This is certainly viable. I'd think they might be able to work their way in as a side-kick for someone, or attach themselves to a human or other creature as a way to survive. The one thing I'd be cautious of is the realization that someone that small has a very real chance of getting smooshed.
Duly noted. I see her as an information specialist with loose ties to the Unseelie, but very much an independent operator. But we'll see how character creation goes. Expect an app in the next few days.

It is absolutely open, and I think Jason Momoa would be an excellent FC!

I am working on a Shaman for the River Valley Pack. FC Lucy Liu

Loving it!

Juggtacular

So my idea for my wolf "Vega" is that he is extremely old and was the original founder of the River Valley pack. I didn't notice on the timeline last night that Donovan Mathers got the rank of Alpha in 2014, which is gained through strength of might or character/charisma. Is that set in stone? If yes, I can work with it, probably something about Vega's wanderlust rearing it's head and he left to go explore the world yet again, and allowed his two best to fight it out and whoever won took his place so the pack would remain strong. Then he came back however long after and re-established his rightful rule. If no, then I'll have it so that he's basically run River Valley the last few decades, accepted any challenges, and obviously overcame them all because he's still the Big Bad Wolf. I can swing it either way.

WhatLiesAbove

The River Valley Pack has been around for much longer than werewolves have been outed. The storyline of him leaving and coming back definitely plays well, and I would keep with that. Let me know if you want to add any history for Donovan, since his CS isn’t done.

Juggtacular

Cool. So he established the River Valley Pack, ran it until 2014ish, and when his wanderlust got too strong to ignore, he stepped down and let Donovan and another as of yet unnamed wolf duke it out to see who would run things while he was gone. As for history, I can't think of much without knowing what you've got already. Maybe he was Beta so he had a strong following for the next Alpha already. Depending on his age, he and Vega may have fought in a war or two together or something like that. Something that bonds them together as close friends who have a great deal of respect for each other.

History

Sia was born close to Québec, Canada, in a fairly remote and rural place. For miles, there was nothing around the country house she was born in. From afar, the Collins cottage looked like a normal place for a small family. However, the Collins family was no ordinary family. Having been bitten by a werewolf a few years back, her father, Horace, had been searching for a place far away from the rest of the world. His transformation had not been pleasant, and the sudden emotions that overwhelmed him were too much for a densely populated city. They had moved to the cottage in the countryside, especially after the worldwide traumatic incident of WWII. They thought that the people could not need more to worry about, even if supernatural human beings were now equal in terms of rights. Two years after the end of the war, Sia was born and killing her mother in the process.

Horace never recovered after having lost his beloved wife. He had blamed himself for having tempted fate by impregnating his wife, knowing full well what the consequences would be. But then, there was Sia. The little baby girl with big brown eyes who needed him more than anyone else. Only when he held her in his arms did his rage vanish and the pain became only just bearable. Sia, thus, grew up together with her father in the middle of nowhere, learning together how to cope with the werewolf gene… curse… disease… whatever people called it. Life slowly became easier with each month, each full moon that passed.

For Sia, it was easier to get used to living as a wolf. Still a toddler, although being 16 years already, she had begun smelling for herbs and collecting them to keep them in her room. Only when she was 30 years old, as a human a full-grown woman, did she reach maturity as a wolf. And that was when things got incredibly difficult with Horace. He grew ever more restless, violent and enraged, even when everything seemed fine before. Any herbs that Sia sniffed out did not help him either. So, after a year of struggling, Horace decided to leave his daughter for her own sake. As it turned out, his instincts were telling him to look for a pack he could join, driving him away from the young female wolf. When her father left her, so did she.

Sia wandered around America for a full year in 1978, aimlessly looking for her own purpose in life. Having barely lived outside the cottage, life overwhelmed her at first. So many people that talked and looked different, yet it all seemed peaceful, if loud. She soon discovered the many perks that came with her gift: enhanced smell, strength and healing abilities that mere humans did not possess. The only issue was… she began feeling incredibly alone. She tried distracting herself by further studying her own body and how it differed from everyone else’s. And fairly soon, her path took her across the United States where she found the Kingdom of Sacramento.

Vampires. Faes. And even more wolves. Sia could not believe her luck and soon enough, she discovered the opportunity to join the River Pack as an apprentice so learn the art of healing the werewolf body. As a quick learner, she became a full member and after eight more years, she rose to the leading Shaman of the pack. Ever since, she had not stopped learning how the world worked and gained even more knowledge when it came to healing processes. In 2014, Sia fully supported the election of Donovan Mathers. With his permission, she opened her own cabin for healing purposes, treatments and appointments (even though she is, of course, always willing to help at any time).

