Ironic; I never notice a Naruto on E period, and the first time I go to post an interest check, someone else has already done so.

However, Snowe doesn't seem to want any more people in her game, and the character-type she wants is rather different from what I'm looking for anyways. So, if there's anyone who liked the idea of a Naruto RP, but either missed the chance to get into Snowe's game or like the idea of playing older/more experienced characters should definitely give this a look :)

So, I'm looking for a game that focuses on group of Chuunin/Jounin (ideally, some sort of joint-village squad, but I need to hammer out the plot details still). Ideally, the characters would be 18+, but that's not a requirement. I don't intend on this game being sex-driven by any means; I want the option open, but I don't want it to be the main thing (so try to cut back on the sex-based jutsu a little xP).

For characters, like I said, Chuunin and Jounin. For clans, pick your poison pretty much; if it's a clan that should be extinct and such (Uchiha, Kaguya, etc), then count on me to find an excuse for it to be available. I'm not sure how much regulation I want to put on the strength of characters; on the one hand, I don't want to have to systemize the whole thing, but on the other hand I'd hate to have to be stepping in all the time to tell players to tone it down. Maybe some input on that'd be nice. Obviously, I don't want to see characters with an (Eternal) Mangekyo Sharingan or a Rinnegan, and I'm not sure about jinchuuriki yet.

To get some thoughts rolling, I typically set my games either in an alternate reality (where the current plot isn't an issue), or in a future time period where the current cast has since become deceased (As a rule, I loathe involving canon characters in my RPs). Some thoughts on which of these players would prefer would be nice as well :)

That's all I've got to say at this point. Hope I catch some eyes :)

SOme interest here, but I'd like to hear a bit more of the idea first

Ironic, given I was hoping the players would help provide some direction :P

Tentatively, I'm thinking of a game either in an AU or the future where, for a reason I haven't come up with, a multi-village squadron of some sort is selected to complete some sort of task, or face some kind of special enemy. The idea would be that all the players would be a member of this (for lack of a better word) joint taskforce. The game would then focus on them working to achieve their goal, allowing for relationships, both sexual and nonsexual, to develop.

If that didn't help, please think of some more specific questions, if for no other reason to prompt me to find the answer ^_^

Snowe

Hi!~

I noticed your RP and thought I'd come sort a few things out, as I think you've gotten the wrong wires crossed dewd.

Firstly, I'm uh..I'm not a girl? I mean, there's a male sign..right over there. Male sign..totes.

So anyway! Secondly, I did actually say that as soon as we get this team started, if anyone else wanted to join then other teams could be made, or I could separate the characters into three different teams, making more characters.

Also, mine isn't actually sexual-driven either; I even put a rule that people could just lol-sex right in the middle of a mission or something, 'cus..well that'd be offputting wouldn't it? Seeing two random genin getting it on when you're getting your ass kicked. Total douche move.

In fact, I would prefer the three teams thing, as making missions and stories for one large squad is difficult, where as making them for three small teams is much easier, now isn't it.

Anyway, two notes on this:

1. You can both join if you like, I can always change it around a little, we still haven't started yet. And..

2. You shouldn't talk about people like that, it's sorta rude.  ::)

So, yeah, anyway, I'd love to see you in my RP too Kaiten! We need good players too ^_^
My frozen dairy beverage bringeth all the gentlefolk to the yard and they claim, 'Surely, tis better than thine! Surely, tis better than thine!' I'd instruct you, though I must levy a fee.

Snowe

Oopers, spell-checked. I meant Kaiten -and- Krayz! Stupid me huh?
My frozen dairy beverage bringeth all the gentlefolk to the yard and they claim, 'Surely, tis better than thine! Surely, tis better than thine!' I'd instruct you, though I must levy a fee.

Krayz

While I totally accept and apologize for the gender error, mate, I really think you're getting your back up a bit too much on this one.

I made sure to say "doesn't seem to want any more people". I also said the character type you wanted was different; not inferior, not stupid, not bad. Just different. I think you got way too bent out of shape over this whole thing when, aside from the already-acknowledged mistake, there was nothing rude intended or even conveyed.

And all I mean by character type is that I was thinking characters in the range of older Chuunin and Jounin, while you seem to be running more in the range of Genin teams with their sensei. As I said, it was not to insult or try and steal from your game, which is well under way, but just to see if people wanted something in the scheme of what I was offering.

Krayz

A bump of sorts.

Still very interested in running this roleplay, and I'm hoping that the person continuing Snowe's game won't feel quite as threatened by this.

As mentioned above, while the other game (which I'm happy to see seems to be running successfully) is focused more on Genin teams, this game would be more about Chuunin and older shinobi. I'd say a 16+ age minimum for characters. I still haven't quite decided where to go on the plot, but I'm definitely looking on some input from interested players.

If you're looking for something with Genin, then please see Vaulera's continuation of the game begun by Snowe; it appears to be well on its way to completition, and I'm sure would appreciate a few more players. For those looking for more adult (not just the sexual sense) characters, please speak up and we can start talking.

Marie Reynolds

Hmm I would be interested would the smaller villages would be welcome?

rachelongaku

Consider me in!

*Dusts off a Hyuga character*
Haven't been here in years but I'm in need of a good distraction!

Krayz

@Marie: That would be one of the reasons I'm trying to find a plot that would result in a multi-village force, without it being some ridiculous world-ending doomity-doom, lol.

@Rachel: I'm a Hyuga fan myself; eager to see what you come up with!

Plotwise, I figure that some sort of dangerous criminal/organization that has proven a threat to every nation would be a sufficient motivation for a joint-village taskforce, without being some overblown uberplot. On the other hand, it seems mind-numbingly cliche. Thoughts?

Marie Reynolds

Hmm how about a natural disaster response in area that may affect multiple nations economies

Krayz

Aside from the fact that I'm not really accepting profiles yet, there are two main issues I can point out with this character:

I'm a bit of a canon stickler, and so your main ability has me a little wary. I don't have issue with new Hiden and such, but I need you to explain it in terms of the principles of the series' techniques; how is this being done based on the ideas of chakra and such? Aside from that, I don't have too much issue with the ability, so long as it isn't overdone. If possible, come up with multiple techniques that make use of the clan's ability; like, one ability to absorb heat, another to inject it, one to channel drawn heat into a fire technique, etc...

The one thing I *do* need to comment on is your specialities. Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu. You're telling me he's a specialist at everything? This is just plain silly. Even characters who are highly capable in all areas (Kakashi, Itachi, Sasuke) are known for their particular ability in one, maybe two, kinds of techniques. Being a jack-of-all-trades is fine, but you'd have to understand that a master of comparable skill level could trump your abilities in their area of expertise (though you would likely have the edge in the other areas).

The story could use a little depth, as well, and a little less Sue; he did everything better than his peers, with no issues, etc, etc. The characters in this game should be upper class, but they shouldn't be Sannin-style prodigies.

Swordsman18

True, and what I meant be specialties they are in ranked order he is better at A than B and better at B than C yet the most others are in a D ranking of jutsu ability so like he is standard at medical things. His background does need work so I shall work on that. Partly it was submitted that way as to show others that Sues aren't welcome and see how you would regulate it.

The chalra part of his ability will be worked on but I have ideas.

I want to give people the evil stare. Sharingan. woooo!

Am I the only one pondering on using Tsukuyomi for sexual stuff? *innocent whistle*

errr.. showing my interest in this? :P

Yeah, if you want to come up with a weird excuse for why you has an uchiha running around feel free to prod me in.

rachelongaku

When it comes to sexual stuff in the Naruto world, I wonder how kinky the Akimichi clan gets.
Haven't been here in years but I'm in need of a good distraction!

Swordsman18

I would want to be spared thinking about what the Aburame do sexually, insects are not supposed to be used that way...

Krayz

@Swordsman: I agree fully on the not-thinking-about-bugs-with-sex. As for things like medical jutsu, you'd have to list skills like that specifically; it's not run-of-the-mill by any means.

@Deva: I'm fully for having Uchiha players; I myself am an Uchiha fan. However, I'm going to say from the outset that unless you have a DAMN fine story to earn it, you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of having a Mangekyo Sharingan. Putting aside all concerns of the plot and the scale of ability it offers, it's the thing that gives Uchiha a bad name among fans, and I have no interest in seeing it abused.

@Rachel: I see what you did thar!

rachelongaku

Ah. I can't wait. So, we don't have an official plot yet? We just know that we want to include all the different villages and for the characters to be older?
Haven't been here in years but I'm in need of a good distraction!

Krayz

I was kind of hoping to discuss the plot :)

See, I've been considering a joint force to track down a criminal, but that seems very cliche.

Someone else recommended a disaster affecting multiple nations, but most disasters could be handled by one village alone.

Other thoughts? Anyone who's interested, by the way, could join me on Yahoo Messenger to talk in real time.

Krayz

So, Rachel and I had a little talk, and we decided on a criminal plot. Essentially, the two of us will be playing a pair of missing-nin; hers is going to be a violent psycho, while mine is going to be a heartless manipulator. We'll both also be playing members of the taskforce assigned to capture them and their associates.

Everyone playing will be allowed to play a member of each side; one on the side of the hunters, the other on the side of the hunted.

Swordsman18

I am not sure allowing people to play both sides of the fence is a good idea as it either inflates the cast or makes it so that it is hard to keep track of. With Rachel and you it makes sense since you both are the GMs so it is your responsibility to do such things.

Krayz

#21
A good point. We'll see what the rest of the potential players think (if more appear).

EDIT: to offer a little explanation for setting. I like to set my games in an AU where Tobi didn't exist. It changes a lot. No Uchiha Clan Massacre, and I'm going to take a stretch that the Kaguya clan could survive their silly little civil war due to some Kage-level mercy without the Fourth Mizukage being manipulated.

And then, just to keep any canon characters out of the mix, set things about a hundred years later. We're at the 6th/7th kages of each village. The bijuu are still essentially insane, we'll assume, etc.

And here's a character sheet:

Name: Given
Age: Given
Gender: Given
Village: Preferably one of the five great Villages. Put a strike through the name for a missing-nin.
Rank: For most characters, this would be Chuunin, Tokubetsu Jounin, or Jounin.
Titles: This refers both to positions that a character has (ANBU, Academy Instructor, etc), and to aliases and monikers (The Copy Cat Ninja, Pain, etc).

Description: The character’s physical appearance, attire, etc. Pictures are allowed, or at least a medium-length paragraph.
Personality: Tell us about your character’s personality; what they like, what they dislike; their motivations; their mannerisms; their beliefs, or anything else about how they think, feel and act.
Biography: This is where you write down your character’s history, in as much depth as you can manage, preferably. Try not to God Mode Sue the hell out of your character; do not have them walloping Jounin out of the cradle, or winning their Chuunin Exam without a scratch; and don’t Emo Sue the crap out of them either, with an entirely dead clan, and nobody who loves them. Make them realistic, with realistic limitations, and realistic amounts of tragedy and joy in their stories. If you have to make them miserable pricks, however, then at least make it a good story.

Abilities:
Write down, in paragraph form, what kinds of abilities your character has, both in and outside of combat. Included in this are your elemental affinities, any bloodline abilities (kekkei genkai) your character has, and what particular styles of fighting and techniques your character likes to use. It’s important to note that, in most cases, your character’s Abilities will be derived from your Stats; a character will know more and more powerful techniques from the stat they have high scores in. Also note that the Stats and the Abilities are intended to work in tandem; a character’s high stats only measure their effectiveness with the abilities they possess; a character with a 5 in Ninjutsu doesn’t know how to use nearly every ninjutsu technique in the world, but instead uses very powerful techniques of a particular type with great skill. Also note that while one can see a character’s weaknesses in general terms by looking at their stat spread, the specific vulnerabilities of a character are covered in the Abilities section; every technique has a weakness, and the vulnerabilities of a character’s technique can be a greater decider in who wins and who loses than their stats. No matter how powerful your technique is, if a character has an immunity to it (a blind character versus visual genjutsu, for example), then you are most likely going to lose unless you have another ability to fall back on.

Etcetera: If there’s anything that doesn’t fit in above, then throw it down here. An important thing to note is that you should feel free to ADD to this sheet, if you have anything you think is missing or would be good to add. Do not SUBTRACT from it, however. And if anything is too small to be worth editing the sheet for, just throw it down here.

Marie Reynolds

Hmm well it may be difficult to run but it could be interesting to see how things develop and how through RP will how the sides will wind up at the climax.  My question would be if the village of the hidden waterfall would be alright?

