The Queendom of Jewels (Accepting!)

In the wake of a pitch black night came a light in the sky, shooting far off in the distance. It’s glow gave off a warmth and power that was unbeknownst to those that watched, and as it fell, curiosity only grew to where it’s whereabouts would be found. As the light faded, the object thought to be lost, was eventually discovered by that of a young woman by the name of Aranea. A poor woman, suffering from a life of hardships, found herself drawn to the location of the falling star, it’s glow and aura calling to her, like an enchanting voice echoing throughout her mind. The falling stars’ remnants had all but faded on its entrance, and what lay left were a scattered group of gems, their shine hauntingly beautiful. Desperate, and unnerved by their discovery, Aranea took the jewels in hopes of selling them, but soon found that they were more then they appeared. Like a crackle of lightning, the jewels held a power that was far greater then what others possessed in their world. Nothing had ever been possible in the world she lived in, of abilities that no mere mortal could ever dream to possess than in stories and fables.


The jewels were hidden, kept safe as Aranea pretended naught of knowing their existence, all while watching as the world around her became more dangerous, and even more advanced. Stones became walls, walls became castles, and castles soon became fortresses for battle. It wasn’t until much later in Aranea life, having found a home and a husband, that she knew the jewels were to be used for the good of the people, to help bring the world to some form of peace. With the jewels she had, she was forced to take a stand against those that threatened her home and her family, when groups from all across the land were at each other’s throats. The jewels became her weapon, but rather then kill, she used them to stop the fighting, to bring an end to the conflict that had been plaguing the land she had survived.

The war ended with Aranea giving her life for the cause, but the jewel's existence was far from over. In a strange twist of fate, the jewels faded from existence, seemingly lost to time. The people of the realm thought them destroyed, not surviving the battle just as Aranea had. Decades however, women with similar abilities to a jewel began to appear. Only three in origin, just as Aranea had found all those years ago, the realm soon began to realize the jewels reincarnation cycle. One jewel would be reincarnated with a young woman to be given the powers of the gods, then to perish by old age or battle to then be reincarnated once more.

Story


It has been centuries since Aranea first came in possession of the gems, and the realm has now flourished and changed with the times of old. Jewel wielders come into existence from seemingly any corner of the globe, to be seen as soldiers, worshipped as Gods, or hidden away seemingly afraid of the attention it brings. While the Jewels have a power all their own, coming from their own seemingly unknown magical origin, centuries time has brought about stories and folklore of the jewels and their powers. With each passing generation, stories of legend began to form around the jewels and their powers, and their origins from which the world wonders. Soon enough, legendary gods became commonplace in towns and cities, their stories and folklore becoming near commonplace to the masses.

However, somewhere hidden in the depths of the dark forests, The Wilds, beckons a power not seen before. Magical in origin, yet similar that of the jewels chant, a dark force lingers in the foggy depths, waiting to deliver its strike against those who wield the mystical jewels of the past...

Whispers and rumors have weaved their way through many a tavern and magical abode, mentioning the disappearances of many men and young boys throughout the small towns and villages, and most strange of all, the reoccurring gleam of a Ruby jewel...




Bearers and The Jewels of Legend

There's only a few known jewels in the world, the wielders carried by women specifically as tradition known as Bearers. With each jewel, comes a special set of powers, unique only to that woman who carries it, and the responsibility of the power the now possess.


  • -Aquamarine: The Jewel of Water. Tidal waves of water and whirlpools engulf towns and cities, washing away armies unprepared for the trek. In their awakened state, they gain the powers of the sea serpent, Leviathan
  • -Jade: The Jewel of Wind. Gusts and bursts of wind are controlled by this jewel wielder, able to create large winds and storms that ravage towns and plains. In their awakened state, they gain the power of Garuda.
  • -Sapphire: The Jewel of Ice. Glacial bursts of ice can pierce through stone and armor alike, while dropping down temperatures to near killing degrees. In their awakened state, they gain the abilities of the ice maiden of legend, Shiva.
  • -Pearl: The Jewel of Light. Warm glows of light burst forth as energy that can be used as both a weapon, and a boon of healing. In their awakened state, they gain the abilities of the cleric healer, Siren.


The Jewels however now seem to have chaotic counterparts, opposite to their own. These Jewels have come up suddenly without warning, prompting panic and confusion amongst the populace that have the unfortunate luck of running into their abilities. (Please note the Jewels below can only be wielded by men).


  • -Amber: The Jewel of the Earth. Crushing strength and skin as thick as stone bless this wielder, making them a dangerous adversary that can topple both cities and kingdom alike. In their awakened state, they become the Bounding Monster of Strength, Titan.
  • -Amethyst: The Jewel of Lightning. Streaks of lightning scatter across the heavens, lighting a path of destruction they moment they come in contact with any living being. In their awakened state, they become they bloodthirsty monster, The Wyvern.
  • -Ruby: The Jewel of Chaotic Flame. Orbs of fire reign down upon this wielder's enemies, burning anything in their path. In their awakened state, they become the destructive beast, Ifrit.
  • -Obsidian: The Jewel of Destruction. Beams of magical energy rain from the sky above to destroy all life, leaving nothing in it's path than ash and death. In their awakened state, they become the beast of chaos, Bahamut.

With each jewel wilder and element comes great power, however the clashing of elements can snuff out in equal forms. While Jewels are powerful constructs of magic, they aren't immortal to a fault, especially in their abilities matched with those opposing to them. Each elemental jewel will have their own considered opposite, that will have an elemental resistance against another's powers and abilities.

-Jade (Wind) vs. -Amethyst (Lightning)
-Pearl (Light) vs. -Obsidian (Dark)
-Sapphire (Ice) vs. -Ruby (Fire)
-Aquamarine: (Water) vs. -Amber (Earth)



Crystals, Magical Ability, and Invokers

As each jewel dropped down to the earth below, large craters of elemental crystal formed, the height of mountains and ranges stretching to the heavens. Mined with the tools created, regions of the land began chipping away at the mountains of crystal that formed along the surface. With each piece chipped away came mined crystals of elemental potential, allowing those with no magical ability to wield magic for resources.

Crystals can be mined and sold at a price at many a marketplace or merchant, to be used for purposes both recreational, and battle.

Alternatively, those that are born with the innate ability to cast magic by their own means are known as 'Invokers'. While it is not guaranteed everyone will have this ability, families with the trait have cultivated ways to keep the bloodline alive, such as marrying into other families with the born trait. Regions across the world have looked upon Invokers in different ways; to those that take on jobs and paths that help better cities and commerce, to laborers that slave Invokers to fight in wars against kingdoms and regions, to even the extremes of selling Invokers to rich families to be used as servants and protectors.

Some corners of the world even brand those that have innate magical ability, to let others know of their power, and their usefulness to whoever happens to stumble upon them unknowingly. The brand isn't conspicuous in nature, usually shown along a part of the body that is the most visible, such as the face, arms, or legs. The brand's sigil is either that of two spears diagonal to one another to symbolize their use in war efforts, or a brand of the Kingdom from which they were purchased in.

Each Invoker is proficient in one certain element known to the world; Fire, Ice, Water, Earth, Lightning, Wind, Darkness, and Light. While their magical ability is smaller scale compared to that of Bearers, stronger and higher cast magic can be possible if the Invoker has aligning elemental crystal at their disposal to channel the energy from. Doing so however comes at great risk, as those that cast higher forms of magic are at risk of being consumed by the aether of the crystals, the magical energy too much for one mortal to bear.

While Invokers are only known for one specific element in their nature, there has been studies and scriptures researching the possibility of Invokers channeling more than one element. No research has come to light of this being possible as of present time.

Locations


Lesallum, the famed Kingdom that was founded by Aranea, the woman responsible for the discovery of the famed Jewels of legend. The Kingdom has been standing for many centuries, flourishing from the waters and foliage that surround the city’s outer walls. With their trade of business being textiles and iron for weaponry, the Kingdom has become a beacon for all that wish to find a safe haven, and a home from the dangers of The Wilds. Shops and taverns litter the grounds below, where a staircase watched by Lesallum’s most skilled guards keep watch, opening only by order of the Queen, or if you are lucky enough to have been summoned. The ruler of Lesallum is Queen Aranea Chamillet, the current wielder of the Sapphire Jewel.


Uruk, the Desert Kingdom. Arrival is days by foot, and hopefully fewer by way of horse, the Kingdom has fallen from grace over the past century. Once a thriving kingdom that held high in strength, might, and honor, has now become a Kingdom run by intimidation, and ruthless might. After the last King, Set, fell after a war between Uruk and a coup against the royal family, the Kingdom now falls into the hands of Set’s son, Osiris. A king that isn’t afraid to show his ruthless side, he leads Uruk with an iron fist, but has shown a more passionate side to restoration of his Kingdom; not just his families name, but for his people. Uruk has had talks of making a pact with Lesallum for some time, but so far, the Kingdoms have made mutual agreements of trust with one another. Known as the "Sleepless Kingdom" for their many festivals and nights of joyous festivities, travelers flock to the desert paradise for equal amounts of trade and pleasure.


The Wilds; a dense forest that is just a few miles from the Kingdom of Lesallum, the mysterious land had almost seemingly popped into existence two centuries ago, with no explanation. As if by magic, The Wilds have been warned by many to be a dark, dangerous place, one that lures you to no return. A fog consumes the woods at all hours, and those who are not skilled enough with a sword or magic are prone to a swift, or drawn out, death. No one knows what truly lurks within The Wilds, but others versed in the magical community have heard of strange magical energy that emits from the trees and fog. Almost like a sirens song, villagers and those alike have become entranced by its near silent call, and as of but a month ago, has taken many into its depths, never to be heard of again...


Wyspmoor; A village set just beyond the borders of The Wilds, the location is home to the Wysp people, townsfolk that have spanned countless generations in the same location. Having been at the border when The Wilds first sprung to life, the town has been known to be shrouded in fog all hours of the day, with small glimpses of sunlight every other one day of the year. The Wyspmoor people have become the guardians of The Wilds, barring people from entry, or only allowing those who are either foolish enough, or have the authority to enter. Within the village is a castle for those in the elite, while the village folk below act as the servants and common folk, causing a discrepancy of class privilege and power. Those that were not born in Wyspmoor are considered Outsiders, and will be highly stigmatized from the mass majority, unless given trust from the people. That however, is near impossible to obtain...



The Northlands, the hinterlands past the mountain ranges north of Lesallum. Despite being a picturesque snowscape with woodlands and cold rivers running through the region, the snowfield houses dangers ranging from occasional bandit attacks to beasts and other monsterkin that can survive cold weather easily. Well-traveled roads from Lesallum to Altorea allow travelers to avoid the majority of these dangers, but nevertheless Ministry Guards walk the paths to aid travelers should the worst come to pass.



Altorea, a mostly snowbound city among the edge of the Northlands, it sits a days journey north of the cave entrance that leads to the cavern through the mountains to access Lesallum. Freezing temperatures and a constant  of snowfall plague the region, both fact of being Northside, and also for the crystal mountain that sits just beyond the city, the resting site of the Sapphire's crash to the world centuries ago. Despite the cold temperatures all year around, the beauty of the region varies by season, and the various commodities it offers combined with the open port to far off lands marks it as a large hub of trading and commerce for the mainland, one of their main sources being the exporting of ice crystals to many regions across the globe. Peace in Altorea is maintained by The Ministry, lead by Head Minister of Affairs Varis Imelga, a man hailed as a hero to the people of the city but hides many a dark secret relating to dealings all across the continent.



The Dragon Moors, A rugged, yet beautiful land that spans much of the western part of the continent. Its resources are plentiful and its people resourceful. Its sky is often gray and fog hangs low in the air, giving it a heavy feeling of mysticism. The Dragon Moors are said to have gotten its name in ancient times as a graveyard, many of the rocky outcroppings and more mountainous areas said to be the skeletal remains of ancient dragons.



Valdenheim, Valdenheim stands at the heart of the Dragon Moors, a monument to the endurance of the people that have claimed the territory for centuries. While mostly self-sufficient, their main exports are fish, hides, cut stones, and salt in exchange for certain resources they lack. While the people have always been somewhat aggressive and stubborn, the overthrow of their previous Queen has caused a more radical increase in that than expected. The new Queen, Astrid Wolfsblood, rules through strength and brutality, though has shown moments of compassion that may signal she is not beyond hope. Despite that, she has accomplished more in two years than her mother did in thirty and the Valden people do not seem inclined to go against her.


Pararousi: Many a poem and song have been penned about Pararousi's splendor, from its grand canals of the deepest blue which could easily accommodate the passage of two large sailing ships side by side, to the great white walled manors wherein reside the city's ruling merchant families. It is regarded as a paradise for artists where the greats of ages past created works that were awe-inspiring in scope and technique. From the gargantuan murals that greeted guests and returning traders alike at the city's harbor gate, to the great marble sculptures of the city's founders who stood guard at the doors of Pararousi's Republican Hall. Here, those with the capital to bid into their position oversee everything from civic works and trade agreements, to military spending and diplomatic treaties. What the artists do not portray, except for in the most coded of metaphor, was the deep political intrigue that stretched to every corner of the coastal city. Of the layers of espionage that took root in every canal, every market stall, and every museum of a city that always found itself aware of, and aligned with the winner of any conflict, much to the city's economic fortune.

I would allow players to create villains if they would like, as conflict is always necessary for a compelling story! :)

I would most likely come up with my own stuff, but players would be free to create their own storylines or villains to make the RP more enjoyable for everyone.

I was thinking anime-esque, though there can be high fantasy elements, such as weapons and classes.But mostly going for an anime vibe to it, for the time being idea wise. :)

Well for jewels as I’ve stated, they are only given to women in the beginning. I’m not exactly sure what your question is, but I’ll have more answers for it, and possible solutions, if this gets enough traction.

If I had to think of a certain power level, nothing too god mod from the get go at that isn’t any fun. If I had to explain how I would imagine the powers working, it’s very closely compared to that of Semblances from the show RWBY. Special powers or abilities that are unique to that person, but in this case, only a few select people have them.

So for example, people who don’t have jewels would have weaker spells at their disposal, but only by book or scroll. People with jewels can have a special ability that crosses the barriers of normal magic, and have the advantage of not having to use spell books.

I would say they should have a good power that is unique, but nothing that could, say, level a kingdom or mountain. Have a power that can, overtime, grow and mature for more uses in the future of the game. :)

No we do not have a full group yet. The interest just started so it may take some time, but please feel free to start thinking up a character concept. I’ll be making the character sheet soon after work today, so people can start making them. If there’s enough interest, I’ll start creating things to start us off while the other spots for Jewels can be taken by others in the future.

I want to let you know that the concept sounds interesting, but very situational. You’d have to find someone that would be willing to be permanently paired (aroma to ally speaking) with your character, and that is a bit early to be thinking about right now. I’d say simply figure out a character concept, and then if other people join, ask about that idea to others and see if anyone is willing.

I don’t want you to have your idea thrown out right from the get go just because you couldn’t find someone. :(

Female characters only. They can be half species if you would like! Males are able to get powers of jewels, but not by birthright or being chosen; by stealing the power from killing a woman who has the jewels power, or by being given the power from another who holds it.

Also, thank you for the interest guys! I’ll be beginning to create the character sheet for everyone to use, as well as get pics and such for reference for the world. It may take me some time, so please be patient! In the meantime, if anyone has questions, please feel free to ask, and to talk with others about your ideas! I have an idea for my characters backstory, so if anyone is interested, please let me know in a PM :)

If you want something like that you’ll have to make a really lengthy backstory that makes sense for the character, and can be something that I approve. When someone who has the power dies, it goes to someone random. If someone inherits the power from another, it go only go one way, as in it can’t be passed down from generation to generation, as that could lead to power struggles and fighting regarding the power and who exactly gets to keep it for themselves for certain gain.

I’m still working out the kinks to this game idea, and I’m still not entirely sure I want only females to have the powers or not. Feel free to begin thinking of ideas, but don’t get concrete ideas and sticking to them, as my vision for this could possibly change your ideas you may be dead set on.

An update for everyone interested! Before I create a character sheet for everyone to create characters, I want to take this time to create a world building thread so that’s how the world established is less confusing, and others will not have too many questions that will lead to more questions haha.

So, I will be creating a short recap of what’s been going in in the world, what it is like, the magic that can be used, and all that fun stuff! Please be patient as I will be working on it over the course of the few days. :)

Hello everyone! I would like to announce that I got my world building done, and it’s actually going to be in the first post of this recruitment thread! I worked hard on it, but if I’ve missed anything, or if you have more questions, please feel free to ask me!

I’ll be creating my own character when I have spare time today helpfully, so feel free to get creative with what kind of character you would like in this world! I’m hoping to have a good amount of male and female characters, but everyone’s tastes are different, so please dont be obligated to do something because I, or others, may ask! Have fun and get writing! :D

I plan for this game to be an overarching story, something that will have a plot that progresses as time goes on; it’ll have tense moments, battles, fun missions, and even sides of romance and smut along the way too! If anyone has ideas for plots for the future, please PM so that we may discuss.

Name: Greta Caelum

Race (Human, Halfling, Orc, Fairy, etc.): Human

Appearance (Anime pictures preferred, or detailed description): Greta is a young woman with freckled, cream colored skin, standing at around 5'4, and weighing about 125 pounds. Her mid length autumn brown hair always seems to be tied in two matching braids, a style she grew up with while living in her village, the color contrasting with her forest green eyes. Greta has shown to have a light hearted and jovial personality, truly shining in her smiles, usually sporting one wherever she goes. Her clothes are free flowing and comfortable, matching her laidback and inviting personality.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality (Please be descriptive): Greta is a curious, and adventurous, young woman, one that wants to know of the world around her, and see what life has to give. Taking things in strides, she tries to look for the positives when things don’t seem to work out, but even bad moments and annoyances can still get to her. Despite this, she never wishes to burden others, and because of this, she tries her best to stay positive, at times, putting others’ happiness before her own. Loyal and dedicated, these skills come on and off the battlefield, with Greta actively participating in expeditions with other Gem holders to help their faction grow to help bring peace.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): For as long as Greta remembered, she lived within the village of Montreux, a small village known for their exports of wood and plants herbs for healing medicines. Located far off the outskirts of Lesullam, Greta had grown up with her mother and father, both farmers, living off the land and tending to their crops each harvest season. With each passing day, Greta basked in the happiness that she received from the village she surrounded herself in, always finding something that she could look forward to, such as homemade apple pie from her mother, or getting the time after chores to visit her friend Adam, who lived but a few houses down. Every day was a new chance for more, and Greta soon found herself even more connected with the land, finding a new friend in a Wyspmoorian by the name of Serafina, who she helped save while she was exploring the forests near The Wilds for berries and herbs.

However, Great couldn’t help but be curious about the city life of the Kingdom; what were their lives like, what kind of food did they eat, was it better then home cooked meals? Her mind began to wander every so often as she did her chores, with her dreams even beginning to show what she thought were vivid images of the Castle inside; even she was surprised with her own mind with how detailed and specific some places were. It was but a few years later, that Greta began to take trips every so often to the Kingdom’s inner city for supplies and better in gradients for food, wanting to splurge in things such as spices that were hard to come by, or even things such as small trinkets and jewelry that she could never find back in her hometown. She had always felt something, like her home was her home, yet...not. She felt connected with her family, with those around her, with everyone she met in the village, but the Kingdom always kept calling, like an insistent memory, teasing you for not fully remembering. As Greta grew, her childish worries began to morph into responsibilities, and choices that she wish she didn’t have to make.

Her friendship with Serafina began to break after the two had an argument, the crux of it being one of the most amazing discoveries, in that her friend was now a holder of a Jewel. While it was amazing to have such an honor, in Greta’s eyes, Serafina thought differently, and their friendship was strained from that moment on. Separated after her friend was taken to the kingdom, Greta found herself still stuck where she was, still wondering, still wishing.

Her life up until this point had been nothing but happiness and the same routine, but it changed when she discovered a hidden document, ruffled within a pile of other parchments within her house. With the royal seal of the Caelum family etched into the paper, Greta couldn’t help her curiosity, and read...only to discover a confusing truth; she was...apart of the royal family? There must have been some mistake, she thought to herself, re-reading the same letter, over and over...

But it was there, written in ink.

The talk with her parents, or rather, The Royal Family’s most renowned and trustworthy guards, had no choice but to tell the secret, for the now realized that Greta was now a young woman, and with no threats heard of for years, they found that it was finally time for the youngest of the Caelum sisters to return to her home. To the shock and surprise of the rest of the villagers, they supported and only wished the best for Greta, knowing not of her heritage, but of her caring demeanor and dedication to others.

She’s only been at the Castle for a year, and her tasks from farm chores have switched to that of helping around the castle library and gardens. Much to the chastising and insistence of the castle servants, Greta finds herself even more mesmerized and curious about her new life; or rather, what her old one used to be...

Sexual Preferences: Greta hasn’t had much experience in the sexual aspects of relationships. Much a young woman with curiosity when it comes to love and finding someone to be with, she’s unsure but hopeful. Despite not having much experiance in romance, both romantically and sexually, her curiosity gets the better of her, and she can’t help but gossip and awe at the audacious revelations that come from adult romance with her other girl friends. If one was to show her a world of allure and lust, well, Greta wouldn’t oppose exploring those options were they to be presented to her...

