You have my, previously sweet Hufflepuff, now tortured and intense, young lady in your inbox!

The Ollivander's granddaughter idea is still bubbling and will likely get written up at work tonight but i need to head to bed to get some sleep! That Muggleborn wasn't going to let me go to bed til I wrote her up though! lol

I look forward to seeing what tweaks will make her even better for your game...she's going to be so damned fun to torment!

Thank you so much for sending her on. Will head over to read her now.
Once approved, just post her up here if you like. I will be making up a few threads over the next day or so. Get some sleep, happy dreaming.

I did want to ask everyone's opinion on this before creating threads

Where do you see MuggleNet being a perfect fit? Extreme? Non-Con? Bondage or Light?

ETA: How many digits is the muggleborn registration number meant to be?

I will add this question and it's answer to the FAQ pile for future reference  C:)

Heard you were back in town, Kendra! Just wanted to stop by and say welcome back! It's nice to see you adding another HP game to the roster. Wishing you and the game the very best! <3

Face Claim: Dove Cameron
Name: Aeryn Smythe

Nickname: N/A

Gender: Female

Age: 18 (August 28th)

Sexuality: Pansexual - male leaning

Birthplace: London, England

Blood Status: Muggle-born
Muggle-Born Registration Number: 6724-SMY/MB

Year: 7th - 1st time
House: Hufflepuff

Wand: Confiscated: 10 3/4in long, Dogwood, Unicorn hair core, pliant but not overly flexible
Patronus: A flight of sparrows GM Note: Will be unable to hold a happy memory long enough to summon this (once she has a working wand) at the start of the game
Apparation license: Yes

Physical Appearance: Aeryn's petite, 5'2, frame is tone and lithe for her height with delicate curves that she knows how to enhance or cleverly cover depending on her mood and clothing choices. Platinum blonde hair falls just past her shoulder blades, when left loose, but since her release from Azkaban, it is only worn loose around her family. Around other Witches and Wizards (especially those not Muggleborn) she makes a point of wearing it swept up in a variety of styles so that the back of her neck is bared and they cannot escape the line of numbers tracing her skin. Sharp green eyes seem to see everything and a gaze that used to dance with mirth now pierces through those she encounters, almost seeming to dare them to try her in some way. Clothing hides the worst of the scars received from Snatchers and guards in Azkaban, but one, delicate, knife scar traces the right side of her neck from ear to collarbone and she makes a point of leaving this bare just like the registration numbers along her spine.

Personality Traits: Stubborn | Determined | Intelligent | Ambitious | Reckless | Trustworthy (if she gives her word it's good) | Morally Grey | Loyal to those she cares for | Suspicious | Angry | Excellent at masking for her family

Personal History: Aeryn was the 3rd child (and only daughter) of John and Samantha Smyth. A Biologist and Chemist, respectively, they encouraged their children to immerse themselves in studies of the world around them and magic was never spoken of in their house except in abstract terms about the magic and wonder of the world around them. Certainly no one thought magic was real until the day Aeryn fell into a lake and got tangled in some sort of seaweed in the water. Struggling against the pull of the plant, the 9 year old screamed in fear and as bubbles flew from her mouth, one expanded to encompass her entire head, giving her air to breathe until her father could find her in the murky water. Only when they broke the surface did the bubble break leaving father and daughter staring at each other in complete shock. Not knowing what to make of the experience, both simply set it aside in favor of experiences in their world that they could understand.

And her father promptly enrolled Aeryn in swimming lessons so that no such accident would ever happen again.

Two years later a letter arrived inviting Aeryn to study at a special school for people who could perform magic. Not knowing, entirely, what to make of this, her parents followed the instructions on the letter and were shocked when they actually found themselves in Diagon Alley to purchase Aeryn's school supplies. Aeryn was thrilled! Magic was real! She was a witch!