Name: Hyuuga Hitomi
Age: Nineteen
Gender: Female
Village: Konoha
Rank: Jounin
Titles: Hyuuga Heiress

Description: Personality: Hitomi is almost the definition of a 'good girl'. For the most part she does what she's told and what's expected of her. Above all of that she cares for her friends and for her clan. She would gladly lay down her life for Konoha and many know how well she could be depended on. Because of her upbringing she's very polite and sweet.
Biography: She is the heiress to the Hyuga Clan and was very sheltered as a child. Hitomi was constantly watched and supervised by one of her parents at all times. She even began training almost as soon as she could walk. The training paid off, being the most talented in her clan for her generation. However, she haa one unfortunate disadvantage. For some unexplainable reason, her byakugan occasionally 'shorts out'. Luckily her byakugan has been mores stable in recent years, but it still occurs one or two times a week.
During her Chunin exam she was severely injured. Because of her weakened state she was unable to use her Byakugan. For some reason it left her without her Byakugan for over a year. She wasn't even sure if she'd be able to use it every again. Because of that the Hokage recommended that she become a med-nin. So during that year she trained hard. The chakra control she'd gained due to her clan's abilities gave her an advantage and she is an above average med-nin.
While Hitomi isn't the most talented shinobi in all of Konoha, she is well known for her special talents. She still has many weaknesses, such as her genjutsu and her strength.

Abilities:

Hitomi has the same abilites as her clan. She posesses the byakugan and many of the main clan's special jutsu's. She's strong in ninjutsu and taijutsu along with medninjutsu and intelligence. Her speed is average while she is deficient in her genjutsu and strength.

Etcetera: Hitomi is a bi-curious virgin. She isn't purposely remaining a virgin. She just wants to be with someone who cares about her for the first time.
Haven't been here in years but I'm in need of a good distraction!

Name:  Shinigawa Daisuke
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Village: Konoha
Rank: Jounin
Titles: ANBU

Description: http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs37/f/2008/254/6/8/Cold_Water_V_by_nAgLiMaNtAs.jpg

In the picture he is seen without his mask that is white and is very plain with only red streaks to denote where his eyes are, he wears a utility belt that carries shurikens, kunai, scrolls, and any other spare small equipment essential for battle.

Personality: He is a person that is temperamental being typically warm and caring to those that he cares about and gets to know. He is much more cold and tactical to those that he just meets or is an enemy. With his time as a ninja he prefers to stay in more supportive role of his colleagues, not being too flashy or taking kills from others, he is just there to make sure the exit is covered, every enemy is confirmed dead, the mission is completed and everyone gets out alive.

His main motivation is to be a great ninja to show that even those who are christened as average can be exceptional ninja.

Biography: He was a person that was born in the city to a decent family of ninja that were decent with both of them being Academy Instructors, so this meant that he got training early but it was not specialized it was only the basics such as learning to channel his chakra efficiently. He still did not perfect it before he made it to the Academy. He took his classes seriously but was only about mid range much as his parents were. His teachers took note of the fact that he did well with what he had but he was still not going anywhere but the middle of his class.

Being in the middle did have its advantages as he was not all that paid attention to allowing him a little more practice in his spare time but nothing really seemed to help when going up against the likes of the Uchihas or the Hyuugas or the Aburames or the Inzukas who all seemed to have that special touch of their heritage behind them, something that he was not graced with.

All this did was get him to focus more and to hit the books even harder to become better with what he had, he moved a notch or two up the standing before graduation where he was placed in his squad with a Hyuga, and a Nara, Both of them were excellent at what they did and he respected them for it yet at the same time wished he was as lucky as they were. Seeing this, his squadmates helped him train and train till he could actually fight them on a fair level.

This helped the team tremendously as it seemed that a seemingly average ninja was now a part of a squad that was quick to complete missions and move up the ranks. It was hard work as he constantly needed to train against the two of them as they progressed with them keeping him on their level the whole time so that the Chunnin exams were hard, but he made it through with a few broken bones and a good six week long hospital stay.

He was positive and persevering through all of their adventures together even as they made it to being Jounin on an ANBU team.

Abilities:
Daisuke is of the fire affinity with good chakra channeling capabilites. To enhance this he uses elements of the Strong Fist that he learned in school and from other squadmates as well as the Chakra Enhancement Style to thus enhance the strength and speed of his blows. He knows the various levels of the flame bullet (Flame Bullet, Great Fireball Technique, Flame Dragon Bullet used with Earth Dragon Bullet, Phoenix Sage Fire Technique,  and will use them at a distance to possibly burn or distract while he closes the distance between them or increases it depending upon the context. He has a liking of the Shadow Clone Justu though is only able to produce two of good quality at a time usually doing so for missions to throw enemies off in which to close the gap between them so that he can go for a kill or escape. If he is close to his opponent and either wants to ensure their death and their are susceptible to it, he would use Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death. Also in crowds he would use the Temple of Nirvana Technique to minimize the amount of collateral damage or use it if he is concealed to put his enemies to sleep allowing him to finish them off.

There are a few methods available to him in which to finish an opponent off or to use a powerful technique in which to do so, use his derivative of the 100% Punch by channeling the chakra in his arms to do massive amounts of damage to his opponent.

If there weren't already flaws in the character that are quite clear it still is good to point such things out.  Also, he is more of a close range combatant meaning that though he can do damage at long ranges with his fireball techniques, the guaranteed death is only when someone gets closer. He is sufficient in jutsu but is by no means a master, meaning that those with more higher ranked jutsu will easily outclass him. Especially since a lot of his justsu are something that are more basic, they are easy to avoid and easy to counter with their uses widely known making all of them fairly predictable. This would become a dangerous thing when going up against a person with the Sharingan as he would have no real countermeasure against them.

Etcetera:

@Marie: Yes, Hidden Waterfall is allowed :)

@Swordsman: I approve this *tentatively*. I'll tell you right now that nothing bothers me more than world-of-cardboard power limits; limits that only exist because your character is pulling their punches. For one, it reeks of Sueness, and for second it means that your "limitation" only exists as long as you can't twist the situation to fit your conditions.

@Rachel: Looking good so far :)

Stories are easy to contrive, and didn't know there was a bad name among fans; whatever fans do the naming seem to not understand the darker concepts of the clan - for power you need to sacrifice or do nasty things.

Either way, your setting suggestion, you are free to rule out things on personal preferances, and I'm free to wait till the next Naruto idea pops up.

Krayz

@Sword: There was no need to change the character as much as you did. I actually liked the ability; I just didn't like the way you made it that he had this awesome technique that he just "never" uses. First rule; a characters ALWAYS uses the ability they "never" use EVENTUALLY. I was just warning you not to powerplay or anything.

@Deva: Sasuke is almost universally hated by anyone who doesn't gush all over him because Kishi uses his (Mangekyo) Sharingan as a "make Sasuke as badass as I need him to be" card. It offers advantage in every form of combat, and nine times out of ten any character with a Sharingan tends to mop the floor with their opponent. Then just throw Izanagi/Izanami into the mix... It's basically become the God-Mode Sue of the Naruto world.

Again, feel free to play an Uchiha; I'm still on the fence about playing one myself (probably a good guy, just to avoid the Uchiha-villain stereotype). And I'm even tempted to snag a Mangekyo Sharingan, simply because I love designing the patterns for them. Just don't use the Sharingan as an excuse to powerplay. And anytime you get the idea of the Uchiha as a clan for "power at any cost", remember Itachi and Shisui.

To avoid potential problems I will keep it as is since it is the fourth version anyway. I could always use the ability and background for something else later as I do have it saved.

Also as a note there was a weakness that I forgot to point out in the original Daisuke, due to the incident in childhood with his now more temperature sensitive skin it is actually painful or harmful to wield the ability. I did mention it when I was talking about his skin but forgot to point out how that related to the ability. But that doesn't really matter now, I just still thought I should point it out.

Roleplay Frog

Kishi uses the Kyuubi to give naruto a free boost whenever he needs it too, congrats, you have just found out what a plotdevice power is.

Sharingan is the usual sacrifice ability. Remember Itachi? he practically died by overuse of his eyes. Izanagi is the prime example. use one eye permanently. interesting that you use that example, seeing as you said.. not sure on approving Kyuubi yet, Kyuubi are equally nasty.. and have no drawbacks. lovely aren't they.

So  you shout me out on Mangekyo but want one for yourself possibly, also when someone is doing something unusual with their character it is sue'ing, when you do it it is breaking with stereotypes?(Exemptions do not a rule make).

Yeah, I'm stepping down from that, you don't seem to be an overly nice person.

Krayz

Moving on. Now have an Uchiha hero as a WIP. Need to go to work soon, but I should have him posted this evening.

Name: Kyriu Kaguya
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Village: Village Hidden in the Mist
Rank: Jounin
Titles: One of the Lost Bloodline
Description:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Personality: Kyriu's strange bloodline make her naturally alienated, growing up in the hidden mist didn't help her either. This dark upbringing made her quite withdrawn, very quiet but on the inside feeling quite keenly, compartmentalizing it. Past the silence, Kyriu can be quite fierce, a perfect personality for a ninja to have.
Biography:   Kyriu was born out of wedlock to a member of the Kaguya clan who had gone far from their village, forsaking the strange power for a normal life. Her father settled down with a moderately well off farm girl and they moved into the hidden mist to make a living off of a small ninja supply shop, forging custom items and regular tools. Kyriu grew up around ninja tools and many of her father's friends, a few whom were ninja. This exposure gave her an affinity to the job and at the standard age, joined the ninja academy. Although her ninjutsu skills were slightly worse than average and her genjutsu was plain awful, Kyriu excelled at taijutsu, coming out at the top of her class physically, always able to take more hits and deal just as many in sparring. Her innate bloodline manifested itself when she was in the stages of her chuunin exams at konoha, an extra bone sprouting from her forearm. When she got back from the exam (passing just barely), Kyriu questioned her father and found out about the special power she had in her blood. With tutoring from her father and training from her mentors, Kyriu developed into a valuable asset, almost impossible to best in hand-to-hand and very resilient, although her ninjutsu skills never improved much. With the support of her mother and father, Kyriu advanced well in the ranks of the shinobi, attaining Jounin status and the respect of her fellows. But her distanced attitude made her loyalties fragile and Kyriu was manipulated and made mad, so she fled from her village and killed a retrieval squad, solidifying her place as a hidden-nin and the bingo book.

Abilities:  Kyriu has the unique bloodline that kimmimaro had, the ability to manipulate her bones into sharp weapons and nigh unbreakable shields, augmenting her spectacular taijutsu with a weapon-like body. Her particular taijutsu style revolves around thrusts with her arms and sweeps with her legs, aiming to impale or bleed the opponent. Another objective for her style is to land a reversal, either grabbing with the arms and bear hugging the victim into a sharp and brutal ribcage, or holding the attacking punch, to impale with her arms. The only drawback to the bloodline is the range, her only method of ranged attack being to shoot sharpened fingerbones and throwing an hardened tibia, making her vulnerable to long ranged types. Her greatest ally is surprise, landing a reversal and impaling before her target knows about her unique ability. Aside from this bloodline, Kyriu has an affinity to water and knows the hidden mist and water prison jutsu, as shown by Zabuza, complimenting her close quarters style.

Etcetera: Nothing came to mind, may add later.

Name: Uchiha Karasu
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Village: Konohagakure
Rank: Jounin
Titles: ANBU (former), "Mayakashi no Myoushu" (Master of Deception)

Personality:
Karasu is a soft-spoken young man, often seeming very carefree and relaxed. Much of the time Karasu seems to be lost in thought, staring off into the distance with a pondering smile on his face. He takes a great enjoyment from subtle jibes and wordplay, though rarely in a particularly hurtful manner. While he tends to be rather quiet, Karasu is a friendly companion who does his best to keep his teammates in good cheer. In fact, those who meet Karasu outside of the battlefield and know his full history often wonder how such a mild-mannered man could have been a former squad leader in the ANBU Black Ops, as well as have such a dark reputation among his enemies.

Underneath Karasu's laid-back exterior lies a soul hardened by cynicism and determination. Karasu takes very little at face value, and doubts almost everything he sees or hears. While he is easy to get along with, he is difficult to win over as a true friend. Those who do earn his friendship however can count on him to die for them, if it comes down to it. Karasu is as cold and hard as steel, willing to do what is necessary to protect those he loves. If his hands are stained with blood in the process, then it is the price his soul must pay for his happiness, as he sees it. More than anything, he wishes to shield those he sees as better from as much of the harsh realities of the world as he can manage.

In battle, when push comes to shove, Karasu is a ruthless strategist. While he will avoid going for the kill with those he can afford to hold back against, he will not waste time with honour or mercy, slaying his enemies with brutal efficiency. In the same relentless devotion to his duty, he can torture captured enemies without batting an eye, though doing so tears him up inside. Throughout his history, he has served Konohagakure as an interrogator and as an assassin, and regrets nothing save the necessity for it.