Likes: Greta enjoys the simple things in life, having lived and grown up within a small rural village. Things such as fresh baked goods and flowers are some of her favorite things, but even the things that people don’t think to adress, such as the smell of fresh rain, the feeling of laying in a field of flowers. Though, Greta can’t help but be curious about what lies beyond her small home, such as the Kingdom of Lesallum, and the Order of the Jewels. Daydreaming of something more then herself is what causes her to space out, but it’s one of her favorite pastimes.

Dislikes: One thing Greta can’t stand is the idea of being kept in the dark. As her parents did to her during her childhood about who they were, and their connection with the royal family, Greta had always know she felt different, and was conflicted when she found out. Not knowing the reasons, being confused, and unknowing of the future, Greta tries her hardest to be open with her friends and those close to her, though there are personal things she keeps to herself, unsure of how to ask for help. Another dislike of hers would have to be individuals that think themselves higher then others. Even though there are those in the world with magic or powers that far surpass normal people (i.e. Gem holders), Greta doesn’t flaunt her power to undermine others; rather, the opposite, to help. Seeing others boast about their wealth or status sours her mood, especially having lived in a farming village for most of her life, knowing the hardships others have been through.

Potential plots involving your character? What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?:

-Blind Trust: I would love to have an individual manipulate or trick Greta to either do things for said individual, or using their relationship for secrets and information regarding the kingdom of Lesallum. Much like a certain animated movie, the plot idea of using someone’s emotions to manipulate and gain an advantage has always been one of my favorites, mostly because you can do so much with it, not just in a romantic setting!

-The Ways of Royalty: Being apart of the Royal Family is hard, but even more so, not remembering and suddenly being thrust into it is even harder, especially with all the etiquette and dance lessons you have to go through! I would love to have someone help Greta get used to the lifestyle of the Royal individuals, especially with helping her learn to dance and use the proper etiquette for social settings! Awkward talking and stepping on toes, always a fun time~

-A Fair Maiden’s Heart: A beautiful stranger; tall and fair. That unfamiliar pounding of the heart, that fluttering feeling that doesn’t seem to go away; is this...love? So unprepared and yet so eager to know of romance, Greta is by no means knowledgeable in that aspect, but I would love to see what would happen if she found herself at the attention of a handsome suitor! This plot idea could tie into the Blind Trust idea, where it could lead to darker and evil ire intentions, but it’s all up to whoever decides it’s a try!

Strengths/Advantages (Please have at least three): One of Gretas strengths would have to be the power she has from her Emerald jewel, one that allows her to “hear the voices of the forests”. Not an outspoken language like humans, but more so by feelings and emotions that plants have, Greta is able to feel those very emotions that the forests and trees give out, keeping her connected with nature and benefit from their partnership. The second would be her infectious personality, one that seems to be inviting and warm to all that she meets; Greta has always loved meeting new people, and she’s had a knack for reading people and striking conversation. Finally, her third strength would have to be how she’s been able to see both sides of life in Lesallum; both village, and royal. Knowing the ups and downs, how people act, think, how life affects them and the hardships they go through, Greta is able to give insight and input into how both can harmonize, and work together.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages (Please have at least three): One of Greta’s weaknesses would have to be that her personality brings those that would like to use her naivety and curiosity for their own advantages. She’s by no means stupid, however, her wonder in the world, and the people that come and go, fascinate and interest her. She can’t help but ask them questions and get to know them better, and at times, it can be one of Greta’s downfalls by being used for more then pleasant ideals.

Another weakness would have to be her tether between both sides of life; royal, and village folk. Wanting to work together to help one another, at times she feels that she’s walking on a thin line, unable to chose where exactly she belongs, and where she doesn’t. She misses her simple life, yet craves to know more about her previous one, and at times, she doesn’t know where she truly belongs.

Finally, Greta is prone to being a rather emotional woman, one that tends to wear her heart in her sleeve, and wishes for a world that could work together to rid the world of evil, rather then fight and argue with one another. Things she disagrees with, times where things are kept from her, instances like this are what cause her to speak her mind, and unfortunately, her emotions can be used and manipulated by others for their own purposes, wether for political gain, corruption against the royal family of Lesallum, or even to take down Greta herself by means of mental manipulation and blind trust.

Here’s our first NPC, The Queen of Lesallum; Freyja Nox Caelum!

Personality (Please be descriptive): Queen Freyja is a dutiful and responsible ruler, one that cares for the lives and happiness of her people. She does whatever she can to create peace within her own kingdom, and hopes to find more that can help others even outside of the borders. When in talks with others of royal heritage, or those of importance, she shows an air of respect and dual grace, knowing that relationships with other countries and Kingdoms is important. However, this doesn’t mean that she can’t let a breath a sigh of relief, and talk amongst commoners, and her Order of Jewels, in a more personal manner. She’s approachable to those that don’t deem her too important or too intimidating, and she only wishes for others to treat her normally, not wishing to use her power as Queen to unintentionally undermine others.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): Freyja Nox Caelum is born form a royal family spanning generations, one that has been known in infamy as the direct lineage to that of the first Jewel holder of time, Aranea herself. Despite being tied to her lineage, there has been a known absence in those who have been chosen by the Jewel’s gift, and as Freyja grew up, she knew that the chances of being chosen were slim to none. Despite this, she took a her lessons in dancing, history, and diplomatic seriously, knowing that even without a jewels power, she would become the next Queen, as her younger sister, Greta, would be behind her in line to the throne. Their family had been dutifully recording all history of the jewel holders after their beloved Aranea, the libraries full of documents and history of powers that have come and gone, and one of their tasks had been to protect any stray jewels that had not whisked themselves away to their owners. Freyja continued to work hard, and even had time in her busy schedule to be able to talk and play with her sister; despite being 9 years older, she still loved her sister so.

However, Freyja’s childhood would son turn to the worst, as when she was but 10 years old, an assassination attempt was put on her family, most notably her Father and Mother, the King and Queen. In the many centuries that people have tried to find the secrets of the jewels, to try and take them for themselves, their had been many dangers that had come and gone with Freyja’s family. However, one night, unfortunately, one succeeded in the killing of Freyja’s parents; despite the guards finding the perpetrator, the deed had already been done. The young girl only had time to grieve for but a day, before the next night, she found herself in the presence of the Emerald Jewel.

Now both a jewel weirder, one chosen within the family in nearly two decades, and now the youngest Queen in their families history, Freyja made a difficult decision at her young age. With the help Lesallum’s High Council, and the kingdoms most trustworthy servants and guards, Freyja ordered for those most trustworthy to take her sister away for safety, and to raise her far from the Kingdom, where none would be able to find her. It was in that day that Freyja had to grown up fast; saying goodbye to her young sister, and to begin her new life as Queen, with the help of the High Council.

Now, at the age of 27, Freyja has become a wise ruler, one that understands what is to be expected of her, and the consequences if she fails. Now at peace knowing that her sister is safe, and that young woman with jewels have begun stepping forward to the safe haven of Lesallum, she hopes that the visions of darkness she’s had are only but a plaguing nightmare...

Sexual Preferences: Freyja isn’t prone to being too shy when it comes to showing her interest in someone. Being the Queen, she needs to show tact and grace, and unfortunately, she doesn’t have the time to be messing around with others that only would want her for her status or power. She’s been content so far with ruling alone, but she can’t help but be curious as to what a married life would be like.

Combined with his effeminate features, he has come across more moments than he can count where others may mistake him for a female, and as a result he tries to be wary about what he wears to help convey the right message to avoid awkward moments. Nevertheless, he prides himself on being cute and would prefer to have it no other way, even if it causes him no end of grief from even his own species.

Personality: Energetic, happy-go-lucky, friendly, playful, just a little bit mischevious, and a little bit more than that is he flirty. All of these and more apply to the young fairy's personality, but on their own cannot properly capture the truth. Unlike much of his race, Alphys has a softer disposition, and as a result is not properly suited for frontline combat. He is often made fun of due to his lack of size, lack of defined of muscle, and overall appearance of weakness, and has even been told by other males of his species that he looks like he belongs in a fishery than a battlefield. To this end, he has trained himself not in frontline combat, but the ways of magic to better attack from a distance and render aid to allies... However, he knows his prowess will never come to match that of a Jewel owner.

When it comes to everyday life, Alphys can often be found around bodies of water, blessing and purifying it for the sake of others. He has a proclivity for more domestic roles, such as cooking and cleaning, neither of which really help his image, but he does not hold the disparaging opinions of others in high regard so as to not dissuade him from his enjoyments. He also enjoys to dance very much, though has found himself embarass ed by trying to do this in public, and so it remains a hobby he only entertains in secret.

His magic concentrates on the generation, manipulation and guidance of water for various duties both out of combat and within... More often than not he uses this for non-combat, such as watering plants, washing dishes, cooling others on a hot day, and more. However, due to the lack of possession of a jewel, overuse of these abilities can leave him exhausted, with the more potent abilities causing this much sooner.

Background: Alphys is a young Water Spirit, simply named creatures that fall into the Fairy classification that live beneath lakes and oceans. From birth, he was dealt the short stick, as he inherited more of his mother's genetics than his fathers, and as a result came out looking much softer and weak than the other males of his species. Growing up was a challenge for him, often made fun of or brushed aside by thenither, more mischevious or otherwise stronger Water Spirits. Despite this, he retained a happy disposition and went through life to the best of his ability, eventually growing into a fine, young man.

However, the teasing and bullying never ended, only grew as he wished to do more for his people than he was allowed. Attempts to join his brethren when they went out hunting were swiftly shot down, instead proclaiming he could stay home to prepare the food they would bring back. Fueled by their remarks, he instead trained himself in ways they could not train themselves, and instead turned his focus to magic which, despite it being used more by females (especially Jewelbearers), he managed to take to its use rather well and seemed to earn some measure of respect among his fellow man.

Or so he thinks.

Recently others have come up to him with the revelation that the Jewel of the Flow, otherwise the Aquamarine Gemstone, had been stolen, and that he was tasked to bring it back. Touted as an extremely important task that only someone like him could accomplish due to his magical training, he was asked to locate the Jewel first before he would be allowed to return home... Only then could he finally be seen as one of them. With determination in his eyes, he sets out for his long journey... Unbeknownst that it was all a ruse to get him out of their home once and for all. It would probably be years before he realized the stone was never stolen... If he could even figure that out. So what, then, awaits the young Water Spirit on this adventure? Only time will tell.

Recently he has been sighted near Uruk, under the belief the desert-locked kingdom to be one of the most likely candidates to use the Jewel of the Flow's power to bring greater degrees of water to the region.

Alignment: The Order of Jewels (At present is Independent,  working near Uruk to maintain the surrounding Oasis in the region)

Sexual Preferences: Alphys has few preferences really, and only mild experience, at least enough to know he does not mind things going either way. He is, however, more for the romantic side of things in the grand scheme, and while a one night stand is great, does not have the same sense of fulfillment as a long-lasting relationship. However, he has not gone to search for one due to not being the 'ideal male' of his species (taller, more chiseled, giving rather than taking, and the like). For now, due to his nission, he can only flirt lightly without intending for it to go anywhere (now, if others feel differently, that's another story...)

Likes: Alphys has many likes, almost too many to name here. His greatest likes, however, are cooking, cleanliness, being well-dressed, bathing, dancing, making cute guys and girls blush, exploration of the world beyond his home...

Dislikes: As there are a fair number of likes, he also has some dislikes. Poorly-prepared food, general uncleanliness (not to be confused with dirtiness caused by Sexual activity, that gets a pass), remaining idle for too long, generally unfun people, and especially when people mess with his hair. He prefers his long, luscious locks to stay long and luscious.

ONs and Offs: I'm okay with many things as long as I'm asked in advance.
But as far as offs go, scat, watersports, snuff/gore, vore, stuff like that are very much hard 'No's' for me.

Strengths/Advantages:
- Adept at Spellcasting - While not very physically inclined, his mental acuity is a great deal higher than that of his fellow species. Very proficient at slinging spells from afar or while weaving and dancing amidst foes. These serve as his primary means of offense and Allied support, with a range of damaging and otherwise supportive spells all involving the use of water, natural or invoked.
- Nimble Movements - With a slender body and lithe frame, Alphys trades raw power for graceful dexterity, able to quickly react and dance between hectic and chaotic engagements to reposition himself in more favorable placements.
- Size Adjustment - He may be a Water Spirit, but being considered as part of the classification of Fairies brings with it unique aspects. Among these is the ability to adjust his height... While he'll probably never grow much taller than his present height, he can shrink to become much smaller. This ability allows him to quietly avoid the detection of many larger foes, should he wish to avoid direct combat.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:
Poor Resilience - As one can expect, being that slim and quick comes with drawbacks beyond a lack of raw stopping power. Due to his lithe frame, he cannot take as much damage as a physically-inclined person can, and perhaps even Jewelbearers possess better resilience than him.
Pacifistic - Despite his training to do battle in order to defend himself and others, he cannot quite bring himself to take the lives of others. He has not mentally trained himself for this task yet, and hopes he never needs to as he is unsure whether he can make the right call or not.
Easily Exhausted - Due to his proclivity for using magic, in tandem with his swift attacks and evasive movements, it is quite easy for Alphys to exhaust himself both physically and mentally. He requires a great deal of more training before he can be a long-lasting figure on the battlefield.

Extra Info: Though he can wear a full set of clothes, much of the things he prefers to wear show off more skin than anything else, due to his preference to feel open air and water on his form.

Growing up was a challenge for him, often made fun of or brushed aside by thenither, more mischevious or otherwise stronger Water Spirits. Despite this, he retained a happy disposition and went through life to the best of his ability, eventually growing into a fine, young man.

However, the teasing and bullying never ended, only grew as he wished to do more for his people than he was allowed. Attempts to join his brethren when they went out hunting were swiftly shot down, instead proclaiming he could stay home to prepare the food they would bring back. Fueled by their remarks, he instead trained himself in ways they could not train themselves, and instead turned his focus to magic which, despite it being used more by females (especially Jewelbearers), he managed to take to its use rather well and seemed to earn some measure of respect among his fellow man.

Or so he thinks.

Recently others have come up to him with the revelation that the Jewel of the Flow, otherwise the Aquamarine Gemstone, had been stolen, and that he was tasked to bring it back. Touted as an extremely important task that only someone like him could accomplish due to his magical training, he was asked to locate the Jewel first before he would be allowed to return home... Only then could he finally be seen as one of them. With determination in his eyes, he sets out for his long journey... Unbeknownst that it was all a ruse to get him out of their home once and for all. It would probably be years before he realized the stone was never stolen... If he could even figure that out. So what, then, awaits the young Water Spirit on this adventure? Only time will tell.

Recently he has been sighted near Uruk, under the belief the desert-locked kingdom to be one of the most likely candidates to use the Jewel of the Flow's power to bring greater degrees of water to the region.

Alignment: The Order of Jewels (At present is Independent,  working near Uruk to maintain the surrounding Oasis in the region)

Sexual Preferences: Alphys has few preferences really, and only mild experience, at least enough to know he does not mind things going either way. He is, however, more for the romantic side of things in the grand scheme, and while a one night stand is great, does not have the same sense of fulfillment as a long-lasting relationship. However, he has not gone to search for one due to not being the 'ideal male' of his species (taller, more chiseled, giving rather than taking, and the like). For now, due to his nission, he can only flirt lightly without intending for it to go anywhere (now, if others feel differently, that's another story...)

Likes: Alphys has many likes, almost too many to name here. His greatest likes, however, are cooking, cleanliness, being well-dressed, bathing, dancing, making cute guys and girls blush, exploration of the world beyond his home...

Dislikes: As there are a fair number of likes, he also has some dislikes. Poorly-prepared food, general uncleanliness (not to be confused with dirtiness caused by Sexual activity, that gets a pass), remaining idle for too long, generally unfun people, and especially when people mess with his hair. He prefers his long, luscious locks to stay long and luscious.

ONs and Offs: I'm okay with many things as long as I'm asked in advance.
But as far as offs go, scat, watersports, snuff/gore, vore, stuff like that are very much hard 'No's' for me.

Potential plots involving your character? What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?: TBA

Strengths/Advantages:
- Adept at Spellcasting - While not very physically inclined, his mental acuity is a great deal higher than that of his fellow species. Very proficient at slinging spells from afar or while weaving and dancing amidst foes. These serve as his primary means of offense and Allied support, with a range of damaging and otherwise supportive spells all involving the use of water, natural or invoked.
- Nimble Movements - With a slender body and lithe frame, Alphys trades raw power for graceful dexterity, able to quickly react and dance between hectic and chaotic engagements to reposition himself in more favorable placements.
- Size Adjustment - He may be a Water Spirit, but being considered as part of the classification of Fairies brings with it unique aspects. Among these is the ability to adjust his height... While he'll probably never grow much taller than his present height, he can shrink to become much smaller. This ability allows him to quietly avoid the detection of many larger foes, should he wish to avoid direct combat.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:
Poor Resilience - As one can expect, being that slim and quick comes with drawbacks beyond a lack of raw stopping power. Due to his lithe frame, he cannot take as much damage as a physically-inclined person can, and perhaps even Jewelbearers possess better resilience than him.
Pacifistic - Despite his training to do battle in order to defend himself and others, he cannot quite bring himself to take the lives of others. He has not mentally trained himself for this task yet, and hopes he never needs to as he is unsure whether he can make the right call or not.
Easily Exhausted - Due to his proclivity for using magic, in tandem with his swift attacks and evasive movements, it is quite easy for Alphys to exhaust himself both physically and mentally. He requires a great deal of more training before he can be a long-lasting figure on the battlefield.

Appearance (Anime pictures preferred, or detailed description): Greta is a young woman with freckled, cream colored skin, standing at around 5'4, and weighing about 125 pounds. Her mid length autumn brown hair always seems to be tied in two matching braids, a style she grew up with while living in her village, the color contrasting with her forest green eyes. Greta has shown to have a light hearted and jovial personality, truly shining in her smiles, usually sporting one wherever she goes. Her clothes are free flowing and comfortable, matching her laidback and inviting personality.

Sexual Orientation: Bi-Curious (Leaning towards Males)

Personality (Please be descriptive): Greta is a curious, and adventurous, young woman, one that wants to know of the world around her, and see what life has to give. Taking things in strides, she tries to look for the positives when things don’t seem to work out, but even bad moments and annoyances can still get to her. Despite this, she never wishes to burden others, and because of this, she tries her best to stay positive, at times, putting others’ happiness before her own. Loyal and dedicated, these skills come on and off the battlefield, with Greta actively participating in expeditions with other Gem holders to help their faction grow to help bring peace.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): For as long as Greta remembered, she lived within the village of Montreux, a small village known for their exports of wood and plants herbs for healing medicines. Located far off the outskirts of Lesullam, Greta had grown up with her mother and father, both farmers, living off the land and tending to their crops each harvest season. With each passing day, Greta basked in the happiness that she received from the village she surrounded herself in, always finding something that she could look forward to, such as homemade apple pie from her mother, or getting the time after chores to visit her friend Adam, who lived but a few houses down. Every day was a new chance for more, and Greta soon found herself even more connected with the land, finding a new friend in a Wyspmoorian by the name of Serafina, who she helped save while she was exploring the forests near The Wilds for berries and herbs.

However, Great couldn’t help but be curious about the city life of the Kingdom; what were their lives like, what kind of food did they eat, was it better then home cooked meals? Her mind began to wander every so often as she did her chores, with her dreams even beginning to show what she thought were vivid images of the Castle inside; even she was surprised with her own mind with how detailed and specific some places were. It was but a few years later, that Greta began to take trips every so often to the Kingdom’s inner city for supplies and better in gradients for food, wanting to splurge in things such as spices that were hard to come by, or even things such as small trinkets and jewelry that she could never find back in her hometown. She had always felt something, like her home was her home, yet...not. She felt connected with her family, with those around her, with everyone she met in the village, but the Kingdom always kept calling, like an insistent memory, teasing you for not fully remembering. As Greta grew, her childish worries began to morph into responsibilities, and choices that she wish she didn’t have to make.

Her friendship with Serafina began to break after the two had an argument, the crux of it being one of the most amazing discoveries, in that her friend was now a holder of a Jewel. While it was amazing to have such an honor, in Greta’s eyes, Serafina thought differently, and their friendship was strained from that moment on. Separated after her friend was taken to the kingdom, Greta found herself still stuck where she was, still wondering, still wishing.

Her life up until this point had been nothing but happiness and the same routine, but it changed when she discovered a hidden document, ruffled within a pile of other parchments within her house. With the royal seal of the Caelum family etched into the paper, Greta couldn’t help her curiosity, and read...only to discover a confusing truth; she was...apart of the royal family? There must have been some mistake, she thought to herself, re-reading the same letter, over and over...

But it was there, written in ink.

The talk with her parents, or rather, The Royal Family’s most renowned and trustworthy guards, had no choice but to tell the secret, for the now realized that Greta was now a young woman, and with no threats heard of for years, they found that it was finally time for the youngest of the Caelum sisters to return to her home. To the shock and surprise of the rest of the villagers, they supported and only wished the best for Greta, knowing not of her heritage, but of her caring demeanor and dedication to others.

