsible for taking care of minor injuries and illnesses for everyone in the household, this job has some magical training. Limit of 2. 1 left
Tailor (M/F) - Making and repairing clothing in the household is almost a full-time job - those Maid's outfits seem to tear so easily... Limit of 1. Claimed

The Heir's details:

Basic Details and Background: - Septimus Bartholomew Winterbilt (called "Tim" or "Timmy" by everyone except his father, teachers, and government documents) is the Heir. Recently turned 19 years old, he stands 6 feet tall (give or take a blip), and has a light athletic build. His hair is light brown, his skin is lightly tanned, and he has a good-natured smile most of the time.

When Tim was young, his family was very indulgent for him, giving him most of the things he wanted. When he heard about treehouses, the Butler and Groundskeeper put aside their rivalry and built one over an afternoon. When he heard about saunas, his parents hired engineers to replace an unused storage room over the swimming pool, complete with a large trap door so that he could do cannon-balls into the pool. When he learned about sex... wait, he hasn't learned that yet.

In short, he was a spoiled little rich boy in many ways. But he wasn't the sort of self-absorbed, greedy brat that you would normally expect to see. His parents were quick to correct him when he did things wrong, and made sure that he had enough attention to learn how to be nice to other people.

In particular, both parents made sure that he was around other children frequently, and learning how to be a good, social individual. While his mother made sure that he played with children of a wide range of races to prevent him from becoming racist and arrogant about other species, his father made sure that the play-times included lots of little girls, in the hopes that they would someday be Tim's consorts. His father had quite a few consorts himself, spending time with other ladies when Tim's mother wasn't available or in the mood. It was one of his few hobbies.

All of that changed on one fateful day. His mother was killed in a tragic petting zoo accident, and his father found that he was unable to handle Tim's upbringing all by himself. Tim was sent off to a boys-only boarding school, and has not seen women at all for the last 10 years, since before he hit puberty.

As a result, Tim is very clueless when it comes to gender relationships. He doesn't really understand the idea of dating, and while he most certainly does have a libido of his own (thanks to his father's genes), he doesn't really have the first clue about how sex and inter-gender relationships really work. He remembers the bits his parents told him when he was young - be nice and polite to girls, son. But beyond that? Zero, zippo, nada.

Writing/Role Playing Special Detail: While normal rules against God-Moding still apply for most of this game (namely, don't dictate other players' actions without their express approval), it is relaxed when interacting with Tim. Female characters are able to use Light-to-Medium God-Moding when writing actions with Tim, provided that they're not interfering or being rude with other characters in the process.

For example, Mary the Priestess finds Tim in the hallway, walking from one place to another. She can grab Tim and drag him off to the Religious Nook, and even get him to do some actions, without having to have me post back-and-forth through it - she can simply post his following her to the Religious Nook, and his increasingly-nervous following of her instructions - "This is about respecting the Goddess, right?" However, if Aisha the Catgirl saw Mary drag Tim off, and followed to the Nook, she wouldn't be able to drag Tim away without either interacting with Mary, or waiting for Mary to be done with Tim.

Sexual orientation: Tim is the virgin of all virgins. He hasn't seen porn, and doesn't really know what sex is. He knows he's got some urges, but doesn't know how to deal with them. While Tim is pliant when it comes to non-sexual activity, he is neither a Dom or Sub at the start of the game - although he could become either (or both) depending on how the girls act with him over time.

Skills: Tim's years at the boarding school have given him a very solid range of skills, and as such, he can help out in almost any task around the Mansion, if asked. He's a competent swimmer (and this is how he's most likely to exercise, when he has the opportunity), he has a strong back for lifting heavy objects, and can run short distances swiftly. His education angled more toward mathematics, accounting, and management, but there's very little that he can't do with at least a neophyte skill level.

More Gameplay Information: Although this is an open-form role-play game (In other words, no stats, no dice-rolling, etc.), Tim has a complex stat grid. His attitudes for each girl, and for women in general, will be altered by how the different ladies treat him over the course of the game. Likewise for the male characters, but to a lesser degree... but if he catches the Butler stealing wine, for example, his opinion and trust for the Butler will go down a bit, and his overall Trust stat will also drop a little.

