The premise of this story arc is a young gal from Texas taking her college visits. Her plan is to stay in state, preferably Texas Christian University or Baylor. However, one of the scholarship offers (volleyball, gymnastics, etc.) she's received is to the University of Nevada Las Vegas. For financial reasons, she decides that it would be probably be in her best interest to explore all school options.

I see the character as being very demure, shy, modest. She's not traveled outside of TX, with her comfort zone being at home, spending time with family, and being involved in the church.

She most likely won't make the trek alone, maybe a sibling or father accompanying her, as a new city (no matter where it is) can be a scary place. The entirety of the trip will be approximately 1 week.

What will the Las Vegas experience be like for this girl? Additionally, how will an administration/coach react to being spurned for another school?

This is the point of collaboration I wish to develop with another writer. Bonus points to an individual(s) who know the area well and can incorporate a true realistic sense to the story. However, this is by no means a necessity.
