Does anyone know how to go about burning video to a DVD?  I've been attempting to mess around with it, but so far I haven't been particularly successful.

Elohim

Also,  I really don't need it to function strictly as a DVD.  As long as I can insert the DVD and simply access to the video using a computer would be fine.

Do you mean converting .avi video to DVD format?

Otherwise burning an .avi video is just like burning any other file...

Must be an issue with either my computer or my DVDs.  Or I could just be...  really ditzing out here.

You have troubles that when you insert a DVD with a video file, you can't access it?

Yea,  I keep getting an error message saying "The files is corrupt or invalid."  I'm leaning towards invalid because I can play them...  I just can't burn them.

jouzinka

Could it be that you're attempting to burn them in an inappropriate way? As in... not burning them as files (aka Data DVD), but as a (movie) DVD?

Yea,  that's actually what I was doing.  That's kind of embarrassing.

So everything's fine now?

And don't worry - be glad that it was such an easy mistake, quick to remedy. :-)