This means that he'll gain or lose Trust and Like for the girls based on their behavior and actions - and not just against himself! If he sees one girl being mean to another, he'll lose some Like for that girl. That doesn't mean that she can't end up seducing him, though. Like I said, it's a complex stat grid. And while many of the stat changes will be posted at the end of my posts, not all of them will be.

Girls who knew Tim from his childhood start off with 5 Trust and 5 Like - while he remembers them, he's been away from them for longer than he was ever with them, and only remembers it somewhat dimly. Other girls that he meets will gain (or lose) some during their first personal encounter with him. The same holds true for other characters that he already knows - the Butler has met him a few times, at least.

Oh, one other detail that I mentioned in the Interest Check thread that might have been missed by some of you. Generally in games like this, "God-moding" is seriously frowned upon; controlling someone else's character is a major no-no. While that's still mostly the case here, there's an exception: female characters can do light-to-moderate God-Moding with the Heir, provided that it doesn't involve being rude to other characters, because he's been raised to be too polite to refuse.

For example, if Tammy the Nun found Heir walking through the hallway, she could drag him into the church room for a lecture on Virtue without having to wait for my post - she can simply do it as part of her post. But if Cyndi the Succubus spotted Heir and Tammy in there, she wouldn't be able to drag Heir away until Tammy's done with him.

That doesn't mean that she couldn't join in on whatever they're doing, though. ;)

Here's a lure for those of you who love the role-playing aspects - now and then, typically at the end of an "episode," characters who have really helped move the game forward and entertained everyone will get a reward - a "Token." This token will have two purposes.

1.) You can spend the token to ask me to make a new Thread-location of your choice. You'll have to give me a description (and hopefully an image/picture for it). You could use this to create your character's bedroom, or any other location inside the house or out.

Just give me what the room is, a description (a paragraph, more or less), and a suitable picture, and I'll add it in the Forum, and make it a part of the game's locations.

Right now, Floor 1 is household simples - the living rooms, small offices, bar, swimming pool, kitchen, dining room, and so on. Floor 2 is bigger rooms - larger offices, an entertainment room, a bowling alley (maybe), a sauna (directly above the swimming pool, with a trap-door to drop into the pool), other things of that nature. Floor 3 is "minion rooms" - bedrooms for the lower-class employees. Floor 4 is large bedrooms for the family members and valued staff - butler, lawyer, one or two others.

2.) You can dictate a new "episode" plot idea to me. Give me as much detail or little as possible, but try to give me an idea that works within the game's already-established arcs and storylines.

Basic personality: There are quite a few terms that could describe Maymay's personality, but none of them are particularly flattering. To describe her character in the simplest of terms, Maymay is a loose screw away from being thrown into an insane asylum. She has a habit of acting before her brain can even attempt of thinking things through. But this habit is more of a blessing than a curse in her case, as when she does sit down and think about something, nothing but strange happenings come out as a result. When depressed, Maymay is very hard to cheer up, and one would find that it's usually best to leave her to pull herself out of her depression.

A description of your character: The daughter of a Goblin aristocrat, Maymay is a rare sight among the rich elite. Goblins are stereotyped as being very barbaric and dull by nature, and are rarely seen near even the least sophisticated of humanoid societies. But Count Druff Mort, Maymay's father, proved the stereotype to be nothing more than a myth when he became one of the most wealthy and powerful men in the nation.

Maymay is the result of one of her father's many harlots falling pregnant after a rough night of love making. Maymay never knew her mother, and knows next to nothing about her besides that she was a human. She isn't the only child of Count Mort however. Her two older siblings, Arial and Aristole, are twins who are half elf. Her little brother, Napoleon, is half dwarf.

Maymay met the Heir when she was only three years old. Her father had taken her along on a business meeting at one of his business partner's estates, where she saw him for the first time. Being the only child she'd seen that was her own age, Maymay was instantly drawn to him. After a long day of playing, the two were already good friends. For the next 8 years Maymay would visit the Heir at his house almost every day. She would often ambush him by jumping off the roof of his mansion or jumping through a window, which would usually end with both of them sprawled on the floor. She would often drag him into troublesome situations with her mischievous schemes, or unintentionally cause injury to him in one way or another. With all the predicaments and messes they got themselves into, it's a wonder how they lived past childhood. But they always pulled through in the end, and never left an adventure without a smile on their faces.