Sia looks amazing!

Only thing I would point out is that the Pack isn't the San Joaquin River Pack. It's just the River Valley Pack. I just bring it up because there are a LOT of rivers that flow through the area...even if the San Joaquin River is the biggest one. Other than that, I give Sia a big thumbs up of approval!

Character idea for Supernatural Reigns
Rookie P.L.E.D. Officer

Name: Violet (Letta) Acosta
Real Age: 25
Apparent Age: 21
Species: Human
Affiliation: P.L.E.D
Gender: Female

Faceclaim: Younger Lina Esco

Player: Storm

Personality

Eager, kind, honest, stubborn, by the book, naïve, too trusting, quick-tempered, impatient, cold

Appearance

Letta is 5’8”, and 135lbs with short, dark hair and dark brown eyes. She’s 25, but barely looks old enough to buy booze. Preparation for the gruelling physical testing for humans trying to join the PLED has left her pretty cut, and in peak physical condition for someone her age. She’ll never be as strong or as fast as a vamp or were, but she’s proud of how far she’s come.

History

Letta's story is pretty tame compared to some of the shit she's heard since joining the P.L.E.D. She grew up in a decent home with open-minded parents who let her chose her own path all the way along. The existence of supernatural creatures was the reality by then, but coming from a small town like Sutter Creek, with a population of less than 2000, and just far enough from Sacramento to hide away from the real world... Vampires, werewolves, and fairies were really still just stories to them.

Letta, like a lot of the girls she grew up with, quickly developed unhealthy obsessions with the otherworldly beings, but in such a small town the people who weren't naturally afraid of the 'monsters' were shunned. People who didn't come to church for salvation from the 'plague upon this world' were few and far between, Letta and her parents being one such non-religious family.

Oblivious to the scrutiny from their neighbours, Letta did what any sort-of normal, vampire-crazed teenager would do- befriend one online and invite her over. Because, why not? She understood that telling a couple friends about what she'd done was a mistake as soon as she saw the fear in their eyes. The vamp (who probably wasn't a real vampire anyway) never showed up, and a few nights later their home burnt to the ground while they were out. Suspected arson.

Letta never did tell her parents the truth about any of it and still hopes it was all just an awful coincidence, but she knows. The entire incident is what turned her toward law enforcement, and she is determined to treat supernatural people with the same respect and decency that she affords people from all walks of life.

No amount of horror stories from bunkmates at bootcamp, or snickering from seniors officers stopped her from achieving her dream of joining the PLED. She spent the last eight years working toward that goal. There's already several hefty bets going around about her first assignment- she'll either go home crying, or in a body bag. Letta's seriously considering getting 'fuck you' tattooed on her forehead... So she doesn't have to say it so much. Harassment comes with the territory when you're a baby-faced, female, human rookie on a team that even the worst sort of supernatural criminals might run from, but she's determined to prove she's more than just the inclusive poster girl of the PLED.

Luckily, the River valley has several places that have water! As to your question though, I’d say that it would be possible for a water nymph to have a vial of water from the Fae Realm that they could wear around their neck!

Name: Vega Erdoğan Wülfe
Real Age: 500
Apparent Age: Mid-30's
Species: Wolf
Affiliation: Kingdom of Sacramento
Gender: Male

Faceclaim: Jason Momoa

Player: Juggtacular

Personality

  • Ruthless
  • Powerful
  • Aggressive
  • Charming
  • Schemer
  • Stoic

Appearance

In his human form, Vega is incredibly tall, which is what most people notice about him when they first see him. He stands at 6'8 and is roughly 300lbs of gnarled muscle from a lifetime of fighting and hunting. His eyes are beyond intense, and looking at his unnaturally bright ice blues feels like staring into the eyes of a predator. He has a strong jaw and sharp, handsome features that are usually hidden or rather, complemented by a full beard. Vega has silky, chest-length hair that he usually keeps tied in a ponytail. All of the things he's seen in his life have caused him to have shock white patches of hair, although they don't transition to his wolf forms. He has a multitude of tattoos covering his body from different cultures across the centuries.