The bright, hardworking, happy girl was sorted into Hufflepuff and quite happy to be among other young, optimistic, hardworking students. With a background in some basic human science, however, she couldn't help but to wonder how she'd gotten such a gift and she found herself spending much of her free time in the library looking through old wizarding genealogies. Could it be that some witch or wizard in the past had crossed paths with an ancestor of hers and left something in her families bloodline that had found it's way down to her? It seemed likely to her, but she never found proof one way or the other. But it made for entertaining research when she wasn't otherwise occupied with studies or the new friends she was making.

Not being as immersed in Wizarding history (all she knew came from books, there were no family stories to be brought up on for her) she didn't fully understand the scope of the danger just being Muggleborn put her in until word came of students being taken and imprisoned for nothing more than the state of their parents bloodline! She'd been in Muggle schools long enough, before Hogwarts, to have been taught about more than one genocide perpetrated through history and to have no interest in being a part of one herself!

Instead of submitting to review, she tried to run.

Still a student, she was never going to get far but she fought fiercely when cornered and only a Snatcher using the Crutiatus brought her down. She barely remembered her trial, it was decided before she ever arrived anyway, but having to watch her beloved wand be tossed into a box like so much garbage...that was a moment she'd never forget. Until then most of her situation had seemed like a nightmare but in that moment it was all too real and she felt the first stirrings of a deep, abiding, rage take root inside of her.

A rage that was nourished in Azkaban. There were no dementors but that didn't mean the guards didn't torment them and one, particularly nasty, piece of work (she'd learn eventually he was a cousin to one of the Snatchers she'd fought before her capture) seemed to take particular delight in tormenting her. Using a blade, carried in his pocket with some sort of sheath spell, he would chop off chunks of her hair and the one time she tried to fight back, he left her with the scar on her neck.

By the time the war was over and they were released, Aeryn had learned two lessons...1) patience and 2) ambition. She would have to be patient to find the right time to exact her revenge (and she promised herself she would) and ambitious to ensure she grew strong enough that no one could ever make her suffer in such a way again.

Her parents cried and hugged her so tightly she thought they might break something when she was Apparated home. Her mother sobbed over her hair and the very next day they were in Diagon Alley and purchased a potion to make it grow so that within a week you'd never know how severely it had been butchered. Her brothers vowed, despite having no magic themselves, to bring whoever had hurt her to their knees and while she cherished their anger on her behalf, she knew there was nothing they could actually do without being hurt themselves. Still, her families love helped to sooth some of the wounded edges in her battered soul but the Aeryn they knew was long gone. She spent more time alone, more time brooding, seeming to be waiting for something...and then it came.

Word arrived that students could come and complete, or retake if interrupted, their last year. They would have the opportunity apply for the return of their confiscated wands (that they weren't simply returned but were bound in red tape was a fact that made Aeryn's blood boil...how dare they!) but until their old wand was restored or a new one purchased - and oh yes, Ollivander's was destroyed along with all his inventory so it would be awhile - they could study without.

Aeryn wanted to scream in the new Minister smarmy face! How dare he act as if he was doing the Muggleborn's a favor! How patronizing! After a week spent in her room, however, she told her parents she was going back to school. She wanted to finish her studies (ok, she wanted time in the Restricted section of the library to learn as much as she could) and they promised to visit Diagon Alley regularly so that, if she didn't find her wand, they could get her a new one as soon as he started having some in stock again. Or perhaps a vacation was needed (her Mother's suggestion) after all, there were other wandmakers in Europe, maybe they didn't need to wait for Ollivander.

also my vote would be Non-Con or Extreme due to the subject matter but most people tend to place  Howgwarts games in light.

Extreme here as well.

Not that I have any plans to push things as a writer but from a GM perspective, it chafes me when I come up with an idea and I'm limited by the board I am writing in.

