That sounds cool. And I want my character to be quite smart, so i wouldn't have him as somene held back a year for academic reasons. I was considering playing a teen model who would be quite exebitionist. Would that be okay? Im deciding if I just want to make him as a first year, or have him older but removed from schooling by his parents for a year to further his career. But would the concept be acceptable? He would probably quite happily participate in the naked days which would be interesting if he was to be paired with a more reluctant person who also had to be naked.

Thats exactly what I was going for, and yes from what I hear its more common than over here (although it still happens look at the disney channel). It happens to both boys and girls there. The reason for him to be held back would be his parents removing him from school to "Home school" him... IE abuse his fame to make loads of money. And now he's finally aloud back. Or I may just go for a first year. I just tend to prefer more mature looking characters... Hmm *Ponders* I'll have a char up in a few hours

How about he's 18 and doing modelling work outside school for teen magazines or something but he isn't that academically strong? Maybe his parents tracked him over to the modelling career because they thought he stood a better chance of success along that route than in trying (and almost certainly failing) to get to university. He needn't be a thicko, he can be street-wise and mentally adept, just not academically sound, and that is the main reason (aggravated by time taken out to do modelling assignments) that he was kept back a year. So it was the school headmaster that kept him back, not the choice of his parents.

The end result for the RP is basically similar but it just takes that superpowered edge off the character.

Because people have different preferences. You just gave yours, which is also valid. I'm 90% okay with Red Doctors proposal - would just like to scuff the shiny edges up a bit.

In response to an 18 year old trying to throw his authority around there might be a boy who would stand up for a girl who was put into an awkward corner, something like that can always be deployed in an RP to maintain balance or to turn the direction a scene is heading in back in a direction your character would prefer.

Im prefectly fine with someting like that. Just from my experience when i was young the kids held back without any extra reason were really really unintelligent, it takes alot for that to happen. Which would be something I wouldn't want to play. Its also a great shame to be held back accademicaly in most modern asian cultures. Which is the other thing.

Maybe he can trade confidence lessons for maths classes hehe. But yes nothing to worry about, I just didn't want to be RPing the muscular piece of meat whos not too smart.

I actually tend to agree with you Zarazel, and unless the occassion particularly calls for it I prefer my character to be flawed. I may also put in a negative relationship with his parents who he resents for putting him behind his peers academically for money.

I think it would be better if your character is overbearing by pulling him out of his modeling job and have him back to school full time rather than let him build a career early.

Most japanese high school actually does allow part time schooling especially for those under special condition (poverty, living alone or sustaining a family) and those students tend to be held back a year because of it. So actually your character being held back a year due to the job is not something out of the sense just not for the reasoning you put forward. Hope that clear up a bit :)

Thanks, That is really helpful. I'm not massively knowledgeable about the Japanese school system in anything more than what I've seen in movies and TV shows. I think I'm just going to drop the idea of having him held back as it seems to be a bit of a nightmare to plot out, I'm going to stick with the teen Idol idea, just have him a regular 16 year old student

Yes, true, I hope it will be a bit laid back.

While we have this nice frission of enforced nudity going on, and the game could take off in quite horny or even dark directions, I hope the game also offers just a simple high school setting for people to reach a nice chilled level of making friendships, having some romance (of any kind - M/F, F/F and M/M - or any multiples thereof - is all welcomed) and just kicking back a bit. I'm not demanding any rabid pacing in the posting rates either.

I have a good idea of how to structure the game now with some school plans and lots of photos ready to go. I am waiting on more players who've characters have been approved to post in the OOC and say hi and make their arrival official, curently we're a bit light on players who have actually confirmed they're ready.

No, there's no possibility of an imbalance. One girl and ten boys and it would still work! That's one of its plus points I guess. You can make up one character or two (but if two, please put them in the two separate classes - one aged 16, one aged 17) or you can just play one character. And you can play male or female, as you wish.

The game has not begun yet, still waiting for players to find and sign into the OOC which you can do when you've had a character approved.

It's definitely a bit different from the other games I'm in that I also enjoy. I'm trying to work on a character as we speak ^_^

Hi DarkRose, yes she's fine. Welcome to the game - once again the picture is of an older and more worldly face than I'd have liked though, and I'll say it again that there are loads of cute and easy to find pictures of Japanese schoolgirls out there, or models in school uniforms.
