One on One Idea

Seeking a one on one character. An Australian (or Brit or Scot) arrives in America and finds work as a housekeeper for a man who has been hurt before and has sworn off love.  Some time down the road, Immigration wants to not renew her green card so she's about to be deported, so her employer marries her to keep her in the country.

But then the unthinkable happens, and a serial rapist/ murderer breaks into the house while he's at work and attacks her, leaving her for dead. Her husband then realizes he has come to love her and together they struggle through what happened and her healing. The rape also leaves her pregnant.

Turmoil, tension, and a good deal many other things to work through. I like it. But will you have me?
