The Voices of my Insecurity

I don’t know how to put it,
I don’t know what to say.
The words are on the tip of my tongue.
But they couldn’t be farther away.

Everybody is going to leave me.
Nobody even cares.
Don’t bother reaching out,
No one knows I’m there.

Why would anyone love me?
It’s not like I’m worthwhile.
I don’t deserve to be happy,
I don’t even deserve a smile.

These voices talk aplenty,
Morning, noon and night.
Though the lies they tell are faulty,
I often fear they’re right.