Biography:

Many years ago, in the time of the Fourth Hokage, the Uchiha clan nearly began a civil war within Konohagakure. Only through the intervention of its younger generations was the attempted cout d'etat pushed down. If Konoha had been wracked by revolution, the balance of power in the world would have shifted. A war would have been almost inevitable. And while most of the survivors of the clan were those who had remained loyal, a black mark remained upon the clan for many years.

It was into this reputation for treachery that Karasu was born. More than any other, the Uchiha clan required the utmost dedication and the most peerless service from its membership, in hopes of clearing their name. While they had lost much of their prestige in the uprising, they had barely maintained their control of Konoha's Military Police, albeit under heavy surveillance from the ANBU. Thus, Karasu, like his cousins and siblings, was trained from a young age to be a servant and protector of the village, taught to do whatever was necessary to protect Konoha and the Uchiha clan.

In truth, he likely would have been happier born into a different life. Karasu was an introspective youth, often given to spending his time alone pondering whatever question caught his fancy. He did not excel in his lessons at the same level his more dedicated relatives did, but he was still considered a skilled student by the standards of Konoha's Ninja Academy, and by the age of eleven he had been promoted to the rank of genin. Karasu's sensei was a former student of the newly appointed Hokage, Uzumaki Jyrai. In his sensei, Karasu found someone to speak of the deep thoughts that he often dwelled on; for the first time in his life, he had found someone who spoke of more than duty.

Over the next two years, Karasu developed a powerful bond with his two teammates; a young swordsman named Hakujin Tetsu, and Megumi Ayame, an aspiring medic-nin. Together with their sensei, Ookami Kenji, they traveled across the Land of Fire. At first, their missions consisted of the simple tasks often assigned to genin, but as their skill and reputation grew, they began catching thieves. From there, they moved on to capturing bandits. By the time Karasu was twelve years old, he had awakened his Sharingan, as well as killed his first man. While he did not show it, it took Karasu days to work through his guilt. Over the next year, he began to harden. Even his teammates were often surprised by Karasu's methods.

Karasu graduated to the rank of chunin a little after he turned thirteen, and was immediately taken in for training by Konoha's ANBU. Even more than before, Karasu learned to do whatever was necessary to protect the village. After a year, the village began employing Karasu as an assassin, sending him on missions to kill powerful men whose ambitions and interests threatened Konohagakure or the Land of Fire. Even among the ANBU, Karasu became known for the cruelty of his methods, as he often used his abilities at deception to drive his targets into a panic, waiting until their fear drove them to slip up before moving in for the perfect kill. Among enemy shinobi, word spread of a young Uchiha who could never be pinned down, who spread terror in his wake. Several villages put "the Master of Deception" into their Bingo Books.

Eventually, Karasu was removed from his duties as an assassin, and was transferred to a position among the Torture and Interrogation Force. His mastery of genjutsu became even more infamous among the right circles, his skill at breaking the will of enemy shinobi becoming almost legendary. Even more than when he was younger, the young Uchiha spent his time alone. Sometimes, it was the same as it had always been; questions of truth dominating his mind. But as often as not, he needed the solitude in order to come to grips with his own ruthlessness.

At the age of twenty, after four years of service in the Torture and Interrogation Force, Karasu requested to be removed from active duty among the ANBU. He took up a position among the Konoha Military Police, like many members of his clan. Occasionally, however, the Hokage would request Karasu to temporarily resume active duty among the ANBU, though never for more than the occasional mission.

Abilities:

Genjutsu
Karasu's skill with genjutsu is infamous. He is well-known to be one of the most skilled users of genjutsu in the Uchiha clan, if not all of Konohagakure. Karasu has at his disposal a plethora of genjutsu techniques that he can use for a variety of purposes. Karasu can use the potent Kokuangyo no Jutsu to blind his opponents, or can alter their perception of terrain using the Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu. Using the Narakumi no Jutsu, Karasu can force a person to confront their worst fears, either as a form of torture or to incapacitate them. With the Kori Shinchu no Jutsu, he can divert his targets from reaching their intended destination, serving a variety of purposes. He can also create a vast number of illusions of himself that disperse into a cloud of smoke when struck using his Kemuri Jusha no Jutsu (a variation of the genjutsu used by Amegakure ninja). These are only the most well-known of the illusions in Karasu's arsenal.

Sharingan
Karasu's incredible skill with genjutsu is exponentially supplemented by his mastery of his clan's kekkei genkai, the Sharingan. Enjoying all the benefits of the famous dojutsu, Karasu makes the most use of its powerful genjutsu abilities. With his Sharingan, Karasu is capable of breaking free from most genjutsu himself, and can even turn them back on their users using the Kyo Tenchi-ten. As well, Karasu gains access to several powerful genjutsu available only to wielders of the Sharingan, including the Kasegui no Jutsu and the fearsome Utakata, which traps his opponents in a versatile illusion under his control. Most fearsome of all, Karasu can use his Sharingan to catch an opponent in a genjutsu simply through eye contact.

Bunshinjutsu
While Karasu's skill with genjutsu is his greatest asset, his mastery of clone techniques is only slightly less. He is highly skilled in the use of the powerful Kage Bunshin no Jutsu; while he cannot maintain more than a few clones at a time, he is an expert in using them to their full advantage. In addition to his skill with the normal Kage Bunshin technique, he can also use the technique to multiply any shuriken that he throws through the Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Finally, he is capable of turning one of his shadow clones into a bomb through the Bunshin Daibakuha technique.

Other Ninjutsu
Karasu is an expert in the use of shuriken and kunai. In addition to having incredible accuracy even without the use of his Sharingan, he has mastered a number of techniques such as the Kage Shuriken no Jutsu, where he throws a second shuriken underneath the first as a second attack, and the Soshuriken no Jutsu, where the user can guide their shuriken with lines of ninja wire; Karasu's skill with this technique is particular impressive, as he can guide several shuriken in this manner with a single hand. He always keeps a large stock of shuriken and kunai available through use of the Raikou Kenka summoning technique.

Like most members of the Uchiha clan, Karasu has an affinity for Katon techniques. While elemental ninjutsu are not his forte, he is capable of using a number of Fire Release techniques, including the Goukakyuu no Jutsu used by the Uchiha clan as a rite of passage, the Hosenka no Jutsu, and the Ryuka no Jutsu. Karasu also picked up a number of other skills during his time in the ANBU. One of these is the Kanashibari no Jutsu, which allows him to paralyze an unwary opponent by touch.

Other Abilities
Karasu is a capable hand-to-hand combatant, though his physical strength is only average. His good reflexes combined with his Sharingan give him an edge against most opponents in close combat, though his speed is not on par with a real expert in taijutsu. While he does not often wield a sword, he is quite capable in the art of kenjutsu, another skilled acquired during his time in the ANBU. His ability in genjutsu denotes both precise chakra control and a keen mind. The former allows him to use his techniques with the utmost efficiency, countering his limited endurance. The latter can be seen in the elaborate strategies and deceptions that Karasu frequently employs in combat. He is a skilled infiltrator, as well as a capable tracker.

Etcetera: Karasu is a heterosexual male with dominant tendencies, sexually. He is a passionate lover, if a bit controlling, but is for the most part vanilla.

Once I saw the potential, I couldn't help meself ^_^;

I'm already in the other Naruto rp, but this one did catch my attention as well... Still deciding if I will join in or not.

An idea of playing as some Naruto's granddaughter has been crossing my mind. A heavy taijutsu user, supported by the kage bushin no jutsu and maybe a rasegan user. Not to count that, in the sex side, the kage bushin no jutsu puts the "play with yourself" in a whole new level. ;P

The question is, Krayz, you said that in this AU, there wasn't a Tobi. So, Naruto never became a bijuu, since it was Tobi who set the Kiuubi to destroy de village, forcing the 4th Hokage to seal it within Naruto? Some other questions came to me about him as well. I'm curious about the Naruto's story in this AU.

And you, my dear, are certainly intent on making me earn my players :P

And as for your question. It's very iffy. On the one hand, with Uzumaki blood Naruto would have been a good choice as a successor to Kushina as the host of the Kyuubi (I think the series indisputably proves this). But the issue becomes complicated when you consider Kushina (and likely Naruto's) heavily-extended lifespan. Naruto would have been a likely choice to replace Kushina if the Uzumaki aged normally, but by the time Kushina was in need of a replacement, they likely would have chosen one of Naruto's children. Or maybe even grandchildren.

And herein lies the fun part of this AU; unless he was killed in battle (distinctly possible, it must be admitted), Naruto would likely still be alive, and possibly even fighting-fit by this time. I think for the sake of convenience it should be assumed that he made it to the title of Hokage, and like the Third stepped down for a younger replacement (who would be the current Hokage).

I can extrapolate some more, of course, so if there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Vaulera

Just curious Annie, did that have anything to do with the hokage character I made for our roleplay? Naruto's granddaughter being hokage and sorta like him, named after jiraiya? That would be a weird but awesome kameo.

Annie

Hmmm... yeah, you can say that, Vaulera. Snowe was using the same concept for his char in another Naruto game that we tried to rp in another forum. So, I think you both can count as an inspiration to me. ;P

Right now I was thinking aobut picking another traits of Naruto for her: being stubborn, short fuse, dumb sometimes... just need to polish that. I'm even trying to find a good pic from Naruto in his sexy no jutsu form. ;P

And I'm thinking of putting some of the problems that Konohamaru went through to her as well. You know, lots of people can think that her life is easier because she is the granddaughter of the Hokage. She might have some work to be acknowledged by her skills and not by being the Naruto's granddaughter.

Just some concepts I'm still working. Would love to hear what you all think about this. ^^

Krayz

As long as you don't expect any traits related to the Nine-Tails, I think it's a cool idea :)

I'm glad I chose to make a Kiri shinobi, however; we're getting a little Konoha-heavy, lol.

Annie

Oh, no, she won't be a jinchuuriki. I hate overpowered chars. It's more fun and challenging to get of a tight situation with basic skills. ;P

rachelongaku

Updated some stuff on Hitomi. Don't know if I'm completely finished or not. But for right now I am.
Haven't been here in years but I'm in need of a good distraction!

Laughing Hyena

You're going to have another Mist Village Ninja soon enough. Though i need Valura's permission to use him. ^_^

Krayz

Sounds good, Hyena.

@Rachel: Looks good. I like the picture ^_^

@Annie: I'd like to point out, in all fairness, that Kage Bunshin is a B-rank technique. "Basic" is not the word I would use to describe it. But I definitely see your point, and agree with it :)

Annie

Lol, sure! Forgot about that, since Naruto learns it so early in the series. ;P

Krayz

Yeah.

A fun fact; despite Sasuke's Lion Combo being far more effective as a technique, it's C-rank is bested by Naruto's Uzumaki Combo, which is a B-rank technique simply because it uses Shadow Clones.

Vaulera

Permission? I said that applying was completely cool, though the spots may be getting tight, not sure how many krayz wants.

Let's do a quick tally:

Good Guys

Male
Krayz: Uchiha Karasu
Swordsman: Shinigawa Daisuke
Hyena: Juro Takeshi
Zaer: Tombaki Dain
Elias: Arashi Kuma

Female
Rachel: Hyuga Hitomi
Annie: Uzumaki Nanase
Marie: (Unknown) [expected]

Bad Guys
Krayz: Dokuja Hyoukai
Rachel: (unknown)
Vaulera: Kaguya Kyriu

So, that looks like a thorough layout of the current situation. Speaking as a heterosexual male, I would say we can always use more hot women :P But, being realistic, the probable ideal would be to get one more male member playing a hero; that provides gender balance, and enough good guys in order to have two four-man teams. We could take one more of either gender, and instead have three three-man teams, but I wouldn't push it any further.

And putting that aside for a minute, I'd like to take a census: is there anyone interested in playing a villain? Swordsman suggested that only Rachel and I be allowed to play as both heroes and villains. That raises two possibilities: should Rachel and I be the only ones playing villains, or would anyone like to switch to the dark side? Before answering either of those, however, I'd like to know the public feel on what Swordsman suggested.

Name: Takeshi Juro
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Village: Kirigakure
Rank: Chuunin
Titles: The Dragon Blooded

Description:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Personality: Aggressive in nature, Takeshi refuses to stay down when adversity comes his way. He is a firm believer in his own clans motto and plans to become much stronger so that he might prove himself worthy of carrying on the bloodline of his clan. In matters of Conflict he is quite unforgiving and only ceases an attack when he knows an opponent will not be able to fight back. Be it bondage or simply knocked out or killed. When it comes to matters of the heart he doesn't really know much about it. It is unknown to him though he does know that the point of it is major within his clan. He just hasn't had anyone set her eye on him or vice versa. His motivations are to strengthen his clan as a whole by adding new blood to the bloodline, namely his own. In order to ensure his bloodline continues onwards he must prove himself to be an asset and a formidable ninja. Not only to his clan but towards other Ninja clans as well.

