Anyone have luck with a good English to Russian translator? I'm not sure i really trust Google or babel much (yes, I'm anal, what can I say) to be very close.

Online translators go word for word, so they won't be much more reliable than those two, although I've found Google better than babelfish. If your need can be covered with a dictionary (and a bit of searching the idioms list), I recommend WordReference.

and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.

Trouble

If this is about writing, I find it's better to simply say, "[Name] said in Russian, 'Blahblahblah'" than to try and translate English into Russian. It's easier and spares you the embarrassment of making a mistake.

Or I just put the Russian (or whatever language it is) in brackets.