She’s only been at the Castle for half a year, and her tasks from farm chores have switched to that of helping around the castle library and gardens. Much to the chastising and insistence of the castle servants, Greta finds herself even more mesmerized and curious about her new life; or rather, what her old one used to be...

Sexual Preferences: Greta hasn’t had much experience in the sexual aspects of relationships. Much a young woman with curiosity when it comes to love and finding someone to be with, she’s unsure but hopeful. Despite not having much experiance in romance, both romantically and sexually, her curiosity gets the better of her, and she can’t help but gossip and awe at the audacious revelations that come from adult romance with her other girl friends. If one was to show her a world of allure and lust, well, Greta wouldn’t oppose exploring those options were they to be presented to her...

Likes: Greta enjoys the simple things in life, having lived and grown up within a small rural village. Things such as fresh baked goods and flowers are some of her favorite things, but even the things that people don’t think to adress, such as the smell of fresh rain, the feeling of laying in a field of flowers. Though, Greta can’t help but be curious about what lies beyond her small home, such as the Kingdom of Lesallum, and the Order of the Jewels. Daydreaming of something more then herself is what causes her to space out, but it’s one of her favorite pastimes.

Dislikes: One thing Greta can’t stand is the idea of being kept in the dark. As her parents did to her during her childhood about who they were, and their connection with the royal family, Greta had always know she felt different, and was conflicted when she found out. Not knowing the reasons, being confused, and unknowing of the future, Greta tries her hardest to be open with her friends and those close to her, though there are personal things she keeps to herself, unsure of how to ask for help. Another dislike of hers would have to be individuals that think themselves higher then others. Even though there are those in the world with magic or powers that far surpass normal people (i.e. Gem holders), Greta doesn’t flaunt her power to undermine others; rather, the opposite, to help. Seeing others boast about their wealth or status sours her mood, especially having lived in a farming village for most of her life, knowing the hardships others have been through.

-Blind Trust: I would love to have an individual manipulate or trick Greta to either do things for said individual, or using their relationship for secrets and information regarding the kingdom of Lesallum. Much like a certain animated movie, the plot idea of using someone’s emotions to manipulate and gain an advantage has always been one of my favorites, mostly because you can do so much with it, not just in a romantic setting! (Plus, I just frickin’ love drama!)

-The Ways of Royalty: Being apart of the Royal Family is hard, but even more so, not remembering and suddenly being thrust into it is even harder, especially with all the etiquette and dance lessons you have to go through! I would love to have someone help Greta get used to the lifestyle of the Royal individuals, especially with helping her learn to dance and use the proper etiquette for social settings! Awkward talking and stepping on toes, always a fun time~

-A Fair Maiden’s Heart: A beautiful stranger; tall and fair. That unfamiliar pounding of the heart, that fluttering feeling that doesn’t seem to go away; is this...love? So unprepared and yet so eager to know of romance, Greta is by no means knowledgeable in that aspect, but I would love to see what would happen if she found herself at the attention of a handsome suitor! This plot idea could tie into the Blind Trust idea, where it could lead to darker and evil ire intentions, but it’s all up to whoever decides it’s a try!

Strengths/Advantages (Please have at least three): One of Gretas strengths would have to be the power she has from her Emerald jewel, one that allows her to “hear the voices of the forests”. Not an outspoken language like humans, but more so by feelings and emotions that plants have, Greta is able to feel those very emotions that the forests and trees give out, keeping her connected with nature and benefit from their partnership.

The second would be her infectious personality, one that seems to be inviting and warm to all that she meets; Greta has always loved meeting new people, and she’s had a knack for reading people and striking conversation.

Finally, her third strength would have to be how she’s been able to see both sides of life in Lesallum; both village, and royal. Knowing the ups and downs, how people act, think, how life affects them and the hardships they go through, Greta is able to give insight and input into how both can harmonize, and work together.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages (Please have at least three): One of Greta’s weaknesses would have to be that her personality brings those that would like to use her naivety and curiosity for their own advantages. She’s by no means stupid, however, her wonder in the world, and the people that come and go, fascinate and interest her. She can’t help but ask them questions and get to know them better, and at times, it can be one of Greta’s downfalls by being used for more then pleasant ideals.

Another weakness would have to be her tether between both sides of life; royal, and village folk. Wanting to work together to help one another, at times she feels that she’s walking on a thin line, unable to chose where exactly she belongs, and where she doesn’t. She misses her simple life, yet craves to know more about her previous one, and at times, she doesn’t know where she truly belongs.

Finally, Greta is prone to being a rather emotional woman, one that tends to wear her heart in her sleeve, and wishes for a world that could work together to rid the world of evil, rather then fight and argue with one another. Things she disagrees with, times where things are kept from her, instances like this are what cause her to speak her mind, and unfortunately, her emotions can be used and manipulated by others for their own purposes, wether for political gain, corruption against the royal family of Lesallum, or even to take down Greta herself by means of mental manipulation and blind trust.

Appearance: Serafina is neither slim nor voluptuous, hovering right in the middle. She stands at 5’7” and weighs 127 lbs. She possesses deep hazel eyes and a pale complexion with just a touch of color when she becomes angry or agitated. Her limbs are slender and delicate. Her most noticeable feature is her hair – it is streaked practically to white and flows down to her shoulders.

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual

Personality: Like most residents of Wyspmoor, Serafina is quiet and solitary. She maintains an outward demeanor of amused defiance and heavy if almost playful snark, like how a cat plays with a canary, but underneath, one can find the results of years of mental scars and self-doubt. In the end, she is much like the stone that chose her, difficult to find, hard to pin down, and clouded by something within.

Weapon/Magic: She wields a knife. Her magic, however, emanates straight from her body and the jewel she keeps on her at all times.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): From birth to this day, Serafina has been a resident of Wyspmoor, a small secluded region bordering the Wilds surrounded by mists with a village and the castle. Most residents are members of an extended family, with the senior branch installed in the Castle born to rule, and the junior branch, Serafina included, living in the Village where they are expected to serve. There is a sense of noblesse oblige with regards to how the castle folk treat the Villagers, but life in the Village is still hard, and many struggle just to survive.

Serafina was no different. It was expected for her to enter service in the Castle, to the point that it was considered a privilege that she be allowed to do so; and that is what she did, working as a scullery maid largely invisible to everyone. She accepted her fate as all did, and no one thought any better of it. This is how life is near the Wilds, and one learns to accept one’s place. When she almost lost her life in service to the Mistress of the House and Bearer of the Stone, no one thought twice about it. Except the one visiting lass from another village who saved her. From that day forward, Serafina and Greta have been fast friends, despite their differences of opinion. The people of Wyspmoor, however, generally roll their eyes and make comments about That Foreign Girl when they speak of the incident, or Greta in general.

The last Mistress of the Stone passed but six months ago, and after the usual three week mourning period, the Great Hunt commenced as those who aspired to become the next Mistress, consisting exclusively of Palace scions, set out to find and capture the Stone and claim the mantle and the powers that came with it. The last ten were residents of the Castle, scions of the House of Mehste, and no one gave any consideration to the possibility that things may go differently this time around. The good money was on Driana, the first daughter, but the other four had their proponents as well, along with a few people considering contenders on junior noble branches.

But they forgot the most important rule. You does not find the Stone. The Stone finds you. And the stone found Serafina.

From that day, her life has changed irreparably. Those that looked down upon her now call her Mistress – at least to her face. Behind her back, they do not forget, and they do not forgive. And Serafina is all too aware of this.
In addition to all the other pressures that came from her unexpected ascension, the disappearances into the Wilds have increased in magnitude. While the residents of Wyspmoor have traditionally been more resistant to the pull than outsiders, it has taken its toll, and Serafina has shouldered the blame. In response, Serafina has asked for aid from an unlikely source – that of the residents of Lesallum. She does not trust the outsiders with the lone exception of Greta, but she has little choice.

Alignment: Serafina is a freelancer. She can usually be persuaded to do the right thing, but she isn’t comfortable working with The Order, and doesn’t give a whole lot of reason for them to be comfortable with her.

Sexual Preferences: In Wyspmoor, no one ever sleeps alone. While this has some explanation in that people living the harsh lives in the mists take their pleasures where they can, much of it is simply self-preservation. When two people share a bed for the night, they are far less likely to be missing come morning.

Likes: Serafina likes quiet areas, misty environments, and secluded corners.

Dislikes: She dislikes bright lights, loud sounds, and boastful individuals

ONs and Offs: When it comes to sex, Serafina is simply looking to be with someone – to exist in the moment. She will come off as darkly playful, but in many ways, this is just a ruse. What she really craves is the comfort that comes from another’s presence. She is going to be turned off by someone who is too cheerful and excited about it, and the usual offs about fluids and the like apply.

Potential plots involving your character? What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?: I see Serafina as being difficult to deal with, so many of her plotlines will probably involve working towards a modus vivendi with the other characters. I also see Wyspmoor as a major setting, populated largely with people cursed with Sera’s attitude problems, only moreso.

Strengths/Advantages:
Serafina’s first advantage is that she is hardly noticeable. This comes in very handy when one is trying to find things out, or engage in covert behavior.

The second is that she has a deeper understanding of the Wilds than most people – although this is a double-edged sword, it does make her useful in the coming conflict.

Thirdly, her hardscrabble life has given her strong survival instincts and a natural resourcefulness in being able to scrounge what is needed.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:
Living near the Wilds taints one seriously. There will always be a certain draw of the Wilds on her soul, and though she has experience and skills in resisting it, she does run the risk of being overwhelmed.

Secondly, her origin renders her suspect in places like Lusuallum – and her demeanor does not help her win any friends.

Finally, she has trust issues which makes it difficult for her to help enact plans or generally cooperate with people.

Race: Half-Elf

Appearance:  Sirion is a handsome, very youthful looking man. His dark grey skin-tone gives away his heritage as a halfblood with dark elf parentage, which is reinforced by his long silver-white hair and shining purple eyes. He sometimes disguises his heritage with a bird-like mask, though this rarely works out for anything but looking dramatic and almost stylish. On the job and adventures, he wears typical light armor, usually leather reinforced with metal in dark colors.

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual, with a preference towards women

Personality: Sirion is a suave, rugged young man with a bad boy streak. Or at least, that's how he sells himself. He's actually just a really fun-loving guy with way too much time spent thinking about his image, thinking that as a mercenary and duelist, he's expected to be someone with a rougher exterior. Once past that exterior, Sirion is actually a very affectionate and friendly man, always ready to get into mischief and disrupt the order of just about everything. He's also very kind - even when keeping up his image, he stands up for the defenseless and innocent, even facing down better armed and armored opponents for what he considers just and right.

His dislike for organization means he tends to stay away from becoming the member of any group or larger gathering for long, feeling that it ties him down too much. He is very focused on freedom - both his own, and that of others around him. He has no trouble telling a noble just where to stick their attitude towards their own servants, right before stealing that noble's coin purse and fleeing into the night. He has no patience for people being torn between duty, and what they want to do - he'll always encourage for them to follow their own hearts, even going so far as to accept when this makes someone his enemy. So long as someone is true to themselves, Sirion will support that decision - even if he then has to fight the person he just helped to maintain his own morals.

Weapon/Magic: Sirion is an expert duelist and swordsman, using a dual-wielding style he developed himself. He uses shorter blades usually, but can wield longer one-handed swords as well. His talent for magic is nearly non-existent, barely capable of using even the simplest of scrolls without the attempt blowing up in his face. Often, literally.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): Sirion is the descendant of a former jewel holder - his grandmother on his father's side having been a chosen one. Her old drive for both adventure and justice transcended her death, and Sirion's father became a mercenary himself - something of a local hero, his rugged and charismatic ways eventually lead to him leading his own band of mercenary adventurers, taking care of smaller troubles of villages and the usual guard jobs expected of their profession.

How exactly he managed to catch the eye of a dark elf warrior isn't known, but the result of that was Sirion - a halfblood inheriting the clear marks of his ancestry. Whatever his father and mother had, didn't last - she was gone before he could even form clear memories of her. Raised by his mercenary father alone, an injury eventually caused him to retire from that life, and instead to buy and operate a small caravan business himself. Still, he recognized the adventurer's spirit in his son, and thus, taught him the ways of the sword - and of "panache", as he called it. To keep up one's tough image, to project strength, as a mercenary's name needed to be worth its weight in gold.

Alignment: Independent - member of the Mercenary's Guild of Lesullum

Sexual Preferences: Sirion is a man of contrasts. He has two sides to him: on the one hand, he is often someone who prefers being gentle, romantic, and passionate. However, perhaps thanks to his dark-elf heritage, he's also got a thing for more dominant or commandeering women who know exactly what they want. He doesn't have a lot of experience either way, though you won't catch him admitting that easily.

Likes: Sirion can charitably be described as an adrenaline junkie. He loves to travel, is always up for a fight or ten, and constantly willing to party as well. Despite being a lightweight, he has a certain love for hard drinks as well.

Dislikes: Sirion doesn't dislike many things, but he despises boredom itself. He needs for his life to move forward and change, constantly, as complacency and monotony are things he fears more than the most ferocious of magical beasts.

ONs and Offs: The usual - no pain, no watersports/scat. Yes to more dominant partners for Sirion usually, though really, anything works in that regard.

Potential plots involving your character? What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?: I think it'd be really fun if Sirion ended up with a bodyguarding job or something similar towards someone far more powerful than himself (not necessarily a Jewel holder but certainly a possibility), confronting him with having to hold on to his goals and desires despite being overshadowed. Would give him a good chance to grow as both a character and a fighter, if need be. Alternatively, getting a job to assassinate someone stronger than himself, leading to the same realizations. Romance with either target-types highly encouraged for that, cause it ads so much delicious drama potential!

Strengths/Advantages (Please have at least three): Courage. Sirion isn't fearless, for only a fool is fearless - he has the courage to fight on despite his fear. Even when faced with horrifying monsters, he'll calmly draw his blade and stand against it.

Dueling Champion. Sirion, in single close-range combat, is a dervish of ceaseless offense and flawless defense. He can beat a trained opponent with nothing but a pair of sticks if he has to.

Magnetic Kindness. Sirion shows a constant image to the world, but through it pretty much everyone can see and feel how much he really does care. He's not someone with a pure heart or soul, but his kindness is the real deal, and it has a tendency to draw people to him.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages (Please have at least three): Useless with magic. Truly, utterly helpless with it - every incantation, scroll, enchanted item, inscription, etc that he tries to use will, inevitably, fail. Even when it looks like it has worked, it'll backfire the second after, often with disastrous (and potentially hilarious) results. Every piece of magic around him might as well be a cursed item. This does absolutely nothing to protect him from the negative effects of magic used ON him, mind.

Inept at ranged combat. Sirion can barely aim a bow or crossbow, and has a better chance of dropping a knife into his own foot than he has of hitting someone across the room when throwing it.

Singular focus on maintaining his "rugged, cool guy" image means that Sirion is actually supremely inept in any social interaction where he can't do that. He becomes a blubbering mess, especially around those with more domineering personalities, if they deflect his bravado.

Appearance (Anime pictures preferred, or detailed description): With flowing, violet purple locks, and a full, voluptuous hourglass figure, Charlotte is a woman that is quite hard to miss, with eyes usually locked onto her the moment she enters a room. Standing at 5’6 without heels, 5’8 with, Charlotte is a beautiful, and rather imposing figure when you first meet her. With perfect posture, an air of confidence, and a body that could nearly have been blessed by the gods themselves, Charlotte knows how beautiful she is, and doesn’t shy away when others give her their undivided attention.

Personality (Please be descriptive): Charlotte is a woman that loves to be at the attention of others, but rather then crave it and wish for it to only be on her, she simply loves to have fun, and the life of the party, even if those around her are too shy to go along with her. Inviting to talk with others, being friendly to those that are in the corner by themselves, she does her best to chat and converse with those that may be lonesome, and always has a quip or some line to say after something juicy or exciting happens. Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): Charlotte had been amongst the rabble of travelers as a young girl, going from place to place, seeing the sights and trying to find her place in the world. With healing magic, she came close to finding those that would give her a permanent home, but when it came to choose, Charlotte could not, and would leave the next night with inly a few medicines left behind. After a close encounter with a monster near Lesallum, she helped the sick and injured, and was given a spot to join the Order of the Jewels, at the request of Queen Freyja herself.

Not much is known about Charlotte’s full past, but she never wishes to speak of it, saying that it is too painful to recount such a thing...

Appearance (Anime pictures preferred, or detailed description): Blackfire is a half-elf staying at 6’3, with one of his most notable features being his purple skin; a skin color that is rare, or rather, near impossible to be born with. Quite toned, with an athletic build, Blackfire has a rather composed attitude, with a body language that shows an air superiority. Perfect posture, and haunting golden eyes that never seem to leave their intended target, you would believe that he either came from some place of nobility. Long, flowing white hair frames his handsome features, making him appear to be friendly and inviting, with a gaze that charms and entrances those watching him. However, there seems to be a hint of darkness beneath his stare, and those unable to see it early enough may very well meet their end sooner, rather then later. Sharp, pointed canine-like fangs are noticeable in his smirks, and bring unease to those that get too close to him.

Personality (Please be descriptive): Blackfire is an individual that will follow your every move, a invite you with open arms; just don’t think he trusts you from the very moment you set foot in his abode however. Calculating, sharp, witty, and an eye for planning, Blackfire is one that knows how to talk his way through about anything, and have the tact and grace to entrance those around to believe anything he wishes. With a alluring charm that entraps and seduces, and a mind that is sharp and tactical, Blackfire is a dangerous opponent, in both mind and matter. His skill at deceiving with well placed lies and trust has gotten him far over the years, however don’t get too attached to him, as his temper can flare when one simply looks at him the wrong way. He expects those beneath him to follow his every word, and he doesn’t take kindly to those that oppose him; don’t expect leniency when it comes to his wrath, as those that beg only fuel his sadistic personality.

Weapon/Magic (What weapon do you wield? Can you cast magic?): Blackfire is known for wielding a sharp, shining long sword, the hilt of the blade carved from a black metal, creating an intricate curved design. The half-elf male is also versed in some ways of magic, mostly in ways of ice to entrap and block his opponents from escaping.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): Callum was once a halfling, just like many that had come before him, living in the outskirts miles away from the nearest kingdom. Off in the outskirts, life was hard, where hunting and foraging for food and supplies was much more difficult, noting that others would either trick you, or murder you for your supplies. He grew up with almost nothing, but as he worked and slaved to keep himself alive, he found a group of others similar to him, and found a home in a small village known as Ostgard. Working as a hunter to gather supplies and carcasses for food and goods, he found himself a friend in the form of another half-elf surprisingly, by the name of Sirion. Somewhat dark skinned like he was, and with similar feelings of wanting to find their place in the world, the two became friends, traveling when they could, and hoping to find a calling.

However, it all changed when one night, late in hour, Callum caught glimpse of a shining object, falling from the sky. With an aura that flowed an eerie purple, and hellish black flames that surrounded the falling object, Callum couldn’t help but leave his bed, quickly alerting Sirion of what he had seen. The two ventured off, and together, they came across a meteor, smoking within the crater it created. It’s dark glow illuminated the forests and trees nearby, yet Callum was wholly entranced by what he had found, never in his life finding such an object as wondrous as this.

It cracked, and in moments, the rock broke revealing it to be a shell, for what it held inside; a dark, shining jewel, colored ebony like nightfall. It pulsed to life, feeling a presence, and before the two half elves could even blink, the black crackles of energy broke from the gem, streaking within the air, before both were consumed. Like flames burning within his body, Callum felt himself change, physically, mentally; his fears, his anger, his doubts, they all began to bubble to the surface, began to consume him. His muscles pulsed, and soon found himself being dragged in by the jewels hold, its tether in Sirion having been broken after the other male elf fell unconscious. It had all happened so fast, and to Callum, he found himself unable to break free.

A flash, and then nothing.

The jewel had vanished, as did Callum, who left no trace behind of his whereabouts, or what happened to him.

Now, however, lurking in the shadows, was a being that held a magic indescribable. Powerful dark magic, that stemmed from corruption, hatred, and greed, a new being was born that night.

Callum was no longer alive, and in his ashes rose a figure born anew; Blackfire.

Those who who deal in the darkest of trades, the shadiest of business only know of the group of individuals known as
Those the Lurk Shadows, a band of spies and warriors that have been held to possess otherworldly abilities, even rivaling that of the worlds known relics and magicks of old. Their leader, a mystery to the ages, has plans for those that he finds that have outstayed their welcome, and kept what rightfully belongs to him; the Order of the Jewels within Lesallum.

Sexual Preferences: Blackfire likes to be the dominant, the one in control, and those that try to defy him will only know a much rougher time then they originally intended. Those that beg usually bring something within him, yet he finds it all the more sweeter to find those that he can break down to nothing, ones that have that spark that they believe will never die. He doesn’t shy away from one nights stands and quick services from those that throw themselves at him, merely finding it a way to sexually gratify himself. His mind is warped and twisted, and he can’t help if he happens to get too rough with someone he’s bedding, and those he tortures know just how rough he can be. While sex isn’t at the forefront of his mind, he can’t help but use it as ways of a means to information, if he has to.

