No, I mean how is Johny Gatt's name an 'obvious' play on some 50's slang word. Makes no sense at all. I assumed you meant it was something to do with the war, hence the racist part.

His name is Gatt drop one T and you get Gat which is just a slang term for a gun that predates the Roaring Twenties in America.