When the day came for the Heir to leave home, a tearful goodbye was shared between the two. For two weeks afterward, Maymay walked over to the Heir's mansion at the break of dawn, and sat on the roof above the front yard. She hoped that he would escape from wherever his family sent him and back to her, so they could resume their days of playing.

But he never came.

Over the next few years Maymay grew into a splendid young lady, but her soul remained as young as the day she met the Heir. She hoped that one day, when he comes back from his adventures in a far off land, that their days of play could resume once again.

I don't demand a great deal of player profiles from the get-go - it's hard to really know your character until you play your character, right? So I don't mind sparse profiles from new characters. The reason that Timmy's profile is so huge is because he's going to be interacted by damn near every character in the game - you all have to have some idea of who he is from the start.

As for profiles; I have been in games where GMs have been strict and where others are "meh." Lately I have found GMs who ask for "brief" details and I find that is a good compromise. I find this is one of the few where it has a nice balance. :3

Basic personality: Benjamin (or Ben for short) is quite experienced with the world even before he became a groundskeeper for the mansion. He owed life debt to ancestor of the heir and he has served the household through three masters before the heir. Ben is general handyman who repairs anything and knows everything about the mansion (both inside and outside) and is probably one eldest residents.

But he is calm and easygoing as a person and tries take life with humor and calm. But beneath that lays a much more troubled and violent past which he had left behind. A past which he prefers not talk about nor remember if possible. He can control his shifting and emotions fine expect during full moon he descends more animal level mind set. It starts even during the day when he is more edgy, emotional and even lustful. At night he transforms werewolf and then he is more animal than human in mindset and it lasts until to dawn and when he shifts back to human.

The staff is aware of his condition and they usually warn new comers bothering him during the day of full moon and tell them lock doors to their rooms at night during full moon. But otherwise they do not talk about his status being werewolf as his human form is strong enough labors he works for. Although some newcomers may be curious for a time about it.
A description of your character (besides pic): Benjamin prefers wear black clothes; black jeans and black shirt in normal everyday wear and a old styled black satin coat with frills on any formal occasions. He wears golden transparent glasses, mostly to hide his golden hued wolf eyes which would disturb folks to look at the 'beast eyes' he has.

He has black hair both in as human and hybrid and in third form as complete wolf he is also entirely black. For everyday repairs and inspections he carries a redwood wand which he uses as means manipulate magic as over course of the years he had learned several spells as groundskeeper. But not in actual magical combatant as if there is going to be violence he goes to his hybrid form where term being 'old' werewolf means 'more power than young one' than being 'weak'.

A few questions before I approve: Is his werewolf nature publicly known to staff, only privately known to Butler/Lawyer/Guards, or a complete secret? And can he shift at will, or is he only forced to change during the full moon days?

I would say his werewolf status is private but not purposefully kept secret. The older staff and those working in mansion would have after one full moon know their groundskeeper's true nature but they just do not talk about it regularly.

He can shift his form at-will but as seen in werewolf pic doing so shreds clothes, so Ben would not shift for no reason as his human form is strong enough for any house labors (where as werewolf he clearly has monstrous strength). During full moon his instincts push into surface where he acts more feral and animal alike (unable control himself and his urges), where he is most aggressive but most easy way to sedate him is to let one maids run in hallways and let him chase her....and have rest of the night fun with it (it avoids angering or triggering territory defending response vs any male personnel).

But it's not always necessary, one past masters played 'fetch' game entire night during full moon with Ben and that also worked. Mostly because he had deep friendship with said master is reason why it worked. Overall in over 200 years working in the house there has been no single death casualty to the events (bruises and scratches yes but nothing lethal).

He was once married to one staff members in past and during full moons his wife was the one running in hallways to attract his attention. He had daughter which worked in mansion, left have own life and now married another werewolf and now Ben is grandfather who may get visited by his daughter, husband + his grandchildren who are coming to age as well. So some holidays he leave the mansion spend it with his family or the family comes over.

Reason for death of his second wife (first is not known in detail but he mentioned he was 'bonded' before coming to mansion) was because of old age/illness.