Likes: Power, domination over those below him, getting the upper hand in his enemy

Dislikes: Self righteous heroes, the Order of the Jewels, those that support Lesallum and their wishes

-A Dedicated Follower: Blackfire needs a band of people that know what he wants, and are willing to be as dark as he is in what they need to accomplish. Either someone that can be his right hand, or another that would be willing to be taken to the darker side by means of manipulation, or simple persuasion, would be interesting to see!

Strengths/Advantages (Please have at least three):

-Blackfire’s magnetic charm and allure makes him a dangerous adversary, both in and off the battle field. Those that walk in his path should be wary of him, because he has a way with words, and those that hear of him are more then willing to agree with him, with enough charm and persuasion of course.

-His proficiency with dark magic has become a new favorite of his, and the Obsidan Jewel has granted him more strength and endurance than that of an average male human.

-Blackfire’s knowledge of the forests make its easier him to know his territory, and where guards and bandits lurk. He’s a master of escape, and those that even hear of him, cannot find a way to capture him so simply.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages (Please have at least three):

-Blackfire’s anger is something to be seen, as those who have born witness cower at the sight. However, it is a double edged sword, as Blackfires fury makes him sloppy, and when he’s angry, be aware that he will hunt you down until he squeezes out your last breath, as painfully, and slowly as possible.

-His appearance has caused some stares in the past when he first came to the world anew, and he finds himself at the midst of a battle brewing with his group, and that of Lesallum. Forced to hide in the shadows for the time being, Blackfire is unable to show himself to the world as of yet, wanting to savor the moment until he reveals himself, especially when the time is right.

-The Obsidian gives him immense power, but at the cost of his sanity. Blackfire is prone to outbursts and fits of rage on some occasions, and at times, he can be unpredictable. Bringing him to near madness in some cases, Blackfire is having trouble keeping himself under control, yet the jewel within him only spurs him on towards his maddening victory, even at the cost of his life.

Name: Huld Eos Kyra

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Appearance: A young woman barely breaking five feet in height, Huld is a rather slender young woman, lacking much more than subtle curves to her form. Her face, though, is definitely a pretty one, marginally less pale than the snow of her homeland with rich dark blue eyes, framed by the dark locks that spill out from beneath the large white hat that she always seems to wear. Similarly, it is extremely hard to find her without a pair of white gloves on her hand, the rest of her wardrobe often matching this colour although she does, at least, vary her way into deep blues and blacks at times.

Sexual Orientation: Lesbian

Personality: Huld is a quiet young woman, the exact nature of her silence depending heavily on the nature of those around her. She knows very well that she both lacks much interest in men at all, and that she is rather poor at hiding this, so she stays quiet around them to avoid saying something she knows she should not. Around women the exact opposite is the problem, combined with a nervous shyness. Her habit of daydreaming doesn't especially help, although if matters of history, music or gunsmithing come up then she suddenly comes alive with eagerness and a drive to fully explore the topic, often to far greater depths than those around her might have wanted.

Weapon/Magic: At least one flintlock pistol is on her person somewhere, as is befitting the daughter of the first noble family to embrace the new weapons. A studious and intelligent young woman with her own interest in such things, she tends to make modifications to her weapons as she goes, and has practiced quite extensively with their use.

Background: The eldest daughter of the Kyros family, Huld was born into the higher end of Lesallum's social order, as well as in it's most northern holdings. The family home is rather isolated in the snowy outskirts of the nation and she grew up without much outside contact at all, amusing herself by supplementing the already extensive education that she was provided with further studies in, essentially, whatever she could find books on in the library, her expertise ranging through several languages and into some obscure subjects such as the care and handling of rabbits, including the relative advantages and disadvantages of coneygarths versus rabbit courts, the Lesallum tax reforms of around a century ago and, of course, the rather extensive documentation on the development, maintenance and use of firearms, kept there due to the heavy support of her family in the development of such weapons.
Other than that, her days were spent singing to herself and watching the birds outside.
At least until she grew old enough for her family to start considering marriage.
That did not go well for anyone involved, as she discovered that her best response to the young men was utter indifference, and often worse.
Before things could continue too long, however, Huld was Chosen, waking up with the symbol of an eye on her hand and far more information on the nature of her conception when she wanted, although she was slightly impressed, despite herself, by her mother's use of the library shelves.
Leaving her sister to continue the family, she promptly made sure that the Order was made aware of her nature and tried not to think too hard about the idea of serving strong, mature female knights in ways that she knew wouldn't happen in reality, even though they were quite nice to think about.

Alignment: The Order of Jewels

Sexual Preferences: Huld has no experience whatsoever, her main interactions having been either with men, who she lacks interest in, or women working for her family, who it would be improper to approach for such things. While 'woman' is generally good enough to attract her interest, she does feel a stronger pull to women who are older, more experienced, more powerful or more confident than she is and very much pictures herself as the one being swept off of her feet than the one doing the sweeping.

Likes: Huld greatly enjoys peace and quiet, cold weather, reading, the company of other women and birds and, although she is somewhat shy about it, singing, maintaining and practicing with her guns and writing enjoyable but highly inappropriate stories about female nobles and/or knights and innocent servant girls.

Dislikes: Huld does not appreciate the attention of men, strong smells, loud people and crowds, spicy food, cats, insects of basically any kind, hot weather

ONs and Offs: I'm okay with many things as long as I'm asked in advance. But, for Huld, submission, lesbianism, elaborate costumes, bondage and such are very much welcome. Dub con and non-con (the latter including male partners, but only in that case)
But as far as offs go, scat, snuff/gore, vore, stuff like that are very much hard 'No's' for me.

Strengths/Advantages:
- Well Educated - Huld's family is, of course, not on the same level as the Caelum, but they are still fairly high in the hierarchy of Lesallum and were very capable of providing their eldest daughter with an extensive education, Huld especially excelling in matters historical and linguistic.
- Stubborn - As much of a hindrance as a help, Huld is extremely hard to talk into doing something that she does not wish to do. Add in a firm moral center and it would be exceedingly difficult to talk, bribe or threaten her into doing anything at all wrong. Her stubbornness persists to the level that, while it won't stop magic from affecting her mind, it will make it a bit harder to influence her, even in such a way.
- Attentive - One thing that Huld learned in her studies is the importance of small details and paying attention to such things. Small oddities in her surroundings and the behaviour of those around her tend to be noticed easily and remembered in case of future relevance.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:
Naive - Educated, Intelligent and attentive, Huld is still lacking in knowledge of how to deal with people that she isn't either related to or employing and it shows. Not having had much exposure to people who would lie to her she isn't too great at picking up on dishonesty without something to confirm untruths and tends towards just believing what she is told.
Stubborn - As much of a hindrance as a help, Huld is extremely hard to talk out of doing something once she has decided that it is the right thing to do. At best she might listen to someone who can pull rank on her, most likely in the Order of the Jewel, but typically once she decides on a course she follows it to the end, for good or ill. If someone manages to talk her into something, good luck having someone else talk her out of it.
Easily Distracted - Between her keen interest in women and her habit of paying close attention to everything around her, Huld can be distracted by attractive women fairly easily. Birds, music and guns have a similar effect on her, as well.

Here's Tez! Greetings from scenic Uruk!



Name: 'Tez' Tez'taka of Outer Uruk

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Race (Human, Halfling, Orc, Fairy, etc.): Goblin

Appearance (Anime pictures preferred, or detailed description): Tez stands tall for a goblin at a towering 3'5” built of sinewy well defined pale green skinned muscle. Like most goblins, Tez has sharply defined cheek bones over somewhat rosy and freckled cheeks beneath a prominent brow. Below her cheeks is a wide set mouth with two rows of large and sharp teeth that her thin lips often have difficulty completely concealing, much to the discomfort of those around her, at both corners of her mouth protrude a short tusk ornamented with iron rings. Even among goblins Tez's ears are particularly large, each roughly the length of her face and proudly adorned in a series of iron rings and studs. Her ears are framed by, often unkempt, green ombre hair that falls just past her shoulders where it appears to meet a rough knife shorn end. All of this frames around a pair of enormous gleaming citrus eyes that often display a rather contagious eager energy and ceaseless curiosity.

Typically Tez wears an ensemble of darkly colored rags, shawls, and cloaks, to better facilitate her night time strolls. The most outstanding features of her outfit are a pair of leather and glass goggles that she often either wears around her forehead or dangling from her neck, along with large leather flaps that extend from the bottom of her wrists to the top of her hips. Tez's body and face are also often covered with somewhat haphazardly applied bandages, sometimes this is done as a mild attempt at concealing her identity, but more often than not its a novice's attempt at treating the various bumps and scratches accrued from falling off of buildings.

Personality (Please be descriptive): Tez is an unrelenting whirlwind of ill thought out action whose desires largely revolve around satisfying her own personal curiosity, and helping those who seem to need it. While there can be no denying her irresponsible and devil may care attitude during calmer times of plenty, there are few quicker to react or more willing to risk their life for the sake of others than Uruk's infamous rooftop thief, the fearless Tez'taka. Unfortunately, growing up Uruk's goblin shanty, located deep within the shadow of Uruk's mighty eastern wall, has given Tez a deep distrust of any form of nobility or those born into wealth.   

Weapon/Magic (What weapon do you wield? Can you cast magic?): Tez relies on a combination of her citrine's control over the wind, a hand crossbow, and a pair of bolas. More often than not she uses these weapons as a way of escaping pursuers without causing to much harm, whether it be through the use of a grappling hook bolt to pull herself to safety, or using the bolas to tie up a sentry long enough to escape a dangerous situation.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): Tez's tribe were once a nomadic people, moving from settlement to settlement, trading crafted goods and animal pelts to provide for themselves until an opportunity for permanent residence presented itself in the Uruk coup. At the time, many in Uruk were afraid to fight against the considerable forces of those seeking to overthrow the royal family, as it was not uncommon for those loyal to the crown to be found dead during the night. Coincidentally, during the royal family's most dire hour, Tez's people were passing through the region, and the royalty were quick to offer them a trade, the goblins' loyalty and alliance in exchange for a small section of the kingdom to call their own.

With the coup defeated at the cost of many loyalist and goblin lives, the newly crowned King Set honored his family's agreement with Tez's tribe. At the furthest reaches of Uruk, pressed up against the nation's immense Eastern border wall, the goblins were allowed to cultivate a new home, eager to trade with their new countrymen for the supplies they would need to make a community of their own.

However, there was a great deal of spite held for the goblin's among many who resided in Uruk. The thought that a horde of filthy goblins could possibly seize a portion of their nation would have been impossible without resorting to some sort of despicable deception. There was no way the royal family would stoop so low as to consort with the foul creatures, even if officials claimed, often in irritated tones, that such a deal was exactly what happened. As a result of this prejudice for the newly settled goblins, there were few who would have any sort of dealings with the goblin commune, and the lack of trade and fresh resources slowly morphed the hopeful goblin society into a withdrawn and bitter shanty, its people scraping to get by.

This was the life Tez was born into, and it was one that she vowed early in her life to change, not just for her, but for all of her kind huddled in the far reaches of Uruk. To this end, she reasoned that if the rest of Uruk would not give her people what they needed, that she would either take it without permission or offer such wealth that only a fool would refuse her. With this idea, Tez used her considerable dexterity and natural aptitude for acrobatics to rob those that had so cruelly shunned her people.

Alignment (Do you work alongside Lesullum’s Order of Jewels? An Independent group?): Currently an independent citizen of Uruk, but growing up with stories of the Order of Jewels has made her enamored with the organization.

Sexual Preferences: Tez grew up with a rather casual view of sex, viewing the act itself as a pleasant activity more akin to eating a potentially pleasant meal rather than any sort of special occasion. This being said, she often fantasizes about being romanced by the sort of charismatic heroes that make up the casts of her favorite stories. While an absolute novice to the dance, she'd be more than eager in attempting and failing at the sort of coy back and forth that always seems to accompany romantic endeavors.

Likes: While Tez was brought up in a state of near constant poverty, she was able to, albeit briefly, raise herself from the drudgery of her life through three avenues: sneaking into the parts of Uruk typically reserved for the nobility, sharing pilfered sweets with her myriad siblings, and hearing stories about the fantastical adventures of those heroes that made up the Order of Jewels. As a child she would often frame her expeditions past the locked doors of Uruk's highest towers as a quest akin to those undergone by the members of Order to retrieve what her people needed to survive from the tyrants that needlessly hoarded them. More often than not, the young goblin would pretend to be Aranea herself, claiming that whatever mundane shiny rock she picked up out of the dirty street granted her some form of magical powers.

Dislikes: More than anything, Tez finds herself angered by those who believe themselves better than others for something as irrelevant as birthright, especially when those making the claims utterly drain the hope for a better life out of those with no further left to fall. The way she sees it, such arrogance is largely responsible for her tribe's ill treatment, and she has little restraint when it comes to expressing her opinions to those that would dismiss her people out of hand.

ONs and Offs: Tez is open to a large variety of experiences, with the exception of anything involving restraints, domineering, or bathroom play.

Potential plots involving your character? What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?: I would love to see Tez become involved with and eventually a member of the Order of Jewels. While she wouldn't leave her people in their current state, new trade between Uruk and Lesallum might lead to a new source of stability for Uruk's goblins.

Strengths/Advantages (Please have at least three): A lifetime of sneaking into and over the ancient architecture of Uruk has built up a talent for sneaking and acrobatics within Tez. She's also become fairly talented in using the powers of her gem to redirect her projectiles in mid-flight, along with making her otherwise useless wingsuit grant her the ability to quickly and nimbly glide from perch to perch.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages (Please have at least three): Tez's largest weaknesses are her size, her lack of a formal education, and her fiery temper. While large for a goblin, Tez is still smaller than most, and physically weaker than the larger races of her world. She doesn't like to discuss it and her sensitivity to the subject will often make her unnecessarily combative, but Tez's education growing up largely only covered what her people considered practical knowledge, not unnecessary information such as proper linguistic skills, higher mathematics, and reading. This combativeness is not just limited to her feelings regarding her upbringing however, as any form of sincerely  arrogance is usually enough to respond a seemingly disproportionate response from the fiery goblin.

How did you acquire your jewel? (Was it passed down from the previous owner? Were you suddenly chosen?): One of Tez's first heists was of a exceedingly small chest of uncut semi-precious gemstones. Ugliest among these was the worn citrine, its luster largely faded, and its wear far exceeding that of its neighbors. Regardless of its somber appearance, Tez felt herself strangely attracted to the stone, and as she laid her fingers on it, the hot desert wind roared to life around her. When the mighty gust finally settled, she could see the mark of the citrine drawn into her palm, and the wind itself sharply reacting to her desire.

Semblance (Your unique power that comes from the jewel. What power does it grant you?): Tez can control the wind in short but powerful bursts. Whether or not the jewel has powers beyond what she can accomplish, she does not know, but currently she is able to use it to redirect her projectiles, and provide sustained gliding with the use of her goblin wingsuit. She can also use it to put pressure against most things in an outdoor environment, although the fickle nature of wind often makes such force unsustainable.

Appearance (Anime pictures preferred, or detailed description): Iona is a larger specimen of fairy from the Wilds, and normally stands between 12 and 14” tall, but can change (as only a few fairy species can) to short-human height when needed; she is between 5’ and 5’3” when she changes. Iona has long green hair and eyes the color of ripe cherries. Her skin is pale, due to the heavy shadows in the Wilds, and her wings are similar to dragonfly wings – colorless gossamer with delicate veining through. She normally wears a short black-and-white dress and tall boots, and carries a harp.

Personality (Please be descriptive): Iona presents herself as overwhelmingly positive. She is a booster, and thinks the best of everyone, and wants to give people a chance. She is categorically certain that they will disappoint her in the end. She feels pretty sure that nothing people can do can really surprise her anymore. Deep down, she dislikes letting people get close to her, and has a wicked, vicious side to her - a little bit of the dark side of the fairies. Her music is her passion, and she practices frequently.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): Iona spent most of her life working and playing with the rest of her clan of fairies. They were known for their musical skill and their general fondness for pranks and mischief – some of the less scrupulous members of the clan would trick people into following their songs and lead them into danger to take their valuables. Iona spent some time on the ‘forest protection squad’, which was in charge of misleading and stopping people who entered the Wilds to cause damage or with other ill-intent. She was usually responsible for following them and determining what they were planning, but she had a talent for lullabies as well, putting more than a few loggers to sleep so her family and friends could neutralize the problem.

One day, an old woman with green hair entered their part of the forest. Most older people were little danger to the Wilds, but Iona followed her anyway. The woman, after several hours of being followed, stopped and rested against a tree, taking out three things: A large wedge of cheese, a knife, and an opaque green stone. She called out to Iona, who cautiously flew down and spoke with her. The woman revealed that she was a Jewel Holder, and that the stone she carried was a Jewel. She shared her food with the fairy, and told her that her life was at an end, and that the Jewel wanted to pass from her hands. She was choosing Iona to bear it next.

Even a fairy clan in the middle of the woods knew of the Order of Jewels, and Iona, who was getting bored with her normal life, thought only a moment before agreeing. The woman picked up the Jewel in one hand, telling Iona to take it, and the fairy did so, wrapping both arms around the stone and holding it to her.

She could feel the power, which flowed through her, turning her pale blonde hair the green of the stone. Iona fluttered her wings, flying up in excitement. When she came back down, she noticed the old woman had aged, her hair going white and deep wrinkles appearing on her face in just the few seconds the fairy had held the stone. The woman picked up the knife and placed it to her wrist, but Iona stopped her. There were things in the Wilds which would be drawn by the blood, and it would hurt her heart to know one of her sisters had died like that.

Instead, she tucked the Jewel into her belt and pulled out her harp. The song she played was better, more lovely, than any she’d ever played, and lulled the old woman to sleep, and then into the next world. Iona made her tearful way back to her clan and explained what had happened. She packed her things, over their protests, and headed out to join the Order of Jewels. It was her duty, she told them, and she refused to shirk it.

Sexual Preferences: Flexible. Iona is willing to try anything twice, and she enjoys making other people happy. If that means she’s dominating, she’s down for it. If it means pretending to be an innocent fairy trapped in a villain’s web, she’s down for that too.

Likes: Sweets, flying, music, people who are nice, foggy days, and full moons.

Dislikes: Cats, rain, people who deliberately hurt other beings, liars, and cold iron.

Potential plots involving your character? What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?: She’s small, so she’s suited for intrigue and sneaking. More of a support character (see her Jewel power), so she’s happy to tag along on anything with others.

Strengths/Advantages:
Perfect Pitch: Not only does this enhance her playing, Iona has a talent for recognizing people by the sound of their footsteps, and has a great sense of hearing overall.

Small: Iona is (or can be) very small, making her hard to spot. She is also adept at sneaking into places unseen, or into places where others might not be able to get into.

Flight: Iona’s wings scale with her when she shrinks or grows, enabling her to fly, giving her tactical usefulness and the ability to escape if needed.

Iron Allergy: Iona, like most fairies, has an extreme allergic reaction to cold iron. Even casual contact can leave painful welts or sores.

Trusting Nature: Iona is willing to give everyone a chance. She trusts people to keep their word, to tell the truth, and act in earnest.

Small: Being a fairy, Iona is not physically powerful. Even when she is human-sized, she is not strong.

Name: Eric Deagro

Appearance (Anime pictures preferred, or detailed description): Eric stands at 5'7” with a lean but well defined and athletic build. His sleek raven hair frames a face of a sharp and well defined features which often is frozen in a expression of what mistakenly appears to be a look of perpetual disinterest. Lacking a preference for apparel, Eric's garb is usually defined solely by its function. In formal occasions he's most often adorned in the bright silver plate armor of the Knights of Lesallum, and in more casual environs he usually wears a set of loosely fitting darkly toned attire that allows for a free range of motion.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality (Please be descriptive): An unshakable devotion to those under his care only matched by the passion with which he seeks to make himself a better protector of that which is important to him, above all that is what makes Eric Deagro. While first impressions often lead people to believe that Eric is standoffish, the reality is that he is simply lacking in the social confidence necessary to establish relationships through more conventional means. Contrary to how this paints him, Eric has a deep caring for those who he has affection for to the point where he put every ounce of focus he has towards addressing what he perceives as being the problems of his charges. Despite his best intentions this all consuming focus often leaves him blind to all but what he is attempting to resolve in the moment, even if it means failing to see what is happening in the world around him, and what else might be causing torment in the lives of those he seeks to defend.

Weapon/Magic (What weapon do you wield? Can you cast magic?):
Due to his desire to defend those around him, Eric has taken to fighting with a sword and shield. At the moment, neither of these are particularly remarkable items, and among the knights of Lesallum, his skill barely surpasses that of a novice.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): Eric's story begins before his birth, with the legend of his father, Vallance Deagro. Vallance was a man with a storied career as a soldier in the Vesallum army, tales of his unbelievable accomplishments reaching beyond the kingdom's borders. Eric had never known this legendary hero, only the drunken lout who coasted on the goodwill earned by his name, the foul individual who ceaselessly abused him and his mother and disgustingly declared that his son would only ever be a disappointment in his eyes.

What stung beyond the blows of his father was the constant mewling he'd heard levied towards his tormentor by those who only new the stories of him. “How glad you must be to have such a great father!” Strangers would tell him with disgusting sycophancy. “You certainly have some large shoes to fill young man!” They'd laugh as if knowing what a joke such a statement was.