Vega's wolf form unsurprisingly is the largest species of wolf in the world, the Canadian Timber Wolf, also known as the Mackenzie Valley Wolf(part of where he got the pack name from). While in wolf form he is nearly 200lbs, seven feet long, and four feet tall at the shoulder. His fur is midnight black. In his hybrid form, Vega is...well he's a werewolf in the way the media has popularized them. He becomes even bigger and taller in this form, cresting ten feet tall and becoming covered in thick, black fur from head to toe. His muscles bulge against his frame and he weighs nearly a ton. His features become almost completely wolf-like, for example, his eyes turn glowing golden and lupine, his claws and fangs grow large and pronounced, his face turn into a muzzle, and his ears grow long and pointed. Even his legs turn digitigrade and he can switch between bipedal and quadrupedal movement at will.

History

Born in 1522 as the firstborn son to an Ottoman noble father and a German noble mother, "Vega I" of House Erdoğan came into the world howling. Both his father Kazan and his mother Astrid were werewolves, having been drawn to each other's scents when they were children and coming together in their adulthood, not only to strengthen their families politically but for true love as well. While enjoying the life of a noble, Vega was also taught in secrets the truth of his heritage, and what he truly was. His family even took frequent "vacations", right around the time of a full moon each month for a convenient excuse as to why they weren't around when Vega would be at his most dangerous to the community at large.

Being the offspring of two pureblood wolf lines showed, however, and even from a young age, Vega was bigger, stronger, and faster than the other boys. By the time he was old enough to join the Turkish military forces as a teenager, he was larger than most grown men. After a few years of conflict on the battlefield, proving his strength and martial prowess, he grew even larger, and he gained the moniker "Giant of Belgrade".  The combination of his noble heritage, skill, and strength in battle quickly saw him rise through the ranks and gain prestige in the name of his House. Eventually, the Sultan himself Suleiman I took notice of his deeds and decided the Giant of Belgrade would be honored for his deeds, and he returned home a hero.

Vega continued to make his family proud for two decades, but by then his parents were old enough that it would be suspicious for them to have not aged a day in nearly forty years. So they spirited themselves away to a different land to begin anew, leaving Vega to rule Belgrade in their stead as their surviving heir. Realizing that his extremely long life would bring him the same sort of issues, he concocted a scheme where he would essentially become his own heir every few decades. He was masquerading as Vega V  in the year 1651 when Sultan Mehmed IV gave him command over a fleet and sent him across the seas to conquer more territory. Unfortunately, a freak storm he is convinced a Fae creature summoned suddenly darkened the sky, and Vega's small fleet of ships was destroyed, killing hundreds of men under his command. His supernatural abilities allowed him to survive the torrential catastrophe, but he was left adrift at sea, surviving on the remains of crewmen, passing fish, and sea birds for weeks until a passing pirate ship rescued him. He had no idea how far he'd drifted, and a new life besides serving his Sultan excited him.

So he stayed on with the ship, becoming a sea dog at the start of the Golden Age of Piracy. From that point, Vega developed a severe wanderlust that took him all around the world through the ages. He was known by many names through the 1600s and early 1700s, most famously Blackbeard. After faking his own death to escape the tightening noose of anti-piracy laws and policies, he spent the next few decades wandering with his immense wealth, which he used to help establish a family name during the founding of America. Now going by the name Vega Wülfe, he posed as the son of a British Aristocrat come to the newly founded country to make his own way. He continued to be present for or involved in many events that shaped the world over the next several hundred years. He fought in the Revolutionary War, became a cowboy, fought in the Civil War., WW1, WW2, etc... You name it, he was there in some capacity.

Like others of his kind, he found ways to remain hidden from the eyes of history despite his deeds, and after fighting in the entirety of the Korean and Vietnam War...he was tired and wanted to settle down. Near the tail end of '74, he found his way to Sacramento, and having more money than he knew what to do with, he began building a place where fellow wolves could call home and not have to live a nomadic lifestyle like he had for the past 450 years. That small settlement eventually became the San Joaquin River Pack, with him as it's Alpha. He was a powerful, charismatic, and extremely influential leader, and for forty years he built the River Valley Pack into something to behold. After four decades of static living, his wanderlust reared it's head again and he felt the need to go out and explore what the world had become, not what he'd left behind when he settled.