Her preferred form is that of demonic girl complete with horns, wings and tail dressed in a cute nurse outfit. She can't adapt her color of her slime though and so her entire form ranges in color from a light pink to a very dark purple and is an expert in dividing her pigment.

Of the various parts that could be used, there are so many creative options. Hands and feet are the most obvious, then mouth/tongue and cleavage, ranging further afield there are knees and inner elbows, armpits, the bend of the hip, between ass cheeks, between thighs, along the spine, and then we get into the more arcane locations, not possible for most, including tails and ears and wings, and even genitalia for those so endowed.

Hands, of course, are the go to for application, but they are also the most common. There's nothing wrong with common, of course, but most people like to spice it up, more or less as go their tastes.  ;D

Basic personality: A very tense and serious type of person who seems to wear no other expression other than a constant frown.  Normally stern, serious, and detached, Rock also has a bit of a temper, which has gotten him into trouble more than once before.  He can be extremely stubborn and has a tendency to make reckless decisions at times.  Despite not exactly being the brightest bulb in class, he can be very perceptive and analytical to the point of practically becoming a human lie-detector.  He also displays great loyalty to his friends (i.e., the heir).

A description of your character:
Due to his intimidating presence and his aloof attitude, Rock attracted the attention of delinquents and got into fights all the time.  Due to the fact that he had been practicing martial arts ever since he could walk, he was able to handle himself relatively well.  He eventually joined a gang of delinquents and continued getting into trouble all the time.  This pattern of behaviour continued on before he eventually made enough enemies to get ambushed by a large group consisting of over 300 gang members.

(Warning: nearly all of the following paragraph was most certainly exaggerated... probably...)

Among his assailants included the local chain biker gang, the yankii brothers, the Litchi Hikari club, the vampire club (consists of real vampires), the werewolf gang (consists of real werewolves), the magical girls (has zero female members), etc... also, someone brought along his pet grizzly bear.  The people he thought were his friends had abandoned him to his fate.  What ensued would be written down in delinquent history as one of the greatest massacres of all time.  Rock had managed to whittle his opponents down to a number that could be counted on one hand.  He was running out of breath, his injuries were piling up, and he was up against a 100m tall robot.  The next thing he knew, he had woken up at the hospital with one foot in the grave (he almost beat the robot, by the way).  In response to this latest incident, Rock's parents sent him off to an all-boys boarding school.

Rock showed up to his first day at his new school with a medical eye-patch and a cast on his right arm.  The first impression he made with his fellow classmates involved a lot of glaring on his part.  The other students, suffice to say, were scared of him and refused to approach him under any circumstances.  One of his classmates just happened to be the heir, Septimus Bartholomew Winterbilt, AKA Timmy.  At first, Rock was cold toward Timmy.  Over time, however, the two grew to become close friends.  Don't ask how.  No... seriously.  They're still getting over the trauma of that particular incident.

By the time he reached his final year of high school, he had pretty much mellowed out and graduated with little to no problems.  After graduation, Rock became a wandering martial artist and travelled the world (he's a very good swimmer) before being approached by Tim's father with a job offer.  Rock accepted the job, not quite putting together the fact that this was Tim's father... or that it was Tim who recommended Rock for the job via letter.  He probably should have.  It was kind of obvious.

Sexual Orientation: He is probably straight. He probably does not have a crush on Tim. The fact that he ignores girls and is obsessed with the Heir does not mean anything. Seriously though, he is heterosexual.
Sexual Experience: He once screamed when he saw a girl bathing. He has probably kissed his mother. He occasionally blushes when he sees a swimsuit advertisement.
Sexual Preferences: The only girl that has a chance with him is one who simply will not take no for an answer, since any other will get tired trying to pierce through his thick head, or he will simply run away. While he claims to be the most dominant creature ever, he is a sub. A weird sub.

Basic Personality: Frederick is a bit of a ham (Noooo! Really?). Despite his posturing, his ego is nowhere near the size that he wants everyone to think it is, as he is wracked with insecurity and feelings of inadequacy. He means very well: he has a heroic nature and always does his best to do the right thing, but his over-the-top arrogance puts people off.