Despite his loathing for his father, this constant pressure drove him to ceaselessly better himself. If he was anything less than amazing, he would always be reminded of how he should aspire to be as great a hero as his father. If he ever took a moment to himself, he would be reminded that such laziness did not befit the progeny of the kingdom's finest. Under such constant berating by the adults in his life, Eric became convinced that perhaps they were right in the greatness of his father and his own inadequacy.

There was only one person who seemed to seem him as anything other than the son of a hero, and that was the girl who grew up in the house next to his, a kindly soul by the name of Greta. She was the only one who ever treated him as his own person, as someone who saw that he was struggling every day under the weight of his name. She offered him solace in allowing him the occasional chance to be the child that he was, to eat pastries, to lay among fields of flowers, to wonder at the world around them.

Yet Eric was unable to keep this joy in his life from being consumed by his burdens, eventually seeing Greta as being the sort of wonderful person that needed to be protected by a hero. To this end he became even more driven to improve himself, eventually becoming skilled enough to earn himself the title of local hero as he was able to defend his town and his sole friend from the monsters that threatened their village. Despite telling himself that this had all been for others, Eric couldn't help but find the recognition to be somewhat intoxicating. Finally he was being seen as someone in his own right, finally he could be mentioned separately from the monster whose name he shared.

Alignment (Do you work alongside Lesullum’s Order of Jewels? An Independent group?): Eric is an ally of the Order of Jewels in service to the Knights of Lesallum.

Sexual Preferences: Eric is largely inexperienced in matters of sex, with only a few experimental moments in his home village keeping him from being a complete neophyte. While he is loath to admit it due to the way he defines his role in life as that of a protector, Eric finds a secret fascination in the concept of a domineering relationship. He continuously tells himself that this would only extend to the concept of a protective husband and a doting wife, but on occasions his mind cant help but traverse beyond the lines of social acceptability.

Likes: Eric has never been the most particularly happy individual, but he does have a few things that elevate his spirit. Beyond anything, the sight of appreciation for his efforts in the eyes of others gives him a sense of accomplishment that he constantly strives for. However he also has a nostalgic appreciation for the taste of baked goods and the aroma of flowers, less because of how they please the senses, and more because it reminds him of the few times where he felt as if he felt happy without necessitating the approval of others, something he feels he only had because of the dear friend he had to share those moments with.

Dislikes: Eric views life as a constant struggle, if not against the threats surrounding a man and their charges, than against oneself and a desire for complacency.  As a result of this, Eric can't help but view what he believes to be an excess of frivolities to be both irresponsible and immoral. A person must fight for the sake of the people they want to protect, otherwise they do a disservice to those they might have the gall to claim to care for. An extension of this is a severe distaste for those who have found themselves in a place of privilege and power, not for their own efforts, but from others granting them these things when they were undeserved.

ONs and Offs: In his inexperience and withheld desires, Eric is willing to try most things at least once, however he has a longing for dominance that he doesn't know how to act upon. Due to player preferences, this openness does not extend to bathroom play.

Strengths/Advantages (Please have at least three):

Unyielding Resolve: While he is still able to lift his shield in defense of others, he will do so without a second thought. While consciousness remains with him, Eric will throw himself into whatever danger might harm others without a thought to his own pain or peril.

Unbridled Focus: Once Eric has set his mind to do something, he will do everything in his power to see it through. If this means anything from learning a new martial maneuver to learning how to bake the perfect pastry for someone he cares for, he will see it done.

Rookie Combatant: While considered by the Knights of Lesallum to be a rookie in their ranks due to his self teaching, Eric's discipline has still allowed him to become an undeniably talented warrior in the use of sword and shield.

Baking Savant Although he considers it to be somewhat shameful for the son of a hero aspiring to great deeds himself, Eric has always had a unbelievable aptitude for creating and perfecting baked goods. Unfortunately as this came so easy to him, he can't help but feel as if it is an undeserved talent, and rarely uses it save for at Greta's request.

Stubbornness: Once Eric has set his mind to do something, he will do everything in his power to see it through. This often leads to him becoming completely detached from the world around him, from the feelings of others, and even his own welfare.

Pride Due to his lineage and the thrill he receives from the recognition of his efforts, Eric can't help but be an extremely proud individual. Without hesitation he will seek to defend his name by putting his own life on the line, and on occasion he will even find a measure of pleasure in the harming of others who turn their noses up at him.

Rookie Combatant: Despite all his efforts to the contrary, Eric is still both a young man, and one who is self taught. His martial prowess is largely limited by lack of proper instruction in the ways of swordplay. Even now in his role as a knight, many of the instructors refuse to offer him the same tutelage they would to other knights due to what they view as a nepotistic relationship with the royal family.

Name: Rakan Al-Nasir

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Appearance: Rakan stands at a height of 5'8, sporting a toned physique leaning closer to the lithe spectrum. His hair is a rather simple shade of brown, often seen messy due to his daily activities. While most of his appearance would not warrant a second glance by anyone, his most striking features are the pair of light-piercing blue eyes, and the presence of markings on his left arm.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality: Despite being a hardworking, adventurous sort, Rakan is as solitary an individual as many of Wyspmoor's residents, perhaps moreso due to the schism between classes. Few folks far inbetween have ever been able to see anything more than a determined face grace his features, to the point where one would be forgiven for assuming he's forgotten how to smile. However, were one to meet with him in a tavern, they would find this is very much not the case, as he greatly enjoys the atmosphere of individuals after a hard day drinking away their worries in the presence of one another.

However, deeply rooted in his being is an obvious resentment for the elite class in Wyspmoor, who can gleefully look down upon him and others that toil for much of their lives in the service of those that potentially perceive themselves better. More often than not, he's forced to keep these opinions to himself, as there are many worse things Wyspmoor must deal with than internal conflicts, as the very world around them seems to try for their sanity and well being. All in all, Rakan struggles to stumble through life, seeking the means to reverse the fortunes of himself and his people any way he can... Or failing that, to carve an existence out away from the reaches of royalty and elitism.

Weapon/Magic: Rakan wields Paired Daggers, nothing terribly special about them. As for magic, well... No, he has none. He's just rather adept physically.

Background: Many wish to be born with the hope or knowledge that they were connected to some grand lineage, destined for greatness... Rakan, however, was not. Little more than a peasant born into the lowly working class of Wyspmoor, he has had the privilege of toiling under the watchful gaze of the elites, safe and secure in their homes while the citizens outside were always in danger posed from The Wilds. A few lucky folks were often plucked from the working class to go work in the castle, but such a lucky break was never afforded to the man. Nevertheless, he often did not envy those who went to work for those above them, as the less he needed to see of them, the better.

However, everything was shaken up when a new Jewel bearer was chosen... And it was not someone of the high class. Talk at the local tavern had gone to great lengths about how the Bearer was now someone from the low class, a one Seraphina Willowe. To Rakan, this woman was a hero among the people, unaware of just how much grief the stone would go on to cause its newfound wielder. It wasn't until later that he heard the scathing whispers, of hopes dashed, others questioning if they would be punished by the elites for a lowborn obtaining the stone, and more. Many had even gone on to blame the woman for troubles that seemed to rapidly increase for the village, and soon Rakan grew disgusted of it. Only a few seemed to continue to hold her in high regard, himself one such person among his associates.

Despite their new Jewel Bearer, life had not changed in the slightest for Rakan, though he often found more reason to go about it with more positivity in his life knowing someone like her would hopefully use the power rightfully. Often times, he even hoped that if he could better himself in the way of combat, he might even be able to join her, to help any way he could. However, his method of training included the use of The Wilds via short jaunts, only going far enough to test against the creatures close to home, the ones that posed the greatest danger of barreling into the village to cause trouble. A lifetime growing up near The Wilds had helped to afford the young man enough resistance to do what he could without needing to venture too deep.

Over time, however, he would come to feel increasingly in need of new experiences, such as the sort that he would not find chained to Wyspmoor for the rest of his life, and so when he felt good and ready, he bade friends and family farewell to pursue new horizons. Now, the world as a whole was to be his new home, and he would have to make a new living any way he could, much like how Seraphina was no doubt doing as well. Highway robbery would go on to serve his needs for a time, stealing from wealthy mercantile caravans some of their coins and a small portion of their food to survive, his own capabilities keeping average protectors at bay long enough to secure something to live off of. Within the following months, he has since set himself up for Mercenary work, though he still performs thievery on the side if only to satisfy old habits. After all, the rich surely won't miss a negligible portion of their riches... And if so, few were brazen enough to resist and risk punishment via public embarassment.

Yet with each passing day he keeps in mind the fact that, sooner or later, he would draw the attention of more determined Knights and peacekeepers to stop him... Maybe even one day he woukd need to fight the very Jewel Wielders themselves. Though he dreads such a day, he also looks forward to it as a test of how far along he has come.
Alignment: Mercenary/Bandit

Sexual Preferences: Rakan likes wild, raunchy sex!... But no, not really. To Rakan, Sexual experience matters very little in the grand scheme compared to finding the right person you jive with. The talks of one night stands, having multiple partners, 'conquests' and the like do not appeal to the man, whereas simple companionship and presence has served more than well enough. Many a night has Rakan spent time with one lady or another, less out of interest and more out of necessity, and rarely have these encounters turned sexual. At most, kissing, embracing, and other physical exchanges are most common in Wyspmoor's more dangerous areas. Does that mean he's a virgin? He would certainly never tell a soul.

Likes: In Rakan's life, he appreciates effort; Those who work hard to better themselves, achieve some goal, or fight to resist a fate that would otherwise see them dead. The drove to survive, as he prefers to call it. In less abstract matters, Rakan has a fondness for sweets rarely seen among other Wyspmoori residents. Finally, he enjoys peace and quiet, usually alone but at times this can include the presence of another.

Dislikes: Rakan has a notable dislike for loud, boastful individuals, either of their own merits, their skill in battle, their latest lay, and more. To him, if one must be so loud about their accomplishments, there must exist some manner of insecurity that plagues their being so deeply that they must announce something with pride to keep it at bay. Among other things, Rakan has a dislike of utterly bitter vegetables, and unless they possess some manner of sweetness or measure of taste, he will greatly resist them with the same tenacity a child might. Finally, as mentioned above, he has a great dislike of nobility of all shapes, sizes, and sorts. No matter how benevolent your rule, how pure your intentions, how fair your beauty may be, his view of nobility has long since been been dead and buried thanks to the elites of Wyspmoor, and he wants nothing to do with them anymore in any region, on any continent of the world.

ONs and Offs: I'm okay with many things as long as I'm asked in advance.
But as far as offs go, scat, snuff/gore, vore, stuff like that are very much hard 'No's' for me.

Strengths/Advantages:

Tenacity - Rakan is a hardy individual, even if his overall build may not seem like it. From trying to eke out a living in dangerous territory, to fighting a daunting opponent, Rakan will adamantly refuse to call it quits until all possibility seems moot.

Lithesome - To Rakan, being able to stand there and soak up damage is not worth being able to flank, evade, and ambush an opponent when they least expect it. To that end, his physical training has gone to great lengths to improve his movement, footwork, and sense of balance to adeptly engage opponents and retreat through difficult paths to follow.

Good Company - Any good Wyspmoori knows better than to trust just anyone on the outside. His actions have, nevertheless, drawn something of a following of associates and friends, some Wyspmoori and others looking for a slice of the pies he likes to cut from the world. More often than not it's a little disorganized, but when motivated, he can lead a group like a proper bandit clan.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:

Self-Imposed Exile - It may be his home, but Rakan was happy to leave it to gaze upon a bigger world. Since leaving, he has sworn off returning home until he can change the status quo, one way or another. Mayhaps it's a fool's errand. Perhaps he'll never see the illusory majesty of Wyspmoor ever again. How this tale ends, no one knows,  but rarely do they end happily.

Easily Tired - Whether due to how often he labors, or just in general a very sleepy person, Rakan is nevertheless often capable of finding himself easily exhausted. Untrusting - This seems to be a Wyspmoori standard, but Rakan rarely trusts anyone, or anything, enough to be near them for any longer than necessary, unless they themselves are Wyspmoori. Appearance (Anime pictures preferred, or detailed description): Vergil is a tall man standing at 6’2, and weighing around 200 pounds. With blueish gray eyes that seem to shine in the darkest places, and short onyx black hair, he has been used to being stared at by those who are around him, either out of intrigue or wary concern as to who he is. With most of his body covered by dark tattoos, it’s hard to tell that Vergil is a somewhat lithe and lanky individual, not much in consideration when it comes to strength and muscle. Despite this, Vergil lives for his own needs and wellbeing, and considers himself confidant in what he does. Though people notice, they often not ask why he walks with a cane, something he is used to carrying with him.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality (Please be descriptive): Vergil is someone who at first glance would seem like the type to be cold and distant, and for Vergil, he believed that at times as well. One to be off on his own, to get what he wants at his own discretion, he didn’t seem to find time in teaming with others; however, his participation in their little group all but called for it. Very much in tune with inspecting and gauging people’s true emotions and intentions, Vergil is quite the inquisitive person, one that doesn’t blatantly insult, however, he can be blunt at times. He doesn’t sugarcoat things when they need to be heard, and finds that telling the truth is the easier way to getting people to talk, even if he himself is not truthful.

Though, his lies are all but to keep people away from who he really is, or rather, from who he once was. Not wanting to be weak, not wanting to be compared to his past self, he strives to be confidant in his abilities, but not a show off. He’s surprisingly a good listener, and is inquisitive when it comes to giving advice, and rather oddly, is good at understanding the emotions of others. Empathetic during quieter moments, people find Vergil to almost be like a source of comfort, for he does not judge those he doesn’t know personally.

Weapon/Magic (What weapon do you wield? Can you cast magic?): The cane that Vergil possess may look like an ordinary cane, shining silver hilt and all, however looks cqn be deceiving. Hidden within the cane is a sharp blade, a sword concealed.

Despite having this weapon he only uses it for close combat situations, as his magic is what is truly the deadliest. Seemingly something out of nightmares, Vergil summons and manifests his own shadow to become a being for which he uses. Usually in the form of an animal as a familiar, he uses it to fight the battles he finds himself in, as well as for gathering information he seeks. Almost as if he lives vicariously through his shadow, his commands for it are direct, with concentration being key to keeping its shape.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?):

Vergil had been born to a kind mother within the village of Etrigan, near the outskirts of Lesallum, settled nearby a riverbank. The village only held a small hundred or so, as the villagers within survived in trading goods and selling of lumber. Vergil was much too busy with helping his sickly mother, as his father was no where to be found, having left them when he was not yet even born. Resentment and confusion as to why he would leave, Vergil found himself having to grow fast, as his mother could only do so much before he would tire herself. He grew only seeing very few people, as those began to feel that his mothers illness could be deadly, and Vergil was soon left to fend for the entire household.

Despite this, he was still a curious young boy, wishing to go out into the world, and to find his father. From what he could gather from the villagers much older then him, he was a soldier of some sort that would roam villages to fight monsters for coin. With the information he had, he set off on a short journey at the age of 13, leaving his mother in the hands of a couple who he trusted, only being gone for a short few days. The journey was long, but as he passed each village, more information came to him about his father:p; he was getting closer, he knew it.

It wasn’t much longer before he found himself at the outskirts of a village by the name of Montreaux, and hidden from view, Vergil could hear the village’s blacksmith speak to a man; the same features he’d been told about, the same black hair, it was him...

Though Vergil’s happiness soon died, for not even taking one step to finally introduce himself to his father, that a younger boy came rushing over to him. The same colored hair as him, and the way he followed his father like a lost dog; no...there was no way, could there?

Another child, another son?

...he had a brother. One that his father loved more than him.

The mere thought angered him, blood boiling as Vergil left the village, not even one step towards his father he had been searching for all this time. Seething with rage over what he had witnessed, the thought couldn’t leave his mind of the boy that his father left him for. He was younger, but much more lively then Vergil ever had been at that age. Was his mother as sick as his way, or was she free of such a burden that bore so much responsibility? Did his new son give him more joy then the task of taking care of a frail woman and her child?

It wasn’t but a day later that Vergil began to feel unwell, as if there was an ache in his heart, his entire body. His joints became somewhat stiff, and as the energy from his body had been drained, he struggled to return to his home. The illness that his mother had been suffering from, was hereditary it seemed...

The return to his home was difficult, but Vergil had made it back, but it seemed the Gods did not wish to give him but an ounce of happiness, as he was told that his mothers condition worsened while he was away. Both of them suffering, the village’s doctor spoke of a rumor, of a plant that grew in the fabled Wilds that could cure any disease. With a rage burning within him, Vergil willed himself to continue on to such a destination, all for the will of his mother, the only person he had left in the world.

It took him days, and the dangers were present as the people of Wyspmoor were there to guard the entrance, but being one who was not easily swayed by the dangers, Vergil pursued. The Wyspmoorian guards all but gave no remorse to the human boy who was off to set his own fate, and with as much a haste as he could muster, Vergil set himself inside. Despite his bravery, The Wilds were a place that none could ever seem to grasp, as it circled and entrapped you within a maze of fog. Not knowing if he’d been out there for days, or mere hours, Vergil found himself frail, and more so, an easy target.

The rage and fury he felt over everything came to a boiling point, as he clawed at the ground beneath him. He knew that the journey to the Wilds was all for not, as he had already been informed of his mothers passing. The grief of it all still willed him to go, even if his reason for doing so was gone.

It all seemed to be lost, his will to live most of all, when something whispered in the fog. A voice, low, intriguing, echoed through the forest. Vergil’s frail body lifted itself, and in front of him stood a man, a dark elf by the name of Blackfire.

You wish to bring revenge to those that have wronged you, he asked.

His thoughts scattered and jumbled, the questions was but clear in his mind.

Yes, he wanted revenge, he would do whatever it took to get his revenge on those that wronged him, for abandoning him for the weak body he possessed. Like the blackest night he had ever witnessed, a shard of a jewel gleamed within the man’s fingertips. The power he sought was at hand, and soon found that coursing through him was a power that could give him what he wanted, all at the leadership of the man named Blackfire.

Alignment (Do you work alongside Lesullum’s Order of Jewels? An Independent group?): A member of Those Who Lurk in the Shadows

Sexual Preferences: Vergil is a man that doesn’t try to interfere with his work, and because is being in such an important mission, one for his own sake, flings and nights with strangers is hardly something he finds himself in need of. Due to his own personal hardships, and because of the life he has found himself with now, he doesn’t have time to seek after someone who will get him distracted. There have been times where he wonders what his life would be like if he were to go about staying as he were before all of this, but finds that his goals for revenge outway his need for physical or emotional connections.

Though, that doesn’t mean there isn’t someone who could change his ways of thinking...

Likes: Literature and Poetry (something his mother loved), walks at night, getting what he wants easily, conversation with others, quiet says where he can be with himself and think

Dislikes: His father, the circumstances that lead to his mothers death, who he used to be and what will happen if he fails his mission, trivial matters that could distract him

Potential plots involving your character? What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?: Would love to see what would happen if Vergil were to begin seeing the error of his ways, that, or possibly someone being there to help him see the side of good.

Strengths/Advantages (Please have at least three):

-Magic: Vergil’s Magic, though supplied by Blackfire’s generosity, is something that he has gotten control over quite easily. It has been a life save for him to use, and enabling him to be much more then he once was.

-Mystery: Vergil keeps to himself, and the information he holds is even more important (to some they would even say the info he has is more important than his own life, and he couldn’t help but agree). He’s easily able to keep a shroud of mystery around who he is, usually his tracks nice and tidy so that no one were to snoop on his business. As well, this makes him especially confidant at tracking information, for those that do not notice him easily say things that they only hope people do not eavesdrop on.

-Ingenuity: Vergil is one that uses brains rather then brawn. Despite knowing how to fight, he knows when something is pointless or too strong for even himself, and knowing when to run is always the best route. Just because I’ve leaves a battle does not mean they are cowardly, not when there is more at stake when you are alive. Vergil uses his planning to keep himself, and the group he works for, steady for the upcoming battle, as those who do not meet the measure that their leader wishes find themselves at a sudden end.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages (Please have at least three):

-Frailty: Despite the piece of the Obsidian Jewel coursing through his body, the jewel can only do so much of the work. Vergil has to be careful with his he proceeds with keeping his energy, both in battle and out, as he begins to feel the effects that the jewel has on him. Physically weakening and becoming the frail man he once was, he has to conserve his energy, lest the foolish heroes get the better of him.

-Weak Heart: More mentally then in the physical sense, Vergil has been told by many, including Blackfire, that he was born with a weak heart. Born a man that held morals, emotions that could hold you back, Vergil keeps his emotions in line when business is at hand, yet there are moments where he can’t seem to shake his resolve and leave it alone. Passive aggressively helping others without a word most of the time, he doesn’t do it out of the goodness of his win heart, or even to those that need it, but simply because whoever he’s helping is in his way, and it’s simply the fastest solution.

-Turmoil: Vergil is a man that has had many obstacles in his life, and they just keep leeching into him even years later. With the death of his mother, and to then find that his father who had abandoned him has another son, he finds himself feeling as if his entire existence was pointless. With no one close to speak with, and to have no compassions other then the familiars he creates, Vergil finds that he is lacking in some form of connection with others. Feeling truly alone, he finds that there is no hope for someone like him, as he has already committed many sins for the group he works with.