Biography: The Chishio Clan take great pride in their lineage and when Takeshi was born they rejoiced for a new line was born into their tree. As an heir to the clan Takeshi is always expected to do his best and to never forget where his loyalties lie. They do what is needed to keep their clan alive and the village safe. This is what they know and it is thankless. However only the best may carry on their name. They accept this. Takeshi however seeks more and is unwilling to stay unknown and he desires to carry on his clans legacy. To do this he must prove himself worthy of that right.

However the Chisiho clans are selective in nature upon whom stays within their bloodline. And the path of the ninja doubles as a rite of passage. Not only must you survive as a ninja but also thrive and excel at your craft and the gifts one has been given. They see themselves as the elite of the elite and will only allow the elite to remain. Strength is valued within their clan and as such Takeshi has much to prove. He is but a Chunnin and aspires to become a full fledged Jounin. Then he could perhaps be welcomed back into the clan with open arms after his rite of passage, and worthy to exist.

-Creed of the Chishio-

Blood is within me and within all life.
Blood is their weakness and it is my strength.
Strength comes with enlightenment.
Enlightenment comes through suffering and pain.
Power is pain for my blood shall run free.

Abilities:

One of the members of the Chishio Clan, they have the unique ability to completely control their own bloodstream and have the distinguishing marks of blood red eyes for their eye color. Practitioners of rare techniques of ninjustu and taijustu which help focus their blood control into other variations they have a highly superstitious air around them due to the brutal nature of their techniques. Their blood has a remarkably high infusion of chakra due to their controlled legacy and rituals used during birth. They also do not bleed and have a natural immunity towards their own Blood Techniques due to that control they have.

They are held with a superstitious like hatred due to their blood techniques and those who identify or know of their heritage tend to react with lesser favor then normal seeing them as barbaric or even evil in nature because of it. Also as stated before their own Blood Jutsu does not work on another of the Chishio clan. Blood Jutsu also does not work on puppets or similar artificial creations that have no blood. Though born to the Hidden Village of Mist their chakra affinity is to fire.

Within combat his blood justu serve as a setup for a kill or incapacitation rather then the direct assault and work within combination of other jutsu he has mastered or his inventory to bait his opponent into critical mistakes. Other uses for blood techniques involve his skills within taijustu which he utilizes in conduction to put opponents off balance and strike when they are at a vulnerable spot. Known blood techniques he has are the Blood Lash Technique, Blood Puppet Technique, Burning Oil Technique and the Exploding Corpse Technique. (Detailed Below in etc) There are a good number of other blood jutsu to master that are higher in rank but he has yet to master any other techniques from his clan or develop new ones. One particular is a legendary and brutal technique called the Weeping Blood. A signature technique that causes the user to bleed from the tear ducts of his eyes, blood that has been deprived of oxygen. Few live to tell of the experiences of enduring the technique and fewer still claim to know it. In addition to Blood Jutsu he has a few masteries over some Water Jutsu though so far the pinnacle he can reach with Water Jutsu is Rank C. His Fire Affinity has not been expanded upon beyond rank D.

Outside of combat he has decent survival skills capable of being self sufficient for a considerable amount of time in proper environments and is capable of identifying plants of both edible and poisonous variants. Like any natural predator he is capable of hunting and foraging meat on top of this. Basic techniques of the Chishio Clan also come into play within social climates as they have an artistic side to them in the form of wet clay sculpting. Whilst this skill takes a backseat to many things it means he can craft some objects out of clay as this is a technique instilled to promote patience and creativity.

Etcetera:

Nenshou Abura no Justu - (Burning Oil Technique) This technique collects blood into the mouth of the practioner and lets the ninja expel it upon a victim, infused with chakra the blood takes on an oil like quality and superheats it to boiling levels to try and sear the opponent. Though there are clever uses of this technique in setting up more dangerous scenarios this is a strictly offensive maneuver. - Rank: D

Chisiho Rasshu no Justu - (Blood Lash Technique) Cutting the palm open, the user of this technique infuses his chakra into his bleeding wound to summon forth a barbed chain of red blood to be utilized as a weapon. Typically this offensive just is meant to ensnare a limb and then be tugged to tug at muscle and flesh though more creative variants exist or to capture an opponent. Skilled practitioners can create weighted chains and add additional combos with the chain via other techniques. - Rank: D

Chishiho Guujin no Justu - (Blood Puppet Technique) The ninja uses this technique typically by pricking or cutting the fingertips to allow blood to flow which is utilized with chakra to fling wires into an opponent's arms, legs and throat. In this fashion he can manipulate an opponent like a crude marionette or even a fresh corpse with more absolute control. This technique can be used for the purposes of making a living shield, a kamikaze puppet, or simply cause an opponents limbs to jerk and over exert as they move to throw them off balance, creating openings and setting traps. - Rank: C

Kibaku Shigai no Justu - (Exploding Corpse Technique) This brutal technique is utilized by the ninja infusing his chakra into a dead body to reanimate the blood and infuse an explosive property via explosive tags. When the ninja wishes, he releases chakra to flash boil the coagulated blood inside of the corpse, making it violently blow up. Victims are burned by the blood and cut and harmed by the bone that fragments from the explosion and also prone to disease. - Rank: C

Chishio Shingon no Justu - (Blood Mantra Technique) This technique makes use of any cloth stained with the ninja's blood, typically in the forms of bandages upon still bleeding wounds. The soaked bandages or cloth is then sharpened, animated and controlled through the chakra in the blood to serve as a weapon that can ensnare or cut. When combined with taijutsu this becomes a very deadly and effective method of keeping an opponent at bay or drawing someone whom prefers distance to be drawn into range of more dangerous attacks. The cloth can also be used to set up snare traps if saturated in blood. - Rank: B

Ryoushi Vijon no Justu - (Hunter Vision Technique) [UNKNOWN] This technique causes the ninja to become blind temporarily and usually involves a blindfold to effectively work. Pooling chakra into the eyes however he gains a new vision of clarity. For he becomes capable of sensing body heat within his surroundings, be they animal or human. So long as they have blood flowing through their veins they become capable of seeing them. Opening his eyes or removing the blindfold breaks the jutsu. - Rank: B

Naki Chishiho no Justu - (Weeping Blood Technique) [UNKNOWN] This is one of the most advanced of the Chishiho Techniques as the practitioner begins to weep actual blood which the chakra within the tear ducts denies oxygen giving it the distinct black coloring. When utilized his gaze becomes a weapon causing the blood in a single victim to rebel and try to escape the body through anyway it can. The process is painful though no debilitating and depending how injured the victim is can be slow and downright torture or it can be mercifully quick. In short a seriously injured person will lightly bleed out in under a minute whilst someone without any injuries has one to three minutes before losing enough blood. The user of this jutsu cannot break his gaze nor blink once his eyes lock with his victim or the jutsu breaks prematurely. Because it can only affect one target at a time it is ill advised against multiple hostiles. - Rank: A

Krayz

Hmmm...

Everything except that last one is fine, and even quite cool. I note you rather masterfully sneaking in a method of taking advantage of/countering the Kirigakure no Jutsu :P

I think my only issue with the last technique is how it's essentially impossible to counter. He looks at you, and you die. This would be less of an issue if you didn't have a previous ability that makes hiding (almost) completely impossible. You'll see someone no matter where they are, and the only way to deceive it would be to use a kage bunshin (because it's the only clone with blood). And once you see them, you can kill them.

I'll approve it with one concession; in order to use it on someone, you need to have some of their blood to create a bond between your blood-manipulating chakra and their own blood. And for the sake of consistency, I'd like that added to the Kibaku Shigai. I hope that's acceptable, because I honestly find this damn cool.

As a canon junkie who has almost cried himself to sleep over the horrible things people try and slip into the Narutoverse, I applaud you for something that is both cool and believable.

Laughing Hyena

Well the last one I can easily think of one thing that would make it have a serious draw back beyond what you suggest. It can only work on one person at a time and more then likely you'd have to lock gaze continuously to keep it working. Similar to itachi's signature move right?

The second one cannot combine with the other thus because he needs his eyes to make that work. The Ryoushi Vijon no Justu thus cannot combine with the Naki Chishiho no Justu eliminating your issues I think.

Yeah.

A fun fact; despite Sasuke's Lion Combo being far more effective as a technique, it's C-rank is bested by Naruto's Uzumaki Combo, which is a B-rank technique simply because it uses Shadow Clones.

Naruto is well known to dump down high rank techniques to his level to use and spam with his endless chakra endurance. Look for rasengan even; he needs shadow clones to pull it off in first place in normal and two clones in shuriken mode :P. But in a way Naruto is a clever genius even if he is dumb and stubborn.

Anyways good luck in the RP :). Looks interesting cast.

Annie

Krayz, can you give me more info about Naruto and his family? A couple of things like if he's still alive, if he's the hokage, how many kids he had... Need to know more about Uzumaki Nanase's family in this AU.

Oh, could be interesting as well to have some info about Naruto's powers in this AU. Did he learned the kage bushin, rasegan and rasenshuriken? Did he become a sage? Was he a jinchuuriki? If so, did he reach a state of balance with his bijuu?

For Nana's jutsus I was planning to put only the kage bushin and the rasegan. Powerful enough to my tastes. But I guess she would have to learn these jutsus, being the granddaughter of Naruto. Even Konohamaru learned these. ;P

“Fairy Tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” - G. K. Chesterton

Krayz

Okey dokey.

Uzumaki Naruto is still alive. He was appointed the Seventh Hokage of Konohagakure, though it was in fact the younger of his two sons who ended up becoming the new host of the Kyuubi. He ended up becoming one of the most powerful users of senjutsu in the history of the world. While Minato eventually learned how to combine his elemental affinity with the Rasengan, it was Naruto, through his use of sage chakra, who developed and mastered the Rasenshuriken. His chakra reserves were never as great as they were in the series (because he was never the host of the Kyuubi), so his use of the kage bunshin became more like it was later in the series; using them strategically.

Naruto's son eventually mastered his bijuu, as Mito Uzumaki had so many years ago. Unlike in the series, he possessed both the Fox's Yin and Yang chakras, affording him a great deal of power. He served Konohagakure as a protector for most of his life, though he has largely stepped down from this role as he has gotten older, and is simply waiting for his replacement as container of the Fox.

The Seventh Hokage stepped down almost ten years ago, selecting one of his students as his replacement. The Eighth Hokage leads following his sensei's ideal of peace and fairness, though he cannot match his predecessor's accomplishments. Naruto now spends his time doting on his grandchildren (he's perhaps a tiny bit senile). He had two sons and a daughter, all of whom have grown up and have children. Any other details, I leave to you, Annie :P

Annie

Ok, I think that's enough info. Thanks, Krayz. Should add something to all this info, you can check it later. Working on Nana's sheet right now.

“Fairy Tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” - G. K. Chesterton

Vaulera

So i'm curious, just how do you plan on having the different villages on one team? Call it a fellow gm's curiosity.

Krayz

The plan was, Vaulera, that the villains are going to be enough of an issue for a temporary alliance of sorts between the villages, each sending some of their elite shinobi to aid in their capture. It would have been a little better for a wider spread of representative villages, but it can always be used as an excuse that only Konoha, Kiri, and Taki were willing to contribute troops to the effort (maybe they were the most widely affected).

The mistrust and strained relations between the shinobi from different villages was actually intended to be an extra twist to the plot, as well as the potential for relationships and friendships that could be put to the test once the alliance is over :)

Name: Uzumaki Nanase
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Village: Konoha
Rank: Chuunin.
Titles: Nanase-hime (since she's a member of the Uzumaki family, one of the most important family clans from Konoha, birthplace of two Hokages).

Description:

She have a golden, long smooth hair, that she always keep on high twintails. Her eyes are green and she have the same whiskers marks that her grandfather have, creating a striking resemblance with Naruto's Sexy no jutsu form. Being a heavy taijutsu user, she have a surprisingly slender body, adorned with a lovely pair of large breasts, wich she's kinda proud of.
She uses a long sleeved fishnet shirt and, over it, a black high neck sleeveless top that only covers the upper half of her breasts.  On the bottom half, she uses a black plain skirt, with a small ninja equipment bag attached to a belt. On her right leg, there's a kunai sheath and she uses ninja boots, pretty much the same type of Sakura's on the Shipuuden series. On top of all that, she likes to use a gift of her grandfather, a short sleeved red overcoat, with black flames drawn or its bottom.