A Description of Your Character: If you take a look at his own description of himself above, you will have a pretty good guess of what he is like. Though very few people acknowledge it, he is supremely talented in almost anything. He would be the Ace through and through if not for his tendency to fail in horrific and humiliating ways for no real apparent reason. ("ALAS, FATE HAS SEEN FIT TO ALLOW MY DEFEAT UPON THIS MOST TRAGIC OF DAYS." *swat* "Urk...") His successes tend to be the ones that no one notices. A magician, inventor, scholar, tactician, athlete, fighter, and who knows what else, he has enough skills to be a huge annoyance no matter the situation. Frequently creates devices and plots that are sublime in their genius, and utterly misuses them until they blow back in his face. His father, called the Great Magister, is a terrifyingly wealthy and powerful man who lives in Blackcloud Manor, a huge haunted mountaintop mansion. Nothing evil is known of him, but much is suspected.

It is not actually known why he developed the obsessive rivalry with Tim, though their are many harebrained theories. He did attend school with him for a while, though Frederick was too... Frederick to do well there. He did incite all sorts of mischief, despite striving to be and believing himself a model student, much of which Tim got caught up in. His father eventually pulled him out of school to be privately tutored. Now however, he is free to run around and make a nuisance of himself once again.

Well, "slightly" is a bit of an understatement. But as a matter of fact, I actually already posted a picture of her on my profile. At first I wanted to wait until I got the hair the way I wanted, but because I'm terrible at drawing hair and the "prototype" picture was already done, I decided to post it just in case I couldn't make her a better hairstyle by the time the game starts. I'm no artist by any means of the word, so that possibility seems likely.

It came out better than expected, but not as well as I hoped. Because I drew it on MS Paint, it looks very crude and plain, as I really didn't have the means to make her look super gorgeous. She ended up looking like an 8 year old girl, which I feared would get me in trouble because she is also quite short (being half Goblin will do that to you). That being said, i tried my best to make a "cute" looking Goblin girl for the Heir to potentially (however unlikely) date if he so chooses. It's not much, but I did the best I could.

I'll be posting a description of her appearance as well, which will give significantly more detail to her appearance, including her face and hairstyle. The character photo is little more than an "aid" for the players to imagine what she looks like, as well as an icon for the RP posts to help the game run smoother. The description is the primary source for her appearance however, so feel free to ignore the photo completely if you don't like it.

Basic personality: For the most part, Doug personality is decidedly amicable and cheerful, even to the point of being considered annoying by his closest acquaintances. He nearly always appears randomly, jovially butting in while something important is being discussed and is rather well-known for shirking his duties. Behind this behavior, however, is a markedly trustworthy, serious and particularly intelligent young man who always goes the distance to look after the people close to him.

All of this may just be an act however part of his buoyant demeanor may actually be a shield to protect himself and his loved ones from the darker aspect of his artificial life. He is a realist, decisive and shrewd, who is able to cut out what is unnecessary and focus on the most important aspects of a given situation. He has a keen eye for detail noticing unfamiliar patterns in behavior of those he is around.

Douglas, despite all his goofball antics, is a rather wise for his age and is prone to doling out sage advice to the people he has invited into his extended family, including The Heir, and some within the household in order to make sure they take the correct path to the happy future. He is commonly seen with one of two people either it being his grandfather whom in his 'old age' is immobile and must be transported via wheelchair or The Heir. If one sees him alone Doug tends to act unfamiliar with his surroundings giving a the goofy and lovable nature he harbors more prone, and shines through.

His hair is parted on his left side. He often has a soft smirk upon his face, with his dark amber eyes slightly squinted. Doug is very tall with lean muscle. He normally wears form fitting clothing of various earthy tones, and cargo shorts, with sneakers.

He typically dresses in an outfit that consists of black trousers, a six button double-breasted tailcoat, and a grey vest. He has the crest of the family on his shirt cuffs and tie; He also sports a pocket watch with a chain and chained silver lapel pin. Basic personality:

Seti does not act, look, nor dress like what you'd expect from a guard. Hell, most people mistake him for a woman when they first see him, let alone expect him to hold such a physically demanding position. He is very friendly and aloof, and can often be shy towards people he does not know. Very pure of heart (and open to corruption  ;) ), He often finds himself getting in his own way to help others, the heir first and fir-most. Ever since he was brought into the household by the Heir's father, to grow up and simultaneously watch over and protect him, he considers himself the Heir's close friend and guardian, and trusts him the the highest degree. He shares common traits with cats, as he is easily distracted by a ball of yarn, and adores cold milk.