Behold - Clarity Selwyn---

Face Claim: Lauren London
Name: Clarity Denissa Selwyn

Nickname: Claire (to those she considers friends)

Gender: Female

Age: 19 (as of 1st September)

Sexuality: Sapiosexual | Panromantic

Birthplace: London, England

Blood Status: Muggleborn
Muggle-Born Registration Number: 0401-SEL/MB

Year: 7th year - 1st time
House: Gryffindor

Wand: Apple wood with a dragon heartstring core, 10 ¾ and supple flexibility (before it was snapped)
Patronus: Hawk
Apparation license: Yes

Physical Appearance: Clarity is a curvaceous caramel-hued woman who stands at a smidge under 5"4" and weighs just a bit over 130 pounds.  A tribal Hawk adorns her left calf while a tribal wolf has pride of place on her left shoulder blade. Her hands host a variety of small, thin scars across the backs and palms, while her face has a relatively long scar along her left cheekbone. Teeth marks and other scars mar her form in less apparent places. Her registration number is tatted on the right side of her throat, high enough that it can not be hidden, not that she tries to. Clarity dresses for comfort, not style; one will never find her in either heels or dresses.

Personality Traits:

  • Adaptable: Due to her time on the run, Claire quickly changes to suit new environments.
  • Disciplined: Her years in the Wizarding world have taught her the value of controlling her temper and the world around her.
  • Hardworking: Her family taught her the value of diligence. She tends to do every task with the same dedication.
  • Hot Tempered: Her hands and mouth tend to get away from her the moment she perceives any unfairness.
  • Intelligent: Her smarts are something she has always embraced, as No one can take that from her.
  • Stoic: Pain and deprivation mean NOTHING. She will survive.
  • Vindictive: The last year has only strengthened Claire's need for vengeance.

Personal History: Clarity was born on October 31st, 1979, to a loving family in a five-bedroom house located in West Hampstead. The youngest of two girls, she grew up well aware of the wizarding world (and her place in it) as Cerise did her very best to keep Claire apprised of what one could expect if one were NOT from a wizarding family. The pair, both highly intelligent and sociable, debated the houses and magic from the first time the youngest Selwyn exhibited any magical ability (age 7, an exploded TV when she couldn't watch what she wanted). Due to the many talks and debates,  the youngest Selwyn daughter thought she'd be fine once she received her Hogwarts letter.

She was wrong.

Sorted into the same House as Harry Potter, the young Gryffindor struggled with the inherent (and rampant) prejudice exhibited by many pure and half-blood students- getting into fights, arguing against bigotry and garnering far too many detentions, losing house points with abandon during her first three years of schooling and developing a DEEP dislike for what she saw as unfair advantages. Eventually, she retreated into study and research, curbing her temper through sheer force of will. She learned to get payback in small, quiet ways that could not be linked to her and simultaneously developed a bit of a theft habit.

That would come in handy--eventually.

The Summer between her sixth and seventh year, she lost her grandfather, mother, and sister in one fell swoop, the result of a bombing. It wasn't until she tried to purchase her supplies for her last year of schooling that she learned about the Muggleborn Registration Act. Instead of turning herself in, she ran with the help of her da and grandmum. She did not stay with them and begged the pair to leave the country, but the pair never did, instead holing up in their vacation home in Arundel.

Claire spent months on the run but was finally captured in February of 1998; her wand snapped, a sham trial given and tossed into prison like yesterday's garbage. She suffered brutal and repeated violations there but fought her attackers every time, gaining new scars on her hands, chest, back, and legs. It did not matter; she would be no one's victim. By the time the war was over, and Azkaban emptied of those who had been unfairly imprisoned, Claire was no longer the smiling, mouthy girl. No, she learned to plot, to plan, to wait, to NEVER cry.

When those in power shoved the paper at her for her to sign? She did so, glaring at every single person in the room. When they told her that she could attend Hogwarts without her wand until she could gain a new one, she agreed, her full lips holding a smirk that promised retribution. She left the Ministry that day with a collection of galleons, and a glass paperweight while snapping a wand or three on her way out. Fuck 'em.

Family:

  • Dawnita Selwyn nee Jackson | Mother | OR Nurse | Muggle | 41 - (deceased)
  • Cerise Selwyn | Sister | Auror | Muggleborn | 27 - (deceased)