Theme: N/A

Extra Info: The piece of Obsidian jewel that Blackfire gave Vergil is but temporary. At any moment that Blackfire is displeased, he could rip the jewel from his body, leaving him the frail man he once was.

Personality (Please be descriptive): In the face of combat and danger Ambrose is the very picture of calm, cool, collected and confident. He fights with the confidence of a man incapable of defeat. That confidence in battle follows him everywhere even in the most peaceful times and couples perfectly with his soft spoken charisma. He very much comes across a man wise beyond his years. Understanding, patience, and the honorable behavior one would expect of the captain of the guard come to him as second nature.

Beneath the visage he puts forth for the public is a coiled snake poised and ready to strike. Within him burns the hatred of injustice and years of torment. A man so talented as he ought not serve but rule if not for the birthright of women otherwise too weak to defend themselves. Ambrose contains the will to use, manipulate, and even kill those that stand in the way of his quest for not only power but nobility. He seeks one day to rule these lands by faith or by force. Whatsoever proves necessesary.

Weapon/Magic (What weapon do you wield? Can you cast magic?): Ambrose himself possesses little ability in expediently casting any sort of magic. Though his sword and shield, with great care and many hours, adorn various runes carved into their surfaces to aid in lessening the impact of spells used against him. The weapon and shield themselves having been passed down from his father have long served Lesallum. Effectively the shield can save him from what would otherwise be a fatal elemental attack such as a fire ball via deflection though it CANNOT reflect such attacks. The sword, and his ability, give him the capability to cut down lesser magical attacks. These attacks must be quickly formed and of lesser power for the sword to be useful as the shield is his primary defense.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?):
Ambrose Locke was born the son of the former Captain of the Guard Jarren Hess and former renowned jewel maiden Seraphine Locke. Together his parents formed the sword and the shield Lesallum for years on end and together they made both quite the couple and spectacle. By all outward accounts they were the perfect couple. A fairytale of sorts come true. Yet within the walls of their own dwelling many things differed from the public understanding.

His mother always treated him with the greatest depths of her love, if a bit doting, and saw to his every need as best she could. Both publicly and privately that could little be denied. Unfortunately during the period in which she was incapable of fulfilling her duties while she carried Ambrose to term Jarren suffered an injury that cost him an eye due to the mistake of his wife's stand in. Though this wasn't where certain behavior began it surely was the moment an uptick could be noted.

In private Jarren was always something of a cruel man toward his Ambrose. Strict, quick to temper, and often just as quick to easily disguised acts of violence. He seemed rarely, if ever, to have a kind word for Ambrose. Following the loss of his eye, and some diminish in his capabilities because of it, this behavior only intensified. All the while his mother stood idly by and offered only comfort following the damage he inflicted. As powerful as she may be, as much as he knew she loved him, eventually he came to realize she merely soothed the wounds she could so easily have prevented.

This realization created within him a growing resentment even from a very young age. Magically speaking  he could do little more than start a fire to keep himself warm without hours of runic scribing. The resentment he had for his mother only intensified when coupled with jealousy for something granted to her by happenstance rather than hard work and determination. Through the years of training and forced discipline that followed he became a marvel to behold with both sword and shield proving to have even more natural talent than Jarren.

By fourteen he'd won his first tournament. A full fledged member of the guard at sixteen he accompanied his mother, father, and their chosen soldiers on outward missions. By seventeen he stopped participating in them lest the competitions be unfair and lack entertainment for their people and their queen. At nineteen an incident occured that altered his fate and forever set the course for his path. A disturbance was reported on the boarders of their land, as told by his father and the guard captain, which required the particularly skilled talents of their group.

None could have expected what transpired next. Deep within a system of caverns beneath a mountain did the group encounter a great serpent. One of such power and speed that not even the likes of Seraphine Locke and her jewel were able to lay the beast low without taking half the mountain down atop of them. Ambrose himself was injured and only one of their additional guards lived to tell the tale. It was enough, though, to prove his mettle. One year to the day following the incident that took his parents was he risen to the station of Captain of the Guard and presented with his father's sword and shield.

For seven years he has served as the Captain of the Guard dutifully and with honor... so far as anyone knows.

Alignment (Do you work alongside Lesullum’s Order of Jewels? An Independent group?): The Shadows (Primarily himself)

Sexual Preferences: Ambrose prefers women and is typically a more dominant partner. While a more aggressive female would certainly interest him, at least in the moment, he takes a good deal of gratification in controlling the "fairer sex". When interacting with men it is, most often, both as simple as blowing off steam and establishing some form of dominance.

Likes: Attention, recognition, adoration, humility, control, and his own prowess. Beneath his honorable visage he's quite the narcisist. Additionally he is quite fond of showing off his talents in combat. Outside combat Ambrose enjoys the serenity of nature, fine wines with good meals, and soothing music are among some of the simpler things he enjoys.

Dislikes: Losing, being condescended to, obeying any will beyond his own, the scar on his lip in all forms from the feel of it to the mere notice of it, his origins, and hiding whom he really is for so long as it's necessary.

ONs and Offs: Ambrose enjoys.. no... prefers to be worshipped. Submission is nearly a must. What he prefers most is what is offered freely and simply what he takes. Far more one to take than give under most circumstances. Some degree of private humiliation of his partner is far from off the table though he does make a point not to take his desires far enough that they become public knowledge. (From a writing standpoint I'll write most anything apart from watersports, vore (outside vampire games and in the feeding sense during sex), gore, that sort of "extreme". It's generally easier to ask if I'm ok with something or not rather than a list of O/O's)

Potential plots involving your character? What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?: While I am open to essentially all potential plots his primary focuses will be gaining the adoration and support of all he can to one day make his eventual grab for power. Playing both sides will certainly be a great risk but the potential reward could be a crown and to stand atop all others just as he deserves. Though he does, underneath all of it, care for the Kingdom and hope one day to find a wife to take her place beside him as he rules.

Strengths/Advantages (Please have at least three):
Raw physical and Mental combat capabilities: When it comes to strategy in combat and physical combat itself he is thought to be second to none.
Respect and Loyalty: In his years as Captain of the city's guard he has garnered a great deal of trust and respect among his people and his men. Trust can and often is quite easily manipulated and he has every intention of using his every advantage.
Gaze: Ambrose has what is best described as unnatural charisma. So much so that meeting eyes with him can often enthrall them to some degree. Often this depends on the duration and intensity of their eyes having met and the personal constitution of the target.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages (Please have at least three):
Arrogance:  Arrogance is most certainly Ambrose's greatest disadvantage. His skill is such that he can sometimes toy with his opponents enough that a second opportunity can be found in the fight against him. On occasion he's even found himself daydreaming of moments that he manages to pry a jewel from the cold fingers of various potential victims.
Magically Inept: Despite being very much capable of defending against magic, to an extent that is, his ability to actually utilize magic himself is wanting. While he is capable of casting harmless spells, like starting a campfire, the time it takes him to sketch the appropriate runes deems the "skill" quite useless to him.
Double Agent: Living two lives, especially two so entirely different from one another, has consequences. His words need be thought out carefully, his actions precise, and not a whisper of his betrayal can escape any lips to meet the open air. One mistake in either direction and it all topples down. His ambitions, his life within and without the walls of their great city. He must live on the razor's edge.
Trust: Though he has the trust and loyalty of a great many there isn't a sole living whom he actually trusts with what and who he is. He is entirely alone by that way of thinking and the idea of sharing himself and risking it all is perhaps the one thing that terrifies him. He lives on the edge of a blade treading carefully so as not to be cut.

LIGHTNING BOLT!") can 'charge' the metal weapons or herself and allies so that they deliver zaps or bursts of electricity, and provide surges of strength and speed to muscles (i.e. 'buff spells'). How did you acquire your jewel? (Was it passed down from the previous owner? Were you suddenly chosen?): It literally struck her like lightning. A younger Kaya was struck by lightning which had just struck and arced from a tree. She was thrown onto her back while the tree was split asunder, revealing the Jewel in the heart of the tree; the tree must've grown around it and thus been at that spot since the tree was very young, perhaps before.

Semblance (Your unique power that comes from the jewel. What power does it grant you?): Electricity and lightning. Kaya's electric abilities aren't just about throwing angry lightning bolts, mind (but that's part of it). She often acts as a healer for the people of the Wyspwood, and in addition to her practical healer knowledge, she can use milder electric currents to stimulate muscles that have atrophied or require retraining after injury (she's an amazing masseuse). She can also use it to cure or manage some epilepsy-like conditions or cases of amnesia, or to quicken a stopped heart (like a defibrillator) or 'retune' an erratic heartbeat. She even has a limited ability to temporarily reanimate a fresh corpse ("IT'S ALIVE! IT'S AAAALIVE!") but this is rather icky or taboo (and arguably disrespectful to the deceased or loved ones) so she very rarely makes use of such 'necromancy'. She can also usually give people spontaneous orgasms by stimulating certain nerves (but only does this for therapeutic purposes, or foreplay, or pranks with people she knows well enough for it to go over well). She also uses her 'electric massage' powers to help amputees deal with phantom limb issues, or for general pain management of other patients. She can use electric pulses to throw herself through the air (i.e. fly, with a bouncing, pulsing rhythm like a series of launching jumps). Often uses electric blasts for various practical purposes like starting fires more easily, or giving her hair 'body'.

Mark of the Jewel (A mark that appears on the body when chosen. What does it look like? Where is it located?): A zigzagging lightning bolt that runs down Kaya's spine. Her long hair often hides the upper parts but it can be visible as the hair sways, and/or when she's wearing backless or midriff-baring attire (which is often). Runs from the base of her skull to her tailbone.

1. Purely atm it's if people make a sheet and let me know they would like to take a Jewel. Currently it's mostly on a reservation type service, and when you make a sheet I have to look over it. What matters if I approve it or if there would need to be changes made depending on what someone is asking for, especially when it comes to abilities regarding Jewels. There most likely will be some updated things in the character sheet added for Jewel holders, but at the moment people are allowed to put interest down for one, and to let me know.

2. In terms of how characters are going to be connected, it's going to be a bit of a sandbox mix of open world and plot. I have a general idea on how the plot is going to get rolling in terms of what could happen, but I also have to wait and see what character people are going to make, how many we have, if we will have any villains, etc, etc.

3. The general game motive of course is tp have fun. lol
In term of plot, there's going to be one added in a bit when I have time over the next day or two since I will be busy. But a general plotline will be explained to give players an idea of what will be happening, and where th eplot could go forward. When that happens, it might give people more of an idea of what kind of character they would want to play, their backstory, and what they want to do for the overall plot, etc.

Currently, the Aquamarine and Jade jewels are available for female characters!

For Males, only Ruby are taken, so you do have some choices depending on what gender you would like to play as!

Equally, those that don't have jewels are just as important for the story! If you want magical abilities, crystals formed from the jewels crashing to the Earth are available and able to be utilized for magical purposes as well! Still a lot of choices!

Appearance: Lunafreya stands at 5’5, weighing at 120 pounds. Her cream-colored skin accentuates her long striking dark grey hair and matching grey eyes, a stark contrast to the light blonde features of her older sister. Lunafreya appears as a prim and proper young woman, raised so by the many teachers and servants that have watched over her since birth. With nary a scar nor injury marring her skin, the young royal exudes an air of confidence and gentle nature that one would expect of a Princess from the Royal Family of Lesallum. Mature and wise for someone of her age, Lunafreya is mindful of her role as a royal, reminding herself to never show weakness amongst the commonfolk less it allowed. While an air of confidence comes from the young woman, Lunafreya isn’t one to shy away from her emotional side, however in the comfort and safety of familiar places, with that of familiar individuals she trusts.

Personality: Lunafreya is a woman that shows both confidence, and humility. Once a shy young girl, the princess has grown into an understanding and mindful royal, one that is both understanding of the masses less fortunate, and equally knowing of the dangers that lay past the castle walls less she let her guard down. Unfortunately due to the consequences of actions in her past, Luna has become no stranger to the misfortune of life, and those that are selfish to their own goals and ambitions. Ever since her former arranged marriage, she’s become more critical of such practices, and more so, the treatment that some women are forcefully put through to maintain status. No longer one to simply be a pawn in others games, Lunafreya gained more of a knowing appreciation for what she has, and speaks her mind when a situation doesn’t agree with her. When their is moments of reprieve, Lunafreya is an approachable young woman that likes to keep busy, be it with helping stock on supplies, or explore the towns or cities that she happens to be visiting. There are few things that bother her, less it be the treatment that both enslaved Invokers and women are given, more so the latter due to the misplaced fear of Bearers and their roles in the world.

Weapon: A silver Rapier

Background: Lunafreya Chamillet was born the youngest of two, her older sister Aranea becoming the heir to the Throne of Lesallum. Both were raised under the caring and watchful eye of their parents, Duke Edward Chamillet and Lady Laiandra Ashwood, both who took their stations as royal family of Lesallum to heart. As a child, Lunafreya was always taught the manners and customs of being a Princess, following whatever her parents wished for her. Her life seemed picturesque in comparison to many of those that were not born into noble blood lines, however with being royal came a price of freedom and safety. Even more, Lunafreya unknowingly had been chosen to wield the Sapphire Jewel, an event that her older sister, Aranea, was witness to when the two sisters were young. During a family trip to a neighboring Kingdom for peace treaties, the family was attacked by mercenaries hellbent on usurping Lesallum's resources and power. At 8 years of age, the danger of the situation caused the Sapphire's magic to awaken, causing snow and ice to rage across the area. Frozen in place, the mercenaries had been disposed of unknowingly by Luna's powers, but unfortunately, her parents had been caught in the crossfire. Drained from the powers used, Lunafreya and her sister were brought back to Lesallum, with the remaining magistrate and Aranea coming to agreement that Luna be kept from knowing what happened. For fear of her powers from manifesting for greater than what they could control, Luna was made to believe that Aranea herself had been blessed with the Sapphire Jewel. Unknowingly forming a Pact with her older sister, Lunafreya was kept sheltered within the Queendom of Lesallum, while her older sister took the helm of ruling after their parents demise.

Lunafreya's life changed the moment her parents were no longer with her, but royal duties and responsibilities continued regardless. Treaties and galas hosting allies from other families were carried out, and while Lunafreya kept to her responsibilities, she wised to venture outside the castle walls to see more of what the world had to offer. At her behest, Luna convinced Aranea to allow her visitation to other families and cities for partnerships and allies, however heavily guarded and escorted. Things began to change however when at 10 years of age, she gained a new friend. A former prince estranged from his home after a war killed his family and destroyed his kingdom, he was brought along with other refugees back to Lesallum. The two became fast friends, growing up with one another with nary a issue between them. So close in fact, that unbeknownst to those around them, the two friends gained feelings for one another, sneaking off to a secret grove where they could be with one another’s company as they wished. Life for Lunafreya had become a constant state of peace, as Lesallum’s prosperity seems to hold no bounds in its royalty, and for its people.

Luna’s life shifted when she turned 15. Pressured by societal norms and alliances between kingdoms during times of war, she was set to betroth a prince from a neighboring kingdom. Having met only twice, Luna was rightfully nervous of the exchange, but was eased by the presence of her friend, who accompanied her on the journey to the neighboring kingdom. Regretfully, in a fleeting moment where they believed none were privy to them, both were caught together during her visit, resulting in the exile of Luna’s childhood crush, less he face a more severe punishment. From that moment forth, Luna’s once joyful life crumbled, having no choice but to continue with the marriage for alliances sake. At 18, she was wed and became Queen to the neighboring Kingdom, knowing full well she was simply used as a trophy of high society to that of her newly betrothed.

The marriage however, didn’t last, as not surprisingly, the King was within an affair. Causing the the marriage, and the alliance, null and void, Lunafreya, at 20 years old, returned home to the loving arms of her sister, and her Queendom. For the last three years, Lunafreya has been helping Lesallum continue to maintain peace across their borders, while continuously striving to make amends for the mistakes she’s made in her past. She wonders what became of her dear friend, and wonders if he still lives, after the near decade they’ve been apart.

Fencing/Sword Fighting: While not as adept as the Royal Guard of Lesallum, Lunafreya has been trained in sword fighting if combat ever came to find her. Attack and defend tactics are second nature to her, but using them in real life combat situations.

Knowledge of Lesallum's History: Being a part of the Royal Family required Lunafreya to learn all about the history of the Kingdom, as well as her familial roots. Stretching back generations, Lesallum's history and upbringing have been taught rigorously, so much so that Luna can recite many of the quotes and inspiring words of Lesallum's most auspicious figures of history.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:

Jaded Royal: The responsibilities of royalty run high and naught for Luna, having been part of it since birth. Her once enthusiastic nature of learning the nuances of alliances and treaties slowly dwindled the day she was put into an arranged marriage. Her view point in Royal duties has since been met with a more critical eye, as she still upholds the responsibilities that keeps her people, and her family, safe from harm.

Target On Your Back: Being a Jewel Bearer is an honor said by many. However, it also comes at a great cost to the lives of the women that are forced to uphold the role. Whether scared of the power they possess, or angry for the same, Lunafreya is a target for many that either wish to destroy, or exploit the powers that a Jewel Bearer possesses.

Jewel Capabilities: Lunafreya hasn't known she's a Jewel Bearer, which creates tension regarding her control and overall aptitude of using her new found powers. When worse comes to shove, her powers may be put to the test, and she'll be unable to act as quickly as others who have had their abilities for far longer.

-Permafrost: Allows Lunafreya to create a thin layer of frost along the body, giving herself, and others, a shield from harsh temperatures.

-Shards of Ice: Lunafreya creates shards of ice that can shoot towards opponents. She can also focus on a specific location to allow ice to shoot from the ground, becoming both a weapon and a wall against attacks.

-Glacial Reflection: A flurry of icy wind, creating illusions of doppelgangers. A snowstorm must be created in order for Glacial Reflection to be used.

Semblance: Diamond Dust: The area surrounding the Jewel Holder is ice cold to the touch, dropping the temperatures to freezing. Any plant life or living organisms nearest will be subjected to the chill winds, a snowstorm soon forming the longer the Jewel holder is active in their awakened state.

Partnered Chevalier: Queen Aranea Chamillet (Unknowing)

Weakness: Extreme onslaughts of fire, by either Crystal Invoker, or Bearer, can weaken Lunafreya, to the degree that waves of flames could render her unconscious. As well, while the Sapphire's powers are powerful enough to freeze enemies, this Jewel has been known to be the physically weaker of the group. Subjecting to fight with ranged spells and magic, close up encounters against foes will leave Lunafreya vulnerable to breaking her awakened state.

A few questions though:

1) Do all characters need to be from Lesallum?
2) Does everyone need to be "good guy", or are we allowed to have a more anti-hero character if we wish?
3) How long have the jewels been around? I don't think I saw a timeline in the first post.

1. No, that is just one of the established Kingdoms.
2. No. There can be any type of person in the world, just like real life. Good people, bad people, people with their own goals and agendas. You’re allowed to make your character they way that you see them.

I will say with how things are looking, we’re having more heroes or potentially good folks than villains. Then again I don’t know what peoples characters will be like, but I am hoping for villains and complex characters soon! :D

3. I don’t have a timeline, but it has been centuries since they have been around. For example, the jewels have been around for so long that folklore and stories a have been built around them that the public have slowly begun to accept (not everyone, but most). While the Jewels are simply elemental powers and abilities, folklore has begun to form around if the h jewels were brought down by gods, and if gods themselves resided in them, creating the lore and legends of the “Gods” and the powers that the Jewel Bearers posses.

Yes it is known where the craters have crashed to earth. There are certain kingdoms for instance, that have built their entire Kingdom and cities around the crystal to cultivate their resources. Depending on if anyone wants a certain place, or creates an area for me to know about and to put in for information, I can add it in. For now, the only known place that has a Crater is Altorea.

Name: Rufus Altalph / "The Specter"

Appearance: Rufus stands about 5'9 in height, with a mop of shaggy black hair carelessly arranged to form something remotely presentable. His eyes are a striking, soul-piercing green, a feature he feels is one of his best. His build leans toward lithe with some tone, affording him the opportunity to perform evasive and acrobatic feats both day and night (especially night, considering his work). As part of his Lupine race, he has rather sharp canines, noticeably fluffy ears and a proudly fuzzy, if thick-furred, tail. He used to have sharper nails too, but he was convinced to at least keep them well-maintained.

When dressed as The Specter, he wears a thick, dark cloak with a wolf-themed mask fitted to his face, showing little other details to his being.

Sexual Orientation: Pansexual

Personality: While the greater majority of Lupines have more well-mannered and respectful temperaments, Rufus is decided rough around the edges... And even past them. Actually, maybe it's just safer to say he's rough all around. Spending most of his later life performing thievery and banditry, audacity and mischief are his constant companions at his best, with a lethal killer's instinct at his worst. He's noticeably free-spirited in how he talks to others and has rather a small sense of respect for others, especially of royalty and authority.

On the other hand, for those who can look past his faults and roll with the punches, Rufus is one of the more loyal and dedicated people you might meet, a notion most would find laughable considering his vocations. He doesn't read people well instantly, and so it takes time for him to warm up and trust others, but once he's sure you're reliable, he'll show his own reliable sides.

While stalking as The Specter, his personality is a complete 180, focusing with utmost precision and zero tolerance for fooling around. He almost never speaks in this state and fights almost like a man possessed, with every encounter treated like it could be his last.