Personality:

Most people say that Nana took the worst traits from her grandfather: stubborn, dumb (at least when he was a kid), short-fused, awfuly competitive. She hates to lose, even on the most silly things, and don't think twice to put her life on the edge to archieve victory. On the bright side, she is easygoing and very loyal to her friends: with the same zeal, Nana tends to protect them with her life. She hates when people address at her using the -hime honorific, since it reminds her that she just live in her grandfather and uncle's shadows.

Biography:

Uzumaki Nanase is the first grandchild of Naruto, daughter of his second son, Uzumaki Kensou. At the age of 3, she lost her father, killed in an high ranked mission. She can't remember too much about him. Most of she knows about her father comes from what her relatives says. Since she lost her father so early, Naruto tried to fill that role for her in the best he could. Because of that, Nana respects, trusts and admires his grandfather too much, really taking into account his advice and teachings.

Nana had a hard time trying to get her genin title, since she never got good grades. She had to repeat the test three times to become a genin. By the second time she had her test, her sensei passed her even with her low grades, trying to buy some favor with the Hokage, her uncle (Uzumaki Jiray - first son of Naruto). It took some time to the whole scheme to be discovered, raising some gossips about Nanase-hime having her life made easier because of her kin. When everything was discovered, her sensei was punished and Nana was obliged to take basic classes again and do a third test, which she did with resignation.

From that time, the comments about her easier life sponsored by her relatives never ceased to exist. This really started to bother Nana. All her archievement seemed to be only a consequence of her being on the right family. She really trained hard, asking for her grandfather's help, and became a promising shinobi (the traning with various kage bushins was a great help here). After her passing the Chuunin Shiken on her first try, the comments came back, this time more harsh. Some argued that a genin who had to make the basic exam three times never would have the skill to pass on a Chuunin Shiken on her first try. Again, Nana had to endure the gossips that implied she had help from her relatives to pass that exam.

Nanase didn't know what else to do and again looked after Naruto's advice. He asked her, why not become a Hokage? After all, a Hokage isn't chosen by his family, but only for his skills and wisdom. No one could imply that she had help from her kin if she conquer that title. It seemed a good idea to Nana and later became her dream.

Nana lives with her mother, wich is not a kunoichi and always fear for her life. Her uncle, the Hokage, is always busy, so Nana rarely have a chance to talk with him. On the other hand, Naruto always welcome her when she seeks his guidance. About her other relatives, she really likes her young aunt, Uzumaki Itsuko, but she is always somewhere on a mission, making it hard to Nana tag along with her. And, finally, she have a cousin, Eiji, a 16 years old genin, son of Jiray. Nana loves him as a big sister, but he usually drive her nuts with his perverted pranks.

Naruto's sons:
1 - Uzumaki Jiray (40 years old)
2 - Uzumaki Kensou (33 years old - deceased)
3 - Uzumaki Itsuko (26 years old)

Naruto's grandchildren:
1 - Uzumaki Nanase (19 years old - Kensou's daughter)
2 - Uzumaki Eiji (16 years old - Jiray's son)

Abilities:

S level jutsus:
None atm.

A level jutsus:

Rasengan - The Rasengan doesn't require any hand seals to use, relying only on the chakra control of the user. Once it's complete it becomes self-sustaining, which does not give Rasengan a definite limit of use like its counterpart, the Chidori. The compacted nature and moving speed of the chakra allows the Rasengan to grind into whatever it comes in contact with, causing major damage. This also tends to launch the target back once hit.  Since Naruto taught her, Nana uses it in the same way as him: with her two hands or with the help of a kage bushin.

B level jutsus:

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu - Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. Unlike other clone techniques, they can't be detected by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance, making them indistinguishable from the actual person. Any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. This makes the technique ideal for spying, since the user can simply send a clone to spy on a target, then have the clone disperse itself without returning to pass the information back to the user. It's also useful for training purposes, since the total amount of experience the user gains is multiplied by the total number of clones being used to train.

Nanase can't create too many kage bushins, since she haven't a huge chakra reserve. So, she was taught by Naruto to use it in a more strategically way. It's rare to her to use more than 10 kage bushins, for instance.

Uzumaki Naruto-Nana Rendan - some say that it was Naruto's creation. Nana will punch everyone who says otherwise. Using 5 kage bushins instead of 4 like Naruto used (her 'great' personal touch), she strikes her enemy with every bushin, ending with a fierce kick coming from the real Nana from above. As Naruto, she performs this jutsu diferently every time she uses it.

Oiroke no Jutsu - Just a transformation tech where Nana changes into a hot blondie male. She use it combined with the kage bushin no jutsu. For her private use only (or maybe with a close friend).

E level jutsus:
Henge no Jutsu - Transformation Technique
Bunshin no Jutsu - Clone Technique
Nawanuke no Jutsu - Escape Technique
Kawarimi no Jutsu - Substitution Technique
Kakuremino no Jutsu - Cloak of Invisibility Technique
Yuurei Rasengan - A "tech" developed by Nana when she wasn't yet a genin and dreamed about master the rasengan. It just a blow with the palm of her hand, as if Nana was holding a invisible rasengan.
Sennen Goroshi (One Thousand Years of Death) - A very simple technique with an over-dramatic name, One Thousand Years of Death is little more than inserting one's index and middle fingers (similar to the Tiger hand seal) into the opponent's rectum, causing constipation and/or embarrassment. Characters that see the jutsu react oddly (Temari blushes and Gamakichi shows a look of disappointment), while those who have used or experienced the jutsu show great fear in it being used on them.

Etcetera:

After some years using the kage bushin no jutsu to upgrade the concept of masturbation to a whole new level, Nanase turned out to be a bisexual. She created her own sexy no jutsu, most for private use. She's technically a virgin, since she hadn't sex with no one than herself.

In the story I laid out, Naruto had retired from his position as Hokage. A successor had been chosen and appointed. I don't mind the change (it still rather neatly keeps him out of the story), so that's fine.

But as for Nanase being expected to succeed him as Hokage, that's a little bit of a push. While the title of Hokage does tend to run along a line of succession based on a mixture of blood and sensei-student relationships, that's more a matter of the quality of the members of that line than it is a matter of inheritance. The Hokage can't pick someone to succeed him who lacks the sufficient strength or ability. Nanase could be expected to enter the position eventually, but unless she was among the strongest shinobi in the village already, she couldn't be declared the heir to the position.

Realizing that Minato's not dying would change the line of succession a fair bit, I'll say this is how things went.

Hashirama -> Tobirama -> Hiruzen -> Minato -> Kakashi -> Naruto -> (unfilled)

Naruto is thus the Sixth Hokage, and has held onto the position so long because of his extended lifespan. Nanase could be expected to eventually be able to fill the shoes, but if Naruto were to die the next day then Nanase at her current level could not be considered even close to the level required to be the Hokage. Thus, while she would get the pampering (like Konohamaru), she can't be expected to be Hokage any time soon.

Yes, it means to be a push from Naruto, since it is his personal wish to see the Hokage title to remain in his family. A crazy dream from a old man, you may say. I didn't mean to say that Nanase has the qualities for it (changed that on her alias, the other one had the impression that she being the next hokage was already decided). It's Naruto who makes her to train relentlessly, to see if she can attain the traits of a Hokage.

The change I brought was that Naruto's son, the bijuu host, also became a Hokage and he already have a successor in mind (althought I didn't mention him). I took out all that history of missing-nin grandchild of Naruto (it was useles, coming to think about it) and just point out that Jyrai already choosed his successor, while Naruto secretly trains Nana to turn her into a Hokage, eventualy. The whole idea of Nanase being a Hokage is only between her and Naruto, so to speak. So, what do you think?

EDIT: made the changes with the main idea on Nana's bio. Once that is settled, I'll come up with the details. Sorry about the text earlier. When I came up to read it, I realised that it didn't make too much sense. ¬¬

Krayz

My only issue is that it seems a very selfish thing for Naruto to develop, which doesn't fit with anything in his characterization. Ever.

I don't mind him trying to groom Nanase for the position, but the obsession with "keeping it in the family" seems rather elitist and manipulative, which doesn't seem to fit Naruto at all. Keep the course, but try and lighten the motives a little. Make it something like him seeing a great deal of potential and strength in her, or something like that.

Annie

Yeah, you're right. It doesn't sound as something that Naruto would do.

Could change the concept a bit, making Nana wanting to be a Hokage (an idea given by Naruto, btw). So, she could be acknowledged by her own strength and not by being in his grandfather and uncle's shadows. After all, the Hokage title is not something that you could archieve by being a Hokage's niece or grandchild. Pretty much the same thing that ocurred to Konohamaru.

By the way, thanks for your help, Krayz. ^^

Annie

Modified her sheet again, Krayz. Hope that's the last time. But please, tell me if you see something that bother you. I'm feeling a bit intrusive in your rp by creating that bunch of characters for Naruto's family, and some of them are really important. You could have planned something entirely different and it's not fair to change that to adapt to some player char.

Krayz

If I was trying to run a full-world RPG for an extended time, I might be a little bothered, Annie. But this is a game focused on the character group; the background is very much intended to be in the background, so I don't feel too heavily invested in it. No worries about being intrusive :)

Annie

Now I'm more at ease. So, this means that you approved Uzumaki Nanase?

I thought I already had. But yes, I approve her.

We do indeed have room for one or two more people. Possibly three, if we don't hear back from someone too quickly.

Out of curiosity, which village were you interested in having your character from?

Krayz

And the first villain is now posted! And please, people, get to answering my poll on the issue of villains. Hyoukai's current power level is meant explicitly to make him a match for several heroes at the same time, in order to counter-balance being outnumbered. If that is no longer the case, then his abilities will obviously need to be toned down.

Name: Dokuja Hyoukai
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Village: Kirigakure no Sato
Rank: Jounin
Titles: Hunter-nin (former)

Personality:
If one were to sum up the defining aspect of Dokuja Hyoukai's personalty in a single word, it would be pride, or perhaps hubris. Whatever the world throws at him, Hyoukai weathers through it in an armour of superiority, wrapped around him like a shroud. While he does not consider himself invincible, he is very quick to rank his strength and intelligence far above that of those around him. While Hyoukai's pride is not entirely unwarranted, it can lead to him underestimating both his allies and his opponents. Whatever Hyoukai feels about people underneath, however, he rarely ever displays his true feelings. Hyoukai's interactions with other people are almost always laced with flattery and false concern. He is an expert at both reading people and manipulating them. When he wants something from someone, he seeks to use them. And when he is in battle, he attempts to undermine his opponents' confidence, often brutally.

Hyoukai can be a very sadistic man, revelling in holding power over other people, though he only lets it show when he sees no harm in doing so. In battle, he often uses tactics that cause the battle to drag on, allowing him to inflict as much injury and assert his superiority for as long as possible.  Outside of combat, he often shows his contempt for servants and those weaker than him when it will not undermine his goals. He is also a thorough womanizer, eager to lure a woman into bed with him. While he cannot help but let his cruelty loose to some extent in the bedroom, he maintains an illusion of caring until he is finished with a woman, at which point he makes his true feelings viciously clear.

Biography:
Before his defection, Hyoukai was known as a hunter-nin with a peerless record of service, something he took great pride in. While he operated in teams whenever it was required, he far preferred to track down his targets single-handedly. Some people guessed that he liked the solitude, others that he felt his teammates slowed him down; while the latter was definitely true, the main reason was that Hyoukai was always eager to prove himself against a challenging opponent. Hyoukai's unique abilities made him highly capable of utterly disposing of the bodies of those he tracked down, and the variety of powerful techniques at his disposal made him a fearsome adversary.

Even before his betrayal of the village, there were those in Kirigakure who did not like Hyoukai. They would speak of how cruel an opponent he was, cruel beyond all reason. They would mention the occasional contempt for his comrades that might sneak to the surface in the form of sarcasm or little gestures of disrespect. Others would quote his tireless loyalty, citing his service record as proof enough of his character. Whatever they said, however, Hyoukai largely kept his own company.

When Hyoukai did betray Kirigakure, however, it sent a ripple throughout the upper echelons of the village hierarchy. Aside from being a deserter, and a skilled one at that, Hyoukai was the possessor of a kekkei genkai; the powerful Futton Release, capable of creating corrosive vapours and liquids. Hyoukai had ironically become exactly the kind of shinobi that a hunter-nin like himself would be sent to pursue in order to protect the secrets of the village's bloodlines. Capturing Hyoukai became a top priority for the village, enough of one that the aid of the other ninja villages was an acceptable course of action.

