For the OWL subject list - there are the mandatory 7 that every student has to do and then students choose 2 electives from the rest or as many as they like. Only Hermione and about 3 others ever took on the full 12. A time turner is needed to actually do it  ;D

Physical Appearance: Johnathon has a mop of shaggy blonde hair that is kindof, mostly, sortof groomed. Johnathon is fit.  Moreso out of necessity from his time spent in Azkaban.  There wasn’t an abundance of things to do aside from exercise, plan revenge and try to not be tortured or killed.  Turns out Johnathon excelled at exercise. He has a tattoo on the back of his neck of his MBR#.

Personality Traits: Johnathon is quiet, contemplative and calculating.  He was that before the MBRC and the time spent in Azkaban has honed those aspects of his personality to a razor’s edge.  Being a member of Slytherin while muggle-born wasn’t an easy path to walk even before the MBRC.  He was accustomed to being targeted for ridicule or abuse and over the years a propensity for fighting back both with fists and spells relegated him primarily to a regimen of being isolated from or ignored by his fellow Slytherin.  Johnathon was ambitious before.  He needed to be in order to put up with Slytherin House and the internal politicking of Hogwarts.  His ambition has taken on a more ruthless path based off of his time spent in Azkaban.

Personal History: A “mud  blood” chosen for Slytherin was never going to be an ideal situation but Johnathon did his level best to do so.  Quiet but fierce when cornered or pushed past his tolerances, in time Slytherin House members knew that he was a lone wolf type at best and someone to be avoided or ignored at worst.
It worked for Johnathon.  He focused on classes as well as his passion for music and gave quidditch a good crack.  Preferring the position of beater.
When the MBRC came fully into power and Hogwarts turned upside down, Johnathon was one of the students that had been selected by other, more unkind members of Slytherin house to be a test subject for practicing their Cruciatus Curse upon.  There were times where Johnathon had felt as though it would have been better if they had killed him.  He’s processed those feelings in his opinion.  Instead he let it fuel a hunger to payback Crabbe, Goyle and the five other Slytherin and one Ravenclaw student who practiced their curses on him.  So much so that Johnathon’s last day at Hogwarts involved him catching Crabbe unaware and unprepared in the baths and Johnathon nearly choked Crabbe to death.
Of course, Johnathon was stopped by the Headmaster himself and saved Crabbe to an untimely but possibly deserved fate.  Johnathon was quickly processed and found himself in Azkaban in a handful of hours.
His time spent at Azkaban, after the dramatically steep learning curve was; in his opinion better than his last year at Hogwarts.  It was predictable.  Yes, there was a good deal of danger but once you had a grip on your surroundings at Azkaban and you were able to avoid the fiends, it wasn’t…terrible?  Johnathon took the old adage of, “You don’t have to be able to outrun the bear.  You just have to be able to outrun the slowest person also running with you.” and used it to maximum efficacy.  He’d set up other, weaker, more susceptible inmates to be the targets of the guards and sick monsters that would “visit” the prison and take their time torturing inmates.
His father after a great deal of appealing to the governing bodies for Johnathon’s release took matters into his own hands and tried to break Johnathon out of Azkaban.  It didn’t go well for Johnathon’s father and that in turn resulted in a month of torture and punishment for Johnathon of which regular images of his treatment was sent to his mother who was not just grieving the loss of her son’s freedom but also the loss of her husband’s life.

Rainy - whenever I am stuck for a name, I sometimes trawl through baby name sites / unusual baby name sites lol or a think of 2 traits they may have and google names with those meanings to see what pops up. Sometimes even name generators help - often just to spark the imagination. Hope some of that helps.

Physical Appearance: Sam has a lithe, tightly muscled frame and stands at just a smidge under 6 feet in height. His gaze fluctuates through a variety of colors-from darkest brown to bright green-gray due to photosensitivity though most would just call it having true hazel eyes.  His form hosts one tat on his nape, which is simply the word HALFBLOOD in Futharken Runes and looks like this. When he was younger (and happier) Sam kept a headful of dark curls. Since his sixth year, the young man has opted for a low-cut fade. A few scars mar his form- most notably a cut the length of his thigh on his left leg gained during the battle of Hogwarts.

Personality Traits:

• Has been told he's Abrasive and quick with a put-down, or cutting remark. He doesn't give a shit.
• Sam is highly Athletic and enjoys physicality more than most. It calms his mind.
• Due to his love of learning, Samson is a more than Capable Healer though his bedside manner leaves much to be desired.
• He is not Cynical; he just knows that people will always serve their own best interests, as a rule.
• He is Intelligent. It is what is.
• What do you mean he could be considered Moody? Shut up!
• Rage-Filled thanks to the past few years and utterly self-explanatory.
• Samson loves to learn and involves himself in plenty of Scholarly pursuits.

Personal History: Samson is the youngest Johnson-Prewett child born August 29th of 1980 during a thunderstorm. His mother, a healer working through St Mungos, decided on an at-home birth due to the Death Eaters, fighting, and her own ancestry (Muggleborn). Samson grew up surrounded by family and love, a bright and sweet child, who attended Ysgol Porth y Felin during his formative years before receiving his Hogwarts letter just before his 11th birthday.

Sorted into Ravenclaw, the young man was quiet, kind, and intelligent, gifted at diffusing tense situations with a teasing quip or a well-placed punch. He tried out for the Quidditch team in his third year at his father's behest and became an alternate Beater- noted for his ease in flying, quick reaction times, and wicked aim though he would not step up to the spot officially until his fifth year.

His big sister was killed during the summer of 1995 - a skirmish of some sort that the Ministry NEVER admitted to. This caused the family to turn away from the MoM and most of the wizarding world as they sought to handle their grief and rage via therapy and physical altercations. Her death was the catalyst for Sam cutting his hair, changing his persona, and diving deeper into potions and healing. It was also the main reason Sam chose to join the DA under Harry Potter's tutelage in his fifth year. Then he began to suffer debilitating dreams and night terrors. and decided against remaining with the group when classes resumed after Christmas break.

By the time Albus Dumbledore was killed at the end of Sam's sixth year, the young man had become much quieter, withdrawn, quick to anger, and quicker to lash out.  Some of this was due to the loss of his sister but was compounded by the death of his Father in the fall of 1997. By what should have been his seventh year, Sam was involved in not only healer training under Madame Pomfrey (when he could get away with it) but was also responsible for trying to help the kids who had withdrawn from classes and were hiding out in the RoR.

In solidarity with the captured and hiding muggle-born students, Sam got his nape tattoo and made it a point to show it off in class. He learned to make (and hide) healing potions of various strengths, was punished for NOT torturing the smaller kids, and was punished for NOT showing proper respect to the Carrows twins. With each punishment, his rage grew. With every child tortured, his anger lingered, so by the time the Battle of Hogwarts occurred, he was a ball of ferocity, taking down anyone he perceived as an enemy with curses and jinxes that were darker than most and being wholly responsible for the death of three Snatchers and a low-level thug like Death Eater.

He has never felt any remorse.

Due to the choppy nature of what would have been his seventh year, Sam was given a chance to come back and retake it. He has chosen to do so since he needs his NEWTS to qualify for healer training and because he would like to finish his SEER training. However, he suffers from nightmares and hand tremors.  This means that, for now,  his magic is not fully controlled. He has also learned that his Uncle is now considered to be MIA, and no one at the Ministry seems keen to offer any help.