This all changes, however, when danger is sensed around the heir. His species allows him to fully transform into a cat, and Seti has a wide array of control over his forms. Once danger is sensed, Seti can transform into a giant, Black-Panther like Puma that's twice the size of common ones in the wild. His greatest weapon is this surprise, as many have made the mistake of considering him weak before falling prey to his fangs. The size of his transformation can also vary, as some can find him swaying his tail around the mansion in the form of a small, black cat. In this form, he often spies or infiltrates places that are impossible to do so by humans, and keeps watch over the heir without alarming any others who may surround him.

Some more background of the world that we'll be in.

Oerth seems very similar to our Earth at first glance - there are cars, portable communication devices, long-distance flying ships, and, frankly, most of the things you'd expect to see in our world. What it also has are magic and magical races.

Centuries ago, this was a stereotypical fantasy world, with monsters and heroes fighting constantly; hamlets, walled towns, and castles; a fierce, non-ending struggle between humans and... well, everyone else, although not always at once. Magic and metal were the tools of offense and defense; other races were captured and enslaved, or killed and disposed of. Technology and magic were fierce foes, with magic generally being the upper hand, as it only relied on the caster's own energy and force of will to accomplish things, while technology required so very much more.

Then, nearly 200 years ago, something happened. An industrious young man discovered that magic and technology didn't need to work separately. Learning how to build technological devices as a student in the artificer's guild, while hiding the fact that he was actually able to cast magic as well, he started some very secretly attempted experiments, trying to use magic and technology together, working to achieve the same end task, instead of fighting against each other. And he succeeded.

When these creations, neither magic nor technology, but a blend of both, were discovered, both the magicians and the artificers were horrified. He was forced to flee from his home, and take up a deal with the nearby King - a deal that essentially made him a slave to the throne, but let him continue his experiments unopposed. By the time he died an early death, 20 years later, his developments had changed the way the world worked. While the old-school magicians and classic artificers resisted and rejected this new way, they were vastly outnumbered by the common folk who could see the benefits from some of his creations.

Over the next few generations, the world changed due to his work. Wars stopped happening so frequently, as there were new ways to get resources that didn't involve capturing and plundering one's foes. Peace broke out for the first time in millennia, and the differing races started trying to work with humans (and each other), instead of fighting against them. Nonhuman races were allowed to walk into human lands without being captured, killed, or enslaved; trade between the races' governments started to provide new angles and new ideas in the blossoming Magitech.

Today, there's a general, but not always perfect, peace between the races. Human lands - which include cities that now look more like our world's cities, with typical city centers, highways, suburbs, and all the rest - now allow other races to mingle, live in human lands (which are becoming less and less "human" lands over the years, and becoming more of a mixed melting pot), and grow. There's only three demands to nonhuman races - first, they must not attack or harm others. Second, they must generally obey the laws. Third, they must look more-or-less human - walking (or sliding) around with nonhuman features like centaurs, nagas, satyrs, sphinx, and so on are frowned upon - it's considered terribly rude to not look "normal" when there are magical ways to shift one's appearance and more closely match the "socially-approved" style. Two arms, two legs, and one head - anything more than that was scandalous. Nonhuman tails, ears, wings, and horns, on the other hand, are considered fashionable, and it's not uncommon to see humans walking about with fake ear jewelery or other fashionable accessories along that line.

While there are still battles, still some heroes and villains in the world, some monsters that cherish the idea of eating humans and humans that just want to kill monsters, the world is more settled now than it ever has been. Race is starting to be less important than friendliness, consideration, and skill - being able to get along, do your job, and not eat your coworker for lunch. There's even signs of cross-breeding - which has happened for millennia, but previously, halfbreeds were viewed as monsters, and shunned by everyone - and the half-breed children becoming accepted almost as much as their pure-breed counterparts.

Perhaps humanity and the other races will disappear one day, replaced by their mixed-breed children and grandchildren. But that's a story for another day.