He allowed Donovan, his Beta, and another wolf to challenge each other to take his place, and when Donovan won, he left the Pack in his hands. It was a lot easier to travel the world by then, especially not having to hide what he was. So for the next eight years, he explored and saw what the world had become while he was in Sacramento. After he got his fill, he decided it was time to return home to where he was most comfortable, and where he was needed most. He went back to Sacramento, and even with the legacy he'd left behind in River Valley, rules were rules. He challenged Donovan to reclaim his position as Alpha, and after a good fight, he took his rightful seat as the Pack Leader once again. He's only been back a short while, but it feels like he never left.

Name: Jaslyna Roselight
Real Age: 94
Apparent Age: 27
Species: Fae
Affiliation: Seelie Court
Gender: Female (trans)

Faceclaim: Eden the Doll

Player: Foxy DeVille

Personality

Sultry | Manipulative | Frisky | Bold | Outgoing | Hedonistic | Caring | Passionate | Accepting | Vindictive | Materialistic | Vain

Appearance

In human form Jaslyna Roselight is a cute and curvy blonde who stands around five and half feet tall. Sometimes she sparkles. As a pixie she is much the same except considerably shorter with pointed ears and gossamer wings.

History

With the Mystic Realms exists an arboreal and idyllic valley known as the Hollow. This place is home to many of the fae known as pixies. Curious and mischievous, pixies have secretly journeyed to the mortal world for the past few centuries, sometimes to aid humans but more likely to play pranks on them. After the existence of supernatural beings became public knowledge, pixies began making more overt appearances among mankind. One such fae was Jaslyna Roselight.

A youngster among her kind, Jaslyna had a fascination for the land for mortals beyond the short excursions pixies usually made there. Rather than seeing humans as mere targets for a wicked sense of humor, she was actually interested in their culture. Around sixteen years ago Jaslyna chose to live more or less permanently with humanity. Her new abode was the most magical place on Earth… Hollywood. A talented shapeshifter ever since she decided that having a boy body just wouldn’t do at all, Jaslyna was able to assume a form more in line with other Angelenos. Her knack for magickal charm helped her start a career as a model, although her notorious social life had her more in the “famous for being famous category.” Jaslyna was an early exploiter of social media, which helped boost her visibility considerably. Over the years she got a few small parts in movies and had a reality show on E! That lasted a couple season called All That Jas.

Throughout her time on Earth Jaslyna claimed to be a princess among the pixies. While it is true her parents were considered the king and queen, those titles didn’t really mark them as hereditary rulers but rather whoever could be arsed to go to meetings of the Seelie Court. A few months ago the Court asked Jaslyna to use her influence along with her self-given title to advocate for the fae in Sacramento. The threat of cutting her off from the fairy dust of the Hollow that maintained her magick was the most persuasive part of their request. Upon her reluctant agreement, Jaslyna was given a magic mirror that allowed to communicate with and travel to the Mystic Realms with ease. And thus Jaslyna left the City of Angels for a new life in Sactown.

Jas looks great!

I just have a few points, which I'm sending to you in a DM. Otherwise, she looks great and I'm excited to have piqued your interest, Foxy!

News update! We now have a discord, everyone! If anyone is interested in joining...which is NOT a requirement of the game...feel free to come check it out in the link below!

Hello all! Sorry for the delays, work has been an absolute righteous bitch. However, I'm back in the swing of things, and here are the following links to the beginnings of what I am hoping will be a fantastic game!

SR OOC
This is for all things OOC. Meetups, plotting, discussing whatever. For those that aren't interested in the discord, please be sure to post and read up here!

SR Character Sheets
Everyone who has an approved CS can feel free to post up their characters here. So far we have some AMAZING cast members, and I'm excited to see how things develop!

I would like to join.  I do have a question.  I would like to play an elf; however, I am wondering if they are allowed to stay in the Mortal Realm.  I was going to have him fall in love with another supernatural.  He'd be from the Seelie Court but have a slightly different view than they do.  Unlike the others, he isn't as condescending in his views, but he's nowhere near an Unseelie Court Fae.  He doesn't have a sinister bone in his body.

I am the embodiment of feminine energy flourishing within a male body.

Elves from the Seelie Court are fine, and the Seelie Court Fae rules don't necessarily HAVE to be how a character acts. Just know that the UnSeelie would still show animosity towards him. I look forward to see what you come up with!

At this point it seems that there was some really good initial interest, but no long-standing interest to make this a viable game at this time. I'll be locking this thread for now and revisit the idea at a later date. Thanks for those that were interested!
