Would it be acceptable for my magic items to have been crafted by myself (the ones that I would be able to craft at any rate)? I'll make the skill check for each item if you'd like. I have no problem doing it once the story progresses, that'll just mean that I'll be spending more IC down time working on said crafting instead of socializing.

Thoughts? Restrictions? Recommendations?

Character sheet in progress for Ryoko.  Used RL dice to come up with ability scores.

Is there a minimum/reroll value for any ability scores?  I kinda don't want to stick with a 7 Int (9 after racial bonuses), even though that's the only dump stat I have that makes sense...

We get to reroll 1s. I was under the same concern until she mentioned that to me earlier.

Yeah feel free to make up your own deity for you kittygirl cleric.

You don't get to make your own magic items at the start. You pay base price for what ever items you start off with, and then start crafting afterwards. That way the DM doesn't have to beat you with a bat nailed to a bat. As for your research, you may want to look up what did you did wrong that changed you into a catboy in the first place. You'll never know if there is a market for that sort of thing...

You guys still need to come to a consensus over a lair type.

Reasonable enough, I figured it was a longshot at any rate and perfectly understand your reasons for choosing such. :-) Plus, it gives Rayne something to do in his free time. That is when he is not being tempted by certain... distractions. ;)

As far as a headquarters, I like the idea of a casino being a front for our business. Just in case certain contracts call for less than legal actions. It'd help provide some funding to the group, though I'd imagine much of the income would go to operation costs. Taxes are a bitch after all. The ground floor could be the gambling area while the second could be living spaces for our characters while also providing a place we can conduct business of the mercenary vaiety. Naturally the two floors will have controlled access, preventing a wayward patron from wandering where they're not welcome.

Sounds good to me, though it does mean I'll have to put my lawful good idea on hold.  Ah well, next time perhaps.  As for the headquarters, I like it, although I'd also prefer a secret basement as well.  The restricted access upstairs is nice and all, but if/when the guards come to raid the place, it would be nice to have a portion of the building they don't know about where we can hide all the illicit stuff.  The passage to the basement could be either somewhere in the "normal" basement, just a fake wall that leads to a staircase further down, or perhaps in the upstairs somewhere, with stairs going through the main floor behind one of the walls (after all, who would be crazy enough to look for the secret entrance to the basement on the top floor?)

Anyway, character background.  I like the LG idea, so her father was a lord in a nearby kingdom.  Most of the time, he was fair and just with his subjects, but he always followed the letter of the law, and when one of his best friends was convicted of a crime, despite him doing it for all the right reasons, the law called for his death, and her father was not the type to ignore the law.  Ever since then she's been at odds with him, putting her alignment somewhere around CG or CN.  Not sure yet why she's come to this city (does the city have a name yet?) or joined the mercenary group.  I gave her War and Glory domains for her deity, so she's going to worship Valkyrie, Goddess of Warriors.

I'd like to avoid being an evil character, since (if I'm understanding the rules properly) I can turn any of my spells into Cure spells if I'm good- or neutral-aligned, but if I go evil, I get Inflict spells instead.  Unless Nicci's willing to let me fudge that bit - after all, not evil clerics deal with undead, and evil people need healing too.

And Nicci, do you mind if I reroll the 7 I got for an ability score or the 1 I got for one of my hit dice?

Yeah just re-roll those stats. Also that background is quite nice, since it mens traveling out of your homeland and into human lands. That way, being a kittygirl in this city is something quite exotic.

Excellent, thanks.  I still don't know why Ryoko left her hometown or why she met up with the rest of the group (might have to see other people's backstories for ideas there).

Anyway, I need feats and magic items.  Any suggestions would be welcome.  For a weapon, I'm debating between a greatsword (higher critical range) and greataxe (higher critical damage), but beyond that I'm not sure at all.

Well actually nothing stops you from still being lawful good. After all the gambling could very well be legal and done in a method that does not break the alignment. Hell I played a lawful good PALADIN that was fine with slavery because it was an established norm of the world and handled it in a decent matter. Its not totally impossible.

Fair enough, although now that I've come up with ideas for her backstory that don't involve her being lawful I kinda don't want to change back :P.  So, probably neutral or chaotic good, unless that's still going to clash with the party.

CG would be best, and your backstory is plenty naughty. Since you are in a foreign land, you being LG in there would be weird. Since it is a different culture and different customs. Like how in your homeland things like nudity and public orgies and what not would just be fantastic. You are a kittygirl, they have no decency!

Ahem:
- I wouldn't worry about critical damage, since that rarely occurs. If you are going two handed, then might as well get a weapon that has a high base damage, and not worry about critical damage. That and take monkey grip feat, which allows you to two hand a weapon a size category larger then what you are capable of. A catgirl in armor wielding a axe larger then she is, oh my!
- Bag of holding.
- Armband of Maximized Healing(MIC) 7200gp ....3/day Maximize Healing Spell(6th lvl and under)
- Amulet of Endure Elements.
- At least +2 magic armor.

Im NG so that is no problem whatsoever to me. Oh and is it possible to do non lethal damage in the form of causing wardrobe malfunction upon my potentially female opponents?

I selected Animate Rope, though I don't plan on using it in the field as much as other... more private quarters.  ;)

That would be a sundering attempt, to do some de-clothing. Speaking of which, you guys will be needed to get some naughty bunnygirl employees to run the 2-3 so gambling tables. That and getting the decorations and other equipment.

I already got a building made, just need to add the basement and such. You`ll have a pool as well, since why the shit not?

Is there a backstory of the founding of our Mercenary group or is it just something that happened as the characters got to know eachother with a common interest?