Weapon/Magic: Though constantly being told to get into the habit of using a pair of knives, Rufus prefers to fight with just one... A finely crafted Icesteel Razor. Contrary to the name, the weapon is simply a hunting knife forged from cold metal ore deposits harvested from mines deep in the northland reaches, and is functionally no different from normal steel weapons.

Background: A wayward Lupine bumpkin from the proverbial sticks of the Northlands, Rufus was born and raised among a small, nomadic community of other Lupines. By the time he was born, his father was long gone following his own whims, leaving it up to his mother to raise him to the best of her ability. Life was rarely easy for them as he grew up, watching his mother make a living foraging and mining to help them and the rest of their tribe survive. Steady jobs were rare to find for people like them, and often their presence was barely tolerated around Altorea except for trading purposes.

The young Lupine had dreams of being able to finally own a place to live in Altorea, so he could give her the comfort she deserved after raising him alone for years. At the age of 20, it felt like things finally began to change when new laws were passed that would allow the nomadic Lupines to finally settle in Altorea in order to reduce the chances of them resorting to criminal lifestyles out of desperation. Finally, Rufus and his mother would have a home for themselves, and they could get safer, better paying jobs to support themselves.

Of course, it was never that easy.

One night, a break-in at his house disturbed him in the middle of the night, as his mother was abducted by robed figures. Unaware of his presence at the time, the figures attempted to abscond with his mother in the middle of the night, but Rufus managed to attack and kill one of them while the others quickly fled the scene. Unable to visually identify who was responsible for the kidnapping, the young Lupine recognized the robes as those belonging to Ministry agents. From there, he would try to make his way to the Ministry headquarters to find any sign of his mother. Unable to simply let it go, he sought any sign of his mother, and although he got one last fleeting glance at her, it was short-lived as he was swiftly found and cornered upon the rooftops by a man with horns, grievously wounding him and casting him into the frigid, misty water-filled chasms below the Ministry headquarters.

As luck would have it, Rufus did not die, falling into the cold foam of the rivers running out into the ocean, where Altorean fishermen pulled him from the water and nursed him back to health. Though thankful for the citizens helping him, Rufus couldn't see the city as his place anymore after what happened. He had no guarantee if his mother still lived, and it felt like the Ministry had darker designs than they allowed their citizens to know with how willing they were to kidnap people. The wilderness of the Northlands would become his home once again, and among it found other Lupines who chose to live off the land... And later, off of the city.

This was his life for the remainder of his years, and everything the people of Altorea hoped to avoid by giving Lupines a home in the city had laid claim to him. Armed with a knife and his disdain for authority, and taught in the ways of the underhanded and the criminal, the Lupine would sustain his life off of others, striking at those most fortunate and the least deserving to fence their goods for gold. Eventually his hunger led him to eventually seek out large crystal nodes to mine and sell for profit, irregardless of the danger.

As danger was an ever-present companion, he seldom used his real name and instead went by the alias 'The Specter' in his endeavors. The world beyond the Northlands knew nothing of Rufus Altalph, but The Specter was a figure who made himself apparent wherever profit could be made, said to hail from the cold reaches of the north, where his infamy included the killing of Ministry Agents. When The Specter stalked, it was done in a thick, black cloak with an ornate wolf-themed mask in order to hide his identity. With eight Ministry Guard fatalities and numerous thefts throughout the continent to his credit, bounties have been posted for his capture, but to date no one has managed to capture him.

No one knows, but one day, The Specter will turn his destructive intent fully upon Altorea, where he'll learn what happened to his mother that day, and how deep the corruption of the Ministry runs.

Strengths/Advantages:
1- Heightened Senses - Lupines are possessed of greater hearing and a sense of smell, and Rufus is no exception.
2- Ambidexterity - Rufus is keenly capable of wielding his Icesteel Razor in either hand, although he has a preference for his left. Likewise, when using crystal magic, he can use it with either hand.
3- Feral Agility - Rufus is blisteringly fast on his feet, both to run up on or chase down foes. He's also fairly adept at leaping up and along outcroppings to scale structures.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:
1- Strong Scents - A downside to his ability to smell thing easily is that if something is potentially strong, it can potentially make him dizzy and sick.
2- Loud Noises - Likewise with his hearing, exceptionally powerful noises like bomb blasts can disorient and stun Rufus.
3- Kleptomania - Rufus has an unfortunate desire to try to steal most times he feels he can get away with it. Especially if he knows there are valuable crystals nearby for him to pocket for himself.

Appearance: Short at about 5'4, and with a slender, androgynous frame, Vio is a very pretty young man. Despite living most of his life in Uruk there is a smooth, unblemished paleness to his skin that complements his short snowy hair and makes his large, bright blue eyes and long lashes stand out. Large somewhat floppy ears betray his lapine nature, possibly joined by the soft little tail that sits above the surprisingly generous curve of his backside, but the latter is typically covered now that he has escaped to the far colder north.
His clothing these days is rough and bulky, typically being wrapped up in thick furs as the cold is not something that he is at all used to.
The clothing that he escaped in is barely worth the word, being little more than thin strips of not quite opaque silk designed to show off his body, originally adorned with gems and precious metals although those have long since been sold or bartered away. Well, with one exception, but that one is rather different from the others.

Sexual Orientation: Pansexual

Personality: Most of Vio's life was spent being trained to be obedient and submissive and it worked. Despite the strength he can call upon now, he's a timid young man inclined to obey orders given to him by essentially anyone. He has improved in the latter regard a bit in recent days, but his newfound rebellious nature is still very careful and cautious, averse to risk. He's trying to be more assertive and to take control of his life, but he's very new to such concepts and not particularly good at it. He's easily spooked and scared, even if his training has left him very skilled in hiding his feelings and thoughts in order to better appeal to others, a skillset that he is turning to the task of manipulating others. He may not have much actual confidence, but Vio knows very well how to fake it, especially while charming and flattering others and there is a surprising amount of innocence to him, at least in some regards.

Once he feels safe around someone, a process that typically takes quite some time as his trust is very low and hard to build, his true nature reveals itself, a little bit more outspoken and very, very clingy and possessive. He doesn't have many people that make him feel safe and no threat to them, or threat of taking them away from him is permitted.
He has a few anger issues, but his general timidity keeps these in check for the most part.
Perhaps due to his life and training, Vio is a very sexual person, which contrasts sharply with his honest innocence in most other matters.
Outside of music, dancing, sex and social manipulation, Vio has very little knowledge and his flight to the north has made him aware of just how much he doesn't know, making him extremely curious about a very wide range of subjects, including some which are typically seen as common general knowledge.

Weapon: None/feet

Background: For almost all of his life, Vio was a pleasure slave in Uruk, trained for dancing, general service and sexual pleasure. His species and looks were unusual and his carefully preserved paleness set him apart from the usual standard. He passed between a few masters, the jewel in an especially rich man's collection that was pulled out to impress (and service) the very highest levels of Uruk society and nothing that could be considered failure in his looks or actions was permitted. While they wouldn't punish in any way that left physical marks, that simply meant that his punishments were more creative than simple pain.

Vio isn't entirely sure what happened on the night that he escaped. He had been the reward for the captain of his master's guard that night, when unusual sounds began making their way through the building, seeming almost to be headed towards him. Vio didn't see who was invading the mansion, but the destruction wrought allowed him to slip into the city.
Almost immediately he could tell he was being hunted, either by his master or whoever had attacked him, and so he continued to flee, until sand turned to snow and Vio had no idea where he was.
Taking up with a local lupine for protection, Vio has begun a life of theft, using his looks and social skills to help his companion in the areas that he is somewhat lacking.

1- Made to Please - Between his looks and the training and punishments, Vio is extremely skilled in charming men and women and getting them to agree to his master's wishes, or simply to distract others and leave them with good impressions of himself and his companion.
2- Dancer's Perfection - Vio's heritage gives him an unusual amount of speed and agility, and his training has made full use of this. It wasn't just his exquisite dancing that was improved by his incredible flexibility, balance and ability to support his entire body weight on unexpected limbs in unusual positions. His movements are instinctively graceful, precise and capable of being repeated for hours on end without rest.
3- Heightened Senses - Those big ears are not just for show. While his other senses are average at best, Vio's hearing is phenomenal.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:
1- Loud Noises - Vio can't really shut off his incredible hearing and loud noises can easily be disorientating, if not painful.
2- Target - Although Vio has only recently realised that he bears some sort of Gem it seems that someone else already knew about it and wanted it for themselves. Plus, the whole escaped slave thing.
3- Timidity - Vio is not brave. If pushed into a corner he may lash out, but if there's a path to escape he'd be far more likely to take it and run than stand his ground, even if that involves leaving others behind.

Semblance: Galatea: Named for a statue of literally divine beauty, Vio's form becomes that of faultless marble, able to move with his usual grace but no less resilient than stone, his blows now striking with the far greater weight and force of stone than mere flesh

Name: Ardyn Lucis Belmont

Appearance: (Detailed description, at least one paragraph) Ardyn stands at 6'1" in height, his jet black hair tending to be styled in a messy
manner generally. He has piercing crystal blue eyes that pierce harshly in an intense gaze. His body is chiselled and muscular, attributed to his countless hours of training which also led to quite the number of scars located all over it. Speaking of scars, he sports one across his left cheek as a physical reminder of the crime he had committed despite being so generously taken care of by the Kingdom of Lesallum.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality (Must be at least two Paragraphs in Length): Ardyn is a man of few words and little enthusiasm. He likes to cut straight through the nonsense and get to the meat of the issue. He isn't one to chit-chat or be overly friendly. This is all due in part to everything that has happened to him in his life thus far. He hopes that by remaining terse and unfriendly, he won't have to open himself up to other people and ultimately get disappointed like he has been many times already.

He realises that he is still in his youth but on the other side of that coin, he also realises that he doesn't have much to live for. No kingdom, no family, no friends, no allies, Ardyn recklessly rushes into battle, looking to end his life. However, his strength is vast and he is hard to kill, so he constantly searches for that last battle that will give him the rest that he searches for.

The discovery of his jewel has rekindled something inside him however and the sparks of desire to reclaim his fallen kingdom, to sit on his rightful throne have begun to light. Still, he is very much a realist and he will see just how far his newfound powers will take him.

Weapon: Longsword

Background: Ardyn Belmont was born to the Belmont royal family as the second prince of the Francosia Kingdom. Raised alongside a brother and two older sisters, he lived in the lap of luxury thanks to his upbringing. He was a talented young boy even for his age and as such was constantly flaunted at various balls and events where most of the upper echelon were invited. "Another young talent for the Belmont family," many said. "They are sure to prosper for many years to come," they also said. But there were insidious behaviours, dark thoughts that ran rampant through the minds of some. "The Belmont family are getting too powerful, we must stop them here or we shall never prosper ourselves," jealous, greedy thoughts like these spread among some in the upper echelon.

This all culminated in the brutal invasion of the Francosia Kingdom where the entire kingdom was decimated and their territory was taken. Out of everyone in the royal family, only Ardyn made it out alive. Seeking refuge was difficult and made a young Ardyn aware of the nasty nature of politics. No one wanted to offend the stronger kingdom and so they all stayed out of it, while some hoped that informing on Ardyn's location, they might get some benefits. Many times he had to escape the pursuit of hunters with only a few knights by his side.

In the end, however, he was all alone and he came to the Kingdom of Lesallum who accepted him with open arms. Touched by their kindness, he wanted to do whatever he could to repay them and so, at the age of 12, he began to train with the knights of Lesallum. The Lord Commander saw that Ardyn had talent and took him under his wing. He was trained personally by the Lord Commander and Ardyn viewed him as a second father.

While at the castle, he was also reacquainted with the princess of Lesallum, Lunafreya. They became quick friends and soon their relationship developed into something deeper than that. However, they knew that they couldn't be open with their affection with one another, so they could only do so in secret. However, they could not keep this secret for too long.

During a trip to her betrothed's kingdom, they were caught in the embrace of passion and Ardyn was immediately imprisoned. Tortured for days, he was finally released when the Kingdom of Lesallum agreed to exile Ardyn to the front lines, where he would have to fight every single day for the rest of his life. Upon this sentence, he was given a brutal scar on his left cheek to symbolise his sin. Without even a chance to say farewell, Ardyn was sent away and forced to risk his life every day.

The memory of Lunafreya was the only thing that was driving him forwards every day until he heard news about her marriage to the prince of the neighbouring kingdom who soon became king. This crushed Ardyn completely and sent him down a spiralling path into depression. He had no family, no friends, his true love was stolen from him, everyone turned their backs on him and he had no one to turn to. Why did he need to go on living?

Years passed and Ardyn became known as a berserker on the front lines, recklessly rushing into numerous foes and coming out soaked in blood. He didn't care for victory, he only wanted to meet a swift end but he could not find it. A chance came one day however, the enemy Kingdom advanced with numerous troops, putting all their best warriors in the vanguard, hoping to breakthrough Lesallum's impenetrable defence. They had victory in their grasp and Ardyn was moments away from the blissful release of death... but it was then that his eyes began to glow red and a fiery aura exploded outwards from him. Parts of his body became scaley and his eyes became reptilian. A few of the surviving soldiers commented that it
looked as if a man was fused with a dragon. Ardyn had destroyed the entire invading battalion in one giant scorching fireball that left a massive burning crater just outside the fort they were defending. It didn't end there however because Ardyn needed to be restrained by allied soldiers since he was going out of control.

Eventually, he was brought under control and imprisoned with special shackles. It turned out that he was a jewel bearer and he wielded the Ruby, which explained his appearance when he transformed. Ardyn was briefly possessed by Ifrit, perhaps due to Ifrit's desire to survive, and with his new powers, he obliterated the enemy. News of this was sent to the Queen Aranea and she demanded that Ardyn returned swiftly back to the capital to await command. Now that he was a jewel bearer, he had value.

Now he is imprisoned, waiting for his time to be useful to the Queen.

Personality (Please be descriptive): Queen Aranea is a dutiful and responsible ruler, doing whatever she can to keep her people safe. She does whatever she can to create peace within her own kingdom, taking many a cost and risk all for the sake of victory. When in talks with others of royal heritage, or those of importance, she shows an air of respect and dual grace, knowing that relationships with other countries and Kingdoms is important. However for the Queen, her responsibility and desperation to keep her Queendom safe has made her more desperate for more secure ways of safety. Those who have served the Queendom have noticed that as of the past few years, Aranea treats her younger sister, Lunafreya, with more strict rules and responsibilities than before.

Background (What has lead you to where you are today?): Aranea Chamillet is the Queen of Lesallum, a Queendom that has been ruled over by her for over 10 years. While the process had been long and arduous, Aranea rose above the transgressions and judgmental eyes of those that deemed her too young and incompetent to hold the throne. Present day, Aranea as seen as a magnificent ruler who is loved by her people, and a strong figure of hope for the Queendom of Lesallum to prosper and grow.

Appearance: (Detailed description, at least one paragraph)

Standing at around 6 feet even (Give or possibly take a few inches), Roland is a more relaxed fellow at first glance. Athletically built yet not muscular, most of his build is obfuscated by what he wears, be it his more gleaming and white armor, or simply casual traveling clothes that fit him well. With short dark hair that holds streaks of white within, he looked to be a young adult, holding sapphire eyes, a clean shaven face, and seems rather quick to smile. With a blade at his side almost always, he could look the part of a traveling knight or mercenary with a big heart.

However, when he is in a fight, much of that lackadaisical nature swiftly fades. Within those soft blue eyes can lie a sharp and steely nature. There is a reason Roland carries a blade and clads himself in armor, and while he prefers to present himself as easygoing, that fighting confidence shows itself when he needs it.

Roland is mostly what people would see him as at first glance – or so he hopes. Good natured, friendly, ready to help out others and will put himself on the line for others who can’t or don’t have that luxury. However, those who sport a keen eye may be able to spot the confidence to his stance most of the time, and the way that he seeks to present himself as calm and together.

It is in battle or when his life is on the line when he takes on a far more serious facade. Gone is the smile, gone is the carefree nature that Roland gives off. He’s not a remorseless killer but he has walked the path of the blade for some time, and realizes that when a sword is drawn a life is very likely to be taken. He shows no mercy for those he sees as truly wicked and vile, but for those who surrender or he feels may not be evil he will offer a chance to surrender – before or after the fight.

Notably, Roland seems to also bemoan a lack of luck at times, though one is hard pressed to figure if this is truly unjust luck or him looking too much into things.

Weapon: It’s an exquisitely forged blade with nary a mark or scratch upon its silvery white sheen. Roland’s never named it, and while it’s approximately as large as a claymore, he wields it with deft skill.

Background:

When looks at Roland, they may think him a knight of Lesallum and they would be wrong. Roland was born a commoner, the son of a humble blacksmith and a teacher and in a small village in the frontier of Lesallum not far from the Hinterlands. Having been born hale and hearty, Roland’s early life was like that of any other child. He learned, he played, he had a knack for helping his fatherout around the smithy (Never was allowed to use the forge though!) and overall, lived a peaceful life. The call to adventure was nowhere near as dramatic as his town being under attack, or being a chosen hero (Or so he felt), but rather, when his father was crafting a blade for a family friend – a retired knight who’s skill with a blade was ever sharp in his age. The man was named Arngier, and when he noticed the teen Roland clumsily practicing with a test blade that his father made, he couldn’t help but offer the young lad some expertise. Every day that Arngeir came, Roland was eager for more lessons – and eventually his father saw the benefit in letting his son learn swordsmanship rather than smithy work.

Over the years, Roland was hardened from a young man clumsily holding a blade, to a more daring blade bravo. Roland would have been happy as a town guard, were it not for a calamity actually happening. A beast from the hinterlands had wandered from the chilly woodlands with rending claws and vicious fangs to harass and attack nearby villages. Arngeir and Roland were the two most capable of fighting it, with the two tracking it down and fighting it as viciously as they could. It was when Roland was knocked down from a stray blow and nearly pounced upon that Arngeir sacrificed himself for the young lad, intercepting a fatal blow.

It was then that something changed for Roland. Rising shakily to his feet and reeling from the loss of a close friend, he could feel the charge in the air, the galvanization of his blows, and the lightning imbuing his blade that brought the beast low. He was a jewel bearer – that of Amethyst, if he understood the stories right. Bringing Arngeir back to the village and helping with the burial, it was a brief explanation to his family – something had changed, and he had to make his own path. He’d keep in touch he promised – and said he’d return one day. While his parents were unsure of what happened, his father gifted him an exquisite blade  which Roland has wielded since.

Likes: Spicy foods with flavor, fall weather, gentle rains, daring heroics, and dogs.

Dislikes: Those who live by the path of violence and power, cheating at games of chance, overly sweet confections, withering summer heat, and horseback riding.

ONs and Offs: I have an O&O threat in my signature though it’s a smidge outdated. Overal, the key for Roland is romance and chemistry with someone.

Potential plots involving your character?: (What would you like to see your character do, be involved in?) While this is kinda lame, I’m waiting to see what happens during the game. Romance with another character is aces but I don’t want anything forced so to speak. I’m go with the flow

Strengths/Advantages: (Please have at least three)

Skilled swordsman: Roland was trained by a master swordsman through most of his early teens to early adulthood. While he prefers his nameless blade, just about any sword will do in a pinch.

Determination: Roland doesn’t give up easily. He can be beaten down, pummeled, bleeding, a broken mess of a body but as long as he can still draw breath, he’s not going to give up.

Swift: Roland is fast on his feet and fast with a blade. He’s never been one to be particularly slow when it comes to risky situations.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages: (Please have at least three)

Perhaps a bit too confident: It’s not that he’s never been in a fight he hasn’t lost, but between being a bearer and his swordsmanship, he can be a bit confident for his own good.

Self sacrificing: Roland feels that as a warrior and jewel bearer, it is his duty to bear the burdens others cannot. This can lead to him being stretched thin, and/or exhausting himself.

Unlucky: Sometimes, you just don’t get the best luck and once in a while, bad things just happen to good people.

Thunderstruck: With a forceful smite, Roland hits with the force of thunder and can send his target reeling from the blow.

Semblance: (The Main special ability of the jewel holder that puts separates them from the rest of the jewels. This ability can only be used once per battle, and greatly diminish the holder's stamina to the point of full exhaustion.)

Stormbringer: As lightning coalesces around Roland, he becomes imbued with the very essence of a storm itself. Lightning crashes around him, lashing out against those around Roland as he becomes the eye of a storm. Covers the area immediately around himself, and moves with Roland

Partnered Chevalier: (As a Jewel Wielder, there is a right known as a Pact. Granting a Pact with an individual grants them magical abilities similar to that of a Jewel Wielder, however significantly diminished in power and scale. However, it grants the Chevalier magical ability and strength otherwise needed by that of physical crystals. When those in a Pact perish, the portion of power given returns to the Jewel Wielder.): None.

Weakness: (What is the main weakness of the jewel holder? Can they not focus their magical ability? Do they have very little stamina?) (Please note there must be a believable weakness for the jewel holder that adds a crutch to the player’s abilities) Voltaic blitz is exceptionally draining and he can’t imbue himself as long as he’d like to.  Stormbringer is indiscriminate  - it can hurt friend and foe, requiring Roland to be very careful with usage of his semblance. Somewhat new to his powers overall, not as refined as an experienced bearer would be.