Abilities:

Boil Release
Hyoukai's most dangerous techniques involve the combination of fire and water chakra through the use of his kekkei genkai to perform Futton techniques. These techniques allow him to produce potent corrosive liquids that, given time, can melt through nearly anything. While his techniques are not on par with the Fifth Mizukage, Mei Terumi, they are still among the most potent in the village. In addition to the creation of acidic vapours with the Koumu no Jutsu, Hyoukai uses a number of powerful variations on Water Release techniques that add the corrosive properties of Futton techniques, such as his Suppai Bunshin no Jutsu. Among the most fearsome of Hyoukai's techniques is the Dokkasou, a jutsu that he developed personally. With it, he can strike and slay opponents with all but the most powerful of defences. Obviously, Hyoukai is immune to his own techniques, though his allies do not share this immunity.

Water Release and Fire Release
While his most powerful techniques are created through the combination of fire and water chakra, Hyoukai is still quite capable of using each element on its own, though his repertoire of suiton techniques is more extensive. He makes extensive use of the Kirigakure no Jutsu, and by combining it with the Koumo no Jutsu, he can create a battlefield that not only inhibits his opponents, but actively harms his enemies the longer they dwell in it. Hyoukai is also capable of using the Ukojizai no Jutsu, which allows him to detect the chakras of those within the rain he creates and can easily track targets over a wide area. He can use techniques such as the Suijinheki for defence against attacks, the powerful Suiryudan no Jutsu for attack (with a dozen hand seals compared to the forty-four required by less skilled shinobi), and more generic water jutsu like the Mizu Bunshin commonly used within Kirigakure. While he prefers water techniques, he is still quite skilled in the use of fire jutsu, such as the Karyuu Endan, a technique known for the high degree of skill required in its use.

Other Techniques
While not his speciality, Hyoukai is a skilled taijutsu fighter, fighting using a flowing style taking advantage of the enemy's pressure points, as well as striking at joints and muscles. The style can cause a great deal of pain with largely minimal effort, though it requires a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, something Hyoukai possesses because of his training as a hunter-nin. He is also a highly skilled tracker, another skill picked up during years of hunting down missing-nin, and possesses remarkable skills in infiltration and evading capture by the enemy. Hyoukai's experience as hunter-nin (and thus his thorough understanding of their methods and the necessary countermeasures) is one of the main reasons that Kirigakure was willing to accept the help of other villages in his capture.

Hyoukai's physical strength is slightly above average, but is by no means remarkable. His speed, however, is of true quality, near the level of a true master of taijutsu. He has a keen eye for detail, and while he is not a true strategist he possesses keen instincts in combat. He excels in battles of attrition through the sheer efficiency of his methods, which excel at continually wearing down an opponent with minimal effort output. He possesses a respectable level of skill with most weapons commonly employed by ANBU, including swords.

Etcetera:
Hyoukai's Futton

Futton: Suppai Bunshin no Jutsu (Boil Release: Acid Clone)
C-rank
Supplementary

Based on the more common Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu, the Acid Clone operates similarly to a water clone in that it possesses 1/10 the user's power, and can use either water or boil release techniques. In addition, when an acid clone dissipates, the acid will often splash onto the opponent who struck it if they are too close, resulting in painful burns that could potentially be fatal in the wrong locations.

Futton: Suppaidan (Boil Release: Acid Bullet)
B-rank
Long-range

Using this technique, Hyoukai can gather potent acid in his mouth and spit it forth, either in a stream or as a number of fluid bullets. The acid used in the technique is capable of melting flesh clean off the bone, and melting bone itself over a period of time. This technique was Hyoukai's preferred method of disposing of the bodies of his victims during his time as a hunter-nin.

Futton: Dokkasou (Boil Release: Toxic Flower Claw)
A-rank
Close-range

By excreting the most corrosive fluids he can produce through the sweat glands in his hands, Hyoukai can, with a strike, melt through most defences and clean through human flesh and bone. In addition to the initial trauma caused by the wound, the acids produced can enter the blood stream of the victim, causing extreme pain and potentially death of not removed from the blood stream quickly.
(Note: this technique is an unabashed transplant of Sesshoumaru's technique from the series Inu Yasha; the name has been kept to explicitly highlight this fact).

Laughing Hyena

Well Krayz I would feel that the villains should be more in number but I feel they should be less in terms of strength or such. As for Juro he's not going to be a villain.

Krayz

See Hyena, it's all about the Law of Conservation of Ninjutsu. The level of strength of any given member has a direct relationship to the number of members on that side. Thus, if the villain side is outnumbered, they will be stronger than their opponents *individually*, but in terms of the factions *as a whole*, they will be equal.

Marie Reynolds

Well i choose people two play one hero and one villain if they desired only to allow for more switching of sides through seduction and what not. but thats just me even though i only plan to play one character cause i don't think i can handle two

Laughing Hyena

I never studied law. ^_^

But seriously I do know that trope.

Elias

I was thinking of creating a hidden sand Jounin. I am not sure of your village layout now so wanted to make sure that was alright.

Krayz

Yep, a Hidden Sand Jounin is just fine. A wider spread of villages is better.

Krayz

Ok, there are a few issues that need mentioning with this profile.

1) First and foremost, Baki is dead. Gaara is dead. The only canon character still alive is Naruto, and that's because of the extended lifespan possessed by members of the Uzumaki clan. He's a grandfather, and possibly beginning to slip into senility.

2) The series has all-but-explicitly named the locations where one can learn the arts of senjutsu: Mount Myoboku, the Ryuchi Cave, or Shikkotsu Forest (though Shikkotsu Forest is only implied, admittedly). Mount Myoboku belongs to the toads, and the Ryuchi Cave to the snakes. If you want to learn senjutsu, I'd like you to pick one of them to learn it from. I'd also be willing to accept as a stretch that Shikkotsu Forest is the home of the slugs, and that they're also capable of teaching senjutsu (it would make sense). I would personally suggest snakes, as they fit the desert theme a little more.

On a related note, you mention how he attempts to practice sage techniques on his own. While I have no issue with this, if you plan on using this at all in the RP without considerable development, could you describe some of the things you might want to slip in? Even pulling on sage mode for mere moments could allow access to powerful bonuses (massive boosts in physical ability, sensor abilities, etc).

3) Could you elaborate a little more on some of his techniques? You mention "various other low to high level techniques from his specific affinities"; some examples of the high level ones, at least, would be handy. Elaborating on how he has "one of the fastest defences" in his village would be nice too. Once again, its less an issue with the abilities, and more an issue with the ambiguity; being able to simply use whichever wind or earth techniques you want simply because of implication has potential for much asspulling.

Zaer Darkwail

Hmmm, wonder should I roll a char.

Would a kenkei genkai shinobi be accetable? A kenkei genkai which is someway perfect counter against the nemesis of the story but it does not provide protection no one else expect one shinobi? I was thinking a kind of 'crystal release' kenkei genkai but this case shinobi is not able conjure massive amount of crystals or do crystal jutsu. But simply put he can use his chakra channels and openings in his body to form simply protective layer of diamond shell over his body. Or form weapons for taijutsu but not for ranged if not intent 'rip them off' from his own arms and then throw them normally as improvised kunai's.

The drawback is that if he goes full statue form he cannot move as if diamond layer covers him completely he is immobilisized and he needs break free from his own shell (which can be bitch to do consider diamond is one hardest materials in the world and immune to acid and heat and most air pressure techniques). Sound only being closest what could fracture his shell. But then I thinked he has practiced to have monstrous physical strenght to able break free from his own shell as advanced chakra control technique.

But otherwise his diamond body could provide him so called 'perfect defense' like Gaara had with sand; meaning even asleep his kenkei genkai would form diamond layer against ambush attack to protect his body. But as note he cannot turn his internal organs nor blood into diamond (nor muscle) but he can turn bones to diamond hard and so can turn his teeth and nails (anything which has extensive amount carbonite). However besides chakra use the using diamond techniques drain his sugar values down in his body (meaning he can pass out if he does not get sugar soon after he has used techniques or pass out if he does not chew down candy bar in middle of the fight).

Krayz

I've learned to be incredibly wary of someone who makes extensive use of diamonds in their techniques.

However, I need point out that both Gaara and Kimimaro faced each other with techniques, both comparing them to diamonds; in Dance of the Clematis: Flower, Kimimaro states that bone to be as hard as a diamond. Gaara then counters with his Shield of Shukaku, which he claims to be *harder* than diamond, after shattering Kimimaro's flower.

There are also a few issues raised like; can he breath through his own diamonds? There would have to be an opening of some kind in the defence unless your dude could only maintain it for as long as he could keep his lungs full. But I would argue that needing the strength to break free from your shell would be unnecessary; people with techniques like this often have the ability to end them on their own. Thus, I'll not have this technique being an 'excuse' for an extremely powerful technique in its own rights. The technique could be developed separately of course, but when a KG needs high-level jutsu as a prerequisite to use its techniques, there's certain issue to be taken :P

And in regards to the hardening of bones and such, I'd explicitly have to say no because that would be poaching in the grounds of another kekkei genkai (Shikotsumyaku).

If you want to message me about it in private, we can discuss it more there.

Zaer Darkwail

Nah, I do not mind open discussion and opinion from others. Anyways he could perform a full body 'statue' transformation where he leaves zero openings. Literally seal himself to indestructible shell if need be. But bad side he is immobilised so long he holds it and he indeed needs hold out his breath as he gets no air inside the statue he created around himself.

Overall though his technique works well example form a diamond shield over his arm (not big like captain america but decent enough) so he can protect himself from acid or other threads. As even if you would hit from blind spot the diamond formation would reactively block harm. So the ability works without his will at times like Gaara's sands do. Even so far as immobilizes his legs if he is about to charge into a genjutsu trick or a trap somekind which would harm him.

So his technique has will of it's own and could be related to how Gaara's sand was created; a sacrifice of sentient being to bowl of diamond dust which was spoon fed to him since he was a baby and his unique chakra in body started learn harness power of diamond and generate diamonds as part of normal physical activity. But reason why he does not swim in cash is that the diamonds which come off from his body start soon corrode and break and leave just fine cloud of sand. So perhaps he has ancestry towards Gaara who had sand manipulation ability but his case it's about generating diamonds as form of defense. Anyways he could learn to advance his kenkei genkai in ways neither he nor elders had ever imagined and could learn perhaps generate substance harder than diamonds (like Gaara did with his sand).

Anyways besides his kenkei genkai....he is not chuunin nor jounin in rank in his village. He is genin who has never succeed partake in Chuunin exam (like how Naruto is still genin despite he could kick anyone's ass from his classroom in direct serious combat in anime presently example if not count Sansuke). As if you never succeed in Chuunin exam you cannot become jounin. Also that he is not that much liked either as he slacks a lot (he is lazy). But when mission profile was given and told what abilities the hunted shinobi has (a acid kenkei genkai) they decided send their kenkei genkai who has direct counter against his ability (work as meatshield kinda or as bait target as he appears weak and looks genin).

Krayz

I think my only issue with this character is the amount of contriving necessary for his ability to make sense. It's part kekkei genkai, part sealing technique, all to counter one opponent (whose strength is scaled based on the number of heroes compared to the number of villains) who'll get around the damn thing anyways. Gaara's sand manipulation is simply leftover from his time as the Shukaku's host; it's not something that could be passed on. And all of it was based around what was essentially an enormous conglomeration of chakra with an affinity for sand.

I think something about the random sprouting of diamond just strikes me as off. What I'd like you to do is develop this along the lines of the Crystal Release kekkei genkai from the Shippuden filler arcs. Diamond-strength techniques are evenly totally legit at higher ranks. But I want them to be techniques that require conscious use. No reflex defense when even the most basic ones will be diamond-hard. If it's not acceptable, then I'm sorry, but the level of ability you're talking about seems unbalanced overall; this could counter just about ANYTHING, not just Hyoukai's particular abilities, with just a dash of powerplaying.

Zaer Darkwail

Ok, I thinked add so many flaws on kenkei genkai so it would not be OP even if it is meant something simple as 'I can get hit with acid and not get harmed by it'. It does not change the fact the villain can work around foe whose kenkei genkai counters his but my case I cannot do anything offensive about it.

I assumed that crystal release itself is more broken than just having a diamond shell covered body. As you can seal people inside crystals or conjure walls of crystals which can block acid (even if melted they still better option than try dodge it or get hit by acid).

Another variant from this concept is simply a average class genin which has no kenkei genkai nor any other special qualities expect one; he has unsurpassed 'sixth sense'. It's not kenkei genkai nor doujutsu or anything like that. Simply put he simply has very refined 'gut sense' which allows give hints to him how beat foes which have perfect defenses or kenkei genkai's which make them unapproachable. It gives no direct data nor answer questions 'how another guy can beat this guy'.

