My character, a moon elf warmage, is neutral alignment.  Kolbrandr, I was thinking that my character's mother/father was passed over for the political marriage your parent received.  I would like for my character to be known as a a prodigy of sorts, and his knowledge of spells was limited only by the expertise of his instructors.  Warmages are not particularly popular among elves (especially moon elves and green elves), so he would stand out based on that.  While he does not push for war, he knows his talents suit him for it.  He also knows that war is a great way to advance his talents.

The small amount of money he has is the result of a duel with an armored knight.

Hum. How about this. So given the circumstances of the death of his brother, Curunarin has a certain sensitivity to people who have a sense about them of not finding a place well within their society or have otherwise chosen paths that mark them out from the usual. During such time as he spent in Syopiir in his wanderings he had ocassion to run into your character and offered a friendly ear/lessons in swordplay simply off the vibe he was otherwise getting, and when he moved on noted to your character to keep in touch and that if he ever wanted such, and trained himself up a bit more (I imagine there's probably a degree of age gap between the two, Curunarin is in the equivalent of his early 30s at this point, he was probably there when you were even younger), that the warband that followed in the expatriate Durothil's lord's wake would have a spot for him. That otherwise, post Curunarin having ultimately settled in Illefarn in the last few years more or less, they maintain a correspondance.

Sound like anything viable to you?

Sounds good, but my character is not proficient with swords.  Maybe he learned basic melee defense (since he does use armor and a shield).

I don't know why I didn't figure this out first. Not going to bother with the Ghaele for now, as I am going Red Mage!

Always wanted to play a high level Mystic Theurge. I have so many spells that I am literally drowning in options! I have 54 spells to cast in one day.

What nation are you affiliating yourself with to be from the nobility of? And.. how did you manage being a half elf when humans exist but really sketchily at this point in time?

Your character is cute and decently powerful. She has a certain pluckiness and spunk that others much find amusing. Men will enjoy her spry girlish beauty. ... That makes her the exact sort of girl Eisheth-Zenunim Vyshaar and Jerion Vovina would like to emotionally violate by killing everyone she cares about. Then leaving her in a cramped dark space to starve until they get bored and return to rip pieces of her off and make her eat them.

Elora Songwind

http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=544962

Daughter of Dieryan Songwind and Amalea Gemblossom, Elora Songwind was the third child and so was apprenticed as a Bladesinger.  Her older sister, Dahlia, joined the clergy of Corelon Laerethian, a position that would allow her to take charge of family affairs as needed.  Their older brother, Gawain, studied both politics and the arts of the Eldritch Knight and was expected to inherit the family’s estates and duties.

Several of her fellow students were devotees of the Eilistraee.  Elora fell in love with the dark maiden and her teachings, and achieved acceptance into the dancing place on her 101st birthday.  Her best friend was a Sworddancer—priestess of Eilistraee—named Shaleyaha.  After their 121st birthdays, both girls adventured together, growing quickly in power and great deeds.  Elora dallied with several of her friends, but in honor of her oath to uphold the elven way, she swore an oath to of celibacy, and warned every lover that she took that she would leave his bed a virgin.

In their hundred and thirty seventh year, Elora’s parents—now in their sixth century in the mortal plane, gave their children rich gifts.  They entrusted Gawain, his young wife Amoria, and their son Meridian with rulership of the family estates.  Then they went alone into the woods.  At sunset, they began to dance.  As they danced, the years fell away from their immortal frames.  When the first light of dawn touched them, they vanished.

Within a year, things were going wrong.  While Elora was away with her friends protecting an remote moon elf village from ogre-magi, Gawian and Dahlia fell into a months long quarrel, climaxing with Dahlia renouncing the Songwind name and going into self-imposed exile in distant lands.  Two years after that, Elora received a letter from her brother saying that it was imperative that he find Dahlia and make amends for his misdeeds.  He did not know how long he would be gone, but he needed Elora to assume authority in the house ‘til his return.

