I drove over half an hour to his house to pick him up and took him to a restaurant he recommended. The food was terrible, and he mostly talked about his ex-girlfriend the entire time. He ordered around $100 worth of food and forgot his wallet to at least pay for his part of the bill. I paid, but he had to take a cab home.

I would have said that work keeps me from pursuing romantic relationships, but I think that would not be 100% truthful. Being a firefighter, S.W.O.R.D. agent, and eventually an Avenger kept life hectic, but I never connected with anyone. Sometimes, I have to travel very far, and I think my timing with meeting people just never matched well.