Due to some thinking on it, I will be allowing everyone to make a second character if they would like to. If you would rather wait until the games starts, that is alright as well. No one has to bring both characters into the fray right away when the game starts, so keep this in mind. Appearance: Nikita is 5'8 with an athletic build built to easily navigate the forresty terrain of Wyspmoor. Her silvery-white hair (commonplace in her village) goes past her waist and she usually keeps it tame using a multitude of different braids and styles. The people of Wyspmoor hold tattoos sacred, each being adorned with a meaning and even mere villagers adorning a few. Nikita has two full tattoo sleeves that even start to go up her neck, plus one on her cheek. They signify the power and respect she earned...or at least had earned before she left.

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual

Personality (Must be at least two Paragraphs in Length): Nikitia has always been an enforcer of sorts for the people of Wyspmoor, she's not quite quick to trust, a little jumpy at seeing things as a threat and tends to like animals more than people. Despite being in this guardian-like role for most of her life...she's also a young adult, one that's never gotten to properly see the world. One would think she was extremely prejudice against outsiders and everything the world had to offer like she was raised to be. But those intense teachings only spurred her curiosity for all the things she'd never experienced. She's not just curious but easily excitable when it comes to new things and very open and accepting of things she hasn't seen before. After all, she was kept sheltered from a lot in the outside world so she's facing it with a grain of salt and having fun doing so.

Weapon: Chainblade

Background: The people of Wyspmoor have always been isolated, even before the wilds popped up. They had their own way of life and they were not looking for change. They had to adapt when the wilds appeared and moved quickly to become the gatekeepers of this mysterious and strange land. They had been able to keep it decently contained but had to adapt to the odd mist that covered their lands, blocking the sun from them and forcing them to change. When Nikita was born and she was recognized as a jewel from the mere age of 5 the entire village rejoiced. They felt they'd been sent a blessing, a gift from the heavens above.

Nikita was revered as a guardian, almost as a deity, trained and given her duties to join the rest of the forces that protected the village from outsiders and the wild itself. Then there was her most important duty...clearing the mist. This was a daily task for Nikita as the mist was persistent and seemed to be imbued with a strange foreign aura that liked to fight back against her own, but in the end it was still water and she could manipulate it. The people were happier, getting sunshine during the day though the mist would return each night, they were happy to have their guardian. But Nikita wasn't happy, all she'd ever known was duty and protection and to be wary of everything new but that's not how she felt. While she was honored to be a part of protecting her people -and was good at it too- the thought of being a glorified weather girl for the rest of her life was suffocating. She could do so much more and there was so much more out there.

So Nikita did what nobody has done at Wyspmoor before. She left...more like ran away as she couldn't have just waltzed out the front gate, not while her role was so important. It was selfish, sure but the village got along just fine without her before right? What was the point of this power if she were to remain trapped in that village?

What she didn't know was since her leave, not only did the mist return to Wyspmoor. But people have been going missing, disappearing into the wilds it seems. Maybe the timing is a coincidence, maybe it isn't.

-Intensive training: Coming from a village that's primary duty is serving as a border between a dangerous unknown and the dangerous knowns that are humans. Nikita has been combat trained.

-Drawing: While she can't just produce water out of thin air, Nikita can pull water from the things around her such as trees and grass. When in her awakened state she can pull water out of the air itself.
-Manipulation: Water listens to her beck and call, whether it's creating/stilling waves, floating around her or slashing at her enemies
-Heightened sense of others: People are 60% water right? There is no hiding/sneaking up on her once you're in her range as she can sense a water source. However crowds can mess with these senses.

Semblance: Water Dragon: Water is pulled from seemingly everywhere to create a sort of cyclone that takes shape of a long dragon. The water rotates fast enough to cut even on the outside and, if eaten, the vortex inside decimates.

Appearance: (Detailed description, at least one paragraph) Bhandro is impressively tall, standing at 6'4", and has a muscular build. He sports quite the number of scars all around his body, most prominently a gnarly one from the left side of his neck all the way up to his cheek. He has medium length black hair and tan skin.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality (Must be at least two Paragraphs in Length): Bhandro is a very self-interested and arrogant person. He calls it pride but it sometimes borders on arrogance. He argues that it is only arrogance if he can't back it up and he knows that he has the abilities to back up his boasting. This points towards his immense confidence in his own capabilities.

He's quite greedy as well. Growing up with nothing and as an orphan, he learned that the most important thing in the world is material wealth. The more of it he has, the better his life. Bhandro also enjoys to indulge in more "carnal" pleasures. He also enjoys grotesque violence.

Weapon: Lance

Background: Born in the Wilds, Bhandro has always had to experience quite the harsh life. He grew up every day fending for his life. He was an orphan, so he didn't know his family and he ran around with a band of delinquents made up of other orphans.

Pranks and misdemeanours turned into major crimes and full-blown felonies as their band of delinquents grew up. Bhandro was known as a cleaner, better known as the guy who shows up at a messy situation and deals with it. Whether it is stealing or killing, he has no qualms with either. However, there is a strict code their band follows that prevents them from doing certain crimes.

I kind of have two ideas first I wanted to know if the Obsidian was taken and also if dark magic also encompasses  necromancy (well that is kind of relevant to both ideas). If the gem is taken then I have an idea for kind of a town of sorts or safe haven for villains near where the Obsidian crashed with my character  being a key figure in said town (own the mine where obsidian shards (crystal's) are mined. Either way my character would be a villain.

At the moment, the Obsidian Jewel is On Hold for a player as they’re making their sheet currently. We are more than happy to have more people join to either have villains, anti heroes, characters that could join and switch sides, all kinds to be honest!

As for your idea, that also sounds very interesting! I would say you might wish to speak to th e player that has the Obsidian Jewel on hold, as you two might have some common ideas that could lead to some fun ideas or interactions! Beginning Plot for the Game
"It is the Year 700, the century marking the 7th Dawn of the Bearers arrival to the Earth. The world has see many incarnations of Bearers across the ages, certain territories praising them for their service and abilities that have blessed the world while just as many tarnish their name. Bearers of the Jewels have been spread far and wide across the country of Illuna, with no clear distinction of where they’ll appear within the next cycle, despite many a citizen claiming divination of their next appearance or location. Many territories within Illuna have begun to grow restless over the potential ownership of the massive crystal mountains, known as The Crystal Towers, due to their bountiful gift of magic crystals that have been privatized by separate Kingdoms.

During the turn of the new century, The Queendom of Lesallum, a neutral haven hailing within the central heart of Illuna, gained notice when their Queen, Aranea Chamillet, was revealed to be the Bearer of the Sapphire Jewel. Those who doubted her claim were made aware by her immense prowess in powerful ice magic, unfortunately at the same time, placing a target on her back. Many have tried to cross Lesallum’s borders to do harm to the Queen, resulting in Lesallum to post a permanent detachment of her soldiers to the border for protection. While many a man have fallen to the deathly battles of potential war along the front lines, Lesallum has continue to proper with it’s Queen at the helm.

Things have changed however, with but a week prior causing a massive storm of uncertainty to befall the Queendom. A display which no guard has bore witness to before, a beast of fire and rage had consumed the area nearest the border. Decimating the entire battalion of mercenaries and loyal Queendom guards alike, the few of the Lesallum guard who survived watched as the monster caved in on itself, shattering away to reveal a lone man. Unconscious yet breathing, the remaining Lesallum guard hurried to shackle the soldier in chains, trekking the 5 day long trip to return to the motherland, sending news of the impending arrival.

Presently, Lesallum has had no need to recoup the loss of a maintained border, as the single souls left to tell the tale had begun to spread word back to their leaders of the incident. While none are certain of what exactly the monster was, Aranea has had plenty of time to contemplate over the situation, as the lone soldier deemed responsible for the incident has remained locked and shackled within the dungeons. Kept closely guarded, Aranea has begun speaking to the man in question of the incident that had happened at the border, unsure of what she has been told is truthful. Worried this could be a curse made by dark magic to infect her people, as some have begun to grow ill from dark afflictions, Aranea tasks the lone soldier, and the Princess of Lesallum, to set on a journey to find the Bearer of The Pearl Jewel, known for her powerful magic in healing and casting away dark magic."

Appearance: Ami is about 171cm (5’7) tall, excluding her ears. She has a feminine figure and looks softer than one might expect of a knight. Her eyes are a bright aquamarine blue and her long flowy hair is royal silver. Her tail is the same hue of silver, expect the very tip of the tail that is closer to a cold pale blue.

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Personality: On the surface Amilyn appears to be a basic good girl; friendly and considerate. She aims to be a good person and make the right choices in life. For a vulpi, Ami is still young so she is learning about the wide gap between ideals and reality. All at the same time as she tries to balance between fulfilling her duties and relaxing and enjoying the little pleasures of life. Amilyn may appear as sweet and innocent, but she, like many others, has her darker side too. One of her uglier sides is her bad habit of resorting to manipulating when possible.

Weapon: Sword

Background: Amilyn’s childhood was something one could consider as happy and peaceful. She lived with her family in a remote location in Izora, near the base of the mountains. Being the youngest child and the only girl in her family guaranteed that Ami was quite spoiled by her parents. Inspired by knights and heroes in fairy tales and feeling somewhat duty bound by being a jewel bearer Amilyn decided she would become a knight so she could do something in order to make the world a better place, which led her to join the Order of the Silver Knights, a local organization that works to keep lands of Izora safe to live for everyone.

Amilyn’s parents warned her of people who would wish to harm her if they knew about her powers and told her to keep them as a secret, so there are only a few people who know that she is the pearl bearer. To hide her secret Amilyn poses as just an Invoker.

Alignment: Order of the Silver Knights

Likes: Winter and snow, sweet desserts, generous people, performance arts, positive attention.

Dislikes: Rainy seasons, mushrooms, incompetent people in high places, being restricted by rules.

-Silver Knight - As a knight of the Order of the Silver Knights Amilyn has received necessary training. She is skilled both in melee and unarmed combat and even capable of wearing armor and doing mounted combat.
-Magical afflictions knowledge - Amilyn’s interest in arcane knowledge isn’t just idle curiosity. Her will to avoid the final phase of her curse has urged her to study all the texts she can find of magical afflictions. For someone as young as she is, Ami has a vast knowledge of magical afflictions.
-Vulpi senses - In both humanoid and fox form Amilyn has keen senses. Her hearing and sense of smell are significantly better than what humans have.

Weaknesses:
-Obligated to help - If there is someone in need of help and the cause feels just, Amilyn feels like she is obligated to help. For her it’s hard, if not impossible, to ignore pleas of help from those who are in no position to help themselves.
-Kleptomania - It’s a compulsion. She steals things, things she can afford to buy and things she doesn’t even need. Later Amilyn feels huge guilt and tries to either return whatever she took or leave a payment.
-Big secret - Being a jewel bearer comes with its disadvantages. There are people who want to benefit from jewel bearers or kill them for one or another reason, and it js because of that Amilyn does her best to keep her being a jewel bearer as a secret from everyone.

Extra Info: Transformation - Like most of the vulpis, Amilyn can shapeshift into a full fox form. In her case her fox form is royal silver.

-Divine Armament - Amilyn can create a divine replicant of whatever weapon she is holding. The copy of her weapon will be many times larger than the original weapon and it will follow movements of her weapon.
-Radiant Blessing - As a bearer of Pearl, Amilyn has powerful healing abilities. She can heal even grave wounds and injuries, as well as cure various diseases and magical afflictions.
-Hallowed Bladerain - Amilyn can invoke a small range of falling blades of light from above in a localized area.

Semblance: Holy Nova - Amilyn will create a strong wave of divine energy around her and spread it around like a tidal wave. Name: Alren Velrande

Race: Hybrid (Lupine-Vulpi)

Appearance: Standing at 6'4 (193cm), from ear tips to feet, Alren is considerably tall for his species. Fairly well built and maintained through active training for most of his later life, time recently spent in servitude in Uruk has done little to diminish what he's built up, but he's gained noticeably more scars for it. His hair, as well as the furry tail he has, are a dark color and something he inherited from his Lupine father more than his Vulpi mother, save for the tail tip with is a bit lighter in color.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Personality: Though part Lupine and part Vulpi, his temperament is more ruled by his Lupine half. He's a bit more grouchy and confrontational, even without accounting for his weaknesses, but he understands when hard work and respect are to be recognized. Likewise, the Vulpi side of him helps him understand humility and deference to those more capable, even if he doesn't always agree with it. Often times this means he can flip from being nice and well-mannered in some moments to being touchy and hostile in another, according to his interactions.

Weapon/Magic: A pair of Steel Halberd-style Boarding Axes, ideal for fighting up close or hurling at a distance. In addition, he possesses qualities of an Invoker from one of his parents, adopting the element of Light to augment his skill set, preferring to use it in unorthodoxed ways.

Background: Alren Velrande was born, unfortunately, to a father he never got to know as the man left shortly before he was born in the care of his mother. Instead, for as long as he could remember, another man raised him alongside his mother. For the early years of his life, this didn't concern him, happily living his best life within the comfort and confines of his parents' home.

However, as he grew up, he began to feel distant from his family, realizing how little he resembled anyone in the household, among other things. Confronting his mother about this brought the truth that his father left early on in life before he could remember, slowly causing him to feel more like an outsider in the family, even though his mother tried to make him feel included.

Once he became of age, he chose to leave his home behind to seek a life of his own, to learn how difficult the world was on his own. Wandering around in search of the purpose and respect he desired, the few places he tried to set roots down in did not openly accept him for a variety of reasons, and so he continued to wander. Eventually, he opted to take up life doing risky adventurer and mercenary work in settlements and cities throughout the continent to make a life for himself. In following this life, he taught himself how to properly defend himself and fight, and built himself to be someone capable and reliable.

Unfortunately, life did not always work out the way he hoped, and one of his first forays into Uruk instead ended with him being dragged into slavery for some time, seemingly putting a swift end to any aspirations he may have had… Until he was turned free by request of another visitor to Uruk. Though he was thankful for this outcome, the person involved was someone from his past that he did not enjoy being assisted by, but he could not deny the second chance at life he was given. Since then, he's worked his tail off to pay back his rescuer so he can follow his life as he wished to once more.

Strengths/Advantages:
1- Foraging Expert - Alren is exceptionally good at scouting around for edible or other useful materials in the wilderness, as well as his ability to safely identify good ones from the bad.
2- Keen Eyes - Alren has very good eyesight, able to spot small objects or enemies in the distance. This also allows him to land a thrown axe attack from further off with ease.
3- Defensive Fighter - As opposed to being outright offensive, Alren has a more cautious and guarded fighting style that allows him to pick out and expose weaknesses in an enemy's fighting style while trying to minimize his own.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages:
1- Inferiority Complex - Alren has a very big chip on his shoulder at being made to feel mediocre in many situations. Once triggered, he usually goes overboard with trying to achieve betterment, which can often make him fail worse due to rushing.
2- Hot Weather - Alren has an intense hatred of hot, dry weather. It makes him feel itchy and quickly leaves him feeling tired and unmotivated. Normally he needs to have a lot of cool water on hand in order to get around issues with heat.
3- Impatient - Alren is the kind of person who cannot sit still for very long waiting for deliberations or a situation change. Usually he has to try hard to keep from acting on impulse and jeopardizing any currently existing plans or courses of actions, as he believes the swiftest resolutions bring about the fastest change, irregardless if it's for better or worse.

Extra Info: A characteristic of species like his, Alren is able to shift into a smaller animal form, although his is much more lanky and reminiscent of a Maned Wolf.

Name: “The Breathtaking” Bucca of Pararousi

Race (Human, Halfling, Orc, Fairy, etc.): Human Half Fae

Appearance: (Detailed description, at least one paragraph)
Even without his usually colorful attire and playful gait, Bucca naturally stands out in a crowd. Between his 6’1” standing and his wild, dark maroon, shoulder-length hair, and his lean yet muscular build, his is an appearance that tends to leave an impression. Above his sharp jaw and thin lips, more often curled into a smile than not, are a pair of travel-weary yet ever attentive amber eyes that one can’t help but feel they are the focus of, even in a crowd.

While his outfits have unfortunately been reduced to a single black tophat and a set of dark traveling clothes, Bucca hasn’t let that diminish his desire for flair. From the golden stitching riding the hem of his ankle length coat tails to the vivid scarlet scarf that resides beneath his high frilled collar, there are few areas on his attire where the primary color of his outfit are not loudly accented by heavily contrasting hues. Prime examples of this being a few locations symmetrically located on both the sleeves of his coat and pleated linen undershirt where sections of somewhat puffed out fabric have been sewn as to resemble tessellating red and white diamonds.

A silver hearted liar with a taste for tales and a disdain for the mundane, that is Bucca. A wayfarer with charitable holes draining his pockets and many a pilfered hat on his rack, that is Bucca. A romantic ever in pursuit of a warm hand to hold and never without heart ache in his wake, that is The Breathtaking Bucca of Beautiful Pararousi, or at least, what he might tell you.

While many trying to know the perpetual performer on a personal level have found his constant falsehoods to be frustrating, it is not out of ill-will that Bucca deceives. To the contrary, Bucca finds few things more enjoyable than company, especially among the unacquainted or unfamiliar. It is difficult then to tell if this is a conscious tactic to other at arm’s length, a force of habit brought on by his upbringing, or some combination of the two. Many hardly even put that much thought into his mannerisms, as his portrayal of the fool is so convincing that many imagine him to be incapable of complexity.

Bucca has always made little attempt to clarify himself for the benefit of others, even to those few he might consider friends. In his mind the greatest compliment he can pay is to entertain, and there are few things as compelling as intrigue. Unfortunately, this is a poor way of telling Bucca’s affection for a person, as he finds equal value in remaining enigmatic in the eyes of those he would see undone.

Weapon: Bucca carries a rapier and throwing knives, both with what appears to be golden inlay and red sashes tied around the hilts.

Background:
Born with the strained groan of a coursing wagon wheel beneath him, Bucca was brought into the world by traveling parents whom he would never have the opportunity to know. His first memories were of his life in the Aranea’s Mercy convent, a well patronized orphanage in the Plutocracy of Pararousi, renowned for its production of some of the land’s most accomplished performers and artists. Never was a child so well fit for his education as Bucca who took to singing, reciting, tumbling, juggling and more as a bird to the sky. However, there is nothing notable that goes unnoticed in Pararousi, and young Bucca was no exception. So it was that a wealthy patron sponsored the then teenager’s entrance into the esteemed Troubadour’s Association of Pararousi. 

Following his apprenticeship and education with the Troubadour’s Association of Pararousi, young Bucca was welcomed as a full member among their prestigious ranks, and subsequently ushered from his home city. While some might find this cold, it was an integral part of his education, and one he had long been looking forward to. Every member of the Troubadour’s Association was required to go out into the wide world as something of a good will representative of Pararousi, while also observing and replicating the performance arts of even the most remote corners of the world for the inspiration of future Pararousian performers and their patrons.

For fourteen years Bucca has traveled and experienced all the world had to offer. From every town and village he became more immersed in the various cultures of the world, his collection of notes, costumes, instruments and other performance accoutrements growing with each new experience until his wagon was filled to the bursting. Begrudgingly, he left many of these items with the convent on his occasional trip home, but he could not bear to separate from those with the most sentimental value until they were torn from his blistering fingers with roaring and furious flame.

Where interesting things occur, it is Bucca’s wish to be there. As he puts it, “No tall tale tickles the mind quite like one with a toe in truth.” In other words, he needs new material.

Apart from this, he was quite recently done what he views as an unforgivable wrong at Lesallum’s border, one he seems to relive every night. Can he live with such an injustice, or will a desire for revenge guide his hand?


Strengths/Advantages: (Please have at least three)
In the Know: Being as well travelled and social as he is, it’s impossible for Bucca not to be constantly aware of what is going on in the world. Whether it be from tavern boasts, a word shared on the road, or a escort’s tender whispers, Bucca remains ever abreast of affairs fair and scandalous.

Trades of the Traveler:At any given moment a careered traveler must know how to fix their wagon, mend their clothing, cook their meals, care for their animals, and, time permitting, get from one place to another.

Performance Professional: The troubadours of Pararousi often serve as goodwill ambassadors for their homeland in the farthest reaches of the explored world, and sometimes a bit beyond. With that being the case, the Academy for Traveling Arts insisted upon its graduates being deft jugglers, sonorous instrumentalists, and adept acrobats at the very least.

Weaknesses/Disadvantages: (Please have at least three)
Light Pursed: Despite rarely indulging in vice or luxury, outside of his costumes, Bucca is rarely without more than a few coins to his name. Fortunately, there are an abundance of those willing to lend to a charming bard, and most of them don’t hold grudges about unpaid debts.

Master of Few: Bucca might be able to keep his wagon held together and his costumes in pristine condition, but his talents as a craftsman don’t extend far beyond keeping things in working condition. While his skills in the performing arts are far more developed, he doesn’t quite compare with those who focus on a single act.

Starting Again: The horrific fire that blazed at Lesallum’s border did not just affect the fighter’s stationed there. While Bucca’s efforts saved his horses and more personal effects, there had been no time to save half a lifetime’s worth of instruments, costumes, sets and tomes of stories.