By the time she reached home, Elora learned that this letter was the only news anyone had of her brother.  He’d locked himself in his lab for three days.  When his wife ordered the lab forced open, he was gone without a trace.

Elora has faith in him, and tries to keep their holdings together for his eventual return.  Trained to embody and uphold the best in elvendom, this young woman—not yet a century and a half old—is dangerously blind to the flaws of her people.

Ahaa, so changing char concept? Fine with that but as Kolbrandr pointed out you cannot be a half-elf. You must be elf somekind and then pick what nation you come from (and subtype is likely from that nation but nothing prevents you being dark elf in moon elf nation although it would be a odd and demanding explanation somekind).

But I agree the pic is quite cute. But here is sexy (in mature way) and more elf looking red mage. And here is another. Just suggestions (not demands).

How's this for a character portrait?:

http://s3.goodfon.com/image/440354-1680x1050.jpg

It's ok, if we just keep imaging she has a dark bronze colored skin instead ash/grey (which should occur after dark elves get cursed to become drow).

Anyways I start somepoint list up all the chars and provide links to posts where you posted charsheets so we get somekind caste list besides numbers for nations.

Yeah I spent like 2 hours trying to find a good pic and could not find anything. That and I slept on it and maybe I'll stick with my Ghaele. I'll have to think about it some more.

Also you are assuming that for an half elf the other have has to be human. But whatever.

You didn't build the magus right. A proper magus gets one level in wizard just to get the bonded item ability. Since that can be used in a weapon. Next, you use that same weapon to get it as a spellstoring blade. So, when you get into combat and when you are properly preared, cast true strike on yourself and then attack with the magus sword channel ability, and unleash three attack spells at once from one sword blow.

Why would you do that? The Arcane Bond ability specifically only works for wizard spells, and all it lets you do is recover a lost (wizard) spell. You still have to pay to add magic traits like spell-storing, so you could have a spell-storing blade without the wizard level. You'd have to give up armor to avoid failure chance for that single wizard spell, when instead you'd have another magus level that's better in every way.

Someone is missing something important here, and it might be me, so I'm curious why you think a wizard dip helps the magus.

Still building my Stronhold and Followers. The last two days I had to work long shifts at work so I didn't have a lot of time. This week my hours are pretty short (6 total) so I should have plenty of time too finish it soon.
Been away, now i'm back. Updated based off changes in my life.

Do humans have a standard language, just curious.

Not really right now, they're not much of a presence to speak of to have developed a shared trade tongue or even some kind of society, it was why I was asking if we should just treat the starting common language bonus as "insert whatever language here". Depending on what you go with (because why should books agree with each other? that would be useful), there aren't really humans at all around at this point, or there are at best wandering small primitive tribes rolling around various places. Humans aren't either way a deal for another 4000 years until they're prevalent and organized enough to found Imaskar.

*sniff* man, Imaskar would be another fun place. Raiding the multiverse itself for slaves! Dimensional manipulation! Megalomaniacal god spiting hubris! Riding dragons around! Going to war with an entire pantheon (and, you know, losing, but still, the Imaskari, they were pretty metal)!

Zaer Darkwail

As Kolbrandr said the humans have their own tribal dialect. They are cave men society at best. They can be clever or learn rapidly how work bronze or iron if someone bothers teach them. But overall they are not considered important at all and luckily humans were largely ignored in Crown Wars (as if humans had got between the battles or involved in them....they would had been brutally wiped out).

Anyways I agree that Common needs replaced. It's considered free language slot which can be used to any language what elves could normally know (minus common).

Ok, think while on it. Anyways what you thinked other side to be then? Dwarf? Orc? Any of those would be plainly radical and demanding quite good explanation (and for simplicity sake I would not allow half-elves at all so folks would not try think other options than elves for player races, ghaele was meant to be only exception).