But this ability helps him example wake up and perform displacement ninjutsu instant just before assassin's blade lands on him before he is even aware what for he is doing displacement jutsu in first place and what is the source of sudden danger. Simply put he is man impossible to surprise at all as his sixth sense both warns and also guides his actions to counter said danger. If he fights or observes fight long time, his instincts can turn to offensive tool as he can get gut feeling how to beat his foe, drive it off or how outrun/outsmart his foe even if he is not sure why it would work.

Example someone with perfect defense kenkei genkai he would get suddenly gut feeling that throwing him with cherry blossoms would drop his guard. Why? He does not know, but fact is that the perfect defense guy has allergy towards cherry blossoms which results in uncomfortable sneezing which makes channeling chakra impossible to maintain perfect defense.

So, overall his ability would be storyteller or GM's plot device but otherwise it works surprise negator. But the drawback is also that this ability does not function to help others; it warns only danger targeted towards himself not to others. So if foe who is aware of his ability would not land sneaky attacks vs him and would instead land attacks on teammates.

But if speaking overall what I am after; I want create a char who is genin and is not qualified to be chuunin nor jounin but still would have solid purpose or reason to be part of the hunting team some fashion. I thought it to be interesting RP chance how other jounin/chuunins and other 'professionals' would react when they learn one their team members is basically a genin. Then later reveal what for said guy was added to hunter team and realize his unique ability or knack makes him solid part of said team setup even his other fields his shinobi skills are lower than rest of the team.

Zaer Darkwail

I just thinked some examples; perhaps a bloodline which deals with liquid neutralization. That person with that bloodline can effortlesly without use of chakra neutralize liquid content to be non-offensive to living beings. A very simple bloodline which holds not a real shinobi level of amazement.

But it's applications could be varied; example if someone is poisoned he needs just look on the person and focus and he would neutralize poisoning condittion away as he neutralized poison. If someone would throw acid or hot burning oil on people, he could neutralize the liquid to harmless so long he can perceive and see the chakra patterns and undo them. He cannot undo example natural qualities of water; if water is hot then it burns, if someone throws icicles he cannot turn icicles to water nor he can prevent someone drown on water.

His case scenario he would had remained genin while his rest teammates became chuunin by temporally transfering to other teams to get chuunin exams done as he weigthed them down in exams as he was not skilled shinobi. Then he gave up on career ever becoming more than genin and so he became shinobi who used kenkei genkai to benefit of his village. Which mostly is used to cleansing sewage water or cleansing polluted lakes and rivers from factory productions or alchemical accidents.

Or another approach is to do a char similar to Kosuke Maruboshi; a genin with jonin level skills but reasons or another has refused from promotions and is not advertising said fact. He would be close to jack of all trades as he has not specialized on anything (so his overall profiency in all fields is set even). He would not have any unique tricks expect his creativity how he blends his varied techniques and expertise with them.

1) Easy fix ill just use elder instead of specific names sorry about that.

2) I never realized those were the only places just the most prominent to the Naruto Universe since intelligent creatures seem to be able to be summoned from all forms of life, I was thinking the majority of them would have locations in which to practice such connections. But if thats not the case ill just pull out all the sage mode parts. I like the idea of him training with a sand lizard and gaining some of their skills. I also had no intention of using any sage abilities I assumed they were too strong, I just wanted it for his bio and to explain the closeness with the creatures he summons.

3) Ha yeah I will dig up a list of the common techniques known to the village for use from earth and wind affinities.

Krayz

@Zaer: Trapping people in crystal, making walls of crystal, etc, replicates ninjutsu used by dozens of different characters; it's not some new thing, even if some of the flavours or particulars are unique. With a technique like that, it becomes who can play the best strategy using the tricks at their disposal. A reflex defence will work no matter how clever an opponent is; in a game where no definite measure of speed, reaction time of the technique, etc, it's the sort of thing that can lead to fights that can't easily be resolved.

Some comments on other ideas you presented:

The 'gut sense' strikes me just as bad as the crystal. It reeks of metagaming. Some way or another, he always knows what he has to do to counter someone. It raises the same issues as the diamond, as well; he'll sense an attack coming, no matter what, and will instinctively know the method of countering it, rendering the attack null. Even worse, it doesn't even require explanation, because it's just his gut.

I suppose my only issue with the water-purifier is that there's no conclusive method as to what he's doing. His one ability apparently functions to neutralize acids/bases, kills diseases, removes random chemicals and substances that effect the human body. It's too much a case of intelligent design without any particular purpose. Even the Sharingan's wackey-doodle list of abilities makes sense if you consider it a mutation or devolution of the Rinnegan, which was just raw power in the form of eyeballs. The big point to make however is that regular Water Release jutsu have displayed many of the properties you're describing, producing fluids ranging from water to oil to syrup. Im not sure if it's really worth making into a kekkei genkai.

Your jack-of-all-trades, jounin-level genin actually strikes me as a cool idea (admittedly because I don't need to make judgments on power level :P). I would prefer a little bit of theme to the ability set; people have elemental affinities, and it's one in a hundred who actually use more than two. Also consider that using genjutsu effectively requires above-average chakra control and intelligence, while using most taijutsu requires above-average speed and strength. You can only push his natural abilities so far before he's just a Sue, but the limits of his techniques will be based on how strong he is in each area. Just be careful with the balance.

And if you have more ideas, please mention them. I wish I wasn't being such a joykill >_<.

@Elias: Don't forget the number of techniques the summoning trees often have at their disposal aside from senjutsu. Aside from a few creepy cases of body-mod, almost everything Orochimaru did was tricks taught to him by the snakes. Jiraiya was almost as bad for it, too. And I only assumed you planned on using sage abilities because you mentioned it in his etcetera, and that he liked to practice with them and try them out himself. I just wanted clarification if you were going to do so; while full sage mode would be a little extreme for this game, using it for momentary boosts and such wouldn't be harmful.

Vaulera

Judging by the poll results, I would say that there is a clear winner. Would it be okay if I changed my character to be a bad guy, perhaps make her a bit more insane and add on the bio? I could fix that rank and cross it out for missing nin too.

Zaer Darkwail

Hmmm, my jack-of-all trades genin would be only be average in every field. To avoid Mary Sue issues he would not be anyway expectional none in the fields but he is not bad neither. So he may not know powerful genjutsu to charm dozen people but he would know simpler tricks like cause minor illussion effect like disguise the fact that he throwed two kunai's instead one (and other kunai which he throwed secretly had wire on it and wire nor kunai is not seen until directly interacted with). He may not be super strong nor fast but he would know taijutsu enough not defend himself against most martial artists and deliver nasty punch if it gets through foe's guard. Ninjutsu wise he would not know even kage bunshin but he could create explosive tag armed displacements.

Elemental affinity wise he has wind and earth affinities. Not sure of village yet though.

Elias

Edited, I just removed the sage mode and stuck with the lizards.

Annie

Hmm, Krayz, do we have enough people, counting with Elias and Zaer?

Players who wish to convert their characters to villain can state their intention to do so tomorrow. The balance can then be hashed out. I just want to give one last day for votes to come in.

@Annie: Elias and Zaer would have pretty much filled us right up, except now we need to see how many people switch over to the bad guys. Essentially, I wanted two or three teams of good guys, consisting of three or four shinobi.

Marie Reynolds

Hey I was out to sea for two days I'll hopefully have it together soon

I'll remain a hero character. Someone from the mist has to be the good guy right?

Annie

I guess that, even if I wanted, I can't be a evil guy. No way a granddaughter of Naruto could act like that. ;P

I think I'll add a just-for-fun tech for Nanase: Phantom Rasengan. It's just a blow with the palm of her hand, as if she using some invislble rasengan. Anyone knows a bit of japanese here? I found the word Yuurei translating as phantom or ghost in japanese, but I'm not sure if saying Yuurei Rasengan sounds right. ;P

Krayz

You'd think it, Annie, but you never know. In the same way the Senju/Uzumaki have become something of the "good guy" clan, the Uchiha have taken the role of the "bad guy" clan. And yet you have the likes of Itachi, Shisui, and Obito.

A black sheep is not a bad character concept, necessarily. If it's not one you'd enjoy, then obviously don't go with it. But don't count it right out, either.

At this point, we're just waiting for Zaer and Marie to get their characters in, as well Rachel to get her villain in, unless she's changed her mind on that front.

Laughing Hyena

Dunno currently Nanase Uzumaki doesn't strike me as a bad girl. A misfit like her father but like Gaara the path that lead him astray and not Naruto was that he didn't have others around him. Corny as that sounds it's true.

Annie

#100
Yeah, I know that Krayz. It's just I think that doesn't fit very well when I imagine Naruto's family. But, of course, a good plot could take out that impression from me. XD

In the end, I'll stick in the way of the great Light. ;P

EDIT: Added the Yuurei Rasengan to Nana's jutsu list. Again, if someone can confirm that name is right, just let me know. ;P

Krayz

More than anything, Annie, I'm wondering how the technique makes sense. Is there actually an invisible Rasengan, or is it simply the maneuver?

Annie

It's just the maneuver, Krayz. A blow with the palm of her hand. There's nothing of the rasengan on it besides the name. As I said, a just-for-fun tech. ;P

Okey dokey then. That would be acceptable.

Name: Dain Tombaki
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Village: Iwagakure
Rank: Genin
Titles: None, if not count 'number one zero talent class shinobi' as his own villagers call him.

Personality:
Dain is carefree fellow who does not take situations seriously and he often slacks and lazies off. He has no sense of confidence for self but he does respect others and recognizes talents far more keenly than anyone else in others but does not see none in himself. Some would call this modesty but he is more personally depressed for his life as shinobi and has least amount of interest on his own progress in said world. Fame, yen, power or recognition; he desires none. He only desires live long enough he can retire and stop his active shinobi career and he can do what he wants the most.....but no idea what he plans to do once given said freedom. He cares less village politics and war situations as he does not see enemies in hostile manner, he has no bloodlust and he rarely angers. Because of his lack of ambition and for playing too fair he never developed friends inside his village and because of his village's underhanded ruthless nature he has no friends outside the village. But still he has not gone rogue though. As he holds semblance of loyalty to his village even if village dislikes him.

Biography:
Dain Tombaki nearly failed the shinobi exam in academy fourth time which was meant as final time when he can try. He passed with bottom scores in his class and was put to team with two elite minded shinobi. All with grand dreams to becoming jounin and gain recognition while he himself had none. In missions he dragged team always down but he never got drive to improve himself to match his two elite team members and it frustrated no end his team mates. Even their jounin mentor was disappointed in his lack of skill or more lack of interest to be shinobi. Only reason why he was not dismissed was because of orders of Tsuchikage keep him around until he either improves or dies. Thankfully he always had luck in his side to survive even serious situation, even extend some of them being embarrassing and becoming years some delicious jokes around the village. However it dragged down team's reliability and reputation and in end his two team members betrayed him; by tying him up on wooden pole in village center and beat him up with bamboo sticks while their jounin mentor watched and made sure none interfere. Then they left him hang on the pole beaten for whole day until he dragged himself out from it while starving and thirsty. As none villagers paid symphaty for him.

He did not hate his teammates nor the village, as he knew for the fact he was natural loser. When his teammates tried succeed in Chuunin Exam, they failed everytime and most often because of him. Soon the teammates disbanded from team altogether and each one joined on team which lacked members and then entered chuunin exams and succeed and became chuunin. Eventually jounin. Then seeing the team disbanded jounin was left with single genin which led jounin grow more than disappointed; she grew despise him and feel unending spite towards him as because of him she cannot join some missions as non-genin leading jounin could and she lacked any inspiration to teach or lead Dain because he was useless and after all years he had not improved at all in his shinobi skills which were barely average.

Then she had enough of him and then she accepted A class mission after thoroughly lying about Dain's so called 'hidden talent' which emerged after elitists left. They went to hunt a missing nin from village of Sand. Considering they were not friendliest of terms in Sand and the target is actually protected by Sand (he was defecting to Sand). She tracked up to the target while Dain followed and when she took first night shift....she then simply left Dain on the cave where they had camped. In high dangerous zone deep in Sand and she also purposefully left hints on the cave to show whereabouts of Dain so he surely gets captured and it leads to situation where no one will buy Dain and she is hand washed from his case if get minor disservice rank but it is worth in her opinion in all her spite. Days, weeks, months and a whole year passes without word about Dain and most assume he got killed than instead going rogue. Then he suddenly returns?! With the head of the missing nin in his bag and bringing it to mission office! He refused tell details of his mission to anyone but he went briefing with Tsuchikage alone (as his jounin mentor was on mission and unable to attend).