Akia was found abandoned as a kit on the door step of a shrine. There the owners decided to adopt the cute little thing and raise her as one of their own.  She was adored by her adopted family and over time she ended up becoming her step-brother's little pet. At first it was simple fun stuff, like cleaning his room or playing maid for the day in exchange for being petted or given sweets without the parents knowing. But as they grew older the demands became more and more perverse. Even though both of them knew it was wrong they found they just couldn't stop. That was until their parents caught them. She was kicked out on the street and he was sent to college abroad.

After wandering the streets aimlessly she finally found an ad offering room and board in exchange for being a maid. Akia figured she had played maid growing up so didn't think it would be too difficult. Since then she has worked as a maid at the house.

Basic personality: Despite her name, Vivica is a very droll and calm woman, and it can be difficult to tell the difference between when she's awake and when she's asleep. Most of all, she's downright lazy.

A description of your character: A tall and thin young woman, Viv tends to look perpetually tired or bored, and typically both. That is, when she doesn't look like she's asleep, which she is much of the time. She has lank blond hair that she keeps tied back at the nape of her neck. Her eyes, when they can be seen, are clear blue. Her uniform is almost always immaculate, probably due to the fact that more often than not, she can be found in her undershirt and bloomers, her uniform hanging neatly nearby while she naps the day away. Unless it's nighttime, in which case, she's in her bed, of course. Despite her laziness and lack of motivation, she is an accomplished driver, and never misses appointments. Basic personality: Has a strange and extremely intimidating personality, He has a certain level of respect for all of his co-workers, former and present, and has utter faith in their abilities. He possesses a strong winners-mentality, believing that winners get everything in life while losers are denied all. However also has a tendency to take victory for granted as he holds that, for him, winning is merely a given. Unlike the other of the manor, Le'Sane addresses them informally, calling them by their first names or by what he calls 'pet' names for those around him.

Le'Sane finds the misfortune of others as refreshing he doesn't deny this and in fact an excellent actor and many have been fooled by his gentlemen-like behavior. This sadistic nature can be further explained if asked for his motives. He'll reply that he simply enjoys the suffering of others; saying that he thinks it's fun when other people's hopes and dreams are crushed. He also stated that he doesn't particularly want to win that badly with his foul methods, but the reactions of others are well to worth it to pass up.

When not being a total menace he's a very carefree personality. He likes to taunt and make a fool of his peers and makes funny, but dry remarks. He is often kidding around, even during serious matters. Normally doing this with well-spoken and superficially kind on first glance, but hides the darker personality that more subtly reveals itself in conversation. Speaking in the typically polite dialect, Le'Sane laces what would be pleasant conversation with slight jabs at other's weaknesses and understated but absolute expressions of his own confidence.

True Appearance
Has no real form. This is the purest form of Le'Sane when doing nothing he is rather small only a the size of a basketball. No one has ever seen him like this due to finding ways to avoid detection. It can shift into a pseudo human like form, but its crude and very terrifying to see.

Le'Sane is very mischievous-looking. He has pale skin and is usually seen with a wide, arrogant smirk on his face. He has almost shoulder-length, dead white hair and grey eyes. He has his hair parted with some locks between his eyes. His eyebrows are notably black; the inside and thinner to the ends. His attire does not change from his normal clothing

Human Disguise (Used only when off site)
A lean man with long gray hair, which is worn so as to hide his eyes. They are a dull if not faded lime green. A noticeable scar across his face and neck. His typical attire consists of a vest, gloves, black and white striped tie which is often seen with the top button of his shirt undone and his tie loose around the neck, and black ankle high boots. Additionally, he has a raven black jacket that he was given from one of the oldest heirs which he slings off his shoulders and wears around his elbows.

I've got one concern - how well does he do his job? As the Accountant, he'd be in a position to really fuck things up... which would get him fired by Lexi as soon as she realized what was going on. His job would be to keep the finances flowing properly until such time that Tim can handle whichever parts of it he wants to concentrate on.

Basically one for this is how he acts normally 0:12 to 3:20 he'd use a fake name for the shit he does and 13:40 to 14:37 is how any and all problems can and have been solved in the past. He is good at his job though when he puts his mind to it since he'd done this job for quite a while. I figure Tim would never meet or has never met him for good reason.

