Thinking of buying this, anyone played it? Comments?

My O&Os Peruse at your doom.

So I make a A&A thread but do I put it here?  No.  Of course not.

Also, I now come with Kung-Fu Blog action.  Here:  Where I talk about comics and all sorts of gaming

The Living Card Game by Fantasy Flight Games..

Like a trading card game, except (assuming it works like the CoC LGC), booster packs aren't randomized, but come in packs/boxes (usually boxes) with a specific, pre-defined set of cards, typically split evenly between factions and all following a certain thematic element expressed in different mechanics unique to that faction.

That's the one yeah. What's your opinion on the way they work as compared to a regular trading card game like Magic the Gathering?

TheGlyphstone

Meh. It's fun, and I liked the CoC version's gameplay, but it seemed like you'd end up with more unused cards than you would with randomized boosters - you spend more money with randomized cards, but you're more likely to find someone who wants your spares to trade, where with the LCG they can just buy their own box with the cards they wanted, and both sides end up with unwanted extras.