After that Dain remains still as genin but he solo operates. As Tsuchikage noticed during teams he is loser, but during Solo missions his skills match equal to A ranked jounin. He may lack ambition or desire improve himself; but he gets damn creative and surge of focus when his own life is in line. A coward who barely survives missions is what Dain is exactly and manages pull off the jobs alone where teams are needed. He dislikes fight dirty but he is left to little to no choice than adapt the style of figthing what Hidden Stone Village is known for and have become damn good at it. Not fight fair at all only as form of self-defense but otherwise he would try fight fairly when he is in team even if it hinders him. Tsuchikage puts more and more pressure on Dain each time and each time Dain narrowly succeeds because he has no high ranked jutsus like most jounin have learned or studied and he works only with the few which he had learned as genin and by observing his two elite team members years but which he never tried to mimic until his life is in line. So for now expectionally he is lend for shinobi team which hunts a S class criminal and his allies. He may be not much use for rest of the team most of the time but if he gets cornered and his own life is in risk......then he acts beyond anyone's expectations. Also if he would start to care for others lives.....then his talent would expand and he could then finally be chuunin material instead being zero talented shinobi in the village.

Abilities:

Taijutsu/Kenjutsu
Dain has practiced both unarmed figthing and also kenjutsu arts. But he knows none of actual chakra channeling techniques in taijutsu but he often combines basic simple taijutsu attacks with other jutsu to support them. He favors single quick slashes over multiple slashing attacks with his ninjato. Aiming to locations were veins rest in to cause bleeding which slowly tires enemy or strike weak spots. Over the years his eye for weakness in techniques and armor has improved but it's not perfect.

Ninjutsu
Dain knows clone, replacement and disguise jutsus like everyone in academy graduates do. He is lazy often do them halfheartedly but when his life is in line he can perform very good disguise jutsu; able transform into kunai's or even personal belongins which he can duplicate and confuse enemy with clone who sleight of hands him to enemy's pocket. He can keep the shape very long time and he can disguise his chakra presence to near zero.

Besides this he has a very rare elemental affinity combination; earth like most people his village do but his elemental type changed also to wind somepoint. It's something which he does not go advertise about and he knows some quite decent wind techniques like slicing wind blade which he combines with his kenjutsu to perform long range slashing attacks to throw off enemy's guard off with feigned swing which should not reach them. Another one which is kind his sensor ability is able to 'feel the air' around him. He can sense any motion in air around him around when he concentrates on air around him and he can sense so attacks which would be otherwise unable to detect but his reaction time still may not be enough block it even if he senses it.

His earth techniques are simple but sturdy products and he can make clones from raw earth, mud or clay even when he is not serious. But if he is serious he often slips explosive tags inside his clones which then explode and cause fragment damage as he stuffs also kunai's and steel balls inside the clones. Make simple bombs from them. Overall he knows all basic earth techniques including able form one layer of earth to block one serious attack in the day and even then it's not perfect against all attacks.

Genjutsu
Dain knows only genjutsu enough disguise his presence when he is a item. Make people fooled he has no chakra when he mimics a item. When serious he can pull off genjutsu which gives illusion he moves faster than foe's eyes can follow and he can perform 'thousand dazzling blade assault' where using bright light source he reflects rapidly on his shiny blade's surface to blind enemies from the dazzling display and then perform attacks on them while blinded.

Chakra Control
He can walk on walls and run across water. These both took years to master well enough he can fight on either condition. But when in serious life threatening situation he can dispel genjutsu techniques with shockingly display. As he can very easily shut down his chakra and turn it on....not just one sequence but five times in row and even genkei kenkai styled doujutsu has hard time to nail him with genjutsu no more than brief moment. He is very hard to controlled by genjutsu as result as he is very highly paranoid when alone. Fear based genjutsu works double times better than intended on him when he is alone or in group. As he is indeed a natural coward.

Other Abilities
Besides his shinobi talents which are not much he is kind of genius when it comes lazing off. He may not take things seriously but if given some work he tries find excuse to avoid it, slack off or solve the task then most least amount of energy involved. Some tasks what he did while he had team showed surprising ingenuity in his part. Also he knows very well general lay out of each village's top shinobi (he has studied the bingo book to memory). Just to know what kind of people he can trick, fight or just plain run if facing them in during mission in hostile setup.

Besides this he has somesort natural knack for gambling. His odd luck which helped him survive in younger days carries on dices and cards and other games where he plays against other people than machines. His only weakness is that he looses against women in gambling, as he calls it 'my luck runs foul against women because my luck thinks to play nice towards ladies to charm them to me'. This course never resulted in date but rather opposite effect. None the less he had sometimes doubled or tripled his cash in brief time he spends in gambling and runs out with his wins when he is in high roll.

Etcetera: Dain Tomblaki is heterosexual male with some minor fetishes regarding outfits women wear like; pretty underwear, bunny girls (one reason he goes to casino) and corsets. Otherwise he has not any specific beauty ideals or specifics but he would be attracted more to personality than raw beauty. Also appreciates women with sense of humor and who can do decent sarcasm towards him which he can laugh to himself then.

Vaulera

So can I get the thumbs up to change my character to a dastardly villain?

Krayz

You can indeed, Vaulera, though unless we hear from Rachel Ongaku soon that will leave just you and I as the villains of this game.

An apology to everyone for not hearing back from me for some time. I had a busy week pass by, helping family and starting a new semester of university. I haven't lost interest in this game, and still intend to see it done. Once Vaulera's character is ready, we'll start this game.

If you're really needing villains I am willing to do it.

Krayz

We don't really need villains. It's basically a balancing act of quality and quantity; more heroes means stronger villains, and vice versa.

Of course, one idea that could be considered is playing something like Akatsuki; an organization of missing-nin working towards a common goal (perhaps less world-dominationy).

I think I'm gonna post a poll on that.

Vaulera

I was wondering how the villain scenario would work, since there are only the two of us (that I know of or have seen anyway), would it just be a powerful duo, working together for whatever malicious plot you can cook up?

Krayz

#112
Indeed, Vaulera, that would be the way of it.

Likely they would have met by coincidence, defecting at around the same time and crossing one another's path.

EDIT: Also, we're looking for at least one more female player, open to up to three more players as long as one is female. Not hearing responses from a couple of our players, and it would be nice to have balanced teams.

Zaer Darkwail

Aye, gender balanced teams would be nice. Anyways Krayz I ask again (kinda); Is my char okay in ability/skill/background wise or do I need elaborate something further or tone it down?

Xain903

Well if you guys are still looking for players I would be fine joining, I could try to play a girl but I wouldn't likely do an amazing job since I don't have a hell of a lot of experience playing a girl in a more....perverse context. But anyway what I posted to ask was mostly if you were open to new characters still.

Krayz

I'm sorry, Xain, but we're not looking for any male characters until we get at least one more female. However, it is worth mentioning that this game is meant to be less focused on sex and more on plot, so if you're open to playing a female, you're more than welcome.

Personality: In her personal life Tsubaki is always the sarcastic type, she isn't the kind who takes well to stupid chivalrous fools pretending she needs protecting. In fact she isn't even the type to associate most men on a first meeting with anything more than them wanting a piece of her. Tsubaki knows she isn't unattractive and she uses the attention she gets from some people to her advantage, though anyone who can see through her tricks instantly gains her respect. The one thing she can't stand however is someone belittling her skills simply because one of her preferred methods to kill is the easiest one she has, just because she uses her body as a lure for men and women alike doesn't mean she has no morals and she'll punch anyone in the mouth who says different.

Biography: Tsubaki was born mixed blood, her father being a fugitive from another village altogether, though he had settled down in the hidden cloud village by the time she could remember. The only real thing she remembered from being a girl was that she was always a little different. She didn't have the chakra supply of a normal student, because of that she was somewhat mocked by the other students and even taken advantage of once or twice by bullies. However in one of these incidents the bully dropped dead and she felt stronger for it...something had happened and it wasn't explained until much later that this was when her true life began.

Tsubaki was born with a talent, she had natural aptitude toward a particular style of ninjutsu, the kind that drained chakra out of living beings and added to her own supply. Apparently her father had also been well known for this particular technique so it was no surprise she was born somewhat talented in its use. Thanks to her natural affinity for absorbing other peoples chakra she was given the nickname 'succubus' thanks to her penchant for using her looks and intellect to fool other students into giving her doses of their own chakra to use in battle. This method also gave her reason to become one of the more dangerous ninja in her class, her ability was more than enough to incapacitate a student level ninja easily so soon enough she became a bit of a pariah, though it didn't matter as much to her since it just meant tsubaki wouldn't have to deal with too much unwanted attention.

The chuunin exam wasn't too hard since she wasn't the worst cheater, however when it came to the actual combat portion tsubaki was finally able to shine, showing off techniques her father had taught her she breezed through the first couple of contestants and in fact made it to the final. Sadly she was unable to beat the final student who she faced, losing purely because she hadn't anticipated that she would become so full of chakra from the other students she wouldn't be able to drain any more. Luckily though the judges seemed impressed by his taijutsu skills aswell as her use of her 'assets' as a diversion during the first couple of rounds. This led to her being made a chuunin without too much trouble.

Now however was when things got complicated. A minor asset she got from being so good at her particular skill set was that she was capable of discerning chakra easily, so much so that just being around someone she was able to sense their particular chakra pretty easily. This meant that she was more than a bit of an advantage when chasing missing nin, especially dangerous ones, thus as her first truly high profile assignment she would be send to assist a group of other village ninja in capturing a pair of fugitives who were trying to cause trouble, Tsubaki just hoped that if she did her best she would be able to make her father proud and maybe even make jounin sometime so as to gain the respect she rightfully deserved as a warrior, not just as a pretty face with a few tricks.

Abilities:

Taijutsu - While most would assume that Ninjutsu or Genjutsu would be her greatest skill Tsubaki uses mostly Taijutsu in combat. Thanks to her near pitiful normal chakra supply she was never able to perform normal jutsu as easily as other students, this initially led her to worrying she was incompetent, however after learning of her strengths she realized how useful she could be in close combat. Thanks to training from her father aswell as training on her own she has learned how to best use her abilities in close combat, using a lot of grapples/throws aswell as high speed footwork in order to maintain contact with her opponent for as long as possible to let her abilities work their magic. She even learned how to use higher level physical enhancement techniques to vent the chakra she absorbs so as not to overload (leading to the amusing image of a young girl basically hugging her opponent all fight before punching him out with one almighty blow).

Genjutsu - While not nearly as amazing as her Taijutsu skills Tsubaki is well versed in simple disguise illusions aswell as illusions used to alter the perception of her target. She can't make complex powerful mind bending illusions but she can use illusions to help make a target more comfortable and compliant while she uses him for information or chakra. This also means however that she needs to have already drained a little bit in order to maintain illusions strong enough to keep her enemy distracted so she normally only pulls these out when she's already in a grappling situation of some kind.

Ninjutsu - When it comes to Ninjutsu the only advantage Tsubaki has is her talent with draining the chakra of her targets aswell as her mastery of chakra control so as to use as little of her own energy as possible in a fight. She can use basic level ninja techniques but anything higher than genin level requires her to have already drained quite a bit from her opponent to use the techniques. This means that she basically forgoes ninjutsu in favor of standard Taijutsu or Genjutsu as they are a lot less wasteful of the energy she worked hard to obtain.

Other - Her elemental affinity is lightning as one would expect which she likes to combine with her grapples, making for a dangerous fight when she has a grip of her enemy. Along with physical contact she can also drain chakra from a distance using her own bodily fluids as a medium using a technique called the 'hidden leech technique' though if an opponent either removes the fluid from their body or interrupts her channeling of the chakra they are safe. When absorbing chakra she can't take in too much or she might overload herself and pass out, thus she chooses to use upgraded physical skills or illusions to release some pent up energy. Also since I didn't know where to put it she can also drain chakra from one source and put it into another, allowing her to supply her allies in combat with chakra from her own supply if they are running low.

Etcetera: While she considers herself bi Tsubaki has only felt actual romantic feelings to women. She normally carries around a set of kunai on chains that she uses to help grapple her opponents (they are designed to help her drain chakra). Along with all that she also has a huge capacity for chakra, while she can't produce a lot on her own she is more than capable of absorbing and holding onto multiple ninja worth of chakra without overloading, showing she has the potential to be quite dangerous if she ever does learn other methods to get chakra.

((alright finally done, how does it look everybody?))

rachelongaku

Yay! Uh, so what exactly is going on right now? When are we starting?
Haven't been here in years but I'm in need of a good distraction!

Xain903

Indeed, I don't like having comfort zones since I pride myself in being able to play lots of different characters, so I decided I would get experience playing a flirty female character under fire, I think I'll do a good job though even if I've never played a character like her before.

Krayz

It looks good, Xain; we're getting ready to start with it :)

And Zaer, I'm sorry it has taken me so long to say it, but Dain is just fine.

Annie

Hmm, Krayz? Are we waiting for someone to post?