A description of your character: Leasick is what you'd call a "modern day mage." The technical jargon behind it goes over most people's heads, but, in essence, rather than casting spells with chants or other traditional forms of spellcasting, mages such as Leasick use a Casting Assistant Device, better known as a CAD. This means that he uses a computer to program spell sequences into his "wand" or "staff." Another difference from the traditional idea of a mage with a staff or wand is that his are shaped like pistols. He's also trained in a martial arts form that utilizes spells that can be cast without either a CAD or verbal chants, though their effects are restricted to his own body, such as increasing his strength or allowing him to absorb more damage before becoming injured.

Graduating with top marks from the academy, Leasick was almost immediately approached by a representative of the family, wishing to hire him as one of the personal guards for the head of the family. He's worked diligently for them for over a year and a half now, though he lost sight in his right eye after fending off an assassination attempt on the now late head of the family. He wears an eyepatch to cover the scar. During his time at the mansion he's begun to develop romantic feelings towards one of the maids, Akia, and wishes to help her overcome the "pet mentality" she seems to linger in still due to her upbringing.

A description of your character:
Since the beginning, she has been odd. The child that ate dirt. The one that bashed her head repeatedly into a wall for no reason. The one who had multiple imaginary friends or various species. Yes, she has always been strange. Even though she had some time with Timmy as a child, they grew rather distant once each got into different schools. Still she kept some tabs on him through their magical messages, but no more than casual 'How are yous' and 'How's school going'.

As the girl turned into a teenager, she began to realize her true passion. Photography. She loves pictures of everything. From the smallest pebble to the largest building. If it piques her interest, she's going to take a picture of it. Although this was a plus in her art class, the rest of her classes suffered due to her constant disruptions. It was a miracle she even graduated, or had boy/girl friends for that matter. Most people are annoyed by her, or intrigued. As she tends to go with what she feels is best, she has made enemies due to this. Although normally the feud was short lived, as Dolyn tends to ignore physical fighting and cast it as a mere illusion that can easily be discarded.

Once out of highschool, her parents tried urging her to pursue more education. This did not tickle her fancy at all. Dolyn wanted to live, and more so, take pictures. Constantly her parents fought with her, and eventually they knew it was no good. So Dolyn began to travel, yet she did not make it but two towns over until she received the news of her uncle. For some odd reason, perhaps because she has a sense of caring for family, she decided to visit her cousin. Sure it would be nice to observe him in his time of need, and do what ever she could for him, but it had also been a while since she had been to the manor. Who knows what pictures could be taken in such a grand place?

The only truly notable "negative" thing to be aware of is that she's a slave driver when things are behind schedule or complications show up. However, being the cold headed person she is, she is usually quick to regain control over such events.

On another note, Araya is not particularly interested in gaining the young master's hand, she thinks it's for the best that she gets to choose for himself, and she has decided to not try out for the position, even if she would not have declined his wish if he had proposed. She has however yet to meet him, having been on hiatus for a couple months.

A description of your character: Araya was born as the offspring from an accidental slip between the previous master of the house and the current housekeeper. They did however, keep silent about it, so nobody knew that the child was between the two of them, though there was naturally assumptions. She was raised at the house and got to look after the young master a couple years. She was however by the age of 10 sent to a more proper school for her approaching role, to take over for her mother whenever the current master passed away, or she decided to go off. She spent seven years at the academy, a large boarding school with a lot of other girls in similar situations. When she returned, she worked under her mother for several years more, before her own mother eventually passed away from sickness and she took over the position, which she has been keeping from the age of 20, now in about six years.

Appearance-wise, she stands about 5 foot 7, and have long white hair that is usually tied up to avoid get in the way, hairstyle varies. Her bust is on the average side, slightly leaning towards big. Besides this, she has a very slim waist and slim legs.

Equipment:
Silver pocket watch - Inheritance from her mother. The watch is a construction that, besides showing what the time is, allows for the user to point out the direction of which any staff member is. There used to be a bigger version in her mother's room that showed what room, but it broke down the day that her mother passed.

Paper fan - A small piece of folded paper, mainly used to give a light rep to slowpokes. It doesn't particularly hurt, but is more so used as a sign of being displeased.
